With reference to my Standard Chartered Bank Credit Card Number [protected], the bank had wrongly showed cash deposit of Rs 27, 000 on March 4, 2009 at the same time service tax has been charged.
Later Rs 27, 000 has been charged to my card without any intimation.
The usage was happening on the card and at the same time the reversal of Rs 27, 000 took place. The charges for limit exceed has been debited to my card dated May 4, 2009.
It was entirely the mistake of the bank who first wrongly showed cash deposit and at the same time without any intimation reversed the said amount. I had also informed the bank that due to my important commitments I will not be able to pay entire Rs 27, 000 in one shot but half (i.e. Rs
13500) in June and balance in July. The charges also needs to be reversed.

Also today Rs 2333 has agin being charged as charges.

You are hereby requested to kindly look into this matter .I had already discussed this at customer care and had also written email but unfortunately they are not responding

with due respect i would like to draw your attention regarding the issue of my credit card No. [protected]. That on the month of July i didnot receceive the statement after contact the customer care i know the total outstanding of my card due to saturday and sunday i unable to pay the bill. i will pay the bill on 03.08.09. and my bill due date is 31 july 09 due to not received the statement i unable to my bill within due date. for this the bank has charge a late payment of Rs. 600/ ( Six Hundred ) .In the month of August i have drop my credit Card payment cheaque before four days from the due date at Sky Pack Drop box but the cheaque has not been cleared with in due date and in my next statement i have seen the bank has charge Over limit charge of Rs. 500, Late Payment Charge of RS. 500, Interest Charge of Rs. 799.48, And Service Charge of Rs, 219.41.for that reason i did not pay my current bill due unnessary charges .
so please do the needful things so that i can pay the exact bill by avoiding all this charges and continue using the card .
i hope you will do some favourable reply from you end.

    Dear Concern officer,

    I am an employee at Infosys Technologies LTD, Pune (Initially Mysore).
    In the month of June 2006, one of your representatives came to our Hinjawadi, Pune premises pressing hard to the customers to go for a SCB credit card.
    He said that there would be absolutely no charges on the credit card. After applying for the card, I shifted back to mysore and hence never received my credit card. And the incident was forgotten for two years.
    Suddenly after 2 years one of the SC representative from Collections dept calls up saying you have defaulted on the Credit card - [protected] of amount Rs 8-9 thousand and threatening me to pay back the same. I tried explaining him that I never received the card and if possible please send me the details (Issued To and my signature) that I have received the card, but the representative could not give me any such details.
    When I asked him how could you charge me such a high amount without any transaction. To my surprise(shock) I realized that the card was linked to some Insurance premium without my notice.
    The representative calld me several times to settle the amount and I asked the same question repeatedly to give me the details of who issued the credit card and to whom. But no reply and after that everything stopped, there were no calls. Now when I go and apply for a loan I realize that this has been reported to CIBIL with a write off mark due to which I am not able to avail my loan.

    This is highly unprofessional and disappointing to know that such a high caliber bank troubling its customers with such unprofessional representatives stating that the card is free for life time with no extra costs. After hearing several such incidents against Standard chartered, this has created a very negative impression about Standard Chartered within our IT companies.

    This is my sincere request to Standard Chartered that please have a look at my unintended problem and revert back with any solutions to remove my name in the defaulters list of CIBIL. This would help both the parties to maintain a good relation and create some positive environment to bank with standard chartered.

    I am chartered accountant by profession. I had also suffered problem similer to you in 2008 and suffered lot. Having suffered due to credit cards and CIBIL in 2008, have decided to help those who are also suffering due to such problems. In last 2 years I have gone through CIBIL Act, Rules and Regulations, severla other RBI guidelines as well.

    I am personally aware about Standard Chartered that they are doing lot of illegal activity and have already made complaint with RBI. But I want several complaints directly to RBI so that RBI is forced to issue inspection of Standard Chartered, which will bring out lot many surprises.

    In your case I am 100% sure that some legal action will be taken by RBI. In case if you find appropriate please revert back to me on my email ID - [protected]@yahoo.com. Helping you will be my pleasure...

