This is the worse battery company i ever encounter in my life last year i purchased this battery Inva tubler, and in just one year it starts giving me trouble
When i inform this to Exide people they told me to bring this battery to service center
( they are suppose to give me service at home)
its being more then 50 days since i have given them the batter in New Delhi service center but i am not getting any response from their side. As they always say we need more time to charge it

    I feel that I have been cheated for my inverter battery (Exide Inva Queen 500) by my dealer RR Electricals (No 30 Dr. Ambedkar Salai, Rajarajeswari Nagar, Madipakkam, Chennai - 91). I was given an EL battery with my inverter that I had purchased from them on May 2, 2010. When I refused to take the EL battery as initially we had agreed for Inva series batteries (150 AH) he said that he is going to give a a Inva battery soon as it was not in his stock. He held back the invoice and Waranty card waiting for the replacement battery. After couple of weeks he gave me a InvaQueen 500 battery (Sl. No - 1K[protected]with warranty card) which did not last for even a week. I was not given an invoice after repeated asking though he claims that he has already given that to me at the time of purchase. On contacting Exide I came to know that the battery sold to me was 4 year old and the warranty card was tampered by the dealer. I am desparately looking for help in getting a workable in-warranty battery (with mentioned specification - Exide Inva series 15 AH) with a proper warranty card and invoice.     I purchgased the batery inva queen 500 + from M/s Bhat Sons trade centre M A Road Srinagar on 14.07.2010 vide bill no.750/14.7.2010 >the Batery is duly registered vide no.3qb029139.The batery from initial stage did not give proper out put, we complained to the dealer so many times, but he refered us to the service centre, the people at service centre while opening the batery found that its cells are initiallt damaged and not repraible.As such we approached the dealer, who denied to replace the same.Now we request you to kindly help us to srotout the problem or we may be forced to knock the door of consumar court.
    I do agree with the complaint... We purchased the Battery from a dealer in Thiruchirapalli by Aug'2009 and got the backup complaint at 19th month, the same was sent to chennai for service by the dealer...and was rejected for the expiration of replacement warranty...But finally no use of talking to the dealers or company... Dealer's servicemen says its a failure model... utter waste of getting INVAQueen...
    The said battery if found faulty will be replaced under warranty as per the parameters prescribed by Exide Ltd as it is already mentioned in the warranty card. An claim regarding the same will be settled as per the company norms, a thorough check up of the battery with a complete backup schedule will point out any abnormalities in the product. As far as the dealer is concerned the replacement battery will be provided once the Exide Service Centre declares the battery as faulty.

    Bhatsons Trade Centre has an excellent customer service record and would help in speeding the check-up procedure asap. Inconvenience is highly regretted.
    Kick him on his back. Please tell us, how do you know, warraty expiry? It will help others to be aware of these non-sense habbit of dealers.

      Dear Sir,
      I am very much disappointed regarding SF SONIC battery which is defective one which i have already informed u in the early stage,but u have not yet solved our problem atleast u can replace the battery the defective one and i can purchase another battery new one and i can connect it parallel,so i request u to take this matter on a priority basis and do the needful since this is a genuine case hence otherwise again i've to go to CONSUMER FORUM

      With reference to my previous e-mails dtd. 14.1.10 & 23.1.10 regarding the complaint of the defective EXIDE S F PBX 1350 battery & your subsequent reply dtd. 15.1.10 & 23.1.10 in which you have mentioned that the battery is tested & found to be in proper condition.

      Further we have taken the delivery of the same on 24.1.10 from your service centre in Hubli & started using only to find the same problem as earlier within a short period. So we again brought the problem under the notice of the dealer SG TECHNOLOGIES, HUBLI several times in these months, but of no use.
      As the battery is shut down completely we cannot understand the problem because such a product of your reputed make should not perform in such manner. We are facing lot of problems & inconvenience without the use of inverter. Therefore kindly look into the matter & what can you do in such a condition to solve the problem. Expecting a quick solution in the matter at your earliest.

