Sir,
I have the honour to inform you that I bought an exide battery (Type-DG 150, Sr. No [protected]) on 21.07.2007 from Mahesh motors, Hospital Road-Sivasagar for domestic use in inverter. But, I have got some problem in my battery since first week of July'08. I was unable to check the battery at proper time . Having checked the battery in Mahesh Motors on 6/08/08 found that one of the cells got damaged. The battery got damaged just completetion of one year. I have send a letter to The Area Sales Manager, Exide Indrustries Ltd. Guwahati on 08/08/08 to kindly replace the battery . But I have not received any reply from him. So, I think you will be kind enough to comply with my request and keep the reputation of your company.

    Sir,

    I have purchased the scooty from TCS Bajaj last year in Nov.2007. ON 3rd Sept’08 I came to know there is problem in battery. I gave for the replacement of battery to your co. authorized dealer i.e. KAKKER OILS & BATTERIES. His shop address is 16/6, Mathura Road, old Faridabad chowk (Haryana). I gave the battery to Mr. Rajiv kakker on 3rd sept’08. He asked me to collect the battery within one week. Today is 10th sept’08. When I confirmed him today he said it will take 2-3 days more. When I contact Mr. Narender in Gurgaon. His mobile no. is [protected]. He said he has received the battery yesterday i.e. on 9th sept’08.

    Sir, I am failing to understand why Mr. Rajiv kakker has kept the battery with him for one week. Due to this I am facing many problems. I am not able to drive the sooty; it’s still lying in agency from past one week. Further, on 3rd sept’08 when I gave the battery to Mr. Rajiv kakker, he charged Rs.100 from me, by saying this is the transportation charges which I have to bear. When I said the battery is in guarantee period, the co. will bear the transportation charges, he asked if I want to give the battery for replacement I have to pay the charges, else I have to take my battery back. Along with the guarantee slip of battery, he has taken the photocopy of RC. Again I am failing to understand why he has taken the photocopy of the same.

    Sir, if I am not wrong if the battery is in guarantee period, transportation charges have to be bear my the co .not by the customer, for which he has charges Rs.100 and he has taken the photocopy of my RC also. Sir, I can’t expect such type of services and problems from such reputed co, which your authorized dealers are doing, cheating and misguiding the customer.

    As already week is over, I request you to look in to the matter and do the needful at the earliest.

    Exide — Replacement of battery

    exide battery 12 v — no idea whether he gave the battery for which I paid

    I bought battery 12 volts for Rs. 7400 including tax. I do not know whether the dealer gasve new battery and for which I paid.
    just now i bought a big battery 12 v how to know that battery is brand new and the dealer has not deceived me?

    I m Nilesh Zawar from Pune (Mah). I had purchased new Din 60 battery for my Hyundai Accent car 18 months before, now it is not working properly hence asked for replacement. You have approved for the same but I have not received the battery from last 8 days. How many days do you take to send the new battery & can you provide me standby battery.

      PLEASE INFORM ME THE WARRANTY OF INVAQUEEN EXIDE BATTERY AND HOW TO LOG COMPLAINT IN EXIDE.
      Mr Anil S. Gowda I purchaseing Tow Exide IT 500 at 22-12-06 Sr No. 1J6 038786 and Other 13-12-06 Sr.No. 2W6 6478 This Batteries Join in Seriel at 24 Input to UPS But after 2 month I recognise the backup of your battery not geetting proper I complent to Your Autorised Deler, They are check and seen one battery 1J6 038786 is Weak I have also gravity meter Other one is Ok But this is getting a problem, I complent to Shah Corportation Exid deler, They get and charging for 2 days after that the give me retur I join to UPS at 24 Volt After one week This condition comming down backup not geetting proper, After That I repet complent to Mr. Shah Then He ask to Contact Mr. Shukla (Pacific Marketing). This person say give the battery I will Give the battery at[protected] after perchasing 2 month they give back at 9-01-07 Voucher No 224 Now This battery Getting Problem This Battery Warranty in 30 month this complieted only 19 Month and This 19 months this is not work properly. What I do Now. Just Watch to Finsh Your Warranty or Geeting some legal action for that inconvient.

