[Resolved]  Whirlpool Refrigerator — whirlpool forcefully sells faulty product

I bought brand new whirlpool refrigerator (MasterMind 260 Litre elite model) from Dass Electric Trading co.(P) Ltd, wanowrie branch pune on dated 9 March 2008 .
From the day one of delivery, I am getting ELECTRIC SHOCK from the body of lower door of this refrigerator and I complained to DASS as well as whirlpool customer care support with Complaint No: 4825.
After a day whirlpool engineer(Mansoorkar-:[protected]) visited to my place and he himself observed the electric shock and concluded with the fact that it is manufacturing defects you should replace your refrigerator.
After that i approached to DASS with this problem and had spoken to its Manager named Bhuvnesh([protected],[protected]/24) and he sent his senior engineer/manager named Riyaz[protected]/36/37) to investigate this problem but again he even could not find out any solution to this problem and so relentlessly replied with shrewdness that this is normal and low voltage electric shock that is not hazardous so bear with this but DASS AND WHIRLPOOL WILL NOT REPLACE THIS REFRIGERATOR.
Finally I again requested to DASS Manager, Bhuvnesh, as well Whirlpool service centre senior engineer name Anil Patil([protected]) to replace this defective piece of refrigerator but they abused me and even threatened me for consequences.

I am continuously calling to whirlpool call center and there some senior lady named Shifaa already aware about all this but she said she can't do anything.

Basically they all know very well this is defective piece and sold this out to customer anyhow, which they did and now they are trying to mesmerize me .

I request whirlpool senior executives to come upfront and provide me justice.

I already sent my grievance to whirlpool: [protected]@whirlpool.com l.
I would not be satisfied until and unless they don’t give me replacements and if this not done within a week I will copy and file my grievances to CONSUMER COURT as well as telecast this to CNBC Awaaz channel but i wont let them to escape up to my last RIGHTS.

I bought brand new whirlpool refrigerator (Whirlpool 340 DLX iceberg ST model) from Bansal Tele Shop Pvt Limited, Hargobind Marg Mohar Singh Nagar near CMC Chowk Ludhiana on dated 25 March 2006 .
From the day one of delivery, we are telling the dealer that water trips into the body of the refrigerator and it stinks badly.
They told me that there is some manufacturing defect and will get it well soon. Number of engineers have seen the refrigerator but no solution has been found. I request whirlpool senior executives to come upfront and provide me the justice.
Again last week another engineer from whirlpool Ludhiana branch came and did a little alteration and assured it will work normal but despite repeated attempts it’s a big failure on the part of the attending persons indicating un-professional attitude.
Sir the refrigerator doesn’t cool properly and stinks badly
I am writing this letter as despirate attempt to look into the matter or take this refrigerator back free of cost- so that I can purchase a good refrigerator------but such a big company should definitely look into its technology to avoid customer harassment

Regarding this we communicated to Vijay sales and Vijay sales logged a complaint to Whirlpool Company, a technician of whirlpool came and solved the problem. Two times refrigerator automatically shutdown and restarted after few hours.On 10th Jan2010 we noticed that all the food items kept inside the refrigerator worth Rs 3000 got spoiled. The refrigerator stopped cooling. We immediately logged a complaint to Vijay sales on dated 11jan2010.A technician of whirlpool visited and inspected the machine and concluded that there is defect in the compressor, due to which the refrigerator has stopped cooling. After 3-4 days another technician of whirlpool inspected gave us the feedback that there is no gas in the compressor, so gas has to be filled. When asked about the main cause, he was unable to give the exact reason. According to him it may be due to electricity. But this cannot happen because we have attached a stabilizer also of Whirlpool Company. He only wanted to refill the gas but was unable to give us the assurance that this problem would not happened again.It is very unfortunate that hardly only have few months passed and the refrigerator stopped working. After investing a huge amount we purchased the refrigerator of the brand whirlpool for its good quality. It is very depressing we are facing mental and economical problem.
We are not at all happy with the performance of this refrigerator because it has so many problems:
1. Sound Problem
2. Compressor Problem
3. Automatic Shutdown Problem.
Because of your poor customer service of whirlpool my refrigerator is not working from 10 Jan 2010 (around 20 days). From 20 days they people misdirected me and wasted my 20 days. Every time I called to Vijay sales shop and then only then I got call from customer care.Form customere care side they never called me to resolve this issue. In starting somebody called me from whirlpool and commit that he will do the replacement of refrigerator and after that they denied.
After that I communicated with Mr. Ganesh Rao (From Whirlpool) and he was not ready to replace the refrigerator and but he told he will replace the compressor of refrigerator. I was frustrated that’s why I was ready to replace the compressor with the condition that if any problem comes within 6 months they will replace the refrigerator. I communicated with Nilesh from Vijay sales and he told in starting Mr. ganesh rao was not ready to give 6 month guarantee in written but now he is ready to give the 6 months guarntee and they will replace the compressor in this coming Monday (1Feb2010) .After that I received the call from whirlpool that they will replace the Compressor today on coming Monday (1Feb201). Again today on 1st Feb 2010 Nilesh from Vijay sales also called me and told me before 2 PM they will replace the compressor.