        It is highly unfortunate to narrate the horrific experience we had from the ill behaved & rude executives of Exide service care at Ghaziabad.
        We purchased two Exide invatubular Gold batteries for residential use, (supposed to be the best available after assurance from dealer, priced almost 3 times the normal batteries ) .we chose for the most expensive batteries available just to have peace of mind as they carried replacement warranty for 3 years.(INVOICE NO 44 DATED 19-04-08,)
        Just almost a year later the batteries started dying out within half an hour o[censored]sage .after multiple complaints , Our battery has been send thrice in just last 6 months bec of complaints & returned back saying that it is very normal in function.On repeated request a company service engineer was called at our home , HE NOTICED & MENTIONED IN HIS REPORT THAT AFTER FULL CHARGE THE BATTERY IS DYING WITHIN 10 MIN. (JOB NO 6474, DATED[protected].We sent back the battery to exide service centre along with the report of EXIDE's service engineer that battery is not working.After few Days we were again told that battery is fine & we can take it back .whats more shocking is the highly uncalled ,rude & arrogant response from the senior executives (Mr.Ashwini ).He asked us to purchase a local battery as exides battery are like this only !!!!!
        Can They please explain the following If my battery is fine:
        1. WHY a local back up battery gives a normal back up on same set up.after paying three times the price why should anyone go for exide batteries at all.

        2.why & how can they deny their own service engineers report that said battery is not even running for 10 min. what was the point then in sending thier service eng & wasting time & resources.

        3.is there any quality assurance & measures as towards the staff behavior towards customer or EXIDE AS A COMPANY IS TOO ARROGANT FOR THAT.

        4.what measures are left other than going to consumer courts like this & employing lawyers to sort the issues out.

        Hope my suffering cathches the top heads fo Exide Mangement(who I am sure are un aware of the customers ordeal)

          I have purchased a new exide battery IN 1800 PLUS FROM YOURS AUTHORIZED DEALER JEE JAY ENTERPRISES AT POOJA SCHOOL MARKET PIPLI (KURUKSHETRA) IN JUNE 2008.WHICH HAS GONE TO DEFUNCT AFTER 14 MONTHS I COMPLAINED ITS TO YOUR'S ABOVE SAID DEALER HE TOOK THE SALE BILL OF BATTERY FROM ME AND BATTERY SEND FOR REPLACEMENT AFTER THIS DURING THE PERIOD OF FIVE MONTHS.HE DOES NOT RETURN BATTERY TO ME HE AVERTED TO ME REPEATEDALY IN EVERY VISIT TO HIS SHOP.
          AFTER 5 MONTHS HE HAS PLACED AN OLD BATTERY AT MY RESIDANCE IN MY ABSENCE,WHOSE SR.NO.             i have purchased a passion pro moter cycle from hero honda showroom SAMTA AUTOMOBILES sonipat haryana in feb.2010. after purchase of bike in july2010 the bike battery becomes non functional . when i talked to EXIDE BATTERY DEALER ASHOKA BATTERIES in sonipat about defective battery which was under warrenty taken 40 Rs.& taken 10 dayes for maintance of battery. my queery is why the dealer taken 40 Rs. for maintance of a warrenty period battery.i want clerification from EXIDE BATTERIES. otherwise i will go to consumer court.

                I had buy a car in October 2008 & my car battery is creating problem from Jan 2010 As the dealer is not putting proper water in battery in service.

                Nov Today 15 Aug 2010 my battery is dead as per their saying And they are refuse for warranty as they are saying my car in driven more than 40000 kms & warranty laps after.

                Kinldy suggest what i have to do As this is correct or not.