      Also I notice that on your warranty Card First Write Sr No. & Batch No. Put Whitner on That After That This Again Write Sr. No. 1J6 038786 how I beleve this battery is legal and I am the First Who Cutomer this perchase the battery

        Dear Sir,

        I’ve purchased a new EXIDE Battery Type ATB - 38B20R Mfg. Code 437 Sl.No.23275 on 18/08/2007 for my Hyundai Santro car from a local Dealer M/S LEO BATTERIES, 57-F, Car Street, Opp. Periya Mariyamman Koil Chennai Road, KRISHNAGIRI – 635001. (TN). Phone. No. 04343 – 238682, CELL. NO.[protected]. VAT INVOICE / CASH BILL No. 3613.

        Ever since I purchased it was problematic – not retaining charge, the dealer tried his maxim several times to rectify it by repeatedly recharging it & finally it was sent twice to the company for rectification but of no use. Hyundai Car Service Engineer also recommended for replacement of this battery being it was found to be faulty on my Vehicle periodic maintenance services.

        The battery warranty card & the cash bill are with the Dealer which was handed over to him even on the first complaint itself. The Dealer is keep on dogging & dragging > a year my claim by keep on assuring me the replacement of a new battery in a day or two.

        Owing to the faulty battery some of the electronic systems of my car gone repaired incurred me a loss of > several thousands of Rupees when it was fitted in my car.

        At present I’m using my car with the standby battery supplied by the dealer for the interim period. Without a new battery all my programs & tours are simply being shattered & caused me a great mental agony over the loss.

        So, May I request you to kindly do the needful & replace a worthy, working new battery at an early date.

          Dear Sir,

          I already did one complaint about the EXIDE BATTERY that I have purchased on 30th MAY '08. It's not at all giving proper back up as it is not at all charging.

          A Service Engineer named MUKESH ( EXIDE BATTERY SERVICE, JHANSI U.P ) is saying that - I am at a higher post and what do You consider me ? I won't do anything at my END as my supplied BATTERY has no FAULT and Your INVERTER has some FAULT.

          I am going to purchase a new BATTERY from a new shop within a week.

          I was tortured a lot by the SHOP OWNER and have already done lot of complaints.

          Please tell me what should I do as I am really finding myself in a real HELPLESS STATE.

          Dear sir,
          We have purchased two nos battery banks of Exide make 180AH Express on dated 16.08.08/ billno.237 and 19.08.08/ bill no.184 from your authorized dealer M/S M.B.Power Solutions Noida ( Mr. Ajay Gupta [protected]) . But one of them bank ( Battery no’s 88683, 88691, 88690&88686) is not working properly from day one, so many times we have informed to them but not taken it seriously . Now the condition is that neither he picking our phone nor giving us service while we have no any outstanding .

          Now problem is that we are facing lot of problems because of that is commercial building and we are unable to start the our DG sets immediately to avoid any unusual circumstances. Pls look in to this and help us to run our system smoothly.

          We have also need 4 Banks for our lifts back up supply but this type of behavior is not allowing us to purchase the EXIDE make battery.

          Reference: - Tele Conversation between Mr. Mayank Ramani, Service Officer, Jabalpur and myself on dated 26/03/2010, 6/04/2010 & 12/04/2010.

          Dear Sir,

          During the conversation, I have brought to your knowledge that my Company M/s. I.C.T. Pvt. Ltd at Narsinghpur has suffered immensely because of not providing replacement to 2 Nos. Exide Batteries purchased from your accredited Agency M/s. Himalaya Agency located at Narsinghpur. The said batteries were purchased from above mentioned agent on date 6/08/2009 vide bill No. 1925. The batteries are under warranty period and the batteries have not worked satisfactory even for 5 (Five) months of continued period o[censored]se from the date of purchase.

