I was expecting a parcel from Hyderabad which was dispatched on the 22nd of Nov' 2011 and till date i have not received my parcel as yet. I have a feeling that this delay lies with the DTDC service in Gauhati / Guwahati because another parcel dispatched on the 29th of Nov' 2011, again from Hyderabad, was received today, i.e., the 3rd of Dec' 2011, after we had called up the Gauhati / Guwahati office yesterday. Gauhati / Guwahati is a transit point for us living in Kohima, Nagaland, and most delays occur in the city. The person receiving the phone told us that a parcel was with them and would be sent obviously because we had called up inquiring about it. Attempts to call up the same office to inquire about the other parcel went unanswered ([protected]). My issues here are:

1. Do we have to call up the courier to inquire if there are parcels for us lying with them?
2. The parcel i received today was tampered with and partially open, why?
3. Why the inordinate delay despite the fact that it was dispatched 11 (eleven) days ago?

I got an Courier which should be delivered to my office address. But the admin in office has informed the courier company tat personal couriers should not be delivered in despatch section of office. So the courier company has sent a text message to my mobile number which was not delivered on time. So the DTDC courier in charge has sent back the courier to head office which is very far away from my place. When i asked regarding the courier , the owner is just telling tat i have forwarded back the courier. When i asked from which address the courier has come, she is tellingi dont know. She didnt even tell me the Courier Track number which is an irresponsible reply to a customer. When i asked about her that the courier boys could have called me and informed me. But she is telling cant call and waste the balance. I asked her that you could have atleast given me a missed call and i would have called back. But she said we cant call each and every customer and just cut the call. Again i called several times. But she was disconnecting the call. This is the poor service provided by DTDC courier. Finally i suggest having such in charge person will definitely spoil the name and fame of the courier Org.Please take appropriate action. The branch of the DTDC is below.

After a very very frustrating last few days, with no options left, I have to pen down this frustration to complain forum.
I had sent courier through DTDC Courier Services from Mumbai to Gorakhpur (U.P.) on 15th November 2011.
Consignment number is M68714359.

Courier was supposed to be delivered by 18th November evening however it is still in transit even after 6 days.
This courier was for my brother who is working in IAF and was leaving Gorakhpur on 21st November Morning.
Only after getting verbal confirmation from DTDC representative that they can deliver it by 18th Nov, I had couriered it through DTDC.
Now my brother has left for Jodhpur and he has already missed this consignment.

Also, whenever I am calling DTDC customer care, they are asking me to contact different branches in Mumbai, Delhi and Gorakhpur and only response I am getting from these branches is that they have dispatched it from Delhi or they have not received it in Gorakhpur.

Please take very strong action against these guys as they are typical example of sheer unprofessionalism and careless handling of loyal customers.

I sent a Caurrier from China on 22 Sep. 2011 of amount $ 44 means Rs. 2200/- via dtdc, my shippment deliver on Jaipur, India on 19 Oct. 2011. when it delivered in Jaipur. Dtdc chrarged me Rs. 5984/-, but not give me reciept. they sent me email. they charged me allready around Rs. 2080/-, for delivery caurrier charge. when i ask for extra amount, they didn't told me why they charged by us. when legal charge was Rs. 684/-, i ask why the shippment delay in delivery, they didn,t reply me. I think that the business of caurrier is not going good in dtdc, so when a customer comes in dtdc, they cheat him with a lot of money and control expencess of company. one thing more the maths of staff is also not good, may be this is the new way of cheat, i send a sample of email which i got from dtdc staff. the total of amount is wrong. every body can calculate this will be Rs.5948/-, but they caculate this is Rs. 5984/-. how they calculate,,, ???????? what mean of clearence charge, is it under table amount or ?? custom duty is Rs. 684/-, but cha charge is Rs. 2000/-, wah dtdc .