                  I have purchased Inverter battery No. 369W3421603C9, (PATPO13495) In 1500 Plus on book no.14, Sr. No-672 dt-27/06/2009 from Ram Lal Cycle & Electronics, 1092 / 1, Near Bus Terminal, Mehrauli, N.D.-30. . That battery was not working from day one of installation & the same was communicated to the shop keeper. After intimation shop keeper taken back for repair the same from company with assurance that the battery was ok and never create problem in future. After 15 days to one month the same problem I faced and again I send the battery to shop keeper on Jan 10. I got the battery on march 10 & within 10 days the same problem i faced. Again i send the battery on march 2010 & make follow up till now to got the replacement of battery with shop keeper & exide official Mr. Kalla & Mr. Varma but i have not getting the replacement of battery till now. Therefore I request you please help me to resolve my problem

                  Exide Invertor Battery Plus — Replacement of Battery

                  Dera Sir,

                  I had bought 2 Batteries of Exide from Exide Authorised Distibutor at Etawah (Five Star Engineer Works, Agra Road, Pakka Talab Etawah) on dt. 03.07.2008. After 5 months I faced a problem that the lights was very dim and there were some leakage from the batteries. When I called to dealer he send a person and he checked the batteries and said that your batteries are ok. Again I faced the same problem and again I complaint to the dealer. The person came and checked and said that your battery is ok invertor have some problem.

                  After this I called to invetor mechanic and checked the invertor but invertor was ok. All these things are going on 18 months. On the 18 Month and 5 days the person came and took the batteries with us and came after 2-3 days and said that your 1 battery is dead, I told him that replace it then he said that the free replacement is within 18 months after purchasing date.

                  He gave me the assurance that he will talk with the company and will replace the battery but still he has not replace it.

                    Dear All,

                    I am Venkadesh S. I bought a new battery as my existing battery is not working and it gave me a sufficient life to withstand but the new battery which i bought it on 15/09/2009 in KHIVRAJ AUTOMOBILES PVT LTD No 623 Anna salai Chennai - 6 (Bill No: KA-SVI9014458) from the day 1 till now which gave me a regular irritation as it is not worked properly from the date till today i left my vehicle for maintenence for six more times and they taken a time of ten days to resolve it and right now i am in need of new battery as a customer i waited for such a long time. Now i dont want the same battery as the acid is not good and even last time it went to Exide industry in chennai and they changed the acid and gave me back the same battery which caused me a problem and again the battery in the testing place in chennai. As i already tested with my local mechanic and with the service advisor in Khivraj which is defective piece. So kindly arrange me a new one and pls look forward my complaint. Please do the needful.

                    Dear Sir
                    I am a resident of C-116, ground flr, Mayfield Gardens sector 50, Gurgaon 122001, Haryana, India. I have purchased your product EXIDE CIEL 500+ batteries 2 units on dated 3/09/2010 from the dealer: Krishan battries and auto electric works, opp Metro pillar no 61, DLF Mehrauli Gurgaon Road, Sikanderpur, Gurgaon, Ph:[protected].
                    on date 25/05/2011 it has a complaint under warranty in 2 of 1 battery one is showing 12 volts and the other one showing 8 volts.

                    On date 28/04/2011 two man from the Exide service dealer, JAI BHARAT DISTRIBUTOR, shop no. 2 opp. Payal Cinema Hall, old Delhi Road, Sec. 14, Gurgaon. took away the battery without giving any complaint no. form my residence, says he will deliver the battery after 2 days I called there 20 times every day he says we will deliver your battery today and tomorrow its on charging but there is no result for the last 4 days, he hasn't come till date 1/06/2011, this is a menace about the EXIDE COMPANY LTD.

                    there is a frequent failure of electricity at our place, there is no electricity hole night, that is why i purchase a 1400 VA ups and two Exide batteries for the betterment. We had been suffering terribly for the last 4 days because of that man at Jai bharat distributor (Mr. Sharma)

                    How come a battery will give you 12volts if it is showing 8volts, how can you make it possible.

                    I will never buy any EXIDE product again, and suggest others not to buy, if I don't get a replacement. look into the matter and resolve it sooner.

                      I have purchased an Exide Inva Tubular Battery no.005523 few months ago but after some time the backup of the battery reduced to zeero.I have complaint about this deffect to the dealer in Etawah and he took the battery from me in the month of Mar.2010 but he did not return my battery till dated 28.05.2010,then I complaint him in written on 28.05.2010.Till now no action has been taken against my complaint neither I have recieved the battery.Kindly suggest me what to do?

