SBI — excess billing

i had received an e statement which shows i had been charged annul fees of my primary as well as adoned card.
But when the card was issued to me i was told that it is life time free card. So kindly reverse the charges at the earliest

SBI Credit Card — Another way of cheating the customers

I got a call around 21st -25 sept from the call center of SBI Credit cards telling that i have been selected for their privilege customer offer and within 25 days of the confirmation of the talk they wiil send you privilege offer pack containing 2 wrist watch and offer for staying in any hotel in India as well as abroad.

It is matter of regret that in spite of receiving any official offer pack from the bank, i am receiving calls from the call centre/ recovery agent for payment of RS.6900.00 odd which SBI Credit cards has debited to my card account on 25/09/08 itself. I denied the payment to various callers.

Please forward this mail to top gun of the bank and let me know ? is this the way of functioning most trusted bank of the country or centre to earn profits/ fefw bucks from the innocent citizens of the country. I would like to see what action is taken against the erring persons/ officials of the bank. May any national agency look in to such complaints and how much profits have been earned un-ethically from the citizens of the country. Is this their slogan means'' pure banking and nothing else "

SBI Card — Re; continuous harrasment from the call center about credi card which i don't own

SBI Credit Card — UNNESSESARY BILL SENDIND

I have a complain agains sbi credit card, last bill i received of rs. 7070.19, due date 30 may 2008 and pay full amount on 26-5-08 through hdfc cheque 7070.19, cheque no 954491 full amount it is cleared after 2 days, that means before due date .
but after that again sending invoice latest invoice 2317, now i am odd possition to pay and same i am mental harrege .
plz suggest what i do next, i don't want to keep this credit card

With lots of grievances against SBI credit card ,I beg to state you that I have issued the SBI CREDIT CARD in 2007 .Since then abnormal billing was done I paid the entire amount,I closed the transaction with the credit card in 2009 after paying full & final settlement.Now I am taking housing loan from LIC housing finance.But out o[censored]tter dismay it is showing from credit card bureau that I have a pending sum of Rs 7000 .

Dear Sirs,

It is to inform you that I had applied for an SBI Credit Cards way back in 2002-03 when some agents approached me for the purpose. SBI Card people claim that they despatched the SBI Credit Card to me but till date I did not receive any card neither I know if any body around my neighbours might have received any such card. SBI Cardstarted levying charges/fee for sending me an SBI Card which actually I never received. As such there is no question o[censored]sing such SBI Card at all.

Sir/s, I am literally shocked to learn that there is an outstanding amount of Rs. 700/- against me for SBI Card which I never received. This fact came to my knowledge when recently I applied for SBI Car Loan but I am told that there is an adverse credit report about non-payment of Rs. 700/- against SBI Card. I am being penalised for no fault of mine. This is highlyunreasonable and unjustified. I have talked to Toll Free No.[protected] and I am told that in 15 days' time I would get a report showing nil balance.

It needs to be pointed out that for no fault of mine my car loan case with SBI is stuck up. I am even prepaed to pay this amount of Rs. 700/- so that my car loan case is cleared but how and whom to pay? I don't know even the card number!!!

I, therefore, earnestly call upon you to rectify your record and send me an NOC at the earliest. I shall be thankful to you for the same.

SBI Credit Card — NON RECEIPT OF SETTLEMENT

I an writing this letter to settle an issue regarding my Credit card No[protected], which was completely paid by me except the annual renewal fee which was declared as free by SBI CREDIT CARD. Iam regretted to inform that their personnels are continuously calling me and disturbing me over phone for nonsettlement of dues which I have already paid through cheque.kindly look into the matter and make arrangement to settle the issue at your earliest.

sir, i make the following complainys for poper investiagtion and action
1. i hold a/c no [protected] with SBI Bijnor which was transferred from SBI fort william kolkata wih a/c noC/8278. while doing so i was entitle to six monthly interest which was not given here by saying kolkata bank must have done. i want to know when and how much. no visits or letters has affect.
2. i requested for cheque book at par on 21 jan and an application was personally kept by the managerwho said you will recieve it with in 21 days. been to bank a number of times after cheque was told to wait. now the manager says application was not sent as shown on the computer. who is responsible. i am to make a heafty payment to AWHO for my flat and wanted to save money on draft.
3. irrespective of having submitted live certificate my pension is held up by saying it is not there. now again having given and santion recieved person tells i shall credit amount held for four month with pension of 5th month. why and who will pay interest . does bank hold any obligation.
4 i had requested to put my account in double benefit, a scheme introduced by you. i wonder any action taken on appication submitted over two month ago. officers must understand that hey are being paid salarries beacuse of we consumers. hence service amd loyalities o service should be unquestionable. I was having a credit card of SBI and I used to pay the dues in time. On two occasions my cheque was sent for collection by the bank 15 days late and I refused to pay the late charges as the delay in realising the cheque was due to the negligence of the bank staff. I refused to pay the late charges and wrote to the bank may times to the bank write off the late charges as it has occured due the negligence of the bank staff. After two years or so, they agreed to write off the charges, but not the interest charges on the late charges. Frustrated I cancelled the card and now I am getting calls from the bank. If the calls are continuing, I will be constrained to seek legal remedy for harassment. I have paid all the bills, excepting the late charges which I am not bound to pay as the delay is due to the mistake of the bank.