          The defect was intimated to Mr. Jain, your agency holder (M/s. Himalaya Agency, Narsinghpur) and sent the said batteries as per his desire on 25/02/2009 for replacement but it is regretted to say that Instead of replacement he tried to repair the batteries after checking compatibility of the Batteries with the Inverters and vise versa again & again without fruitful results. Also during this period I requested him to replace the defective batteries with the new one but he only assured me that the batteries will be corrected perfectly as he was sending these batteries to Main Branch Office, Jabalpur but again it is regretted to say that all went in vain. In this way a lot of time was wasted and nothing came out of his efforts, except putting every body in my Company in misery and discomfort during this summer season.

          This will not be out of place to mention here that I have to hire 2 Nos. batteries, as standby, for use in my Company from 25/02/2010 to date because of inordinate delay in rectifying the defect.

          Keeping above in view and urgency for replacing the batteries immediately, I would like to request you to do the needful without any further loss of time. I am sure you will personally intervene in the matter and take effective steps to address my deep grievances favorably.

          Exide interter batteries are too bad. atleast i can say about in 1500 plus since i am using this since past 2 years and not found it satisfactory, .
          Even i have a exide batteries and was facing the same problems . then in some days i got the solution to these remedies.there is one product called Signet ETP battery activator.It enhances the battery life and is eco friendly.It does not harm the battery and dissolve the sulfation.Plz believe me and try once the product.pleadr visit te website www.signet.co.in for further information.

            Dear Sir,
            I have purchased one EXIDE BATTERY ( IN 1500 PLUS INVERTOR on 30th MAY '08 ). Book No : 009 and Sl. No. : 417 from UNIVERSAL BATTERY SERVICE, GAYATRI MARKET JHOKAN BAGH, JHANSI, UTTAR PRADESH.

            My Battery is not giving proper back up from the day one. Since day one its giving only 6 hours back up on fully charged state. I did the complaint to the dealer but he is not giving proper acknowledgement. He is saying that my Invertor has some fault while the battery is working properly.

            I called one electrician and checked my INVERTOR and found it completely okay. The behaviour of Battery Dealer is very DIRTY and is not providing any assistance to me.

            Sir, I am really in a helpless state please provide me assisstance as earliest.

            This is India, Mera Bharat Mahan Hai, and Bharatiya bhi Mahan Hai
            India is Shining and Indians are also Shining.
            Here, even if it is Foreign co, established In INDIA no one bothers about the complaints of consumers, even though there is fault of Manufactuerers.
            That is all.
            We are RO dealer of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd since last 28 years. We are also in transportation business for more than 25 years. We are regular customer of Ashoke Leyland & Exide. We had purchased a vehicle having brand name “Ashoke Leyland” from your esteemed organisation ( Shree Automotives (P) Ltd., Behrampore ) bearing delivery challan no VHS/L/041/09-10 on 28thMay 2009 . It takes further 3 month to obtain explosive licence and other permission in order to carry petroleum products. So the vehicle becomes ready for transportation by beginning of September 2009.
            Now in mid of February 2010 one of the battery shows problem. The local mechanic said that the battery (4E8348101) has manufacturing defect. So the battery shows problem in just 4.5 month. We had then informed Mr. Firoz Sekh of Shree Automotive (P) Ltd., Behrampore for the same. As per him battery is covered under guarantee hence suggest us to send the battery to them. As per their suggestion we send the battery to Shree Automotive (P) Ltd., Behrampore. They then send the same to Exide, behrampore through Mr. P.Samanta. after 10 days their feedback is not satisfactory. We had to rent battery for plying my Tank Lorry since last 1.5 month. Hence we are bearing financial loss.
            Now it is our request to kindly replace the same at an early date please. Hope you will be kind enough to consider the same and save us from financial loss.