                        Dear Sir/Madam,

                        I bought Exide Battery (12 v, 14 lb) bearing Sl No. 2I9634997 on Jan 11, 2010 from Narendar Automobiles (No.927, 28th Main, 41st Cross, 9th Block, Jayanagar, Bangalore - 69) through Royal Enfield, Jayanagar, Bangalore.

                        Battery Problem starting date : July 3, 2010
                        Service done (completely charged) in : Royal Enfield Service station, Jayanagar

                        After that, I returned the battery to Narendar Automobiles with the warranty card on 5th July 2010. Till now no action has been taken. I am getting a vague reply and very bad response from both the Royal enfield and Narendar Automobiles.

                        hey dude i am facing the same problem in delhi.i had amaron battery for royal enfield electra 5s.the battery got discharged so i got recharged.it worked for sometime but then it completely stopped charging.so as we all know amaron gives five year warranty.i gave my battery to the dealer from where i purchased it..and it has been approx a month that i havnt got any reply or any news about the battery...i just hate it, , we customers don't get any after sale services...the warranty is name sake..totally i say..

                        And when i visited to service person he refuse to Help me out
                        My IMEI code he told me that yopur battery is under Warranty but he must need warranty card.
                        So please help me out

                          Dear sir,
                          I purchased Exide inverter battery (IT 500-IC9-20258c) on 14th APL 2009 from “SHAKSHI ENTERPRISES” Betiahata Gorakhpur. “SHAKSHI ENTERPRISES” got it from S.S.TRADERS Betiahata Gorakhpur the authorized dealer of EXIDE.

                          Since the battery was unable to function even in winters so after many complaints it was finally taken by MS “SHAKSHI ENTERPRISES on 15th March 2010 without any replacement & got serviced by S.S.Traders, the authorized dealer of EXIDE & given to me on 15th April 2010.

                          After one day it again failed so on the advice of MS “SHAKSHI ENTERPRISES" I changed the inverter & purchased IGBT 850 VA Kevin inverter at a cost of Rs 5000/-
                          But again the world famous EXIDE TUBLAR was unsuccessful.

                          In the mean time someone from Exide Varanasi told me to redeposit the battery to S.S.TRADERS but due to cardiac problems I was able to deposit the battery on June 28, 2010 again without replacement of service battery. Its present backup time is only 15 to 25 minutes for two fans only.

                          Can it be replaced at the earliest without giving me more pain for believing in EXCIDES?

                            Purchased Inva Gold 500 Exide Battery on[protected] with 36 months warranty from M/s DigitalPower Enterprises. One Cell of Battery became defective within a period of 20 months and battery is not giving
                            backup more than 15 minutes.Please look into the matter to enable me to get replaced above Battery.

                              I have purchased a battery ( ZOOM EXIDE ) for Scooty Pap from M/s Rajesh Auto Centre, Sector 2 AMarket, Bhilai, Chhattisgarh on 07.06.2009.The battery did not give expected performance due to manufacturing defect & ultimately become non functional during the warranty period.
                              It was returned to the above dealer on 17.04.2010 for replacement under warranty claim. The case was followed-up vigorously but ultimately today he declined the request on the ground that the company is not honoring the warranty and refusing replacement. This is unexpected and unbecoming for a standard company like Exide.
                              You are requested to please advise the dealer ( Under intimation to me) for immediately replacing the battery, as I am not able to use my vehicle resulting in heavy financial loss and physical strain.

                              Purchased a new battery for my UPS. But, soon after few couple of months I found it drained and not even ready to be recharged. It seems there must be some manufacturing defect with this particular product as it has been misshaped.

                                My Car battery no 2C71 25568 707 was not working properly, therefore I visited the Rishabh batteries, authorised dealer 15/6 geeta colony, Patpar Road, Delhi 110031 for its inspection. He suggested me to replace the old battery with the new one with Rs. 500 discount on this purchase.

