I have subscribed Dish
TV – H D Setup Box with DTH Connection Vide V C No: [protected] and the card
No: [protected]-2 from the distributor of “Chirayil agencies, TVM Road,
Kottiyam Ph:[protected]“ in my native city itself. I have paid directly Rs.
2000/- for HD Setup Box and 250/- for the connection charges by consolidating
of Rs. 2250/-( Rs. Two Thousand Two Hundred and fifty only), with relevant
bills.
The main purpose to subscribe the DTH was to watch many
local programmes associated with the State Festival of Onam. The Onam festival
does not cover the celebration alone, more over the social, political,
educational and other entertainment programs might be broadcasted in all local
TV channels. I have subscribed the DTH before[protected] aimed to cover all
these purposes.
But, on the evening of[protected] at 6 PM, two young boys
studying the I T I came to my house to give the connection and these I T I
Students were totally unaware and inexperienced people in the field of Dish TV
connectivity.
It is very easy to establish the Dish antenna in the open
terrace- parapet of my house but unfortunately these people have taken much
time and completed at 9.30 PM ( ie they taken 3 and half hours).
Meantime, a woman from the call center of Dish TV- Kollam,
telephoned me and asked me to pay the service and connection charges to these
boys by Rs. 500/-. I have paid Rs. 500/- to these young unknown boys. Finally
the total charges for the Dish TV connection forcibly paid by us by Rs. 2750/-
( Rs. Two Thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty only).
The Dish TV Channel Installation was not successfully
completed on that day due to delay of time in installation. From the next day
morning ie 07.09.2014 onwards, I have called the agency people and the call centre
people without any interval; they were responded to me after seven days. Meantime the Onam festival and Onam related TV programs were totally
gone off from Kerala.
On the evening of 12.09.2014, some
people called me over telephone from the call centre stating that they can
assist me over telephone for the installation. As per the guidance given to us
over telephone, the installation came to possible. After some days, we have
done the same procedure and got 100 channels but Doordharsan ( DD) channels are
not still available.
Kindly note that the Jumbo Family Scheme mentioned in the
brochure for the Dish TV HD connection was preferred by us while we rush to the
Agency and this scheme consists of the services of 185 TV channels and 22 Radio
Channels respectively. The payment to the JFS has also been collected from us
by the agency.
I have been regularly telephoned to the agency and
customer call centre to get the additional 85 TV channels and 22 radio channels
but they are not ready to come to my house to take up the work to get this
additional channel services. It shows the utter business negligence and
cheating the customer in the name of Dish TV.
After a month, on[protected], When I called them again,
they gave me a phone number of the service centre of some other District ( Even
though the Kollam city is a Corporation) and asked me to call them for the
further service and installation; and agency and call centre withdrawn their
responsibility by warning us not to call them again.
The next due for the recharging the Dish TV is[protected].
If the promised offer of 185 channels are given before this date, I have a plan that I will extend to subscribe some
of the additional TV channel Plan.
The regular inquiry of these problems with the Call
Centre and Agency, they feel that it has
become a hectic headache to them. It is now come to understand that taking new
subscription to the Dish TV is a Deadly Sin and the subscribers are the Sinners
in the view of the Agency and Call Centre People.
Hence I request you to
take immediate action to
1. get all offered channels in the
Setup Box purchased by me in the JFS Offer;
2. get become customer friendly
attitude and behavior among the Agency and in particular the Customer care
Centre People;
3. and to give me intimation about
“What to do” to the additional top up to the Tamil Bonanza along with JFS Offer
just before the recharging period of[protected].
As I do not like to undertake any legal action at present
under the Consumer Protection Law and Cheating under Indian Penal Code, I would
like to establish a good cordial understanding with you and expect to do the
above mentioned three areas of responsibility at the very earliest. Don’t loose
the business flourishment of DishTV in Kerala by these kinds of negligence
shown by your bottom level employees.