            I BOUGHT A INVERTER BATTERY TYPE 6EM25R, CAPACITY 180 AH, ON 13.08.2008., THROUGH MEGASTAR BATTERY CENTRE ASANSOL . THE POWER POSITION IN THE YEAR 2008-09 AND UPTO DEC09 WAS QUITE GOOD AND HARDLY THE INVERTER WAS PUT TO REAL TEST.
            BUT, AFTER JAN10 THE POWER POSITION DETERIOTED AND THE INVERTER/BATTERY WAS TO REAL TEST. GRADUALLY THE PERFORMANCE DETERIOTED AND FINALLY FROM THE SHOP THE MECHANIC CHECKED AND SAID THE BATTERY HAS FAILED AND I SHOULD GO FOR A REPLACEMENT.
            IS THE BATTERY WORTH ONLY 18 MONTHS. IF YOU GO BY THE STATUTE THEN I CANNOT COMPLAIN, BECAUSE THE WARANTY IS FOR 12 MONTHS, BUT MY EARNEST REQUEST TO YOU WOULD BE TO ARRANGE FOR A REPLACEMENT/ REPAIR SO THAT THE IMAGE OF THE COMPANY REMAINS HIGH.REGARDS,

              I had purchased an Exide Inva Tubular Battery, Model No. IT-550
              Serial no. 9381 on[protected] with 30 months warranty from your dealer GRD Tractors Ambala Road Saharanpur(U.P) bill no. 2143 dt.[protected] in favour of Harsharan Singh & Co. Saharanpur, (U.P), Off no.[protected], Manager M :[protected] .Battery is attached to Genus 800 va inverter. Battery is not working since april, 2008 and i informed the dealer about that.
              From near about one month battery is submitted to the dealer but there is no response. No replacement is given within the warranty period. Due to above problems the customer is incurring business loss. I request You to replace the battery as soon as possible

              i purchased exide battery IT500 with 48 months warranty from ARORA ELECTRONICS ALLAHABAD (U.P.)

                zscoin1350plus slno 59543 was purchased on 24'10/07 from patna battery centre patna.The battery is not giving me the required back up for the last five months.I have sent the battery for check up to your service centre three times and each time they send it back with a ok certificate.
                I am not a coutomer to make false complains as i have got my invertor tested and it is giving me 3hours back up on old service battery of your company only.I have been harresed quite a bit running to your dealer and then to your service centre all the time.Kindly look into this problem and do the needful.

                  sir i am living in sahibabad ghaziabad.i have purchsas a batetie of exide invered 500 of last year in july and the replacement garente is for two years sir with in a six months the cells found down as report by shopkeeper they sent it to Ghaziabad company (ph.[protected] name of shop is repairwala) in Ghaziabad they have chacked and send it to back same batrie .again with in two months it found not proper work again the shopkeeper send a person and chacked and he said i will channged it.it is not working. again he will take my baterie and send to the company for this process he take money from me.anyway what i see they will send again same batrie to me .right mow my batrie is in company name repairwala job sheet no is 1779. sir i request please look at the matter. they are not instrested to change the batrie .pl.inform me as soon as possible.

                    During Guaranty / Warranty Period the above Battery is not being working properly, I discussed the matter & left the Battery Dated : 10 th June 2008 for repair / maintinence at your EXIDE INDUSTRIES LTD.                     After my regular followup with all concern staff from EXIDE INDUSTRIES LTD. Property No.1402/1/31, Jamabandi No.3338/434, Daultabad Road, Near Railway Station, Gurgaon-122006, Still I don't have any satisfactory response or OK Battery,

                    Due to above problem my family is facing lot of problems.

                    As we know that the Exide is a renowed company but this sale service experience we are loosing our confidence on this company, Please try to maintained your company reputation by giving the proper services to the customer.

