Sir,

I have purchased an EXIDE battery for HERO HONDA SPLENDOR on 20/08/08. It has a GAURANTEE coverage of 1 year (from the date of purchase). The battery has been serviced twice since I have purchased it & each time, I was being detailed that battery needs to be send to the facory for checking. Instead, it was being re - charged and installed back in the motor cycle. The battery works for 1 or 1& a half months & again gets fully discharged. The second time when it got discharged (on 24/03/09), I was assured by the seller that next time if it get discharged, we will change the battery without sending it for a check. Today, on 21/04/09, when it has got discharged again (the third time), the seller is not changing the battery and asking it to hand over it again to him so that he can send it to the company's workshop for checkup. EXIDE/Battery — Battery not changed even under guarantee !

Sir,

I have purchased an EXIDE battery for HERO HONDA SPLENDOR on 20/08/08. It has a GAURANTEE coverage of 1 year (from the date of purchase). The same problem i am facing with my new Exide battery i bought it one and half months back and i had recharged it four times till now. I went to the seller and he took my battery 20 days back and sent it to the company.

Till now i didn't received my battery back. As and when i ask the seller he says we are waiting for the battery from company. Can anyone suggest me a solution for this.

    i had purchased this battery(exide inverter plus IN 1350 PLUS) on 22/04/2007 from royal international, birati, kolkata. After about 16 months it started giving less backup. In recent days during powercuts it runs for barely 1.5 hrs with only 1 fan and 1 light running. It should be running 6 points for about 4 hrs minimum. the royal international has closed its services. so i would request you to offer us a proper service of the battery.

    yes i agree with him.
    Perhaps the supplier of inverter or the battery dealer are not educating the customers on maintenance,

    i purchased the inverter with Exide 135plus in june 2008 and was giving good back up till OCT 2011.

    in the first week of november, it started giving back up for only one hour, calling the dealer from where the battery was supplied, said that you have to change the battery and you have not maintain the battery by keeping the eye on the float on the liquid level .

    at the time of supply, the dealer said, it is a maintenance free battery and you need not do any thing . even the float 6 nos supplied along with the battery was kept in side the casing and was opened by the technician and gave the demo after purchase of 3 years . where as my friends and relatives are using the local make of similar type even after four years with regular check up working and keep the back up .

    what a huge cost, that some one has to pay for learning the maintenance of the battery . same way you would have been taken for a ride by the company or dealer .
    there is no instruction also given in the carton box ( luckily, i am still having the carton box)

    It would be great if the consumer was educated as to the ways batteries are made. A 2 year battery is only good for a max. of 2 years if you do regular maintenace and are lucky. 3 yrs, 5 years batteries the same. The more charges and discharges the less battery life time.
    This exide IN1350 plus is not a good battery over long term.
    I had bought one in 2010 and in 3 years its gone blank completely, inspite of regular refills etc.
    Actually when they say its maintenance free why theres a need to add water etc to it periodically?

    Nwayz its not value for money, plus the dealer tells me the cost after exchange of my old battery with new one would be 11k which is too high.

      Dear Sir,
      I have purchased a 12 volt IT 500 Exide battery (Batch No IE 6 & Serial No 089041) from Exide Care, M/s Burdwan Battery House, G T Road, Burdwan on 06.11.2006, covering a warranty for 30 months supplied with Luminous Inverter vide cash memo No 978. Right from February 2008 the battery starts giving problem and on verbal complain authorized person from M/s Burdwan Battery House took away the battery on 05.03.2008 for repairing. Within 10 days they returned the battery to me. After January 2009 the battery started showing same problem i.e. battery is getting discharged within 5 minutes after full charge. I have reported M/s Burdwan Battery House once again and 2nd time they took away the battery on 06.02.2009 and after 15 days they returned it but this time the problem remained unsolved till today. I have talked to them either over phone or in person several times but M/s Burdwan Battery House has not taken any initiative till date (03.04.2009). Mention to be made further that they have also checked the Inverter and found no problem with it.
      Please take the necessary step at an early date at least for the sake of my 7month old daughter in hot summer days.