I had purchased 180 Lt. Ref. On April 2004. Now I got a complain that its Thermo stack is not working I had log a complain on Customer Care.
After twice calling and than Engineer was visited and I don’t know how it has been done but he says your Freezer Box in not working Well and need to replace
So I said ok do fast and after his & Customer Care confirmation I gave him the Cheek of 2300 Rx. And he committed me that in the evening your refrigerator will be lifted to Service Center for Repair and after two days you will get it back but after two days and Many times of calling no buddy has come to take the refrigerator for Service
And I am very upstate about Whirlpool Service. Before some Time I Had already suffered with Whirlpool Microwave Services. Now I had clear mind that I will never purchase Whirlpool Products its Because of Only Customer Service not due to product.

i have taken the new wire refriregation from Big Bazar. i was promised that it will get delivered on 16th March at 3PM but the same got delivered at 10:30PM. we opened the box at 11PM and realisd that on leg is missing. next day 17th march i got the call from company about the demo where in i gave a complaint to them about it. he said that we will inform engineer and he will get it done. I also complaint on 17th March at BB and same thing was informed. 18th March i got the call for the appointment from the company again and i said u can come before 11:55AM at our place for demo and told them about the leg missing, they also said engineer will come and get the same repaired. i again visited BB and they took the return complaint and said that company will be same done today.

Today an engineer calls and took the appointment for the demo. when told about the leg missing, he said that u contact your dealer. this is fustrating. he says that before accepting the product, u should check every thing. what does it mean. where should i go...people are making me run here n there. engineer says i[censored] dont wanna use it then u better dont use it. when said i[censored] have solution for my complaint then come home for which he said he better does not come...

Whirlpool Refrigerator — no proper service

I had registered a complaint with Whirlpool customer care, here in Kanpur on the 24th (Complaint number: 8901), as my refrigrator stopped working. A total goofball showed up on the 26th who had no clue about what was needed to be done.wat he did god knws and said tht now its working but as soon as we started it didnt work.later next day he came and said that PCb is not working.And from that till today no action has taken regarding it.Its summer time and daily we call and still they dont come to see it. Even his tester was not working. He undid and then tightened some screws here and there and finally declared that the timer is faulty. He said he will bring a new one in 2 days and left.

It has been 15days now and I have not heard from either the service center or the customer care. Even after repeated calls to customer care, no action has been taken. Every morning I call, I am assured that the technician will visit my home that day. I had to take half day leaves to wait for him. Till this time, I have not received one call from Whirlpool assuring me as to when the problem will be solved. The call center just refuses to give the phone number of the service centre.

This is just pathetic customer service. I would have assumed some sort of professional behavior from such a company.
Please think twice before buying a whirlpool product in Kanpur. please i wann sell my product even its in the warranty period of 1 year still remaining.

Whirlpool Refrigerator — within one year freiger & compressor got fault

we bought refrigerator from behl agencies,rajpoor road.before diwali there was some problem in freezer which was complain to agency.agency get it rectfied for which they charged but after two week again frigde stop working.when we complain to agency they did not bother and said that compressor is to be replaced and cost will be bear by the consumer.refrigerator is still not in working.hope it will be cared by compony soon.

The money for the service (compressor & gas change three days ago) has been charged, but the refrigator is still not cooling. Called three times service centre & am repeated getting vague, unfiled commitments that the engineer will turn up today/tomorrow but has never came back.

Whirlpool — Failure of Refrigerator within 9 months of purchase

I have purchased Refrigerator model 410 elite professional of Whirlpool make from TMC at Vizag. After running about 8 months the fridge has given trouble of less cooling and no ice formation. A complaint was booked to Hyderabad office of the company and also complaint was given to TMC and Whirlpool service centre at Vizag. After repeated chasing also no service personal had attended even 5 days after the first complaint was booked. The after sales service is very poor and even the person s did not bother to come for installation after purchase. This made me feel sorry to opt for the brand of whirlpool.
I am contemplating to book a case on consumer court.

whirlpool/refrigerator — Complaint of whirlpool refrigerator

I wish to inform you that i have purchased a refrigerator from Whirlpool in July 2009 which has warranty of 1 year. My refrigerator is having problems with cooling which is not allowing us to use the refrigerator. i have registered the complaint with whirlpool on 23/6/10 against complaint no.Dl[protected] and following up with them almost everyday but there is nobody who actually attended the complaint rather giving the false promises that it will be attended in a day or they have reported to their seniors but actually nothing fruitful has come up. Nobody actually didn't call back or attended to the complaint.

