Wrong information an[censored]njustified charges on SCB card No.[protected]
I have SCB credit card No.[protected].I had make all payments after discussion with Collection deptt. SCB, ITO Office which are pending at .This is really harassment to the customer by sending payment reminder mails and calls after making payments cleared.
I discussed matter with SCB Collection Executive Mr.Murari[protected] regarding my issue, he checked and told me that your account is nil and you need not worry to pay any amount.
When I have complainted to your customer care team 3-4 times regarding the same problem.Everytimes they said, "Sorry for inconvenience, we are able to give you update for the same.your complaint has already forwarded to concerned team, they are working on it".
In my last call to customer care, They said we will give you a ring after taking updates from the team.
Pls tell me why this customer care is for???
They suppose to help help or to harass the customer ...???
When I have mentioned Executive name.Why they are not discussed the matter with him????
This is really to much, when after clearing all the account, calls and mails are received then what are the solution provided by SCB to the cusotmer.
Pls take this issue to consumer court for the same, Otherwise these banks will really make money by levied fianace charges and late fees to people.

Now if i call up the customer service, they speak very rudely. They are saying that I need to pay back that 3000/- and then follow up with bank and CIBIL to get the name removed.
Please tell me if theres any other way as the above process will take much time.

Also please note ::: If you are also facing such kind of issue and you want a loan, you can opt out for the banks which are not members of CIBIL (like Barclays from which I got my loan when HDFC and SCB rejected it). For full list of CIBIL members you can look out theirs site (cibil.com)

The phone banking response is so bad they speak rudely. They don't solve the issue instead they want us to do the settlement done by paying the amount only they don't suggest anything else.
If any of you have been able to resolve this problem please help me as well.

Standard charters bank Ghana is one of the dirty administration in the world as the scammers using there official information as well as documents and they don't care although the police had been informed and the minister of the financial and economical of Ghana but also they don't care I see that they are involved with the scammers MICHEAL KWAMIEI have send to them the phone no of the scammers and add and all details as well as the receiver of my money sent through western union and money gram but no result
So I advice every bank DONOT DEAL WITH THIS BANK and I challenge any responsible in this bank if he can stop these scammers and keep the dignity clean of this bank

Standard Chartered Bank — settlement of account:SCB card
with above mentioned settlement refering to SCB Card A/c No [protected] I wish to inform you that after settling all dues as per your letter dated 19th march 2002, you have not closed my account with cibil. I request you to do the needful in this regard.dont know — list of defaulter
i am shocking to know that my name is listed in defaulter list.please specify me which financial dues i have.
If any person settles his account with the bank, then the bank should remove the name from default list in 15 days.
I had their credit card for 8 years from 1998 to October 2006. I cleared all my dues in October 2006, paying Rs 22019/- (for pre-closure of a loan on card, no other dues existed ) and so there was the next statement saying no dues.
I had requested for closure of account and cancellation of the card and they had agreed.
However, I started receiving calls from those guys next year (in 2007) saying I had dues.
It turned out that there were no dues at all, but they had renewed the supplementary card at a charge of Rs 600. Then they deducted Rs 600 from the closed loan account and re-opened my loan account without any information!
As a result, my loan account reopened and it added Rs 500 per month for default.
The "recovery agents" called and talked very rudely again and again and I explained to them the whole thing. But they still disagreed and told me I owed something to the bank.
The customer is helpless in such a situation, they can anyway put your name in CIBIL on false charges.
I am waiting for divine justice to show on Standard Chartered Bank.
Samething i am facing, actually i had taken a loan on credit card and 3 emis were missed and one agent came to me and he told me to 10000 and it will be settled actual amount with interest 22000, so I paid 10000 and he had sent the Settlement letter.
Here the main they are not updating the details with CIBIL that he had settled the amount, instead of that they are telling the CIBIL that so and so amount is still remaining. This causing a lot of problems. SCB people are telling that if you pay the total amount then that will be cleared at CIBIL.
Because when we apply for any loan its getting rejected.
Please let us find the Solution for this without paying the money is there any solution.
Please give an idea, we all fight together.