      Recently I have applied for a car loan in SBI. Bank informed me that my name is in the defaulters list of CIBIL. On enquiry I understand that my name is appearing in this list due to non-payment of Rs. 41814/- to Standard Chartered Bank, which is for Credit Card.
      I wish to clarify following things on the said account.
      On 05 FEB 2003, I received credit card statement from Standard Chartered Bank for the amount of Rs.10896. Out of which Rs. 3000 were for annual fee of the card for the next year. I paid Rs 7742 and asked them to reverse Rs 3000 as I did not wanted to keep the card for next year.
      Surprisingly, next month bank sent me a statement showing Rs. 3000 as an outstanding amount. I talked to customer service officer and requested him to reverse this amount. At that time he offered me discount of Rs. 1000 on annual fees. I told customer service officer that I do not want to keep this card. He insisted that I should think for one month and He would reverse entire amount on a phone call if I do not wish avail their services.
      Very next day I told customer service officer that I do not want to keep this card. In spite of this, bank kept on sending me their statements without even giving a new card. I repeatedly asked bank officer to close my account and reverse these charges. After three months, they stopped sending me the statement. Now to my surprise, my name is appearing in the defaulters list.
      I strongly feel that this is unfair act on the account of Standard Chartered Bank to put my name in defaulters list. They cannot force me to use their card if I do not want it. Please let me know what are the options available with me to deal with this unfair act by the bank.

      Looking forward to a suitable action at the earliest form your end.

        I am an extremely unhappy customer of Standard Chartered Bank.
        Following are my Issues
        The Current Interest rate is at 13.4% in spite of there being at least 3 relief’s in the past 3 years from the government on home loan interests
        In the year 2008 the total Interest deducted from my account was INR 109867.53 and the Principal amount deducted was only INR 3429.00 – Which is an atrocious ratio of deduction
        Again in December 2007 I was approached by one of your agents stating that the EMI had increased and I have to give fresh EMI cheques, which I did. I was told that the old cheques would be returned to me directly from the office. However in the Month of February – the EMI was deducted twice from my bank account.
        I had kept aside that extra 10, 000.00 INR for some other commitments which failed due to this gross issue from your end. This has led to terrible mental, financial and emotional turmoil for me and has affected me, not to mention that I have lost my complete face, respect and dignity in front of the other party.

          I hold a Standard Chartered Credit Card which was issued to me around 3 years back saying that the card was a free card and that i don't have to pay anything extra for the same. However for the last 1 year the company has suddenly started asking for Annual Fees of Rs. 750 . Which i requested and they promptly waived off. After three four month the same thing appeared again and i requested again for waiver which they did saying it won't be charged again. But it has again appeared in my statment and this time they have refused to take it back saying its the basic charge for the card. When i asked them to cancel the card they asked me to pay the entire amount outstanding which is above Rs. 25, 000. I have been a very regular with payments and have never defaulted but paying Rs. 25, 000 at one go is not possible for me. I would like to take the legal route against the company

          Kindly advise.

          Credit Card — annual fees

          Dear Sir,

          Recently i have been issued a renewed credit card alongwith an add-on card. My primary card was offered under lifetime fees exemption offer. Now i want to know whether this offer is valid on the newly issued cards as well ( i.e., both primary & add-on cards are exempted from paying the annual fees). If not , then please cancel my both card a/cs as i don't wish to avail your services.

            Hey there,

            I am Ankit Verma, I got an account in standard chartered bank, I normally use that A/c for my personal purpose. I had only Rs.5200/- left in my account which has been withdrawn by a cheque without my signature on it. I visited the preet vihar branch requested many times for the retrieval of a scanned copy of it, after reaching the Branch manager I got a copy of the cheque which hasn't got my signature(Also according to the BANK's record) and has been cleared from bank a/c on 14/03/2009. After that there was a lady in the Bank said it will go to the dispute dept as that has been withdrawn from my bank a/c, I don't understand how they have cleared a cheque from my bank a/c without my signature on it and on the top of that now Whenever I go the Bank they just say that my complaint still in process and will take some more time. Please show me some way to get my money back I am a student and not working anywhere.