just a question to SBI, why customer care or office staff seating in office? to help the peoples right? on any query. but these people cant even litsen what the problem is, forget about sorting the problem. we just request sbi instead of spending too much amount on big star to get their brand ambassador please spend on employees to teach them how to talk to customers, what is customer relationship? their brand automatically will come in demand. no need to make big tv ads to get highlight their product. these peoples dosnt have sense of talking, they even dont want to litsen what ur query. the fact is they are seating for us to help but they feel they make favor on us to litsen. that is really disgusting.... my request to sbi please litsen to customer.....

State Bank of India — Doesn't responds for requested service

My name is hitesh gupta .I have a joint saving account in State bank of india khargone M.P. branch. I requested online banking facility to the bank approx 1 and half year ago.
I filled up the form they gave me. but they didn't provide me transcation rights. i tried 4 to 5 times in previous one year but every time they say that write one application then within 24 hours transaction rights will be enable. but nothing happens.

I want to complaint against the attitude of the employees of State Bank of India, Johannesburg.
When you call the bank, no one actually takes the call, you just keep waiting and the reception just puts the phone down and says that everyone's line is busy. How many ever times you call them, this is the response.

There is a lady there called VILKIS, her attitude is just intolerable, they talk in such an insulting manner. This is not accepted.

Why cant they just respond to customer questions and help them.

I have always faced the same problem as stated by the person above.
The guys from SBI, Johannesburg are callous and irresponsible; they don't respond to the emails and to make matters worse, they don't respond to the phone calls either!
The girl at the reception will not bother to answer the call and eventually when she does, she'll simply route the call to the concerned department without bothering to hold on to the line and re-route the call to another available person if the concerned person is unavailable/dozing off/chit-chatting with his fellow colleagues. Sometimes it feels like everybody is sleeping in SBI, Johannesburg!

These guys are having the easiest of jobs and yet they fail to take or respond to calls/emails. What is the girl at the reception meant for- to read newspapers?? I am sorry but that's the only thing I have seen her doing and that's probably why she doesn't respond! You make 20 calls and if you are lucky you might get answered once.

On a second thought, I feel it's not entirely the receptionist's fault. There is an old saying- Birds of a feather flock together. Maybe she is so used to seeing the callousness and laidback attitude of the SBI staff that she herself is set out to make a point!

Request you to please address this issue. Believe me, there are plenty of people (you search for one and you'll find one hundred) who are fuming at the SBI staff's behavior as i write this complaint.

You see I am paying by the time I can’t understand why I am fail in settlement if there is problem in point F, so I got notice from SBI cards representatives now we have local Accounts for clearing of your cheque. so your cheque will clear within one or two days. I maintain sufficient fund and I prove that. but some cheque on[protected] will clear before your cheque. unfortunate.
I request SBI cards just look my account all cheque are clear within one or two days the last cheque will present after long time.
Sir, payment systems SBI Cards is always not fair, many times calls from sbi cards that our server is down so give us post dated cheque and some times yours local agency failed, some time there local representative will change. time by times, there are many confusion in your call center.after I registerd do not call i recd Daily 8.30Am many and many re confirmation calls from sbi cards calls centers. many time misbehaving calls from sbi cards calls centers, there is no communication between there agencies. I am the person who punished from them systems. I have all the letters and records to prove you lots of mistake in my SBI account.
I think the SBI Cards finds short cut of Income,they are not interseted in thinking costumers faver.
In my meter I request you to kindly look after my account and guide what i do. still i am not recd N.O.C. of zero balance statement as per they promise.
If I not find justice from SBI Cards I will go for legal.

SBI Cards is a cheater. Cheated me with ROYAL SUNDARAM insurance. Guys dont go for these two, you will definitely land in trouble. I have taken oath to prevent atleast 50 of my friends from falling into this trap.

