Spice Mobile / D-6666 — Poor quality, Horrible service and customer service

Dear Sir,

I had gained a very bad experience by the SPICE D6666 Handset which was purchased on 01 Jan 2010 , from Hot spot jayanagar showroom & faces the below problems:


I only use my mobile phone approx 1 hour a day , still I have faced the problems below

1. The mobile pack telling that “Do not accept if seal is broken” and there is a sticker, So I purchased a sealed packet. Since I am busy I open the Box when I reach home after two days, Then I realized that the back cover is not fixing correctly.. some manufacturing problem
2. I was using 2 sim cards (GSMGSM) , I observe that the battery back up is very limited. While traveling, it become horrible.. with in 10 hours it will drain out completely, even it is charged fully before the travel.
3. As the 2nd point I switched off the mobile to save battery charge.. Still battery got dried out!!!
4. So far I not able to contact the service center.. so I just tried only one sim to save the battery back up.. that worked at last.. then it was getting more than two days
5. Java support was there with the mobile .. But the performance was too bad..We canot play a game also
6. 2 mega pixel camera is bull .. I never able to take any picture with clarity or with out shaking

7. Totally we have to tell the product does not meet any Quality at all ,which they are offering!!!!


So at last I send lot of mail to the customer care Spice ,and called them.. they told these suues they fix ..and ask me to give the mobile to service center @Mobile seva, Jayanagar Banglore. I gave the mobile 13th Feb 2010. They collected my mobile and contact details and told me that they will call me with in 4 days.

However they not called!!! At last after 8 days I gone to the service center .. that was fun .. I asked about my mobile. .Actually the receptionist was using my mobile phone I seen that !!!

And she went inside and removed the sim card and told me that It is solve!!



I just inspect my mobile.. The Back cover condition become horrible.. now we can see that it is almost shaking badly ..I asked about that.. she told that they tried but it damaged .. and they are telling it is from my hand!!


I argued I not collect my mobile back.

So what I have to do now.. my issues

I spend 6800/- on the New Year day. Think that the product is worth enough
Because of the warning “Do not accept if seal is broken” I have not opened it

1. There was a cover problem,
2. Battery problem..
3. Java performance problem
4. Camera problem,
5. Dual sim problem,
6. Even we switch off the mobile battery got drained out problem
7. No proper customer care service
8. Service center people are very bad and rude


So is there any way to get the money back??? With in one month o[censored]sage I was facing lot of issues and spend lot of money to call customer care people. Traveling , facing rude behavior from the service center


Can you people help me to how to handle this legally? I have the supporting documents with me. This is a clear example to how customer getting cheated

Spice Mobile — Buggy product and poor support

I bought Spice (model D-88N) mobile in June'08. From Dec'08 onwards I started having problems with the product as I was not able to charge the mobile. I approached their service center at Hyderabad in the month of Feb'09 and I was asked to come after 2 days to take my mobile. When I went back I was handed over the mobile saying the problem got rectified. But when I checked after some time it wasn't charging. Staff at service center ask me to leave the mobile so that they can send it to Bangalore office for repair as they are unable to do it.

This time after a week I got my mobile back and after two days, the problem re-surfaced again. As the problem is recurring, I want the mobile to be replaced with another one. Currently the mobile is with service center again (Ref Job Sheet #2947/S dated 9th March, 2009)

I am a spice D-6666 user. I have pointed various defects on this set.
I have searches many about this model on the spice-mobile.com.
On searching web i found that in this set there are various facilities given but that actually not present in my mobile set;
what the problem may be?
The defects are this set does not support more than 128 songs on audio player music library and these
songs can not be selected by the user. Then why we need memory card expandable upto 4 GB?
The camera is 2 megapixel, but the quality is very poor. Also as given in the web site it does not support camera zoom level
greater than 240*320
and does not support AM radio.
Java performance is so poor there is boring using java first install them and after installing every time you use lunch them.
There is no option to take action on selected files in memory card, phonebook, bluetooth etc and many more.
What is the problem with mobile set and me and what is the solution of this?
Why there are not these facilities present? I want the solution.
Please reply with solution.
The mobile set is manufactured and imported on sep 2009.

it true evn i faced problems! i used it for six months just from today moring my speaker is not working & its under warranty whn i cal spice cus care they r asking me to goto mobile seva jayanagar bangalore. what shall i do whether shal i go & giv it for service to the same place or any other gud centers are u aware?

Spice Mobiles — Scratch on Touch screen

I have buy cell phone by homeshop but mob touch screen is lite scratched mark in middle. So please repalce the mobible set.