              Sub: Telephonic Harrasment Complain.

              Dear Sir,

              Please note that I have been receiving calls from your Delhi office(I.T.O Branch) Tel.no.[protected] & from Mr.Sujit Bashisht Mob :[protected] regarding a loan related to some Mr.Soumen Mondol in my residence landline no.[protected]. This number is no way related to Mr.Soumen Mondol. I have repeatedly told your official that my number has been misused by somebody. But, instead of rectifying your records your officials are calling on the same number again and again and asking about Mr.Soumen Mondol. They are harassing me and my family regularly over phone. We have never taken any loan from your bank neither we are anyway related to the matter. But, still we are facing unnecessary harassment call from your delhi office causing mental disturbance to me and my family. They (different officials including Mr.Sujit Bashisht) are using abusive language to my family and threatening us for the matter which is no way related to us.

              So, I would request you to kindly look into the matter and instruct the official concerned not to dial my telephone no.[protected] for any matter related to Mr.Soumen Mondol and stop the harassment immediately.

              Hope you will realize our mental trauma & act accordingly.

              This happens in retail loan cases where the DMAs, Channel partners, agents, etc. do fradulent sourcing with incorrect/wrong details and people like Mr Basu have to face the brunts of collection guys like Mr.Sujit who will not go the actual facts and start misconduct with provoking statements, abusive statements, etc.

              I have also recd call from the same guy on 25/06/09 from[protected]/22 and used abusive languages and threatning statements for myself, my family and also for the company i work in.

              Collections is not done in this improper, inhumane, unethical fashion/method/strategy.
              Small rectification in my earlier comment. I had recd call from Mr. Ramesh and not Mr. Sujit but from the same division and ph no.

                I have Standared chartered Titanium credit card which I got October 2008. I did only one transaction in Nov 2008 while purchasing petrol in Bangalore. In current credit card statement, I found 2 transactions which was paid in US dollers. I never used this card for past six months and did not do any online payment. The amound is around 16000 rupees. I am very un happy about this. Some body either from bank or some where got my credit card information and did purchase from GODADDY.COM, FLYINGINLOVE.COM ON 22 Apr 2009. Could you please let me know what should I do? I called custer care and blocked my card.

                2. On 19/04/2009, FLYINGINLOVE.COM LONDON GB 200.00 USD Amount Rs.10, 470.18 D
                3. On 22/04/2009, GODADDY.COM[protected] AZ 14.28 US$ Amount Rs. 689.91 C

                Above transaction are not at all done by me.

                  Dear Consumer forum,

                  Pls note the below correspondence between Myself and Standard Chartered Bank.

                  I will give u a short snapshot
                  1) i had applied for a housing loan with Statebank of India which has got rejected because CIBIL has reported my name in the defaluters list.
                  2) i checked with Cibil who mentioned that Standard Chartered Bank has reported the same.
                  3)Checked with SC Bank they have give me a card number whic i used to use between 1997 and 2000

                  at that time i remember SC Bank had charged me Annual fees for the card which i was not getting charged by other Banks hence i requested SC bank to waive off the same. they didn;t and i stopped using the credit card this was informed to SC bank to their phone banking. i paid of all the dues( ie the money i had spent on that card)and stopped using the card. i have not got any statements since 2001 which meant they have taken cognisance of my call and have cancelled the card.

                  there has been no reminder no call from Standard Chartered Bank, no statement sent to me after year 2001( precisely March 2001) my salary account has been with Standard chartered bank from 2001 april to November 2005 and now from Nov 2008 till date. I work as Senior Manager Sales in NYK Line which is leading Japanese mulitnational in Shipping business.( they bank with Sc bank as well) in 2004 i have been sanctioned a housing loan of 22.5 lacs by Sc Bank on 14th june 2004 wide letter no.mum/14091 channel code M183.

