[Resolved]  Vodafone — Misinformation / Bad Customer Service

This is regarding my vodafone postpaid number [protected]. It is a CUG (closed user group) number.

Ten months ago ( Nov'12 ) my plan was changed by vodafone without my consent and a random charge of Rs.711 was charged to me according to new plan. When asked from customer care about this charge, they replied that it is advanced rental for the coming year. My direct answer was that i want to close this number. The customer care person says to me that i cant close this number until i pay my bill that included 711 as well.

Now why would i use postpaid instead of prepaid when i want to pay in advance. The executive also explains that for the next months there will be no additional charges and monthly charges on this plan and i will be charged for calling only. So i decided to continue with this as i had no option and i certainly did not want to pay 711 just to close that connection.

Then next month i am charged with monthly rental. I explain my problem to customer care and the person says if i have been charged advanced rental this should not be done and it will be fixed in next bill. But it did not get fixed, so i talk to the person handling our CUG corporate users. He says that this would be fixed. I get a refund of Rs. 297 after this in my next bill.

To my dis-relief i get charged with monthly rental again in my next bill. this keeps going on till 3 months and me fighting on customer care for resolution. Then i contact my group handler again and he replies me that refund will be made and he also tells me that my plan was never supposed to get changed without my consent.

No its nine months since then and i again get charged with 711 as advance rental and obviously i cant stop the number until i pay the full bill including this amount.

I have stopped paying my bill as i did not want to get into problems of asking them afterwards for my own money of refund. It should have been balanced with my existing bill.

Now i only wish to close this number but i do not want to pay additional money to this company trying to use their fraudulent tactics of misinforming its users.

I have been using airtel prepaid for past 6 years and never had such a headache, also had reliance postpaid for 3 yrs

I am from ABES Engineering College and a member of its CLOSED USER GROUP from VODAFONE. A couple of months ago our plans were revised for advanced rental of Rs.736 for an year and a new plan and after confirmation from Customer Care and you folks we found that we wont have to pay any more monthly rental but still there a monthly rental of Rs. 99 in our bills ( bills attached ). As i talked to Mr. Sushil, He says we are entilted for a refund. Kindly let us know about the matter.

i have been trying to talk to the customer care executive from past 6-8 months.i dont get the option of talking to customer care executive...the service to too too too bad.very soon i will change the service and take a new number of diff service providers.
its high time now vodafone is no more a good service provider...unnecessarily they activate the caller tones and deduct the money also for few alerts which was not activated.and the account goes into negative balance...
i want to deactivate all the alerts except icici bank alerts.also i dont want any of the vodafone offer sms's any longer..kindly stop sending the sms's, my number is [protected]

vodafone.postpaid — bad services

i am a doctor(gynaecologist). faithful postpaid customer with average monthly bill nearly 1000/-.my no is --[protected].since 9-10 months i am facing horrible network problems with vodafone- like unconnected,abort calls etc.to make single call i need to spend money of 3-4 calls with added irritation in emergency hours. considering it as handset problem ,i changed 3.it was futile exercise.i must hav registered thousand complaints with ur useless customer care services but in vain. every time they r just giving me tarikh pe tarikh and no solution.u know,just like sham political promises.i always feel like throwing away this torturing,nasty,irritating vodafone card but i cannot do that for d reason that i hav given this no to many of my patients.now i am using other network card.instead of spending tonnes of money on stupid adds would u mind considering ours problems ? and just dont listen try to solve them.

Vodafone — MISINFORMATION AND NON REFUND

DATE:25TH FEBRUARY 2010,COMPANY:VODAFONE, TIME:11-12AM
ISSUE:WRONG INFORMATION AND NON REFUND OF MONEY

DETAILS :ON INQUIRING ABOUT PREPAID STD PLANS I WAS INFORMED BY CUSTOMER CARE EXECUTIVE THAT A SURPLUS TARRIF OF RUPEES 89/- WILL GIVE ME 160 TALKTIME. ON RECHARGING(TOP-UP) OF THE SAME AMOUNT, I WAS PROVIDED WITH SOME SMS SERVICE. ON REINQUIRING I WAS TOLD THAT THE TARRIF WAS 98/- RUPEES AND NOT 89.ON TAKING UP THE ISSUES WITH THE SUBSEQUENT MANAGERS MR.MANDEEP, I WAS CONFIRMED THAT THE FAULT WAS ON THEIR SIDE ONLY. I HAD REQUESTED TO EITHER REFUND MY MONEY, ADD THAT AMOUNT TO MY BALANCE OR UPGRADE THE SMS SERVICE TO THE STD SERVICE WHICH I ACTUALLY REQUIRE.
BUT THEY WERE NEGATIVE ON PROVIDING ME ANY OF THE SOLUTIONS AND ASKED ME TO USE THE UNWANTED SMS SERVICE.

Vodafone — Bad Customer Services

I have submit all the requisite document for the new post paid connection. The line was activatd for 4 days, then all of a sudden it got disconnected. When I checked with the vodafone executive, it's been told that, I have to re-submit all the documents once again to activate the services.

It's just a careless job attitude and lack of responsible towards customer services. Apart from this issues, there are many more...

i brout my postpaid sim on[protected] evry day they are say they wiil activat sim 2 hrs but today is[protected] uptill my sim is not activated .i would suggest to vodfone kindly stope there servisce if they are in position to handle . to other customer i ll suggest kindly do not buy vodafone sim as i did mistake plz do not repeat

Vodafone — Charging Amount for services without customer consent

Dear Sir/Madam

Vodafone has activated their own (vodafone) caller tune and then sent message that "as per your request, caller tune has been activated" and then sent one more message " This has been activated for free of cost for 2 months". Since I was not interested in caller tunes, I have ignored their caller tunes/message. After two months, they have charged Monthly Charges Rs 30 and Download Charge: Rs 15 and Service tax for caller tunes though I did not ask them to activate caller tune. Upon calling customer care, they considered Consumer Consent BY DEFAULT and started charging amount for caller tunes and download charges. I have been a postpaid customer of Vodafone for the past 4 years and they have started cheating people like this. Please consider this complaint and act against these fradulant practices being adopted by mobile operators. My mobile no: [protected]