      It is intemented that i sukhbeer singh aligarh have been purchased an exide tubler battery IT 500
      invoice no1389 on 14/)6/2008 from sunil battery service G.T. Road Aligarh with an warranty of 30 months
      now the battery is not functioning on enquiring with dealer he replied to approch direct to the manufacturer therefore you are requested to take necessary actionand direct to dealer for replace repair of battery at the earliest. to avoid further legal correspondence.

        actually sir/madam, i had purchased a xcd bike on 16 january 2008 after half year passed i got a problem in the battery of the bike, at last when the battery give me so much trouble, i deposited the battery in exide battery dealer on 12 january, 2009, i got a battery reciept from there also(reciept no. 14994), now the company has send me two times replaceable old batteries which are already having a same problems, then i personelly contact mr davinder who is working in a company in jalandhar, he never me give good response, his cell no. is [protected], please sir check all this matter,

        sir, i purchesed battery for my indica car in chennai, EXIDE max... dated 25/10/2008 invoice no 17712, the dealer name is EBC adyar, no 62, besant av road, adyar, chennai-20... they given .one year warranty.. the problem is battery bulging both side, and its getting discharged every two days, and one side cell is totaly drying everyday after i am filling water... so thay not responding always... we are using only exide brand of battery for past 17 years, so you do needfull... thanking you

          Hi,

          We had purchased Exide Traction Battery (model No. 24TLF17, 48V 443Ah) in MAY'08, With in two month it has shown poor back, so i complained to the dealer.This is to bring for your kind remembrance for our forklift As after two months later from the implementation of battery, we are continuously facing the problems in battery some of which is like that the battery is not charging well or the back-up problems, etc. As while going through the complaint we had made so many calls to Mr. Satishji and always he persuaded to us. So then we are writing this complaint to you and requesting you to please look out after that.
          In this regard i want your help. So please guide me in right way.

            I have purchased aExide Inva Tubular battery in April 2008 from Hardoi but within 10 month battery back reduced by 70% which is worst than a local battery then what is the purpose to buy a original battery of brands like EXIDE and investing 12000 rs. as i am transferred from Hardoi to sitapur then plz inform with the detail from where and how i can get the problem served in sitapur as battery is under warranty

            Dear Shri Vikramanshu Thakur,
            The battery back-up time depends on charging time and the load current. In places like Sitapur and Hardoi the power supply is available for 10 to 12 hours, which is not sufficient for full charge, with a branded Inverter. Branded Inverters like Luminous or Su-kam charge in steps, reducing charging current as battery gets charged. For Back-up time see the C20 rating on the Battery, in Ampre Hours. Divide this AH rating by 20 to get the current in Amp at which battery will give a backp of 20 Hrs. Suppose you get 7.5 Amp. If you double the current Drawn the backup will not get half, i.e. 10 hrs but may be 6 hrs. The relation is not linear but as load is incresed backup time reduces drastically.
            The Battery will be serviced at Lucknow. You get address from Dealer in Hardoi.

            i purchased exide invatubular in the year 2008 from exide dealer in darbhanga but last year in nov. it suddenly discharged and couldnot get charged.I complained about the problem but it couldnot be resolved kindly suggest what i should do.

              Hi,

              I battery is not working since 3 months and inspite of several calls made to dealer there is no service provide by him. Please take necessary steps to repair the battery or get it replaced. The battery is still in the guarantee period. Its really sad that Indian consumer has to face all this issues, even though Exide is a good brand. Some of my friends are using Local batteries but still are satisfied with the services provided by their company.

              I Mr. Mahendra Singh serving as Accounts Manager at SecureSynergy in Delhi. Presently I am residing at Allahabad, Naini. I had gifted a Hero Honda Pleasure Scooty to my younger sister in the month of January 09. Everything is working fine except for the EXIDE battery. It has caused me so much pain till then that I am regretting my purchase of the scooty. I had visited the EXIDE service center and Khana motors (Hero Honda Dealer). The EXIDE service center people said that they have stopped accepting the claims of battery problems from Khana Motors. And Khana motors people said that they do not take care of the battery problems. I am confused and very annoyed by this kind of service after sale. Your assistance in this regard is highly appreciated to rectify the issue.