I sent an envelope on 24th October from Shillong (DTDC Currier , Shillong Police Bazar KF 1443) containing my paper and registration details for a national conference to be held on 25th November, at Jaya Engineering College, Chennai- 602024. Before submitting my document, I informed the staff to check the service availability because this is very urgent document. The staff replied me that they have service in that location and she informed me that within 4 days it will reach there. On 28th October, I checked the status of my document online using the CN NO. K50427822 and found that my document was not delivered. I talked to the DTDC staff over phone (Phone no:[protected] regarding my document. She replied that “we are sending a mail to deliver the article”. On 1st November I found that it was coming back. At once I called the staff and told them about the matter. The staff once again assured me that they are taking step to deliver the document. On the next day, when online I noticed that they returned it to Kolkata; I tried to contact the staff but could not. Then I collected the contact number of Kolkata regional office customer care department of the company and informed over phone (Phone No[protected] about my problem. After listening my problem, the officer said "we are sorry, now we have no service in that area, but it was not updated". I really astonished. I said, I sent an urgent document for a conference, How can you say it now? Who will take the responsibility? Why as a customer will I suffer? The staff informed me that "I am giving you the number of Guwahati office, you better contact to them as it is in Guwahati area.” When I talked to the Guwahati office, the person who picked up the phone told me that "the packed has not returned back to us till now. When it will come to us we will try to refund you at a free of cost".
Hearing this I really shocked. I sent a paper for the conference, where already I have paid Rs. 3,000 through internet banking (Account No: [protected] Axis Bank, Transaction Ref. No: IR10310221, UTR No. : SBINH[protected]) and if the hard copy of my article not reach on or before 31 st October, 2011, the paper will not be published. When I told that person regarding their irresponsibility, he replied that "you booked it from shillong office, talk to them". When I called the shillong office, after knowing my name, the staff advised me to talk to the manager of the centre, who will come next day (5th November).
After that I did not talk to anybody. I talked to the convener of the seminar about the matter. He told me that he needs the hard copy of the paper and delegation form (duly signed) for considering it for the conference and publication. On 4th November again I have sent after taking all print outs and filling up the form through Indian Speed Post (NO: EE[protected]IN). I don’t know when it will reach and whether they will accept it or not.
I have informed you everything about the matter. But it is not possible to express my mental tension. What reply I have got from different staffs, I have tried to explain. Till today (8.11.2011) I have not received the packed. In fact getting refund of that packed is not important to me, I may not accept it.
I would like to request you to take necessary legal steps regarding their fault for non-delivery of important document and also punish them so that they would take care about their future correspondence with the customer. If you need any evidence or any clarification about it, I will send you immediately.

Sir, a package was send through DTDC courier from Kolkata of docket no. F[protected] on[protected] for Gorakhpur,UP. After non availability of the product when inquired from Kolkata office it was reported that the package was delivered. On inquiring the matter at GKP office it was again shown that the package was delivered. On asking for the recipient's signature it was found that some hand written other person's name was on the receipt. On asking for the delivery man named IQBAL AHMED it was told by the GKP office that the delivery man is missing and not known.It is very stunning that how such a renowned courier service can deliver such an important package costing around Rs.50,000/-(Fifty thousand) in this way without handing over the package to the proper person. I am very sure that my costly package has been stolen by the delivery man and the matter is been supressed by the Gorakhpur office whose manager is Mr. Hari Om Shukla ( Mob. No.[protected].

A very important document was couriered to me at my howrah (west bengal) residential address from Manipur. The consignment number is "K49723345 on 11th october 2011". After more than a month I am still to receive my document. I have already lost a very important deal because of hthis and have incurred huge financial loss. I tried contacting DTDC several times but no response from them. The Manipur DTDC branch had confirmed us they had despatched the courier to Kolkata. On tracking online I could find that the courier had reached kolkata. But it bever reached my residence. Moreover,there is no co-operation from DTDC. Kindly look into this matter. I have already incurred huge loss because of this but its high time we teach lessons to this kind of companies. Looking forward to your earliest co-operation.

the contents of the parcel are a ATM card, a PAN card, medicines and accessories..it has been send through dtdc courier service.i contacted them bt they couldn't found the parcel and they are sayin that it hs been miss route to some other location and they searched bt couldn't find it.

I, Rupsa Mukherjee have sent a consignment of some clothees to my family in Kolkata. I had sent it from mumbai through a dtdc courier agent in malwani, malad (west) his name is Bhavesh and his mobile number is [protected]. He had come to my house and picked it up and had given me receipt with my consignment number which is D06723119. My consignment was suppose to reach by the 17the of oct. When it didnt reach on time from 17th till today which is Nov 3rd i have been calling dtdc and everyday they assure me that my parcel will reach but still it hasnt reached my family. From last 3 days i have been talking on thee phone with two dtdc employee in kolkata one is Samiran Sarkar ([protected]) and another man called Biplob ([protected]) theese men have claimed Rs4100 from me saying i have to pay penalty on my consignment because thee sales tax department have ceased my parcel and till thee time i pay them they wont release my parcel. Now when i asked thee courier agent in mumbai he is saying that the kolkata dtdc employee are just harassing me to get money out from me but i donot have to pay any penalty for anything. The mumbai dtdc has assured me teat my delivery will be done by tomorrow morning.

