I have applied for the CIBIL report and score by online payment.
Before filling the application I verified with the customer care executive whether the rent agreement can be submitted
as the address proof.
Customer Care Ex number 1 says: Yes!
Then I send the report with ID, and address proof and the payment confirmation.
Later I get a mail saying the address is not in the database I need to take the approval letter from financial institutions
(like banks etc - CIBIL's only soul mates!)
I give a call to the customer care and ask, I live in Bangalore, my savings accounts, credit cards belong to the addresses in
Mumbai, Chennai, and Hyderabad. And I don't have any account or credit card in Bangalore address. So how can I get the address verification letter from the banks.
Customer care Ex Number 2: BLANK!!! (no response) says he cannot process the CIBIL report.
Me: Can my office address is okay for sending the CIBIL report.
Customer care Ex Number 2: he says it is okay .. let him check if the address is present in the system.
I provide him the office address. Then He do some kind of rocket science algorithms in the system.
And He says, Voilà!! Congratulations. your address is present.
I am happy. Ask my employer to provide me the address proof. They promptly give me the same.
And I send it back to the CIBIL. So far good.
Again I get a(the same old)mail saying your address is not present in the system. And I need to send the verification from
their beloved credit institutions.
I am: somewhat irritated. Says "patience" to myself.
Calls the customer care executive.
Iterate to her the same old story. (long and irritating and full of ridicule)Additionally argue the address is only to dispatch the report. It has nothing to do with
processing a report(because CIBIL's beloved banks can get "my" irrespective of my current address).
So later finally Customer care ex number 3 says okay, they can send the CIBIL report on the address (my office address)
Next day I get the same old (I guess auto generated) mail.
Now full of frustration I again call the Customer care(Now Customer care Ex number 4).
I explain and verify my details tell her same old story.
She says whatever information provided by Customer care 2,3 is incorrect.
I asks her if I can talk to he supervisor.
CCEx Number 4 says, No! Whatever information she is providing the same will given by her supervisor(classic answer).
Also tried to ask her does she have any log of my last conversation with previous executive. She says no!.
She is not authorized to do so. And to me written conversation is only authentic. Seems! those machine generated mails from [protected]@cibil.com. I wonder to whom/what I am writing to a person or a machine which has lots of text copying and pasting. And no clear (humanly possible) solution to the problem.
Totally disappointed and intrigued. After long conversation I thank her, she wishes me a good day. and I disconnect.
I would like to ask the same question, if cibil can give access of "my" Credit Information to the banks irrespective of my
current address.
WHY I am being denied to get the report just because of stupid address verification WHICH is just used for dispatching the
report to the right person.
Again skeptic about, whether I will get response to this mail or not. Hoping to get one from human at other end.

My application for Credit Card got rejected by Citibank, on inquiring I was informed that it was because of CIBIL. So I had to pay 450 for getting my Credit Report to know what has been causing problem. But still I have not got my Credit Report on the grounds that my address does not much my address in Credit Report. I have never taken any loan or any credit card in my name, still I have been harassed for no reason.
Please help.
