[Resolved]  TATA Indicom Photon — Excess bill and mis selling

I have been continuously following up with Tata Indicom service team in vain.I have not received any welcome letter from your team nor any welcome call, so that I can at least know my billing date and free usage (10GB) calculated on pro rata basis. I have always checked my Internet usage online, but never its mentioned there, its mentioned there as 10240 MB free. My call or service was barred after I have crossed 11 GB, that means they have assumed that I got 10 GB free!!

Now I received the bill on 9th Sept (activated on 18th). Now when I have received the bill, the free usage is calculated as 6.5 GB approx, and rest 3.5 GB is charged to me. If you actually do your billing considering 6.5 GB pro rata basis, then credit limit of Rs.1000 trigger will work at 7.5 GB usage (1GB more). This never happened, now they charge me a bill of Rs.9000 odd, and wants me to pay for it, and I receive a collection call from Tata Indicom team.

I want them to waive off the amount, or deduct the free usage from the next month. I want an urgent revert on this.

TATA INDICOM PHOTON+ — Excess billing

I had taken a new Photon+ wireless internet connection on 27th of May, 2009. I had used it until 10th of may after which my connection was barred. When enquired they said that I had exceeded my limit o[censored]sage and my bill amount is Rs. 18, 203. My tariff says Rs. 1, 250 per month and 15GB of free usage. On 10th of May, I had received a message from Tata indicom stating that I had reached 75% of my bundled usage limit and if I exceed the limit, I need to pay Rs.2/MB or Rs.1/min. This means that I had not exceeded the limit. Even if I had crossed, my credit limit is Rs. 2500 and they should have barred by connection when I reached that amount. When I asked for clarification, they are not clear in their explanation and say they have escalated the issue but have no clear response. They say they would call back in 4 working hours and never turn up. When I ask about that they say that they had given a call and I didnt pick up the call. They also claim that they have sent messages about the net usage but I havent received it. A colleague of mine also has a similar issue. He had used net only for 4 days and his connection was also barred and his bill amount was Rs. 7000.
I am also having the same issue with TATA Indicom Photon connection. Could you please provide me the solution for this .

Tata indicom photon — hold-up

I would like to keep my service for temporary period of discontiune, i am going to foreign for 6 months so i can't access my account with you. Kindly change a scheme that i would like to pay only rent of the connection. Kindly do the needful. INconvenience caused in this regard is very much regretted.

Tata indicom photon — MIS INFORMATION

Dear Sir,
On Friday, 14th Aug, I bought a TATA INDICOM PHOTON BROADBAND. As I was travelling next day, I had specifically asked the dealer that if the connection can be activated on Friday 6 pm latest, then only I would purchase the device. He promised that it would else I could return the device.

Whole of Saturday I tried calling him, he avoided my calls or made false promise. Same story was repeated on Sunday.

Monday morning, I told him to take back hi device. He agreed and called me t o the shop.
There he said that my connection was active and he would not take it back.

My point is that I bought the device because it would be activated on the very same day.


Now from TATA reps I am told that it takes 48 hours to activate the connection and he had miscommunicated me.


He is not taking back the device and I was not able to access the net on Friday, saturday and sunday when I most needed it while travelling.

What are my options?

TATA Indicom Photon — Failure to deliver promised product and absconding dealer

We had paid Rs 4000 for Tata Indicom Photon High SPeed Internet from an Authorised dealer in Dindoshi, Rupam Enterprises, by the name of Suraj
This person took the money and documents and has been absconding for the last 3 weeks. He is also not reachable by call and the shop remains closed as well.

We called the call centre and they asked us to go to Santacruz Customer care and then register the complaint

I feel very sorry for such a service being rendered by the biggest Indian conglomerate.

I feel they need to be penalised by the consumers court

Tata indicom photon — np response

sir there is no response on ur tata indicom out let i'll get photon connection on 5 december 2009 and one month unlimited surffing free. my bill is 503 but there is no complition of month.
i dont know what can i do. please solve my problem as soon as possible.my photon no is [protected]

PHOTON — Wrong Selling and billing

I sent the following mail to the MP nodal officer on 21 Dec 2009 to change my device to photon plus which is not happened yet.
secondly, they told me that my first two bills will get 50% discount of the total bill as per special offer which also I did not get.