              This is with reference that I was purchased new battery of EXIDE from M/S Rich Life Services in koramangala 8th block Bangalore-560 095, on last Feb-2009 for my Hero Honda Splender + bike. From past 3 days it is not charging itself p[roperly & went to the above dealers along with purchased bill+ warrenty certificate ensuring with battery service engineer that one of the cell inside the battery is lost its functioning & showed me in person. Immediately I rushed to the dealers & informed the fact & they also fully co-operated in this regard. But I my-self get upset when I furnised all the details thay fail to replace the new OR exchange good one.7 ask to come after 2 days? I literally get annoide my self that even wasting my time about an hour+my time+conveyance nearly 12 to 14 kms distance. Why these type of trouble given by the company to the customer? And also why you people won't give freedom for sreplacement to another battery? How to componsate these losses for one small battery for my two wheller? This is how your service motto towards customer, Mean time without battery how to run my vechicle without horn & indicator? suppose if I met with an accident who responsible for this due to
              no horn & indicator especially in night. Pl clarify these issue & give your plan of action in this regard.

              Secondly I your mutturaj who is godown in-charge also not able to take responsibility for replacement& asking dealer to send to factory for inspection & replacement, This is how your team will work? I don't now in this globalisation still you will follow the very old system may be around 10 years back what you are adopted. Anyway I want to slove this immediately & I request you to bear my conveyances along the new battery with good one.

              Kindly suggest me the perfect battery for my Microtek inverter 800 VA
              I had bought an Exide batteries from Tamanna Batteries gurgaon on 14 april 2012 , the said battery is not working and Tamanna Batteries has behaved rudely . I am going to consumer court on this issue as i am not aware whom to contact in exide co.

              I have bought exide battery for my invertor and battery is in exide service station from the last 4 months I have spoken all the concern peoples but no one resolved the problems and this is very redicules service by exide battery dealership and I am fed up from this harresment from them we gives 2 to 3 lakhs rupees of bussines to them every 3 to 4 month I am General Manager of automobile dealership company and totaly harresed from these peoples from last few month. I have spoken Mr Avesti [protected] he has given words to me a favour but still...not. then spoken with rahul bhardwaj [protected] but no responce still... complaint no. NHHO[protected]. and 3 time I went jai bharat and also they deney for replacement my batteries. Now batteries is with Shivam Batteries from last 24/5/12. but no response. Is this the logic that your response Is anyone is resposible for me to reply. Else I will go to cunsumer court for this concern

                An Inverter Battery Exploded

                I had used an exide invertor battery which exploded and the company refuses to replace the same nor is it willing to give it in writing. The battery was less than 3 months old. I wish to connect with persons who have had the same fate as me to take the matter to its logical conclusion collectively. The warranty card does not educate the users properly and explicitly and I do not wish anyone to come to harms way since a lot of persons actually...

                Dear Sir,

                I purchased Exide Battery on 24 July 06, from Balajee Motors, Bathinda (Punjab) against the Bill No.1825 with in first year it has shown poor backup, so i complained to the dealer. He kindly accepted my request took away my battery for servicing. I insisted dealer to Replace the old battery with a new battery as the old battery was not working properly, as the battery condition was accepted by the dealer.. So the dealer replaced the battery in the month of September 2008 after a gap of 2 month period as the battery was within guarantee period. After that the replaced battery was also not properly working, many times informed the dealer, he always sent his mechanic with me and he always blamed that your inverter is faulty. So I got checked by inverter and which was found in order. By that time winter started so we didn't have any choice to test backup. But dealer assured us at least 6 hrs (two fans & two lights) backup will be given by the battery, recently i got know it is giving hardly 2. hr backup, which we can't expect from a branded company. In this regard again informed the dealer and he checked the battery and confirmed me that battery is faulty and the battery is not charging properly and suggested me to install me new battery as this battery can not be replaced again.

                But in this regard I do not under stand my fault as the battery has not given me proper work even for the 18 months, how ever the life of the battery is generally claimed my the companied is 36 months. So I request you to look in the matter, other wise I will be forced to lodge my claim in the Consumer Form.

                I purchased exide battery during May 2008 from MK Electricals, Muzaffarpur Bihar. Now my battery is taking charge contineusouly and not given indication of full charging. HIs backup is also reduce from 5 to 1 or 1.5 hours. Our battery is in guarntee period. I have consulted with the dealer where we purchased battery and he has advised me that your battery have been deep discharges and need to be charge in charging point.

                Now I request you to kindly advise me what I do in this situation.

                      EXIDE BATTERY NOT CHARGING BUT SERVICE ENGINEER MAKE US FOOL ON ONE PRETEXT OR OTHER

                      Dear Sir,
                      I have lodged the complaint to the authorities of EXIDE BATTERY that I have purchased the said battery on 11th Feb 2008. It's not at all giving proper back up and it is not getting charged.

