Hi,
I recently shipped an item for cod through your company. However, the item was damaged during shipping. I have sufficient proof that the item was not damaged before packing it and the packing was sufficiently done to keep it secure from reasonable handling. The customer to whom i shipped to (And is added to cc) was force to take delivery of damaged product, which could only be verified after opening the package.
The customer now wants to get their money back and return the item back to the sender (Me). I would like to file an insurance claim as my product has ben damaged during shipping.
On calling the dtdc vijaynagar office in bangalore (Contact number[protected], they ask us to talk to your customer care, who redirected us to send an email to you. On top of that, they said that the consignment number on the receipt i was issued on payment of the shipping charges and shipping insurance was apparently expired and they issued me a new consignment number. This incident was not informed to me at the time of booking and i was wondering where my package went. On repeated insistence, they informed me of the new consignment number (On whose receipt i hadn't signed off).
Please help the customer get their money refunded (Rs 12000). And i want to claim insurance on my good that was shipped (Worth rs 12000) and refund me the shipping amount as well as you changed the consignment number.
For your reference, i have attached images of the product before shipping, the packaging done, and also pictures of the product after delivery.
I hope that the matter gets redressed immediately. It's been 3 days and dtdc has only said they'll look into the issue