FRom last 23 days i have been calling mumbai dtdc and kolkata no one is giving me any answere. theey have harrased me and wasted my time. I dont understand why do i have to pay any penalty and for what? I had only sent a bunch of tshirts from mumbai to my family in kolkata. Please suggest me what i should do and how long do i need to run around to get my parcel. Hope to hear back form you soon.

Dear Sir/Ma`m,

I was expecting a courier at Raipur (Chhattisgarh) booked from Nagavarapalaya-Bangalore, but unfortunately due to poor service from DTDC neither it was delivered at my address nor I was contacted regarding it (despite the fact that my mobile no. was mentioned with the address).

And it was returned back , online status showed:: "RTO DUE TO NO SERVICE", despite the fact that address written on it was absolutely correct and there are people (security) 24X7 available at my college to receive such things (even on weekends).

I conveyed my message to the DTDC people also but apart from one mail stating sorry and promising me that they will look in to the issue seriously nothing was done. and my continuous reminders made no difference. This kind of delivery service being provided to customers is not acceptable at all, and I need proper action to be taken against DTDC hence kindly guide me for further procedures.

I have all the proof of the mails and consignment.

I had sent an important courier to Kolkata vide AWB No B 77098970 on 19th October 2011. This is still not delivered and DTDC gives a reason that the sales tax dept in Kolkata has siezed all consignments of DTDC . They also cannot guarantee any delivery. Frankly I feel they have lost the consignment and making reasons just to ward of litigation.

Long time back DTDC was a trusted name in Courier world, but now the services are going worse day after day. The Customer Service Staff is very rude and they even dont know how to talk with customer. Delivers consignments late as per their convenience, Returns the consignment to the source without even confirming the recipient. They dont even do a second attempt of delivery. Makes unnecessary delay in delivering the items...

This is with regard to wrong attitude of Kahlon enterprises one of your franchisee in fatehgarh churian .One packet was delieved to them dtd 30/08/2011 vide POD no Z39203831 .The packet has to been deievered to Max new York life gurgaon.But according to Co the same was not delievered .I asked your franchisee office to provide me the proof .From the last one week he is saying that we have not recieved mail from the HO .Today when i again asked them for the same he behaved in rude way and said the same may take two months also .I am branch head AXis bank and this is the second time he behaved in such a rude way with the staff in prensence of customers.You are requested to take immediate action against them as they are behaving in illeterate way with the customer .If the action not taken with desired time I will circulate mail to all my branches regarding behaviour of DTDC and same will be put on consumer Court
This is my humble request to cancell the franchisee of these type of people as the same will effect the reputation of the Co.

HI, I have attached an email conversation for the people who can understand my issue faced with DTDC.
I had sent a courier on[protected], and it was reached to the receiver on[protected]. This is a fraudulent activity done by DTDC. They broke open the container and the 4 pen set were missing in the container, and they just sealed back the baggage from outside how it was and was sent to the receiver. While i dispatched the goods, the courier was weighing 210gms as confirmed, however when this reached to a another destination point the courier was weighing 60gms, and DTDC is not ready to investigate as to who flicked the goods at their end. I have attached the consignment receipt where in, in the place of customer signature it was signed by DTDC executive and they never gave me an opportunity to speak or to get clarified on few of my questions. Am fighting with DTDC since a week, and they are treating me like a slave. Its tough to describe the words spoken from their end. Its rough and arrogant.
Please see the detailed mail which I am sending on daily basis to DTDC and still have not got any response. We as an individual are fighting for our right in each and every part of our life, and none are bothered to resolve our issue, or not ready to put a stop to the corruption which is seen in majority of the area in our country. Its been a long time i have waited to get one justice from DTDC. The way the orders they have flicked from the courier and the empty courier is sent to the receiver.
Today is another day i had a worst experience with DTDC. Franchise people have signed their own signature while giving the consignment slip to the customer, secondly the people on day one made me to wait and acted they were too busy in updating the details in the receipt. Finally i never got time to view what was written in the consignment slip.