                      On my several requests the Service Engineer Mr. Mohit[protected] called me at my Mobile Number[protected] and told me that your Exide Invertor Battery IN 1500 Plus is ready and its report is O.K. You please get the delivery of the Battery from Ravindera Motor Garage, The Exide dealer of Phagwara. When I reached to get the delivery of the Battery the dealer demanded Rs. 150/- for charging of battery as per his version that the battery has needed deep Charging. I said that I am ready to pay the amount but kindly issue me the Payment receipt. But the dealer was not intersted to issue the receipt as he said that we don't issue the receipt of any kind. Then I made a call to Mr. Mohit on[protected]. He negotiated and directed me to pay Rs. 50/-. I said I am ready to pay but the receipt of the payment kindly be issued. Then the battery as is where is basis had been delivered to me.

                      Today on 29th Jan 2009 Mr. Narinder Singh Visited my office. I narrated the story and said him that check the battery as it is installed at my house. He said it is a fault of your Invertor. I said the same invertor and the same make the same battery is fitted at my office. Kindly shift the battery to my office and check with the invertor of my office. The Exide battery shifted to my office and the office's battery was taken to my house. On testing it was cleared that the same invertor which had been charging the battery fitted at my office fail to do the necessary job. Then again the drama of one pretext or other started. O.K. We shall see later on what is the problem.

                      Sir, A Service Engineer named Mohit (Exide Battery Service, Jalandhar Pb) is not accomodating and I reported the matter to you earlier as well. I admit he has the powers designated more than Almighty as he is trying to prove. Whether we should consider him and pray for him and listen to his unnecessary arguments. WHY HE IS TRYING TO BEFOOL US. WHETHER WE SHOULD PRAY TO GOD FOR JUSTICE OR KEEP ON PRAYING TO EXIDE OFFICIALS WHO CONTINUE TO HARASS PUBLIC AND WILL REPEATEDLY SAY THAT THE FAULT IS AT YOUR INVERTER NOT IN BATTERY. WHETHER YOUR SERVICE ENGINEER HAS SHORT SIGHTED PROBLEM OR WE ARE SO FOOL THAT WE ARE MAKING CRY FOR THE LAST SO MANY MONTHS.

                      WHETHER THIS TORTURE WILL END SOMEDAY OR NOT? WHAT IS THE FUN TO PLACE NUMBER OF COMPLAINTS.

                      KINDLY LET ME KNOW WHAT SHOULD I DO AS I AM REALLY FINDING MYSELF IN A REAL HELPLESS STATE.

                      Further to my E-mail message sent to you. On 27th Jan 2009, I got a call from[protected] at 10:04 AM at my Mobile Number[protected]. As I could not attend as my Cell Phone was lying at home and I was in office. Then that Gentleman called me at my office Phone[protected]. He talked with me and noted my contents and assured me to provide service.

                      On 27th Jan 2009 at 2:23 PM I got a call from [protected]. The gentleman enquired the matter and assured me that the Service Engineer will call you.

                      On 27th Jan 2009 at 3:17 I got a call from [protected], the calling gentleman enquired the matter and assured me that the Service Engineer wil call you as at present he is in Kapurthala. He said that he has instructed to the Service Engineer, on reaching Phagwara he will call you.

                      On 27th Jan 2009 at 4:29 PM got a call from Jalandhar Contact Number:[protected] the calling person misbehaved with me. The conversation is as under:

                      1. Calling Service Engineer:Qusestion to me: Whether you have complained regarding defective Battery of Exide.
                      Madhok (My self): Yes, I have reported the matter.
                      2. Service Engineer: Have you submitted the Purchase bill and Waranttee Card to the dealer.
                      Madhok: No, I have not submitted.
                      3. Service Engineer: Why not?
                      Madhok: Sir, it is no where mentioned that the Purchase voucher and Warantee card in original will have to be submitted for getting the Sevice. Secondly all the records have been in the company's record as well. As at the time of puchase on part of Warantee card (The pull out portion), the dealer used to keep with him. The Sale voucher is available with the dealer. I have mentioned the date of purchase and it has been written on the Battery with BALL POINT PEN which has been lying with the dealer. The complete biodata of the sale and warantee card can be traced out from the company's record.