I am very sorry to bring it to your kind notice that the person who came to my residence to collect the cheque towards part payment of Bank's due on account of Card usage, refused to accept a cheque for Rs. 5000/- He was insisting for a cheque of Rs. 2700/- or so and was not prepared to accept the amount of Rs.5000/-. He contacted a person over phone and made my father to talk to him. When my father asked him as to why he is not accepting the cheque for an amount bigger than being demanded, he very rudely spoke to my father telling him that he (my father) was wasting his time. He was not prepared to listen to my father and kept repeating for a cheque of lesser amount.
I do not understand the rationale behind not receiving the payment more than being demanded to reduce the Bank's outstanding dues. The Card holder must have liberty to pay any amount to reduce the total dues over and above the minimum being demanded. At the instant of his supervisor speaking, perhaps, from Chennai over phone, the collecting agent refused to accept the cheque for Rs.5,000/-. When he was asked to refuse in writing, he declined to refuse in writing as suggested by his supervisor. Is it not highhandedness on the part of official concerned?
When the same person spoke to me over phone at my office, he spoke with me also similarly in rude manner. He rather threatened me for a dire consequence which justifies reporting to the police for taking cognizance. One can not play with my or my father's prestige for petty dues of the Bank.
This non-payment and over dues situation arose due to my being out of station on official tour for about three months and also due to some domestic reasons. Now when I am trying to pay substantially more than demanded, refusal of repayment is against the laid down norms not at all justified. If this is the way of collecting Bank’s dues, I am afraid I shall not be able to repay the Bank’s dues. I feel this is a fit case to refer to the Consumer Forum.
I am a bonafide card holder and not a criminal or willful defaulter. Your concerned officials have no right to behave rudely and indecently with me or with my family members. Our genuine queries annoy them and make them to say “Don’t waste our time” I just like to know whether this is way the concerned official should speak and provide services to the customers / card holders.
In view of the above, I request you to look into the matter and the conduct of the officials concerned. I further like to know whether the Bank is prepared to accept the cheque for Rs. 5000/- or not. At present, I am unable to pay any amount less or more than Rs.5000/- I look forward to your reply and necessary action in the matter at the earliest.

I have also complaint with SBI credit card activities.
I Was using the SBI card in 2005. After noticing the charges levied are exorbitant and meaningless, I approached the SBI Crdit card to clarify. But I will not be receiving any dirct reply to my question. They will mearly say that your out standing balance is So much. (with out making any reduction). When I stopped repayment for a month, I received calls from SBI Crdit card(Mr. Adithan by name) , Chennai and when I argued that the charges mentioned was exorbitant, he advised me to pay reduced amount and get full settlement report but when I payed the amount stated by him, I didnt receive any completion ( No Balance report) report. Rather, I was charged with subsequent interst and keep on receiving statements. My attempts to meet the officer in person did not materialise as there was strict security in the office and I was chased away like a beggar. I have never experienced such a bad treatment from any body in my life, though I am a Govt. Gazzetted Officer.
I advise every body to surrender their SBI Cards (if they are already a card holder) and request new seekers to avod going in for SBI CRDIT CARDS.

am using SBI credit card. I dont want to use it for future because they are not had requested you no. of times thru Customer care to waive off the interest, but to no avail and the treatment of the customer care was also not humanitarian. About six month ago I had again contacted Customer Care when they assured me that the matter would be settled by Collection deptt. Who would contact me on my mobile. They contacted me & assured me that the matter has been settled but they did not turn up for collection of amount.

In the meantime, I had requested to customer care to Close my credit card but they did not do so and charged interest again and again. This has given me mental torture.

I request you once again to cooperate and close my credit card & settle my account with out charging any interest

Your being a reputed public concern, such sort of action erode public faith & thereby affecting your business.

I hope you will consider the matter in its right perspective & settle the matter once for all. sending bills properly. Moreover i wish to make final settlement of bills which are pending towards my account but they dont have proper communication of line. And now i am getting irritated.


Worst Service award should go indisputably to SBI Credit Card. It is an Organization with "The Slowest People on World". I used nearly all bank's credit cards. ICICI and HSBC are good to use, at least these people listen to u and try to solve the issues. But SBI, Really a [censored].

Never Go for it, even if they pay to use!!!

So it was all fault by your handling department as when the got pressure of collection at financial year end they started calling for the amount imposed on that free gift voucher as we were told and the height of limit was that intrest imposed on that without making us know That is very severe offence or the department handing to making customers not knowing amount imposed and fooling us by presenting false information the calling executive have been informed more than 20 times about the situation and to look up on this matter

we cant pay any further amount as we have already paid 3 folds of amount then our purchase amount of credit card.

