DTDC Couriers of Guindy branch is very unprofessional and one lady is there who will be answering for the calls if we ask for our courier. She is using an abused language and they have delayed in delivered the courier which when asked her by calling she is using the abused words and saying that we are like that only and threatening me like if any courier comes for you next time we dont deliver. This is very irresponsive behaviour and they are insulting the customers like this. Please take necessary action on that. I am providing the Phone nos on which i have called.

Also, if they cant find the specified address they are not even calling the customers to enquire about the address they simply misplacing the letters. This is absolutely not fair. I was waiting for that letter which i need to submit in 2 days time but they have delayed it and it contains most important letter. The courier was from Visakhapatnam to Chennai which was sent on 23rd of May. But, they delivered it on 27th May at 5'o clock in the evening after calling so many times. Their service really sucks.

Even though their web site shows that the consingment has reached chennai on 21st itself but to my surprise not yet delivered.

When i contacted customer care officials at chennai, they told me that the document gone out for delivery through Ambattore Branch you will get the document morning itself.

By now time is 16.40 the documents has not reached and again when i contacted customer care, they disconnect the line so cool.

I NEVER SEEN SUCH WORST COURIER SERIVICE IN MY LIFE AND I STRONGLY SUGGEST TO BAN THIS COURIER FOR THEIR WORST BEHAVIER.

I had sent two parcels to my Native (pin - 643223). DTDC said they have service to this area. After few days, they have failed to deliver the goods. They have asked my Uncle to collect the courier from their office which is 30+ Kms from their place. Also, one of the courier has not reached the place as yet.

The actual problem is they have their database of pincodes wrong. 643223 stand for Kotagiri instead of Masinagudi (Masinagudi is actually where the parcel needs to be delivered). However, they are hiding this information and refusing to accept the correction. Worse, the manager is accusing me of giving wrong pincode.

Neither will they say sorry or deliver the package, but will gladly accept money for this kind of service.

It is pathetic that such irresponsible are given manager position.

Never order from KOOVS since they use the DTDC Service and you're never going to get your goods ordered! They're the 2 worst Indian companies combined with the complete wrong attitude towards their own services.

I ordered an item from KOOVS and NEVER RECEIVED it. The same order is available on other on-line shopping stores that didn't charge shipping costs. Koovs does.

I have been calling/mailing around since last 2 days and still am not getting anywhere. Support only replies with 'Sorry for the inconvenience' but no details of what is happening. I finally give up and that’s exactly what they want!

I get shipments faster from USA than a shipment from within India!

I just lost my money and I advice everyone NOT TO ORDER FROM KOOVS nor to make a shipment with DTDC.

Search around on the Internet. I'm not the only one it seems!

Dear Sir

I have booked one packet containing Medicine & Tata photon data card form Gurgaon (Haryana) on 27.04.2011 to Gorakhpur (UP) by DTDC courier service (Reference No Z[protected]. This packet was reached Gorakhpur branch by 30.04.2011.
Today is 05.05.2011, but still packet yet not delivered.

Please suggest what can do?

with great respect and all due submission, i wish to say that I have done on line shopping from itasveer they send through DTDC service. But at gorakhpur when my parcel had arrived on 30 april 11 on same day they called meon my cell, unfortunately i missed it. After few minutes i called back and asked him about my parcel they told me that the boy has gone to deliver. But i can't received the parcel. on same day i checked the status on internet i came to find that they send back because of insufficient address. Next day is sunday and day after that i called them they told me that we can't do any thing. You can do what ever u want.I am attaching below all details.
Kindly take some strict action against such behave and carelessness.

I would sincerely liike to tell you that the DTDC site needs an improvement.
What is the point in seeing the consignment without a valid telephone numbers listed ? This caused me difficulty and I feel this will be the case for most destinations and places.

The charge for DTDC is among highest but the service seems to be poor!
I was about to get my documents, sign the papers and sent it back through DTDC then and there. But now I have to give this a second thought.