                      4. Service Enginer: Your warantee has been lapsed as you failed to prove the Purchase of the said battery and Warantee Vourhcers.
                      Madhok: Sir, What is the solution now? Your battery can not get entry in our Sevice Station without the submission of Purchase voucher and Waranttee card.

                      5. Madhok: Sir, it means if a child can not prove that he is the son of this mother or father then the parents have no responsibility for upkeep and can shatter his responsibilities to someone else.
                      Service Engineer: We are not responsible, to provide service.

                      Sir, I am impressed with the service EXIDE BATTERY OFFICIALS ARE PROVIDING. Thanks for the prompt response and the service provided by Exide Battery.

                      Thank you Sir, I shall lift my battery from the dealer today as is where is basis. thanks for your Customer friedly behaviour. May God bless you all and you continue to provide such a good service to the customers.

                      Kindly send me the copy of rules and regulations framed by the Central or State Govt. under the Waranttee Clause. As warantee of my Battery has been lapsed it might be according to the rules framed by the Govt. guidelines. I shall be obliged to get your early response at the earliest.

                      Sir, I purchased Exide Battery due to its reputation. But the fact is that your sevice Engineer and officials know everything and dodze the customer on one pretext or other. WHICH IS DEFICIENCY IN SERVICE.

                      Kindly send me the copy of Conditions framed by Govt. under the Consumer Protection Act 1986 (Amended).

                      Why not the Exide Battery admit that there is a manufacturing defect in the battery. Why the customer is being harassed. Why the questioning is made on the customer. What is customer's fault. Whether the service station officials are directed to misbehave with the customers and in this way the company wil delegate its responsibilities on the customer's failure to provide documents. Where it is mentioned that the customer has to submit the documents in original to the Service Engineer to entertain the complaint. If he fails to do then there is no responsibility of service provider.

                      I request you to please favour me by providing the "Adequate battery Sale & Service conditions rules and regulations"

                      Kindly provide the detail about the average battery life of Exide Invertor IN 1500 PLUS Battery.

                      Sir, this is due to sheer negligence from ur end. Should I aproach to the authorities for getting justice and claim compensation for the mental and physical torture by EXIDE OFFICIALS.

                      Due to the negligence of Exide officials and Service Engineers We are suffering from complete black out during night and most of our light connections are not working due to the connections with batter-invertor. As we are living and our nights are dip dark, the Exide officials are playing with our sentiments and making the mockery of our pleadings.

                      This is ust to inform you the kind of servie Exide Owners are getting from your service providers need major improvements. I understand that satisfying all the customers is not easy task, but the basics of the Service Provider should be addressed properly as on depending on your service. As with Invertor-Battery mishappening like theft and getting hurt due darkness can not be avoided. So, kindly be kind enough to provide the service as per the rules framed by the Govt. under Consumer Protection Act, 1986 (Amended).

                      I had purchased a new Exide battery from Ravindera Auto Engg. Works, Phagwara in Feb 2008. Let me confess that I feel myself miserable as I have purchased the battery of a reputed company of India and now the company's dealer and officials are not cooperating and not giving the service as promised at the time of sale of the product. Why not the Company like Exide care for the credibility of the company and its management.

                      The comments are sought by the company officials what to do at this stage as said battery is within warantee period. From the two months of its purchase the said battery started giving trouble as it was not charging enough to produce desired electricity output in case of power cut.

                      After complaining this to the dealer M/s. Ravindera Auto Engg. Works who has been adviced to replace the said battery with company we handed over the same to him.

                      We have done several followups and reminders and every time we get one or other excuse. The brother has gone to Delhi. He will come back and after wards the battery will be checked, this or that.

                      Such type of excuses mar the company's reputation as well as of the dealer who continues to make this or that excuse.

                      i'm having Exide 1500 Plus inverter battery manufacturing date may, 2008.
                      i'm facing the same backup problem by my battery and also the dealer is not giving proper response to our problem. first he's saying the fault is in our inverter but later we get to know that the inverter is all fine and the main problem is with the battery.

                      i'm not getting what to do now, as all o[censored]s having Exide 1500 plus battery, getting the same back-up problem. What i want is:-
                      THE COMPANY MUST COMPENSATE and either replace battery or give our money back.

