I have a double door ice magic fridge model 350FF purchased in 2005. So far, three times the Control Panel had to be replaced. Now the compressor is gone defective as per the service engineer. But my main complaint is regarding the very very ineffective service set up. The defect was reported on[protected] to the customer service number [protected] and I was issued a complaint number 14713 the same day. Since then after repeated calls to many, the local service set up picked up the fridge and taken to their workshop. Since then, even though I am trying desperately, I am not able to get any positive response from them; only evasive answers. Now, my attempts to call the area / branch managers are not getting any results as the phones are not reachable at any time. I am really fed up with the whole set up.

Whirlpool Refrigerator — Not working from the date of purchase
I bought Whirlpool refrigrator from Vasanth & co, North usman Road on Feb 2007. With in a year the compressor burst happen and we extended the product warranty for a year after it happen to be on the saferside. But, nobody attend the service when we call in the warranty period. I have spent more than 5000 rupees just for servicing the refrigerator in span of 2 years from the date of purchase. Now my refrigerator is not working again fro the past 1 month. when we call the Service center they demand for 4 years extended warranty ( Rs4500 )otherwise they say they will not guarentee for their service. I am struggling having this refrigerator and using it as just a cupboard.Please be careful on the product you by from whirlpool and also with the shop from where you buy. The cooling in my whirl pool fridge was slightly less. I lodged a complaint in whirl pool call centre. One service engr came to attend, but to my surprise he removed all the gas from the fridge, so the frudge is now not working at all. The engr said he will change the freezer & fill the gas & wiil charge Rs3070. IAGREED FOR REPAIR BUT HE HAS NOT YET COME TO REPAIR MY GRIDGE WHICH WAS WORKING ALMOST NORMALLY.

Whirlpool Refrigerator — Faulty parts of the product
I had purchased Whirlpool refrigerator, in May'2007. Its less than 2 years, compressor is not working now.I had given my complaint to service center of the Whirlpool, they came and they are charging me of Rs1400/- and total expenditure comes to around 1600/-.Cost of the Whirlpool refrigerator was 13000/- within 2 years maintenance charge is 11%.
Worst performance by Whirlpool.But they must know that by cheating customers they lose.

Whirlpool / Fridge — Part of the product not available
I have purchaged a Whirlpool fridge (220L Icemagic ELITE 48-72) on 16 May, 2003. Now its shelves have developed large cracks (photos attached). These shelves have air circulation tube built in them. In this context, I’d like to draw your attention towards my complaint registered with your one of the dealers namely M/s Aditya Vision, Near Taramandal, Patna bearing Regn. No.[protected] dtd. 13.03.09. More than 06 months have already been elapsed but in vain.
In nutshell, after purchasing of the said refrigerator, small various black patches on the front side of both the doors cropped up. On complaining the same, one mechanic came with a new lower door and replaced the same mentioning in his report to replace the upper door in due course. But, it is regretful to mention that upper front door is still to be replaced and also now black patches are taking place in the new replaced door as well. Sir, it is sad to say that it is very astonishing that a well reputed company like yours assuring customers to take quick action on any complaint lodged regarding its products is intriguing this case so unconscientiously.
Sir, I want to know that whether the said feature will still to be continued or permanent remedy on your part, if any, may be taken.

Recently we purchased a 180L refrigerator from Miltry Canteen on the date of October 16th 2009 and we got delivery from your Rajarajeshwarinagar Outlet, Bangalore
when we got this product the person asked us to call the customer care number for installtion and Demo of the product. the number is 60008558 and MTNL number [protected] which always Busy or dead. almost it is Dead because i called n number of times it is keep on saying that all executives are busy they will pick your call shortly. but frankly saying no such executive are there on this number or if the people are there then definately they are sleeping, cause even aftet holding the line for 43 min the same sentence is repeating. even i send a SMS to that specified number 58558 and i received a replay for that SMS saying "Thanks 4 registering with whirlpool home care. we will call u back shortly on 21st Oct".
Belive me even today also i am expecting the call from customer care.
Now, i want know what is going on, please answer my questions,
1. Customer Care is existing or not
2. Being a number 1 company for refrigerator manufacturing why this much customer neglegence.

whirlpool/refrigerator — No one attending the complaint.......
Hi,I had logged a complain#GB[protected] on 25/10/09 for my Whirlpool refrigerator (bought on 28/05/2006 Model#8267, SR.No: INC[protected] that had later closed without resolving the issue and even without informing us.
Again I logged a new complain#183 on 01/11/09, now everyday I’m calling to customer care at 60008558 and everyday they say that the engineer will come next day but no one there to take care. Your customer care manager is also a wonderful guy he/she not bothers even to talk to the customers. I tried 100 times to reach to customer care manager “KAMLESH” at number#[protected] (his details given by Whirlpool customer care) but he/she didn’t pick the phone.
Strange people are seating in their customer care, today they said that Shankar (Engg) has been allocated for this area and he is on leave. Whenever he will be back will attend the complain and when he will be back no one knows.

There was some complains about this. Service center was contacted. There Engineer came he said there is some manufacturing defect in the fridge. I will send my report to company and it will be replaced. Till to day no body came to attend it.

this is adv .priyanka patili had purchased a 340 L double door refrigerator on 2/4/06. on 7/12/09 i made a complaint to ur service partner" INDICO ENGINEERS. DADAR(W), MUMBAI REGARDING SOME WATER LEAKAGE, accordingly they sent a engineer by the name ALOK-[protected]. he said there was a problem with the TIMER, so he got it changed by charging 850/- whn the actual price of the same is 650/- the bill no. is 4658. whn i called up INDICO PARTNERS complaing about the exorbitant charging,they r giving me some evasive answers, even the manager MR.PRATAP SAHU is not ready to come online.
such kind of service partrners r ruining the image of the company.

Dear Sir / MadamI would be grateful if you could support me in solving this issue.
I have purchased a whirlpool 1.5 ton Split AC on 1st Sep 2008 from Orient Electronics, Dharampura Bazar, Opp. Midtown Plaza, Patiala-147001, Tel. No.[protected]. This AC has never worked properly since day 1. There was leakage in it from day 1. I submitted this complaint against it, but nothing was done. We were not given coupons for free services as well. When we submitted complaint for these issues with company's call center at chandigarh at number[protected]. They started blaming dealer's installation and also asked us for payment for visiting us to see faults in AC. We are not being given any after sales services. Due to leakage from front panel of AC in room, my father's health suffered a lot. Mental harassment is also there. So, we are looking for proper action against dealer and company for such malpractices.
We would be thankful if you support us in taking strict action against Whirlpool Company and Dealer Orient Electronics.

From the day one of delivery, we are telling the dealer that water trips into the body of the refrigerator and it stinks badly.
They told me that there is some manufacturing defect and will get it well soon. Number of engineers have seen the refrigerator but no solution has been found. I request whirlpool senior executives to come upfront and provide me the justice.
I am writing this letter as my last attempt to look into the matter or take this refrigerator back free of cost- so that I can purchase a good refrigerator------but such a big company should definitely look into its technology to avoid customer harassment