They have also send us one court notice for the payment of amount which raises to 18500 after the accumulation of 1year late fee n highly interest of sbi.I have send numbers of mails to them but nobody is bothering for its reply.

I have received SBI CREDIT CARD STATEMENT on dtd.10.11.2009 & accordingly i have drop cheque on dtd.26.11.2009 of Rs.3400.00 having Cheque no. 027448 dtd.26.11.2009 [Bank: UCO BANK, SWAVALAMBI NAGAR BRANCH], but still cheque yet not credited to SBI CREDIT CARD A/C NO. [protected].

Pls note that i have checked with Area where i drop the Cheque. Hence, u r requested to please look into this matter & let us know why its not yet credited? As our last date of payment has already been gone on dtd.30.11.2009.

To avoid late fees, pls do the needful.

compliant:- to reduce the time checking for balance enquiry before with drawing money.

Suggestion:- Displaying the balance as soon as pincode is entered along with the options that you are giving which automatically reduces the time of swaping the card for another time.


Though you feel it has some disadvantages, it will reduces the time as number of atm card user have increased now.

My Account number of SBI is [protected], My card number is[protected], I got my branch at Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh. I lost/forgot my pin number. Bank people told me to take phone advice phone number Toll free [protected] But the call was not long as 1 or 2 minute. It has being disconnected.

Then I found another number[protected] its a Bangalore number. Then I called this number. Hardly to get the advice from the bank. In the phone these people said, I should provide the letter to Bank after that the pin number would be retrieved within 7 to 10 days.

Then I provided the letter to bank, more than 30 days (1 month) I waited no pin number was came. I am going to bank and coming for those days, no reply from the Bank. But, Local bank Sriramnagar Branch, Kakinada was too responsive in my matter. They are taking as much as their effort to helping me.

I got the information from the different sources, the complaint letter or the requisition will have 13 digit number. My complaint number is [protected]. I am unable to get the Bangalore or Toll free number.

Please help me in this issue. Yours earliest action in this matter is requested.

I have also facing the similar problem with SBI credi card reedumption gift.

SBI has given me docet no. also but its also wrong and no body wants to reply soon.

I completely agree with Mr.Rao.
The credit card comapnie have taken the consumers for granted.While the card is issued by the bank the backend operations for them in terms of collection of dues, closing the bank card account are outsourced.These outsourced companies resort to these tactics.
i strongly feel that these companies should be exposed and RBI should intervene & implement strict regulations.

SBI Credit Card — Harassment from the SBI Credit card department.

Internet banking stopped by SBI. Online sbi (www.onlinesbi.com) is not working for more then a month. It seems state bank has changed their online banking web site but not informed to their customers. Previous website is not even allowing to login. State bank have not given any advertisement/information about their changes in online banking services, this is too bad, I am not able to check my account online. Please inform me about thier new website if any one knows about it.

SBI Credit division is not for customer support, but money worms. i got SBI card, but never used and requested them to cancel, since in the first month i recived 800/- as service charges. After one year i got call from them sorry for all previous confusion, this time we'll not charge any extra charges. even then i told them not to send, again they sent the credit card. I never used the card. but i am getting calls from Customer care and torturing me over phone. I told them i never used the card. but for cancellation, they are charging 3000/-.

Need some suggestion to approach Consumer court against SBI credit card details.

I went upto the extent of calling them and asking for statment where in I was again given a false promise and all rude replies but again in vain.
Before One week I got a call asking for payment and when asked for statement the same reply was given wheren I was told we will get back to you within 7 days but uptil the date I have not received any statement
could you help me in this matter what should be the next course of action.
Here is a customer who is ready to make his payments but the credit card department is neither waving of the late payment fees & financial charges which occured because of them nor sending me the statemnt.

I used SBI card around 6 months its fine. after that I didn't receive any bills. simply they used to call and ask me for payment. they used to send one executive for collection I paid for 3 months like that without bills. they took some rest i think and suddenly they asked after few months you have due, when are you going to pay? I asked for my bills. they are not sending but they are calling.

Whom we have to approach for closing this issue, Even I asked customer care persons, they are not responding properly.

I am in the habit of keeping extra amount to my credit. I have not received the staement for october in november, Today when I saw a message in my cell phone on 1 st December, 2008 that payment is overdue & I rang up to find out that about Rs 1089 was due to be paid before 26 th nov. whereas in my october satement I was having to my credit some amount. This message could have been given as soon as statement is generated as is done by AIRTEL so that we could arrange payment immediately. Even the message saying that payment was overdue could give more details as about the amount and due date. to avoid our wasting our time and your time in contacting the customer care.