                        Detail of complaint: Above battery was purchased to use for house hold inverter (Microteck 800VA). After
                        about 11 months (i.e. With in Warranty Period) o[censored]se, the battery was found malfunctioning and it was not able to give back up during power failure. The battery was then taken to above authorised dealer, from whom battery was purchased, for free replacement as per terms of warranty. The Authorised dealer kept the battery with him and informed me that the same will be checked at his end. After retaining the battery for one week the dealer informed me that the battery was ok & there was no problem with the battery and suggested me that there may be problem in my inverter, which needs to be repaired. Then I took back the battery and tried to get the inverter checked / repaired. The service technician for inverter, available at Bongaigaon, kept the inverter for one week for checking, but he was unable to detect any defect with the inverter. Then the technician informed that it is beyond his capacity to find out defect, if any, due to non availability of proper instrument with him, and he suggested that the inverter should be sent to Guwahati for proper checking / repair if required. Accordingly he sent the inverter to service centre at Guwahati. The inverter after proper checking at Guwahati was received back by me after another 15-20 days, informing me that the inverter was OK. But strangely, on fitting the inverter with the above battery, it was found that the battery was still not giving the back up during power failure. The battery was further checked by me by connecting another good / working inverter of my friend to the battery, which reconfirmed malfunctioning of the battery. By this process the warranty period of 12 months had just elapsed. The matter was immediately brought to the notice of the above AUTHORISED DEALER and he was informed about the non functioning condition of the battery since its first time returning to him during the warranty period. He than agreed with the fact that the battery was not OK since the time of its initial returning to him, but refused to replace the battery telling that warranty period had just elapsed by that time and he needs to talk to the company for action towards replacement. All the time of asking him about the status, he informed me that he could not talk to Company due to one reason or other and asked me to enquire later. After about one more month of doing so, finally he informed me that nothing can be done since warranty period is over.
                        This is very much disgusting situation, as by purchasing product from a very reputed company like EXIDE BATTERY, we are put to suffer a grave situation like this. This is clear cut situation of misleading and cheating by above AUTHORISED DEALER.

                          EXIDE BATTERY INVA 1500 PLUS NOT GETTING CHARGED. AFTER SALES SERVICE SHOULD BE MADE AS PROMISED TO MAINTAIN REPUTATION.

                          I had purchased a new Exide battery from Ravindera Auto Engg. Works, Phagwara in Feb 2008. Let me confess that I feel myself miserable as I have purchased the battery of a reputed company of India and now the company's dealer and officials are not cooperating and not giving the service as promised at the time of sale of the product. Why not the Company like Exide care for the credibility of the company and its management.

                          The comments are sought by the company officials what to do at this stage as said battery is within warantee period. From the two months of its purchase the said battery started giving trouble as it was not charging enough to produce desired electricity output in case of power cut.

                          After complaining this to the dealer M/s. Ravindera Auto Engg. Works who has been adviced to replace the said battery with company we handed over the same to him.

                          We have done several followups and reminders and every time we get one or other excuse. The brother has gone to Delhi. He will come back and after wards the battery will be checked, this or that.

                          Such type of excuses mar the company's reputation as well as of the dealer who continues to make this or that excuse.

                          Exide — New Battery not working and dealer is giving excuses that company does not replace the battery

                          I had purchased an exide 25*N21 Battery from Mridu Sales Corporation Phagwara gate Jalandhar, date 26/6/08 for Rs 8000/- invoice no 417 of MSC.After 6 months itself, the battery started giving indications regarding battery low everyt ime there was a power cut, the battery got discharged after 1/2 hour with only one tube lite running.On complaining regarding the same the MSC owner said that we will get it replaced and took the battery alongwith the original guarantee card dated 20/12/08.After 15 days they installed the same battery again and said that the company has repaired the cells.But didnt gave back my guarantee card and said that company doesnt gives back the guarantee card.In feb 09 the same problem started again and after visiting several times to MSC the owner said that the company doesnt replace this battery and they only repare the same.At the time of sale the dealer didn't told that the battery will nopt be replaced in case of any problem.After lot of confrontations the dealer got the battery uninstalled from my house.Till date 15-20 days has been passed and i have no idea where the battery is lying .Till date we had not received our battery, on contacting the dealer he says that it is with company as soon as we got it back we will installed the same in your house.Now the dealer has started avoiding the calls. In Jalandhar there is an acute problem of power cut, due to which we trusted on exide as it is a nation wide brand and people trust on it.The dealer and the company is just making fool of people who pay huge price for the exide name.
                          The company is selling faulty batteries in the name of exide to innocent people who trust the brand.