                  It really surprises me that In Spite of i Being a customer of SC Bank for so long they have treated me very badly. They have sabotaged my image in front of my bankers and this really causing a lot of agony to me. In light of the above situation i feel if i donot get my name removed by Name from the CIBIL list i will losse the opporatunity of getting a housing loan. this is absolute injustice on a person like me who is financially stable and has a record of clearing every dues. If i donot get my loan cleared before this month end i'am loosing a very good offer from State Bank of India and moreoever my name is tarnished for no fault of mine. It is SC Bank who had given me the card, when i informed them to cancel they have not done the same kept on adding charges monthly on the same interest on the same and has created a a outstanding of Rs5562/- which i donot owe because i have not spent the same.

                  Someone told me that consumer forum could help/ guide me to come out of this situation as a i individual i'am too small to fight with a mutlinatinal bank like Sc Bank but i if i get a chance to rpesent my case in front of any one in Sc bank ican proove that ihave not spent any money on this card and it just the charges and interest and late paymnet charges that have accrued for 3 years. Pls let me knwo how to go about in this issue. Your guidance will help me remove the name from CIBIL list which will jeopardise my all future aspirations in Life.. This would be a real in justice on a common man like me...

                  Let me tell you i donot owe a single penny to standard chartered bank as i have not used your credit card after settling of all the dues. i have not received any statement from you after my stoppage o[censored]sing your credit card since the year 2000.
                  There has been no attempt from standard chartered bank to contact me inspite of all my contact adress and telephone numbers were available with the bank.

                  Pls reply to my above mentioned queries as early as possible...

                    These headlines would normally remind you the terrorist who came to Mumbai on 26/11 and killed many innocent people. Apart from damage to life and property they were able to terrorise the entire world as they watched the events unfolding live of television.

                    However this time I am not referring to those terrorists or terrorist organisations like Al Quida, LeT, Taliban etc. The common man in India is currently being terrorised by a breed of local ‘Terror Agents’ popularly called as ‘Recovery Agents’ who are funded by giant corporations like Standard Chartered Bank among other banks

                    Debt recovery agents’ (DRAs), as the banks call, others call them goons, I call them Terror Agents and Standard Chartered Bank is nothing less than a terrorist organisation which is committing serious crime.

                    My father a 60 year old senior citizen suddenly got a letter in 2007 from Standard Charted Bank stating that hey has some money due on this credit card from 1997. Funnily enough this was a card which he had paid off discontinued 10 years back and for the past 10 years not received any report or statement about. Assuming it was a mistake he had his lawyer reply to them that there are no dues pending and if they are asked the bank to provide any evidence. Since then he did not here anything from the bank. Untill a few weeks back when he suddenly started getting calls from some ‘GOONS’ asking for some 20, 000 due on a credit card in 1997. He tried to explain the situation to them but all they were trying to do was give absuses on the phone. They also threatned him. This kept happning for over a week and then he brought this to my notice.

                    Having spoken to a lawyer friend we sent letters to Standard Chartered Bank, RBI and even launched a formal police complain. However even post that nothing has stopped and these terror agents continue to call and haunt him... being a heart paitent and a diabetic my family was very concerned and my brother even offered to may the ‘RANSOM’ payment if that would mean the end of these terror calls. However having spoken to a lawer we were adviced that this is exactly what the terror agents want and we should certainly not do this.

                    Unfortunately even after formal complains the Police is yet to take any action and the RBI is also sleeping... the Terror Agents told us openly that they are in GOOD TERMS with the police and we will continue to get the calls!

                    So the situation is simple they are calling a 60 year old senior citizen for an 10 year old outstanding which dosent exist or they have any record off and more importantly the Terror Agent is resorting to extortion as that’s the only way he will get his salary paid. Such Harassment by DRAs has reportedly led to a death and a suicide in Hyderabad. One reads a number of cases about how these Agents abuse people on the phone and also heard of they resorting to violence.

                    Also I found out a very interesting point from a friend who is working at a senior level at a BPO. What he told me was interesting, it seems due to the economic downturn and with what happened in the US most banks have almost shut their personal loans division and also giving credit in any form is now very restricted and now thousands of BPO employees who were selling credit cards and personal loans have been moved to a new task of RECOVERY. BPO firms are offered percentage cuts of the amount they are able to recover and with no other real source of income most of these BPO’s have boostered their recovery process. Next time dont be surprised to see your local GOONS in a job interview at a top BPO near you.

