[Resolved] Reliance Broadband — Terribly slow connection | |||
Subscriber id:[protected], using Freedom 999 plan - 12 Mbps (FUP 25 GB, 1 Mbps post FUP) I have been using the above connection for a few months now, and so far the service has been terrible in every way. Reliance promises 12 Mbps download speeds, which might be verified from speedtest.net but the internet speed is no where close to that. I have tried other speed test websites and received results from 500 kbps - 3 Mbps at best. Video sites are heavily throttled, even 360p videos on YouTube don't play buffer free which is an atrocity for an advertised 12 Mbps connection. I tried YouTube's own speed test and wasn't shocked to speed result of 780 kbps (picture attached) which indicates heavy throttling. Videos don't play smooth on other websites as well. File downloading used to be much better, but has become pretty bad also recently. Meanwhile, even the connection is not reliable and frequently fails. I have never had to call customer service for any proodcut, as much as I have had to do for this internet connection. I am going to terminate my connection at the end of this billing period. Good bye to Reliance, if you're in Chennai I highly recommend you to not avail services from Reliance. Regards, Saravanan Was this information helpful? | |||
