Dear sir,
I had an axis credit card (No-[protected]) with an outstanding amount back in 2008, which was eventually reported to cibil by them every year.
Because of this my credit score remained very low even after having several loans with prompt repayment track with other lenders in the country.
However, as a part of repairing my credit; suggested by the axis bank collection manager mr leo of ravipuram branch, kochi, kerala, i paid the entire outstanding amount without even getting into a settlement option
When i asked him about issuing a noc or a letter stating the same and to close the account and card, he said that it will be reflected in the following month's credit card statement and that would be enough for future references as a proof.
My credit score did improve after that from 574 to 765 by may, 2016, however in my cibil report, the card is still showing as active and lot of dpd reflecting in it (Even though with — 1.73 balance).
This was questioned when i recently applied for a personal loan. And i'm still receiving credit card statement every month on my e-mail despite closing it.
So i would request you to kindly close it forever and take the necessary action to get it deleted from my cibil report at the earliest.