                    So I have decided to declare an all out Citizen War against their terror agents and the new breed of terrorist organisation like Standard Chartered Bank...and hope that I can count on my friends in the real and virtual world to help taken on these cowards and am also giving a final warning to the banks that if they don’t stop such activities... they will be in for a big trouble as the citizens of this country cannot take such ...

                    Also please don’t get me wrong The banks do have the right to recover their rightful dues, but there is a right way to so. Laws have to be followed, which is are not necessarily followed by their terror agents. I also extend my full sympathy and support to all victims of these terrorist and would be happy to help in any ways I can

                    Anyway for the benefit of all here are some interesting points to be followed.

                    Some Tips on How to Deal with Bank Terrorists

                    1. When he establishes contact, take down the full name of the terror agent, his contact details and the particulars of the amount he is calling about. Find out if heis from the bank or a third party agency Make notes of the conversations, including details like date, time and place. If possible record the call.

                    2. Make him aware that you know he’s just doing his job, but do not tolerate threats. If he does get abusive, inform him calmly that you will report the matter to the police/bank/RBI If things get out of hand, ask the agent to stop calling - you are under no obligation to take his calls. Further, write to the bank in question and inform that you do not wish to be contacted by the recovery agent.

                    3. File an FIR, detailing threats and instances, against the chairman of the company that employed the agent. Make the agent a party to the FIR, along with all his contact details.

                    Complain to the bank and to the RBI. The RBI can impose any penalty on a bank for violation of its guidelines.

                    I completely agree to the comment made above. These Terror Agents of the Standard Chartered Bank have hired goons to collect non-existant dues from people who have no idea how and why the charges so told by the Bank are calculated. Further, these GOONS do not care for the laws of India or anyone for that matter and further boast that this process of recovery of dues without following the laws and procedures is in active connivance with the Bank officials at the highest level...

                    I am a victim of this process as well and would sek help from your organisation to fight this cause.

                    Now, they have hired female goons who do not identify themselves. They call from Bangalore. They harras for payment for undelivered and unsolicited cards in Standard Chartered Bank.

                      I have received the statement of January month, My payment is due on 17 feb, Bill amount Is Rs141268.00& I have paid the payment on Rs141268.00 chq number 044677 Dtd 13/02/09 full & final
                      After this payment I have not done PURCHASE .

                      I got the Bill of feb month of Rs25086.00 & I have requested on dated 10/03/09 at 10am to Madam Vinaya of customer service to close this bill

                      Again I got the Bill of March 09 amount Rs52923.00 and again I request to close this Bill also, dated 2 April 09 at 11.20 am to madam Deepika of your customer Service center .

                      Till you cancel all bills, As I have already paid purchase amount, I will not purchase On this card so Please cancel both the Bills & reply or else I will be forced to cut the card .

                      Now, there Is no balance pending against me please note & do not send any more bills

                      Today again I have received the bill, now again I state that, I have not purchased anything using your card and I have not taken the any loan from you so Please cancell this bill Of dated 26/04/2009 and again I request you please do not send any bill .

                      Pls give us proof that we have purchased or reverse the amount immediately stop cheating customers as I am harressed & I will go to consumer court