                          Dear Sir,

                          I bought Exide Max battry just because of your brand name. I had a warrenty of one year on the battery I bought.
                          No doubt the battry worked for one year and a month without any trouble, I also took good care of it with timly checking the water level and filling it incase the level was low.
                          The life of the battry lasted for exatly one year and a month. Now my question is why shouldn't I buy a local made battry instead of your brand as they too have a life of one year, proper service is provided in case of any trouble and lastly they don't come as expensive as one of your batteries.
                          With cost of battries going high do you expect your customer to bye them every year.
                          I am sorry to say this has changed the image of your brand value I had in my mind.

                          I totally agree with Vipul's complaint. The company should do something to improve the battery life. otherwise The goodwill of the company will be gone.
                          Well i dont think like that for the exide battry, as i have a maruti baleno car 2003 an the battry in my car is running really well, MY car is naw 5years+ an the battry is still doing Good, I am proud of exide battry in my car is five years old an in a very good condition.

                          I had the same problem with the Exide Max battery. After taking good care of the battery on a regular basis, it conked out after exactly 1 year and 10 days. The warranty is only for one year, I am considering a local made battery instead of going to a longer warranty Exide.

So if want to do a noble cause for which GOD may bless u, tell each and every person on earth DO NOT BUY EXIDE. Still it will have no impact on EXIDE because of huge indian population

                            I bought a Car battery from Exide dealer M/s SS Battery, B-203A, Sec 16, Noida on 14-7-08. On 15-7-08 morning, it was found that there is no charge. I callled up Exide toll free no. [protected]. The help arrived after 2 hours. They told that the battery is faulty and needs to be replaced. And only the dealer will replace it.

                            I called up the dealer. He informed that his shop is closed today, so he cannot send anybody with another battery.

                            I am stranded; feeling that I should not have purcahsed from Exide.

                                I have purchased one Exide battery model 12 M X 2.5L-2C from SHRI MANJUNATHA BATTERY, # 85, 1ST Main, Mount Joy Road, Hanumantha Nagar BANGALORE 560019 on 17.03.08
                                Battery is discharging frequently, 3 times charged with in 2 months time, I am surprised becasue I used my earlier Battery (Exide) for 3.5 years without any complaint & with out any recharge, now dealer is recharging but not replacing the same.
                                Pl. help me on this.

                                  We are in the situation where we really need the fair decision from the company.

                                  This battery we have purchase for inverter use.

                                  In the starting of summer (month February) our inverter start creating problem, battery low indicator was flashing on the panel and back up was almost nil.
                                  Then we have inform to Mr. Sethi (owner of the company), because both inverter and battery sold by them. Then he send his technician and he said this problem occur because of inverter and we have to call the inverter guy, then the inverter person came ( from luminous ) and changed the charging plate, we checked for about 20 days but that problem was still there, again we call Mr.sethi and inform about this matter. Then again he send the luminous person and he replace the same plate and advice to check for 10 to 15 days, But we are in the same situation, now actually the problem is there in the battery, one cell out of six weak. We have to change the battery. But in the whole process we have lost almost 4 months. Where the actual warranty of the battery is finished. Today I have call to your jhandewalan ( new delhi ) office and speak to Mr. and explain the hole issue but he said he can’t do anything because warranty is finish. We being going back and forth from last 4 months and not finding any solution. We really need your support where we are not actually responsible for what is happening but penalize. we are requesting you to pls give solution.