Standard Chartered Bank — Regarding setlement amount after 3 years
Dear SirI was having Gold card of Standard Chartered Bank in 2006,and the card was surrendred and closed in 2006 ,for witch the Bank issued us confirmation letter on account of cancillation of Credit Card and settlement of amount,now after 3 years the Bank calls are coming for settlement of accounts.The letter given by Bank is not traceable due to laps of 3 years,even I am not remembering the credit card number,why the Bank not updated the settlement amount,and calling and harreshing us after 3 years when I am unable to findout the record given by Bank.
Please intract with the Bank for this unjustified act.

Then I refused to pay up, and went to consumers court for deficiency in service because when we buy the service (card) from the bank, they are responsible for its effective conduct. If the merchant banker did not verify the signature (which was so glaringly different from signature on the card) the bank would be responsible for negligance of the merchant (because a cardholder has no privy of contract with the merchant)
But surprisingly the consumers forum did not uphold this principle, but simply relied on the date of intimation of loss. I wanted to fight it out in the national forum but it was simply too much for a single individual like me, and the case had already dragged for more than one year (though consumers courts are supposed to be meant for speedy resolution!). The pressure, threats and misbehaviour from the bank and its agents was just insufferable and bad taste.
So when State commission dismissed my case with an advice to fight it out in Economic offences court, I decided to wind it up once for all, and struck a settlement deal with SCB. The initial disputed amount was Rs. 27K, but over a period of 15 months they had bloated it upto 50K. We settled the deal for 16K and got the full and final settlement letter, and I forgot it as a bad dream, thanks to our banking regulation system.
But recently I applied for a Homeloan with another bank. When the committment is at a very critical stage and loan sanction is very important, it has got heldup due to CIBIL defaulters list which says there is a writeoff of Rs. 62K against my name from SCB!!! To me it looks like they kept on adding interest and latepayment etc even after full and final settlement!!!
Now I am seriously planning to take it up with CIBIL, RBI, and Banking Ombudsman. Any suggessions are welcome [protected]@hotmail.com
I am also facing the same issue from Standard Chartered Bank.
For me there was a serious operation happened "Gangeroneous Gall Blader" in USA. Then I left to INDIA after 3 months I rejoined in my Chennai office that too I was not fully recovered.
Again I was suffered and travelled back to Vizag and admitted into the hospital, during that time my card was stolen in Chennai and it was swiped it for Rs 49, 800. Then immediately I dispute all the transactions with SCB, and submitted all my medical records.
Bank did not send me all the charge slips, but they are started harrasing me over the phone. And I told that as I am liable I am ready to pay whatever its required, but I need help of gettting the charge slips.
Then collection team forced me to pay for Rs 40, 000, and I paid but they did not settle because I did online transfer and no signature on settlement letter.
After that I moved to Netherlands, from there I called to SCB and asked them to close it if they want I will pay the entire full amount, and requested them like anything to not put my name in CIBIL.
As soon as I back from Netherlands, I visited to SCB bank and asked them can I pay the full amount or not. Collectiong team forced me to pay for only Rs, 11, 000 and not required to pay the rest to get there credit and they issues settlement letter. That time also I called the customer care centre and they tld me that my name will not be goign to CIBIL.
I paid around Rs 51, 000 instead of Rs 49, 800, but they put me in my name into CIBIL, and my entire career aspirations are gone. I am 100% genuine with all the bank, and I paid USD3000 for my medical bills even I left from the US.
Now, I am not able to digest. I asked the bank, and bank replied me stating that they will issues NOC certificate, and they will send the same to CIBIL, then will remove my name.
Still, I am fine whatever the money its required I am ready to pay for it. Now, I can't live if this is what. I was not able to live, if any one suspects for the mistake what I have not done it. Already half of my health was gone because of my health and harrasment from the bank. I never hide my face contact details from the bank as well.
Sincerely requesting some one to drag me or bank to the court to resolve this case asap.