                        Subject: Conveying my Grievance ….
                        Dear Sir,
                        I am Yogesh Borhade and I hold “Manhattan Card” [protected] and mileage a/c #[protected] of your bank since 2005. With big disappointment I am writing you about my harassment from your bank policies and utter dis-concern for your customer.
                        I had availed loans from Manhattan Card a/c under ‘DIAL A LOAN’ and ‘MANHATTAN MULTIPLIE’ basis, of card credit limit since July 2007. It was agreed for @Rs 10000/- (consolidated for both loan amounts) installments for 24 months starting from July 07 to July 09. For first 2-3 months it was running fine and my Manhattan card shown no. of installments paid and no. of balance installments. Attached is the photo copy of Spe 07 statement.
                        In Sep 07 I got customer care call from Manhattan card for up gradation of my existing card to ‘Titanium card’, with some holiday package and for fees of Rs 3500/-.
                        After some enquiries I came to know that the same card was available without any fees. Subsequently I never received the ‘Titanium card’, but I received the statement of the same.
                        After contacting the customer care I cancelled the Titanium card request and asked to retain my old Manhattan card.
                        Now after all this I received my Manhattan card statements showing full loan recovery amount in one single installment. In which so many late fees and interest charges got added. Attached is the photo copy of Nov 07 statement. After this I contacted customer care, and I had been assured that my card statement will get corrected to old installment fashion, and I should continue paying Rs 10000/- as agreed before and on same date schedule. So that I will not get charged for any late fees and interest after correction in statements. After this I had to go out of India. Even after assurance of customer care, my statement keep showing late fees and interest as it was not full payments. So I was in touch with bank through mails. One Mr. Sathya was in my contact and I had explained my all case to him. Then I came to know through him that, because of switching over of Manhattan card to Titanium card, my old accounts got closed, even my loan a/c s got closed as per closer, and started to reflect as new borrowed amount. And to make all those loans as previous I had to start Manhattan card again, and then put new request to convert these amounts to loan and etc.


                        Now in this entire story I never understood following things.
                        1) I had never been informed that upgrading from one type card to other means closing of old one.
                        2) Even closing of old card means closing of all loans a/c and converting the payment of the balance loan in one single installment, which is ridiculous…..
                        3) How you can charge Rs 3500/- extra for up gradation of old card when it was available free for any new customer. I received a statement demanding this amount, which was actually false.
                        4) I had never been told about closing of loan accounts, it was without my consent. In non of my communication did I ever convey that I wanted to close my loan account. And you must have charged pre closer fees for same without my knowledge.
                        If this could have been informed me earlier I could never agreed to switchover the new upgraded card.
                        All this is merely a cheating and big harassment to me or any customer.
                        Even after contact through mails I never got any satisfactory answers, they always told me that I have been issued new Manhattan card and new a/c, which never reached me. Attached is the photo copy of Spe 08 statement. I would like to request you to put me in my old a/c form, and remove all unethical late fees and interest charges which you have charged from day one. I will keep paying the Rs 10000/- per month as per the pre defined schedule, irrespective to creat new Manhatten card or no. Rest of the amounts and charges you take care.
                        This is a pure case of harassment and I will have to take further strict legal action if this is not resolved at the earliest.
                        I hope and am optimistic that you will do your best and relive me of further harassment in the good will of your banks loyal customer.

                          I was holding auto loan account no 42586984 with standard bank till March 2006.This account was transffered to ICICI after that.
                          I have been requesting for a statement of my loan account till March 2006 (till the time it was with Standard Chartered) for last one month almost, but I have not recieved the same.Request numbers mentioned below for reference.

                          I have been following up the status of my request everyday.Here I would like to state that my mailing address had changed and a request for the same was given to the bank but I was told that since the account has been closed the same cannot be processed.I had requested the executive to send the statement on my new address which I was told would be done Inspite of this the statement was send to the old address and was returned to the bank. This again shows the careless and unprofessional attitude of the bank.
                          It is very unfortunate that the customer service is providing me with false and inaccurate information everytime.I have been told by the bank that the request is only processed from Chennai.I am fed up of requesting with the bank for the statement now.
                          This behaviour of the bank is extremely unprofessional and regrettfull.I would like to state that I am staying in delhi and it is not possible for me to come to Chennai to collect this statement incase the bank is expecting me to do so.
                          I regret having had a relationship with this bank run by inept an unprofessional people.

                            My Name is Rajeev Lochan Agrawal. Manhattan Platinum Credit Card was issued to me by Standard Chartered Bank in March 09. I was told by representative of the bank Ms. Anjali from telephone No. 25558817 from Janakpuri Office (Delhi) that I will get the 5% (2.5% Surcharge waiver + 2.5% Cash Back) discount on my Petrol Bill from any of the petrol pumps on India. However, when I received my monthly statement I was surprised to see that no cash back was given on my bill. After that I have called to customer care. The lady there told me that no cash back will be possible for platinum card. It is possible only for Titanium Card. I have asked them to give me cash back only for the transactions done from the issuance of card to till date. However the excutive of the bank refused to do so. They have standard lines " I am sorry to say that..." with no justifications.