After only three months it reduced its back up while the local batteries of my nabours gave full back up. The dealer although attended complaints many times for a period of three months .He got the inverter also checked but the problem was not solved at last he gave me new battery Inverter Plus in place of my invatubular just four days ago. The dealer says that the Exide Tubular batteries are giving many complaints and once it is sent to the company for replacement it dont come back less than in six months, If it is true why you peaple are spending so much on its advertisements. Now please tell me should I keep the Inverter Plus or ask for New Invatubular or file case in cosumer form.

                          This mail is in reference to the poorest costumer care service provided by Whirlpool. I had bought a Whirlpool Inverter on the 05/01/10 from QRS in Trivandrum. Since then began the nightmare of calling up the so called customer care service. From the time I bought the inverter, till date I have already faced problems with the machine at least five times. Being a patron of Whirlpool I had decided to go for this in spite of my friends warning me as this was newly launched product. Every time I have a problem I call up the customer care and they assure me that a person would come and fix the problem within next 24 hours, but it never happens. Finally after the third problem one person showed up and had a look at the machine and said he wouldn’t be able to help as he was not an engineer. I really don’t understand why the person was sent if he didn’t know anything about inverters. Isn’t the Service Center supposed to send qualified technicians to attend to guest complaints? Again on 19th of this month the inverter started giving me problems and on 20th I called up the customer care and as usual they assured me someone will come and rectify the same, it has been a week since then and till date nobody has bothered to call or come to rectify the inverter. If you can retrieve the records for the number of times I have called your customer care in Trivandrum you will actually be surprised. Now I am in Bangalore and my parents alone are at home (for whom I had bought this) and they find it difficult without an inverter as there are lot of power cuts in that area. False promises and assurances have become the tagline for your so called Customer Care Service. The people at the Customer Care Centre are least bothered about the problems of the client and either they keep on transferring the calls or put you on hold till you hang up.

                          I am in the process of settling down in Bangalore and had booked a couple of home appliances for my house but after this kind of service I have no faith in Whirlpool and most importantly the people hired by Whirlpool.

                          I purchased Exide inverter battery (IT 500-IC9-20258c) on 14th APL 2009 from “SHAKSHI ENTERPRISES” Betiahata Gorakhpur. “SHAKSHI ENTERPRISES” got it from S.S.TRADERS Betiahata Gorakhpur the authorized dealer of EXIDE.
                          I am sorry to inform that it could not perform even in winter season. I informed MS “SHAKSHI ENTERPRISES from time to time but without any success.

                          So it was finally taken by MS “SHAKSHI ENTERPRISES on 15th March 2010 without any replacement & got serviced by S.S.Traders, the authorized dealer of EXIDE & given to me on 15th April 2010.
                          After one day it again failed so on the advice of MS “SHAKSHI ENTERPRISES" I changed the inverter & purchased IGBT 850 VA inverter at a cost of Rs 5000/-
                          But again the world famous EXIDE TUBLAR is not functioning well.

                          It means that through out summer we will have to suffer only because we blindly believed in EXIDE.

                          Are you capable enough to look after the matter as on earliest so that our suffering is removed as well as any foul play can be detected?

                          Utterly disgusted with the level of service received from Battery Corporation, Sevoke Road, Siliguri. Their intent is to just sell and get over with... when it comes to service... they just pass the buck even when it is evident that they installed a totally incompatible system. Shame on them. Everyone should be careful when doing business with them.

                          They installed 4 batteries for my UPS to extend the backup time. I had clearly told them that they need to test for compatibility before installation. At that point of time, they said that if the output voltage is the same, any battery will work and went ahead with the installation. Now 7 months down the line one of the batteries died and I contacted Exide for replacement. Exide rep indicated that the UPS is not capable of charging the batteries that Battery Corp installed and dishonoured my replacement request. When I contacted Battery Corp, I was rudely shooed off stating that I forced them to install the battery and they are not responsible for compatibility.

                            On 7th August 2007, I had purchased an Exide tubular battery IT 500 from ROYAL BATTERY HOUSE IRINJALAKUDA, KERALA state for Rs. 10500. The dealer has given 30 months replacement guarantee. About 2 months back I noticed it is not giving the rated capacity of 150 ampere hours. Dealer representative came, examined the battery and said it is not getting fully charged by the invertor to the specified 13.8 volts. Invertor mechanic has now adjusted the cut off voltage to 13.8 volts but still there is no improvement in the battery performance. With a connected load of 120 watts (1 fan & 1 tube light ) the battery gets drained out in one hour. I have connected a + / - ammeter in series with the battery and I am able to monitor the charge / discharge current . Battery capacity appears to have degraded to less than 50 AH even though it has worked for only 17 months. I would be grateful if you look into this problem and do the needful.