In this regard i wish to register a complaint and request for compensation.

Look forward to have a fair treatment and justice in this case.

Whirlpool — Refrigerator

I had made a complaint on the whirpool customer care number about a month back for non functioning fridge
The problem was identified ,the engineer who turned up said you would to change the gas and since the panel ,sensor and timer were all dis-functional they would need to be changed too.
The total for all this would come up Rs 5000 and need to paid in advance.
Trusting the company i agreed.Since then i have only heard excuses.Sometimes the panel is out of stock or the engineer is on another call and promises that he will be there tomorrow,but that tomorrow never comes.
I have been chasing them and making calls to the customer care number.
All the call center people do is hear the complaint and promptly sms a complaint number and a satisfaction code. Which is hilarious.
Nobody bothers to call me back to make assessment as why a complaint is unresolved for over amonth.

The entire experience has thought me never to buy an Whirpool product again.
Also would someone giude me on how to approach the consumer court i would be grateful

Since last one month my refrigerator is not working properly suddenly switching off. I have been complaint 4 times as 1. c.no. 12088 dated 19 jun 10 ...2. again reminded on 21 Jun 09 ...3, C.No. 13368 dated 22 Jun 10. and 4. C.No. 03270 dated 06 Jul 10. Whenever I call on[protected] your customer care they are giving complaint nos. only there is no further action. My faith is gradually going off on you and your products.

Your customer care also charges too cost, you are saying that, that is toll free no. but it is purely 2 rupees per 20 sec. When we rang up first computer connection then language selection then your customer care will be online Why? this also a business? we all are believing your products, but what is use. this is the reply you are giving to your customers.

I keep on saying that since last one month my warranty period is going to expired on Jul 20. I hope that you are waiting for that period. Any way with your product I learning a lesson and you only forcing to lodge a complaint at CONSUMER COURT.. Let me see your reply with in a week.

1. pleae refer complaint no-DL[protected] dt 20 JUL 2010 and e mail complaint dt 21 JUL 20102 . 2 Vide above complaint the undersigned had informed your call center at Delhi that there is no cooling being provided by the Refrigetor in question. The call center was again reminded after alapse of more than 2 hours. The engineer/mechanic finally reported late that day. He checked the refrrigerator and finally announced that the Compressor had gone out of order. When asked catagorically if there was any fault, he clearly said that there was no other fault.
3. The MECHANIC before proceeding further presented a bill which included refilling of gas charges for RS 1015, BESIDES visiting charges.when reminded repeatedly that the Compressor was within the warranty period he spoke to JAI from the service center.realising that they were caught on gas charges came out with additional heads like carriage of compressor RS 250, replacement of dryer RS220, replacement of relay RS 790.THE same was not agreed by us since the compressor is under WARANTY PERIOD and the mechanic had already confirmed that there was no other fault.He finally left our house without rectifying the fault.
4. Thereafter DAMAN, SAURAV, SONIA, RITA, and USHA from DELHI CALL CENTER were contacted.mr DHARAM SINGH NEGI, supposedly the SUPERVISOR AT THE CALL CENTER also repeated same charges.It appears that people at the call center and service are in hands and gloves and have no concern for the TERMS and CONDITIONSas explained in WARRANTY CARD.We are therefore without a functional refrigerator for all these days.

Subject :- Complaint unattended of double door regrigerator- Case of Smt. Indu Arya, Dehradun.

Sir,

It is to inform you that I have made a complaint No.DN[protected] dated 07.08.2010 in respect of double door refrigerator "Professional" purchased from M/s Rajat Electronics, Dehradun during March 2010. Since the date of complaint, two service engineers had approached my house to detect the problem of my regrigerator. They informed that the sixth sensor is not functional and has to be replaced by a new one. Since then, no one has arrived till date even after a lapse of two weeks from the date of complaint, neither any information / feed back has been rendered to me in respect of the part required. Unattention of complaint has led to bad odour inside the regrigerator and rotting of vegetables kept inside. The situation is rather embarassing.

Further, it is surprising that a rising Company of the standard of Whirlpool has such a poor service. I am astonished that in such circumstances, how can a Company stand in competition with already established and rather more efficient service providing Companies viz. M/s L.G. Electronics and M/s Samsung, who has still their hold in the market, due to the above reasons.

Kindly look into the matter immediately and resolve the matter without any further correspondence.
