What is this IMEI? I guess its just to stop unbranded mobile phones. But, I have a SPice. I kept getting a message from airtel that "if i have an invalid IMEI number, no sim card would work" on my handset. So, I submitted my phone's IMEI number to 121. I got a reply TWICE that my IMEI number is valid. Yet, on 1st November, my "sim card registration failed". Now, I have been advised to go to an airtel shop to get it...

I have Spice M-4580 dual sim mobile handset with IMEI No. by *#06# is= [protected] & [protected] which are also written on back side of mobile.It is informed by Reliance network that these IMEI no. are invalid and connection will be cut off after 30 Nov. 2009, what should I have to do? Sir, I have purchased a new spice M4580(dual sim) set on 03/11/09 from The Mobile Store at Porvorim(Goa) and found that the set is without vibration mode also found that when you write a message it takes long time to get the words typed on the set and when someone calls on one number and other person trying me on other number get's the message "the phone is out of coverage area"

Five months ago I bought a spice cell phone on the name of my father Mr. Anil Kumar from the branch of Hot Spot Bhajanpura.And the company give me the 1 year warrenty on it but my phone is damage in five months.