Very imp. govt. papers booked through domestic courier on 20thApr11(should be delivered next day) from Ambala to Gurgaon, DTDC system shows booking date 21stApr11, then DTDC system shows & their customer care executive informed it is out for delievery on 22ndApr11, till 25th (5 days after booking) afternoon no one came for delievery.

after my shouts on DTDC guy in Sec-22 Gurgaon said 'SORRY' & told that it will be delievered on today on 25th in late afternoon.

I tried to speak & highlight this issue to Ms.Jayshree Customer care - Sr. Manager of Gurgaon, she was not very helpful listening & has no regert about their fault, kept saying we know the issue.

REDICULOUS is a word, person should have booked their post through normal Indian Post, I guess they are more efficient then these courier companies.

1. I had booked a consignment no. Z30654465 on 19 mar 2011 since I wanted an important document to reach the desired destination(Pune) urgently. But I was very surprised to know that this item had been returned from Pune back to Delhi a few days back with some shabby reason. Even the delivery man did not bother to call the consignee or the sender, though I had already written down both contact numbers on the envelope. Today, I was even more shocked to find my letter lying with the shop (AWWA shop, Base Hospital, Delhi cantt-110010) and those people did not even bother to inform me about non delivery of the above mentioned consignment.

2. Is this the level of competence your courier company wants to achieve? You must be aware that such highly inadequate and disgusting service will not attract too many customers-at least I will never come to a DTDC outlet in future. By providing such poor services your lousy employees will make DTDC: Dustbin To Dustbin Courier agency.

This has reference to the LR No. D06013622 of DTDC, I had used DTDC courier services to send a courier to Nasik for that you have charged amount Rs1800.00 for 7.5 kg of weight.
Its looks overcharged to us and price that is too high compare to other courier for same service (Air cargo). I suspected and called one of your franchisee (Ms Dtdc Marathalli Phone No:[protected] and they told me that for this particular LR Rs1275.00 only charged.
Again and again I have tried calling this phone no.[protected] multiple times without positive response; also nobody interested into replay my mails and just ignored.

It clearly looks overcharged and cheated us in all the recent consignments; therefore I demand immediate corrective action and reimbursement of difference amount from the concerned franchisee.

I had sent a courier to my hometown with my original driving license in it. The courier guy lost the courier and now they are telling me that I can claim only 100 Rs. as mentioned on the courier receipt. I had sent that courier with utmost trust on DTDC but they did not take good care of it and lost it in transition. I have lost such a valuable document of mine and there's a lot of expenses I have to bear on transportation, since I cannot drive. I have logged a complaint with DTDC # 673168 but no output has come. My courier receipt # P15113455 Courier sent from Pune to Gurgaon. If you need any other information, please revert. I need justice because even if DTDC been careless and still they are showing attitude.

Please note we had sent courier 35Kgs AIR Mode Tirupur to MUMBAI and paid charges Air mode cost , but they sent surface mode and take late delivery, still now dtdc did not refund money , so, please use Indian postal save india

Feedback: Very worst Sir, for delivery timing DTDC

I am a student of the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta. As our term ended, we all had to pack and send our items home. There were various agencies such as Campus2Home, DTDC etc. which visited our campus. DTDC offered the most attractive rates at Rs. 17.5 per kg with no initial charges. Since DTDC had good presence in my hometown Bombay, I decided to opt for the offer much against my own better judgement when they had delayed delivering my items to Calcutta from Bombay by more than 6 days!!

I neatly packed all my items into a carton and kept it ready for the DTDC agent to come and collect it from my room. When Mr. Deepak, the agent, arrived, he measured the weight and gave me a bill. I showed him the items I had packed in the box which included books, tennis balls, some cosmetics etc. He did not bother listing down the items on the bill. Also, I asked him the if the carton was good enough for delivery purpose and he said it was ok, no additional carton was needed.

