I had sent a courier from marathahalli branch, bengaluru on 12th feb, 2019 to dimapur (Pin code - 797112).
I kept record of the track regularly but i could see it wont go beyond guwahati and return back.
After waiting for so long for the customer support, i would get someone online and they won't reply to any queries but just dictate the status (I too can see what has been written).
They were unaware where my parcel is. Such a horrendous customer service. The customer support is very harsh and gets irked instantly if asked for any queries. I tried calling the origin branch too. Everytime they would reply that there's no internet service as of now (Suprisingly) and will call back but never reverted. Once the customer supoort replied, the courier has been sent to a non serviceable area so the delay in delivery.
But isn't it your responsibility to check it before sending the courier. The origin branch member checked before sending and told me it would take a week to get the item delivered.
Calling the customer support multiple times and mailing them twice, i was not getting trace of my parcel at all. I then had to tweet to get response from the dtdc support. Only then i came to know it has arrived back to the origin after 20 days.
When i went to the origin, the guy in the dtdc store denied of any parcel that had returned back. He was opposing that my courier has been delivered and was least interested in my concerns. When i confronted vehemently, he then went to search for the parcel and got it.
Such an irresponsible behaviour.
And then the main part, when i asked for the refund. He refused to give me.
I asked twice thrice for it but he refused adamantly.
Well, please explain me the logic.
Firstly, how comes you don't refund the customer's money if your service delivery was not successful.
Secondly, it's your responsibility to check if an area is serviceable or not before sending the parcel. Oh just for your information there are 2 3 branches in dimapur (797112). How on earth does it become non serviceable albiet shaving 2 3 branches?
How comes you don't refund the amount in these circumstances?
Why charging the customer albeit not being successful in delivering the courier?
Why charge customer for such a pathetic and horrendous service?
Moreover the parcel was urgent. But thanks to your service!
I will be glad enough if i receive my refund (₹ 450) along with the extra expenses incurred.
Else i will have to take a stern action and complain in the consumer forum.

DTDC Courier & Cargo customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
I am trying to call customer care but few numbers are invalid, and few are not attended by anybody.