standardchartered — remove my name from cibil
i have a creditcard standard chartered NO:[protected] in 1998. in 2003 i settled the amount by settlement icici bank cheques .there is no phone calls and follow up till last week. but i received a call from mumbai that rs 14000 due and my name in cibil.i clarified the details.they told that no details reflect in my a/c.pl settle rs 22000 then we will clear ur name from cibil.seven years after they called me and forcing for payment.
once settled how can i again pay the money.
And now we have fixed-up a settlement for Rs.1.6Lac. I was about to accept the settlement letter and clear this amount. But after realizing your sufferings, I can't decide whatt to do further. I am feeling helpless and looted. I am supposed to lend the cheque by 13th-Sep-2010(Monday). Its almost near.
Please help me make a decision. Your advice will be highly appreciated. Its emergence.

HDFC Bank — Full Payments done but they add my Name on CIBIL
Hi,i am the reqular customer of HDFC BANK and i have take a lon from bank and due to some problem i have pay my emi's late but i have done my all my payments with late fee but bank add my name on CIBIL.
I got all that reversed and paid the outstanding of Rs.7/- (YES - SCB OR FOR THAT MATTER ANY BANK WANTS EVERY PENNY BACK !!). This time I got everythng in writing and got a written confirmation that i dont feature in any defaulters list. This was a year back.
Now when I applied for home loan, I came to know that SCB has declared my status as "WRITTEN OFF" for outstanding of Rs.7 !!! This had bought down my credit score. Since I had all the records in writing, after continuous follow ups with SCB after two months, they have agreed to mask my incorrect cibil status. Unfortunately, i dont know if they have done it as I need to wait for 45 days before I fetch my CIBIL again and check. Also note that CIBIL only updates its record as per the bank's instructions. So the only way customer can get his CIBIL cleared is through the Bank which has reported it.
PIECE OF ADVICE:
1. Calling customer care to resolve such issues is a big risk. Call may or may not get recorded, but you will definitely not have any proof. Customer care exec can take you for a ride, just so that you disconnect.
2. Always resolve these issues over emails. Though this is a painful process and takes more time, you will have everything in writing. Customer care exec also tread carefully here. Bottom line: GET EVERYTHING ON PAPER.
3. Banks are there only to make money, they will go to any extent to get money, they wont even stop at mentally harassing the customers. So be very careful when you go on credit.
Please forward this mail to concern manager and revert back to me within 3 days’ time. I have already given authorization to my wife to deal with all my SCB bank transactions. At present she is in India. If you could tell me how to close my account, she will come to the bank and will close my account immediately. I cannot take tensions on regular basis from your bank. I don’t want to hold any more discussions with the bank. Just inform me whether bank agrees to minimum quarterly maintenance of 25, 000 Rs/- for my account or to cancel my account.
With reference to the above subject and attached mail which I have sent last week, I feel deeply offended by standard charted bank by changing the policies which are not genuine not amicable. Without prior information I am charged with 1654.5 Rs/- towards the program maintenance charges. After enquiring with my customer relationship manager, I came to know the reason for cutting the charges is, NRE account holders should have minimum balance of 500, 000 Rs/- as a fixed deposit or in any other formats with the bank otherwise bank will keep on debiting the amount without notice. When I was opening the account 7 years back, I was told by the relationship manager in Dubai that only 25, 000 Indian rupees should be maintained every quarterly of the year and this policy will never change. Other banks like CitiBank, HDFC etc. are not even charging 25, 000 Rs and some bank quarterly deposits should be maximum of 10, 000 Rs/-. If the bank is changing the policies on regular basis, I have to lookout for other banks. I cannot take tensions on regular basis from your bank.My customer relationship manager in Hyderabad, told me that the bank has agreed to refund the program maintenance charges of 1654.5 Rs/- which was debited from my account. Please be informed that I can maintain a quarterly balance of 25, 000 Rs/- per month only. As I am not availing any benefits from SCB bank, I don’t see any reason for forcing me to keep extraordinary deposits in the bank. If SCB is stringent in their policies, I have to cancel my account on an urgent basis. I request you to tell me the formalities required to cancel the account with Standard Chartered Bank. I presume that at least bank will not create problems in closing my account.
Standard Chartered Bank — False blaim of having Credit card and recovery for the same