Collector guy informed me while speaking to Jayanthi in Madiwala that he was too busy as such he didn't realize to ask customer to sign on the bill, if so why did he sign on the slip. When he is so busy, he never bothered to listen as to what the amount I was telling to him. I told the order is minimum Rs.4500, and he has entered in receipt as Rs450, and he has not mentioned the weight on the slip. When i asked the same day he told as the weight is above 150gm he is collecting Rs.45 as charges and the actual weight was 210gm which he confirmed, later this was dispatched to Bannerghatta Franchise office, from their when it went to Madiwala DTDC office, they checked that the goods was weighing only 60gm. I am in continuous with each and every branch since the fraudulent activity was involved from DTDC end, now i see DTDC Madiwala were blaming all these while to Bannerghatta Branch, and Lakshmi from Bannerghatta branch was blaming Madiwala. So as one company DTDC you need to resolve the things for me, however Lakshmi is asking me to provide some solution to resolve the issues. This is really fun show cased by DTDC company.

The collector guy is changing the words now and than, and DTDC as a team is not showing any action in this regards. Looking at the email chain i have provided complete details, and I don't see any action, in return today Lakshmi from DTDC blamed the sender of the goods saying" What if you have not kept the order and just to claim money you are playing this role", second secenario which she raised was the receiver of the goods has taken the item inside the container and he is cheating. How can Lakshmi put a false information on us without doing any investigation.

If DTDC wouldn't have found guilty of their job, I should have got a response over the mail, and I see only once the customer care executive responded to take action to the necessary people, however after my follow up they got little time to spare on my issue but was not at all taken into consideration.

Its really a frustrating time for me to say, that DTDC treated me worse than a slave in past one week. DTDC team is not ready to investigate on the missing goods, nor they are ready to re-pay for the losses done from their end.

I believe DTDC is opening each and every order sent by a customer, if its worth they will keep and send empty courier to the receiver of the goods, if its not worth to them they will send the actual what is available in the content.

I will fight for the justice till the end, and every day starting Friday, i will circulate this mail adding one recipient, such that the public should get aware on the DTDC, the way they are treating the customer who go with the trust to them.

I am attaching the courier bill once more to you, Please investigate and get back to me on the signature. If this mail is not taken seriously and i guess this is the last chance am giving to your company on this fraudulent and misbehavior shown to the customer, I will be mailing and copying the company brands listed in the brackets(TV9, Facebook, Twiter, Orkut. Linkdin, Sulekha, Yahoo News, Consumer court & more) such that i can advertise well about your fraudulent business. From tomorrow the mail will hit to these company brands inbox, including other service providers in courier business. Later please don't blame me if the profit of the company is reduced.

I noticed today over the call with Bannerghatta team, While speak I clearly mentioned that the weight checked at the collectors point was 210gms(Exact when i saw while weighed was 214gms), but still the person told me that when they received the order to Bannerghatta it was 60gms. So the chain goes in this way: Collector---->Bannerghatta Franchise ------>Madiwala and finally goes to Chennai. Collector updated me that when he sent the courier to Bannerghatta it was 210gms, when i checked with Madiwala, they confirmed when the received the package it was 60gms. So i guess its clear for you to understand, where its gone wrong now.

I have been calling each and every person since a week, and if DTDC wouldn't have found guilty, i would have expected the reply at-least on one of the below email, which i didn't see till date. Am at-least happy that the customer care(Geeta) has raised this issue from their end.

Please pass on a clear information across your network, when any customer comes to ask the information clear and not to take any information blindly/ or if not heard properly. I generally use Bluedart service and they are too particular in writing each and every fields in the consignment receipt, and not missing most of the field and that was not the case if i look at DTDC receipt of consignment.

Though it is advertised in media that DTDC is India's Largest Domestic Delivery Network Company , they are giving least importance to Customer Grievances. I had a very bad experience with DTDC for an international Cargo Delivery to my Home Town in Cochin, Cochin and tried to contact DTDC offices, to submit my case. The Field staff in Middle East even apologized for the the troubles caused. I need DTDC to reimburse the charges collected from me for the service. By DTDC courier from noida branch, which has some important documents,today is its 8th day of sending but the status is not changes after monday and not delivered till now. DTDC taking unexpectable time 8 or more days for delivered a courier to the place where a person can reach there in max 8 hr by normal train. We are sending continue keep on mailing them they assured us it is in process I don't know how much time it will be in process? We are getting calls from the party about the courier we have no answer because of them we are feeling guilty.
Please do something for the courier must be delivered there.