                                Then, I planned to replace the battery with new Exide battery 38B 20LMF ATB 04346 , but when I refered Exide Warranty booklet as per it my old battery was between 31 - 33 months so I am liable to recieve 40% discount on the new purchase of the battery which is approximately Rs. 1440. When I mentioned the same thing to the Dealer he didnt entertained me properly and with a very callous attitude. Also, refused to pay my liable discount amount.

                                I regret to say that your authorised dealer is destroying your reputation.
                                I am afraid if the my money is not returned, I have no other option but to approach the consumer forum.

                                From my point of view

                                There may be a little misunderstanding to you.

                                I am sure you have seen the warranty card of New Battery which you have purchased recently.

                                As per my knowledge EXIDE has increased their warranty of ATB Series Batteries form Three Year (18+18Months) to Four Years (24+24Months) on battery manufactured after Jan 2008.

                                But yours was manufactured in March 2007.

                                So therefore plz verify it from your old/actual warranty Card of the Battery.

                                The picture is very clear you had got the Correct scrap value of your OLD Battery from the dealer.

                                consumer forum will not hear any thing unless you provide Original warranty card of your old Battery With Sale Bill.

                                  2.Battery No.16033

                                  We are having problem with backup, so we send the batteries through by

                                  BMPS Transport,
                                  LR No.838545-2,
                                  COURIER DTDC No: T39248363

                                  by date[protected]. We send this to Secunderabad head office.

                                  There is no reply or intimation from the head office. They didn't replaced the batteries yet. So, please we want the replacement of batteries.

                                  purchased ups from Consul Consolidated Pvt Ltd along with 20 nos. of Excide battries almost one year back. Now, the Battaries are NOT giving Back up. The said supplier is advised to replace all 20 Battries immediately.
                                  We presume : EXCIDE BATTARIES are all WORST. We are thinkling of buying NEW Battaries of some other make. Please suggest.

                                    I am M.P.Sharma purchase a Battery Model is 6EL130+ from Dealer Bharat Automobiles, Bistupur, Jamshedpur & they gave me a Claim No :-4186, Date :-15.04.10. Battery sl.no.:-93178. My battery not worked properly & dont took give proper backup. So i gave the battery to the Dealer & they Send the Battery nearest Exide Service Station. But till date they dont give us any report & i m suffering many problem without battery in my home.

                                      This Battery Was purchased from tara tech akola Throu Suprime Electronices Ranpise Nagar AKola But in Aug 2009 battery Was not working properly dealer inspected the battery and send to exide services station at nagpur then 11/09/2009 the battery return from service center. Report of service center was battery found ok and returned and and that time we demand to dealer our original bill and warrenty card to dealer but card and bill was miss placed by the dealer now our battery is not working properly again the dealer refused to send the battery to service station due to miss placed a warrenty card and bill by dealer. So kindly replace the battery and take some necessary action.

                                      I had received customer vehicle new Battery of Exide model( 2D[protected]C[protected]V-L2 60Ah 600A)(EN) on 03/Nov/2012

                                      This Battery Was fitted by Exide co. from Renault OEM at Chennai But Nov 2012 battery Was not working properly we had inspected the battery and send to exide services station at THE BAT SHOP (ISHAAN ENTERPRISE) Opp, Naranpura Post office, Naranpura-13, Ahmedabad, then 12/12/2012 the battery return from service center. Report of service center battery want to charge & the charge will paid to us for charging test.and that time we had submitted all demanded to dealer our original bill and warranty details to dealer but by EXIDE dealer could not give proper response to us & they are told us without payment we will not provide service. The person again the dealer refused to send the battery to our workshop. We get confirm first that The Battery second no. cell is failed So why should the EXIDE dealer not provide service & Why should we paid the charging amount? Kindly replace the battery and take some necessary action against this.

                                        The owner of this store gave me a 5 KVA UPS and told me that it was working well. After I started working with my computers, the UPS started failing from the very first day. I called him every day and he didnt even showup once. Never buy anything from him. His name is Vedaprakash, and known as Prakash. I dont think he has a dealership of Exide batteries, though there is "Exide" showing up in the name....