I would like to have your kind attention on the following issue.
On 3rd Dec, I went to Drive India Enterprises Solutions Limited, Orbit Mall, indore to purchase the Photon whiz device because I already had the demo from the same outlet and was very much satisfied from the same device. But on that day the device sold to me was SXC-1080 CDMA USB modem (for Rs. 1599 + Sim for Rs. 100 + Security for Rs. 200) which I got to know once I reached home. Next day I went there and met again to out let manager Ms.Pratibha Nair and she said that there is no difference and it would work in same way as photon works and we do not have that device even though I was not satisfied and came back to home. Since then I am getting lots of problem and unable to get a good connectivity as well. After complaining again to her and asking for photon device only and then she said that it has not been introduced in MP yet. Now my question is if it is not introduced yet, how they were ablke to do the demo to me and why the brochures are lying in their out let.
I am highly disappointed and found that they unkowingly sold me the wrong modem which I was not looking for by giving me excuses. After spending lot of money and extra Rs.300 as well unable to use the internet and my work is also suffering which I was not expecting from such a large company.
I would like you to kindly check it on your behalf and help me to get my right Photne Modem which actully I am looking for.

TATA Indicom Photon — network problem

I am user of tata indicom mobile photan prepaid plan, tata indicom photan plan is having internet and TV options.but there is no netwok signals in the area in and near by the city BHUJ.many times asked and informed to POOR tata cust.care but there is no responce and they are saying bring minimum 10 customers detail signed hard copy application and submit to our near office.

Tata Photon — Mis selling

I have taken this Tata photon connection from one of the retailer Aman. His Contact No. is [protected]. He sold me this instrument from one of his guy named Ajay who,s contact no. is [protected]. He had taken 1400 cash from me and had given me the instrument for which no receipt has yet been provided to me. Also, after that i have been calling up Aman a number of times but he has never responded to me.
He told me that i will get a 950 Rs rental for this postpaid connection and will get a speed of 3.1 MBps. Today when i was downloading some stuff, i was getting a speed of 2.5 kbps. I was shocked to see this speed.
For the same i then called up the call centre. Someone in the name of Bharat spoke to me and was very rude in his communication. He never provided me any solution to my problem. Rather he said to close the connection by giving a request. I asked him as to what needs to be done about the instrument. He said, "do whatever you like".
I am very dissatisfied with this kind of service being provided and the kind of misselling which has been done. Also, when i asked Bharat about my account details, he said i need to login and check my details and that he could not help me. He also said that i had crossed my limit of 5 GB wherein i had used this connection only the 3rd time. Neither have i yet done any major downloads.
I would request you to kindly get this issue addressed to as soon as possible

i had take a call from one of your representatives today itself. He told me that i had a compolaint and would like to know what the same was. I am shocked that people who are calling me to resolve the complaint dont even know what the problem is. Anyways, i did tell him the same and he then told me that he will ask the retailer who has sold me the instrument, to get in touch with me and give me the bill. Also, then i asked him what about the speed problem. He said i was over with my 5 GB usage on 25th May and that was the reason the speed was slow. Also, i told him in that case, i was to get a speed of 155kbps atleast. He then replied that it is because of the location that signal is not coming. so i said, i am getting all full bands of signal in the connection then how come i am not able to get good speed. He said then, because my billing cycle for this month was over thats why the speed was slow and it will get better next month.
I dont understand what crap you and your team is upto. Also, i told him that i was nver told about all these things when i had taken the connection. This guy replied that then, you should have asked these things and that he cannot do anythiung about the same.
I would like to know as what is this way of resolving the problem and who else if not tata indicom guys will respond to the problem.
I would like to tell you that if this is not resolved at the earliest, kindly get this connection cancelled and refund my money. Else, iw ill definitely file a police complaint now.
I am no fool that by providing these illogical so called solutions of yours, my problem or the priority of this complaint gets over. It still is the same.