                                  I had purchased a two wheeler with installed Exide battery on[protected] unfortunately in Oct. the battery failed on what technical grounds really I don't know but the dealer repalced it on[protected] again on[protected] i went for the serviceing of the replaced battery & was asked to get the other equipments checked at the vehicle vedor after having throughly checked all the parts vendor told me the battery is not charging so again on[protected] i went to exide dealer and asked for the problem they told me that they can not help me since the battery was a replacement but how i can believe that the replaced battery was a brand new . At this juncture i feel i have been cheated by your dealer .
                                  I hope company will do the needful & will help me out from this situation

                                  I purchase a battery ( Max Exide ) from Sparkint Auto Agency Noida(Dealer code-21292, C-337 Sector 10 Noida) Battery No. CRN No. GHA/GHA/EX/08/01894 MF. Code -1AB on 1st March 08 for my inverter. The battery given to me was found defective while using. The same was taken by me to your service center . They checked it & confirm that it is defective & kept it for repair for one week from 21 May to 26 May wide challan no. GHA/GHA/08/734. After repair also it is not charging. I feel very imbrassed my hard & money Rs. 6800/= has gone waste without fault of mine.
                                  It is requested that the defective battery may please be changed immidiatly.Eagerly waiting for your action please.

This person say give the battery I will Give the battery at[protected] after perchasing 2 month they give back at 9-01-07 Voucher No 224 Now This battery Getting Problem This Battery Warranty in 30 month this complieted only 19 Month and This 19 months this is not work properly. What I do Now. Just Watch to Finsh Your Warranty or Geeting some legal action for that inconvient.

                                  We purchased one EXIDE XPRESS battery Type MHD 1500 Mfg Code 3B7 Sr. No 98709 on 27, 03.07 from M/S KIRAN ELECTRONICS, Bhatsalapara, M.N.K.Road at Rampurhat in the Dist of Birbhum-731224, WB.

                                  The said battery has been giving treble for the last three months which was reported to M/s Kiran electronic, who recharged the battery several times during the last three months but the charge did not sustained more than one to two hours, lastly on 20.09.08 they took the battery along with the warranty card, for replacement by a new one as per condition but We have not yet taken any new battery returned .

                                    After six months only, the battery started giving issues and when i finally talked to this dealer and

                                    asked him to replace the battery. He informed that he will forward the battery to the company and then

                                    will send us the new battery. Now we handed over the battery to him on 5th june and he promised to

                                    replace this battery by 11 June. Inspite of so many reminders and visits, he has a very callous attitude

                                    towards this request.Your authorised dealer is destroying your reputation.
                                    I am afraid if the battery is not replaced, i have no other option but to approach the consumer forum

                                    We purchased Two Nos Battery as on 13th Dec 2010 through your Authorised dealers INDIA MOTORS PARTS 49, N.M. Road Kolkata - 54, bearing Type No. MHD 1800 mfg Code 3K0 sr No of battery 15434 yesterday the battery was burst. I try to lodge the complain in these No. 22844564 / 70 and then 22843137 again I got another No. 22861859 / 1860 but no one respond, So Irequest you arrange to sent your representative to visit the site and take necessary action.
                                    That I have purchase the battery for my Pulsar motocyclde 0n 27/11/10 at Chandigarh & they have given me the Warranty card for 1 year,
                                    That i am presently resident at Banga, Nawanshahr.That from last one month my battery was not warking properly.That why i take my bike to tour Dealear in Banga (ANKIT AUTO SPARE PARTS) Who is a dealear of Exide battary, but he refuse to take the battery and use so much foul language and also say that I already have 70/80 battary of Exide with me in my shop and the dealing of the Exide company is very bad also when i told him that I will complaint against u to the Exide Batteries.The words he used That I cannot able to write in this Email.

                                    If the same type of the behavour u give to your clients then no one will like to purchase the Exide Batteries.

                                    I have 4 vechiles on my name and in every vechile I have the battery of Exide, But now I will never take Exide battery & also sujesh every 1 not to take the same.

                                    ANKIT AUTO SPARE PARTS ur dealers says that even the owner of the Exide battery canot do any thing against me, even any 1 do the complaint against him

                                    Lets see what action u take against that person, another wise I will publish every thing in the Newspapers regarding the service given to the clients..when to sold there product and after that no action is taken on it...