4 days later,

1) I receive the items in loose condition (in a big Jumbo bag) as the carton (in which I had packed items) was completely damaged

2) Items missing included -
Dunlop Tennis Balls worth Rs. 330
Cosmetics (like body spray, shampoo etc.) worth Rs. 1000

I immediately lodged a complaint with DTDC. They got back to me with one Ms. Shaista. After 2 days of waiting, they pleasantly informed that they observed no change in the weights of items delivered at different points and consequently, concluded that they would not reimburse anything back. Further, they offered no explanation as to why the carton was broken and items sent to me in loose condition. It was an utterly shocking response from an agency as old & reputed as DTDC. Unfortunately, I did not take photos of the items delivered but if I had posted those, it would have made a fitting expose of DTDC's shoddy services.

Never again will I send my items through DTDC. They merely cheat customers with their low attractive rates. I encourage others to pay a little extra and send it through a more reliable agency than DTDC!!

I sent a parcel through DTDC as a company WheelLife Travel India Pvt.Ltd Bangalore to an individual residing in Puri, Orissa,who had made a purchase from us. The package was sent on the 10th of Feb 2011 and has still not reached the receiver. According to DTDC it is still stuck at the Kolkata check post. On talking to DTDC initially they said it was held up due to some other consignment and so ours will be released in a day or 2. However after a couple of days I was told that a certain form which needed to be sent by the transporting agent for transporting goods overland had not been attached. This story was soon changed and we were told that we would need to pay up Rs. 2000/- ( our bill amount of the goods sent is only Rs 3893/-) to release our goods. We refused and argued has to why we would need to pay up as we have nothing to do with the routing of the goods, hence its the transporting agents duty to ensure all documents need to be in place as they do the routing. We have furnished them with a copy of the invoice while dispatching the goods, with the price (taxes as applicable) and content of the package. As of now every time I call they say our package will be released in a day or 2, its been nearly 2 months now and not once have I received a call from them regarding this matter. For any information thus far we have had to contact them foe the same, never once have they called us.

I had sent a courier with branded garments. Few garments were stolen, repacked and courier was sent.
It was a B'day gift for my brother. I felt very bad and did the same mistake again by buying the same garments and sending thorough the same courier..
I lost the same set again...This time the courier reached with just 1/2 of the weight.

I sent a courier through DTDC courier service on 4th March 2011 to Garhmukteshwar. I also varified that if there is a service of DTDC there in Garhmukteshwar. They said that there is a service. Today its 29th March 2011. 26 days since courier was delivered. It has not been received yet to the receiver. This courier was very important and i already lost 27,000 thousand amount due to this.
I did everything that i can do to recover it but they have an irresponsible behavior now.
I want to sue them please suggest me what legal action can i take against them.

On 14th of March, a courier was accepted for despatch by a South Delhi hub of DTDC. I was confident that, because of DTDC's professed huge network, the article (containing very important legal documents with a timeframe attached to its receipt) would be delivered, as I was promised, within four days. The article was addressed to a place called Dighra, not very remote in West Bengal, and not distantly unreachable from the company's airport hub at Kolkata (Dumdum). When the article did not reach the destination in even 5 days, I started frantically visiting the website of DTDC to keep watch on its delivery and safety. From that time, I started sending emails to the Kolkata office which, after repeated reminders, merely informed that the address could not be traced! Then, I started emailing to the HQ of the co., which also thought it proper to ignore the mails. The Kolkata hub informed after 10 days that the address not having been found, the article was being returned to the sender-a fact which was kindly intimated by the HQ after 4 mails! That was a days back. It was finally received back today (the 27th), and that too after much prodding. The envelope bears clear evidence of the fact that, the Kolkata Hub did phone up the addressee and got exact location of the address too. But, the delivery was NOT made. Through your website I would like to caution the unsuspecting prospective customers to be cautious and careful about using DTDC in futue.