                            always buy battery and invertor from one party(dealer).otherwise if any problem occurs the battery dealer blames the invertor dealer and viceversa.

                              Dear sir/madam

                              I have purchase New Exide Battery from Syndicate Motors, 74, Ground floor, Ambedkar road, Ghaziabad in Mar'08. My Battery started giving problem after 6 months, It got discharged fully as a result i faced lot of problems. I live in Vaishali, Ghaziabad which is 14 kms from Syndicate motors. I went to the dealer & asked him to replace my faulty battery since it is warranty period. They told me that there might be some problem with your car that's why the battery is not charged. I asked them to check my car & they found no problem. Then they give me the standby battery & detached the new battery & told me to come after 1 week. After 1 week i again went & they replaced the battery but the battery again started giving problem after some days.Then i again went to Syndicate Motors, I told them that is a faulty battery which you need to replace with the new one but again they said that it might be the problem with your car, again they checked my car & found no fault, even i checked the car from 3rd party also, he also said that there is no problem with the car. Inspite of telling all this to them they again gave me the standby battery & told me to contact after 1 week. Again I called them on phone and asked them whether my battery has been replaced from the factory, but they instead told that we have recharged the same battery. All this is happening and now currently my battery is with Syndicate motors only. I am telling them to replace my battery with the new one, but they are just giving me lame excuses & not doing there job. If this is the treatment given to the customer if the product is in warranty then what will they do if it is not in warranty. In Mar'09 one year will complete, i am still waiting for the new battery from the Syndicate motors.If there has been some problem with the car then why the standby battery works ok in the car? I would like everybody to help me in getting my car battery change from the dealer Syndicate motors whose address i have already mentioned above.There Telephone nos is[protected].                                   Dear Sirs,

                                  I have purchased one New Exide Xpress battery, Type MHD 600, Mfg Code 4E7 & Card No 44991959 on 15.09.2007 from One of their Authorized Dealers M/s Sri DURGA BATTERY CARES, 138, M.B.T. Road, Muthukadai, Ranipet – 632 002, Tamil Nadu vide Invoice Bill No 1477 Dated 15/09/2007.

                                  The New Battery was two times, in discharged condition on 15.11.2008 and 24.12.2008 and the battery gravity level was in Red mark level & the voltage was around 9.9 Volts only. The Dealer/ Service Engineer charged my Battery and gave me after two days. Likewise it has troubled me often.

                                  In the mean time, I came know that from the Manufacturing Code that the battery has been manufactured only on May 2007 and the dealer has sold it on September 15, 2007 which is 5 Months old which is transparently, not known to the customer/us. As per Warranty Clause 18. “Please note that in case period between date of manufacture and date of sale is more than 3 months the warranty will not be applicable. It is understood that, the dealer has given me the wrong Battery with wrong Warranty card. Hence the dealer is reluctant to replace the battery. The Warranty Period Expires on 14.02.2009 as per the Guarantee Card.

                                  In of view of the above I am requesting you to kindly advice the Dealer/Service Personnel to replace the Battery under warranty condition. Expecting your early reply/Action in this regard.

I have purchased Exide Xpress Model:MHD1000 four weeks back & im using it for 800VA Inverter, The problem is Inverter shows that the Battery is fully charged but the indicator in the battery indicates White colour instead of Green colour. I have checked Charging Voltage & charging current using Volt & Ammeter but it found to be ok. Before using it was in Green colour.
                                  So what could be wrong should i contact dealer please Help me i am woried.

                                  I suspect that the cell in which the inbuilt hydrometer is located is weak/out of order. When the inverter shows that the battery is fully charged, disconnect the battery. Allow the battery to cool down. Open the cap over the cell with inbuilt hydrometer and check the gravity with a hand held hydrometer. If the gravity of this cell is considerably lower that that of other cells, you may conclude that the battery cell with inbuilt hydrometer is damaged and battery needs replacement.

                                      he then collected the batterry from my place and now he is charging 500 rs as service charge, although my warranty period is not expired.
                                      pls help me out as soon as possible.