I and my husband both neither have any account,credit cards nor deal any kind of business with Standard Chartered Bank.But one day, all of sudden, one person knock on the door and said that he is from Standard Chartered Bank and my husband(Sumeet Barua) has some dues to pay to the bank.I got a shock and told him that none o[censored]s have any business with this bank.After having long troublesome discussion,he confirmed my husband 's cell phone number,date of birth and even the complete name and none of them matched with the details of the person he wanted to talk with.After some days, the very same person, again troubled us by arriving at the door and saying that this is the address of the person who has to pay the dues.Again after so much of annoying discussion,he said that the person is not picking up the cell phone and he got the address from that person documents that he submitted to the bank.We provided him so much proofs by giving correct name,cell phone no and even date of birth and asked him to bring any other proof if he have of that person who claims to be my husband by providing our address on his name.I have this very serious complaint about the same bank and i want compensation for annoying us so much even when we dont have any kind of communication/business with this bank.Why this bank provides loans/credit cards to people when it doesnot verifies about one's identity and troubles working people like us?Please provide us any suggestion how to deal with this situation.I am thinking to file a complaint against them in police station too.
Standard Chartered Bank — Personal loan not process on time
standard chartered given me 100% assurence that my money will be creadited by 21/10/2011. But after 4 days time from actual time also loan was not process. I was require this money very urgently for some personal resones. Loan processing representative mane is Geetmala. I think all Indians should boycott this lousy Bank in all personal and business transactions. Only then this Bank will learn the lesson and behave in honest manner in India. people should refuse accepting Standrd chartered Bank cards, chequess, and other instruments. Indian Business houses should refuse all BGs, letter of credits and payments to / from Standard Chartered Bank.
Standard Chartered Bank — Harrased by bank as they have involved me in cibil forcely without informing anything related to payments
I have been harassed by standard charted. Bank,they have not inform me about any due payments of my credit card from 2003 ..now they have send me a letter of Rs 22000/- over due..and my outstanding is of rs 200 as they r showing,they have not inform me anything..and at the time when they were issuing me the gold card ,they told me that there are no charges apply with this card ,because of there fault i am in a CIBIL CASE and my home loan is been delayed..i want delails of my card numberStandard Chartered Bank — imposing wrong charges and reported in CIBIL
Dear sir,i had standard charted bank credit card in 2006 which i never used in my life and i called them straightway to disconnect this card and i have been told that safely destroy that card. because i never used that card it has no transaction history in bank system and i never revived any sort o[censored]pdate or query from the bank regards to any bank charges or payment,no latter or mail from the bank.
after 6 years CIBILL notify me that it has out standing amount of Rs.39,799.00 which i have to pay to clear my credit history.
i went to standard charted bank to solve this issue. i been told to send an email to clearance department and it will be sort
it out with 7 working days.i sent them mail and call them about that issue. i received mail stated that i will be contact by them within 7 working days and around 10 days i haven't received any call regards to that issue! i call them again and sent them mail and i received the same automatic generated mail that they will call me on my cell no.it took more than 1 month to solve it and the told me that it was mistake by the bank.
now its almost 1 month and i ask them about NOC and the not giving me the certificate and not sending any updated information to CIBILL to update in their system. i am 55 years old and not really familiar with this web and email world and i don't have the net connection and they still not providing me the proper answer and any callback and when i call them they ask me to sent email to same ID and i am reciving the same automatic generated answer. other bank stop my bank loan process and they asking for NOC and standard charted bank not providing me the NOC for wrongly charged account

Standard chartered bank is run by bunch of robbers and thieves. They have no ethics, they will fool you and loot you like there is no tomorrow, and CIBIL is the major weapon they are facilitated with. I have faced the same situation and paid 66, 000 for a real usage of 15, 000. Still they are reporting outstanding in CIBIL, Though they issued me No DUE Certificate. I am fighting with them to get the things in order. But I advice to all NEVER EVER USE ANY SERVICE OF STANDARD CHARTERED BANK. As it is the worst bank in the mkt and should be thrown out of India.