                            Bank is not fulfilling its promises and it is a clear case of cheating and fraud. I need the help regarding this.

                              I was holding a credit card from Standard Chartered Bank in 2005. The card statement was not sent regularly by the company (for which i had complained number of times to their customer care department), due to which the i was charged some late fees by the company. From my side, i have paid all the amount relating to the transactions i had made, however, the late fee was not lawful and therefore, i had not paid that part.

                              Now the company has come back to me, with the total outstanding amount being Rs 10, 927.87 and the net settlement amount which they are asking to pay is Rs 5, 520.00.

                              Also, when asked to provide the details of the charges in written, they are not ready to provide the same. Moreover, they are not ready to send my any correspondence in written, with regards to the outstanding amout.

                              The charges which the company is asking me to pay are totally unlawful and has only arised because of the fault of the company.

                              The main issue which i am facing right now is that my name has been listed as a defaulter in the credit information listing due to which i am not able to get any new credit card or loan.

                              I would, therefore, request you to please help me in this matter.
                              Though if you are ready to do the settlement amount, they will say that they remove your name from CIBIL, but they won't. Be cautious while paying the settlment amount. I got the settlement letter from the bank, after 2 years still they didn't remove my name from CIBIL, they are askign again to clear the remaining amount

                                I was having standard chartered’s credit card no. SAB C.C. NO. [protected] which I got cancelled on 31/03/03 and outstanding/ settlement amount of rs. 23180.00 was paid in cash on 31/3/2003 and no due certificate was issued on 31/3/2003 itself. Now I applied for personal loan and it’s been rejected on the plea that due to non payment against above credit card., I my name has been updated in CIBIL.

                                I would request you to take up the matter with standard chartered and help me in getting my name removed from CIBIL

                                  This is to inform you that I had used standard chartered credit card for some 3 months and stopped using it in the month of Oct, 2008. In my last statement some 500 Rs. late charges were levied by bank which was not justified as I had made the payment in time. After talking to their credit card department I had made the balance payment by deducting these late charges and after that stopped using the card.

                                  After that bank never called me or sent any statement but today (9/04/2009) I have received the call from standard chartered bank saying that Rs. 3000 is pending in my name against the credit card statement, When I asked the statement or the proof that they had sent me the statement, the person refused by saying that he is not handling the courier company and threatened me that they will update my name in CIBIL and in future no bank will give me any kind of loan. This is an evident case of harassment by bank.

                                  Request you to kindly take a suitable action at the earliest.

                                    This is with regard to compalint dated 21st February against Standard chartered bank for personal loan. I am furnishing the needed documents and details

                                    Loan Acccount number: 47613076
                                    Bank: Standard Chartered
                                    Complaint: Tampering the Loan document and not meeting terms of agreement
                                    Dispute areas : Interest agreed was 14% with last month waiver off. As per document 60 months was the term. Now the term is changed to 48 months without my signature

                                    Details: They have taken counter signature from me sighting Internal credit process. After which they have changed the terms and conditions without my approval. The terms were not what they promised. The complaint was made within 2 days after I received money. It was unsolved till now. They did not even respond for while I had to compalin again and again and finally in October they agreed to last month ENI waiver off and months of payment They agreeing to last month waiver off is indication of cheating. Also againt the change in term period they forgot to take my signature . have complained to RBI ombdusman for legal action-www.bankingombudsman.rbi.org.in

                                      Hi friends, my name is lawrence i would like to inform all consumers not to use the standard charted bank -cc, since bank provided lot of false commitments and hiden charges, they dont have proper service division to solve the consumer queris, i have been really screewed by those people and finally cancelled my card account, they tried to retain me but i said NO...

                                      I was an scb customer for more than 5years and had lot of bad experience with scb, so i kindily request every one not to use scb cc in your life, i[censored] hold a scb cc plz cancell it immediately...i dont want others to get in trouble like me...
