I purchase a battery 22/11/2020. battery is not working after 15 days of purchase. battery 4 time recharged by dealer but battery not working property.
dealer take 3 months. he lost my warranty card. now company is not replacing my battery. i have bill.

    Sub: Request to replace with a new battery as it was not working properly right from the beginning. The dealer who supplied the battery closed his business during the corona period
    REF : SF SONIC, 150 AH, ASA9 035359 purchased on 23/2/19
    I had purchased the inverter battery from VINAYAKA Battery Services, No 1, Dr Ambedkar Street, Shenoy Nagar, Chennai 600030. I had purchased the same on 23/9/2019 and it was not working properly and had no backup right from the beginning. I had bought it to the notice of the dealer and he promised to do the needful.
    However, during the corona period, his shop was closed and I could also not reach your office too and moreover, I had misplaced the bill and had to get in touch with the dealer to get the copy of the bill. I had gone several times to the dealer's place but the shop was closed, finally, I came to know that he not only has closed the shop but also closed the battery business immediately after I purchased the battery.
    Finally found the bill and I immediately contacted customer care and they send the Exide service engineer and he too confirmed that the battery is faulty and I have crossed the period of replacement of the battery and I am on pro-rata warranty. I am not interested in the pro-RATA warranty as I feel I am being cheated. I want you to understand that first of all I was provided with a faulty battery, I made all efforts to contact the dealer and the company during the warranty and corona period. Thirdly I always trusted the quality of Exide and purchased the battery, now I am surprised the quality has come down drastically, I hope you will restore my trust in Exide quality by replacing my battery and be fair and just in your decision

      I replaced my car battery that was dead and within the warranty period, from a dealer in Chennai-100. The dealer adopted a very dubious method of calculating warranty discount. Per the warranty terms, I was eligible for 30% discount on the MRP of the new battery I bought. Whereas the dealer assumed the price of an equivalent model to that of the old dead battery replaced, which was higher than the MRP of the actual new battery and applied 30% discount on it. Dealer invoiced the balance as the discounted price of the new battery, calculating the applicable GST determined backwards from the final net price. This resulted in Rs.800 approx excess being billed than the appropriate method of warranty discount calculation, if adopted by the dealer. Further, the dealer claimed that Exide had instructed them to calculate warranty discount this way only and that they were following since many years. In this method the relevant price of the new battery is no where considered for invoicing and hence the applicable GST is incorrect as well. This is inappropriate from the GST practices as well, against the Govt exchequer. The most horrifying fact is that my repeated follow ups, almost 5 times through emails attaching the required documents, on this concern escalated to Exide Customer Care is never actioned till date despite assurance from customer care. Hence, this irresponsive attitude of Exide makes me think if Exide is also party to such dubious business practice that cheats the customer in connivance with the Dealer.

      VERY VERY UNFORTUNATE THAT EXIDE IS NEVER BOTHERED TO RESPOND. IT CLEARLY SHOWS THAT IT IS PARTY TO THIS DUBIOUS TRADE PRACTICE TO CHEAT THE CUSTOMER JOINING HANDS WITH DEALERS. REQUESTING OTHERS TO BE CAUTIOUS.

        I bought Exide Powersafe SMF battery and used with my Microtek UPS. The battery is not working from the beginning. I complained many times and they took a week to respond. They said this combination is not allowed and disagreed for warranty. Please take action against them.

          Hi,

          My name DileepKumar, I have bought a new Exide battery for car on 5th December 2020. In 2 months span the battery got dead two times. We requested to customer care that to arrange a technician as we have to travel early morning, but they couldn’t provided. Also when I asked at what can they arrange technicians they aren’t confirm for any time.

          When you can’t able arrange technician why and what reason for customer cares.

          If a battery got dead in 2months then what is the use to made batteries.

          If this the way a battery life span will be then none of the people will buy and refer exide batteries

              I recently brought 2 exide batteries150 and hybrid 1500 solar inverter. Problem is the local distributed cheated with me by giving me dead batteries and Hybrid UPS inverter which is not charging either on solar Or power supply. Now I called customer care but they told me we will send you engineer and waited for 5 days who still not came. I am suffering a lot as I have my sisters engagement in coming days. Hope this message will approach to higher authorities of Exide and my problem is solved

                  I have bought exide batteries for my UPS in my office as thought it to be a good renowned company but for my experience i faced a very bad experience. I bought a total of 15 Exide 12V 26AH SMF PowerSafe Sealed UPS Solar Battery on 23/04/2018. During these course of time as when power goes off i was not satisfied with the backup of the battery and when i asked the seller he responded saying may be my load was more so the battery is not enought...

                    Dear sir,
                    Request to you that i purchased Exide tubular battery at 2018.
                    two year battery working good but some time after some problems coming such as battery water drying again and again & backup not giving.so first time i have complaint near exide office then service engineer came and checked then he saying battery ok that inverter problem and i asked him that two year before inverter working good.i not accepted this reason.after i checking inverter in market then finally inverter OK.
                    therefore this is battery problems.
                    Please replaced battery.

                      I brought two wheeler exide battery type XLT29 in month Feb 2020 but after 6 month use it has been dead then i have given the same for replacement at Laxmi motor, Hamidia Road BHOPAL (MP) on 29th Oct 2020, which is authorised dealer of Exide battery but now they were saying to me that exide stop manufacturing the same type of battery. My battery is under warranty and its almost 2 month. I have sent mail to [protected]@exide.co.in many time but nobody bother about it. so please let me know how much time i need to wait for a simple battery replacement.

                          Dear Team,

                          Its been 15 days over battery has been giving to the dealer for replacement of battery(Under warranty). And now the Exide claim recovery department saying no battery stock.

                          On the issued ticket it is clearly mention "service battery should be returned within 7 days as otherwise charges will be recovered from the date of issue".

                          Recovery department is demanding to pay bribe to collect replacement battery .. and say no battery stock

                          I am as a customer extremely not satisfied with Manufacturer response, and no proper commitment concerned towards the customer claim recovery/replacement.

                          with these kind of response i felt not to buy any exide product in future.

                            My car battery Exide service request is registered with id : 262700 and id : 263260 on 7th and 8th Dec but no one has attended. I am not able to use my car. Earlier they have recharged once and gave Jumpstart another time. Battery discharged. Then they told wiring problem. I checked wiring at emm emm motors Bangalore and they have checked it to be fine. Now the car is at Emm Emm motors and battery discharged again. The above service request is opened and service person assigned. But not arrived. The battery is under warranty and may need replacement. Kindly deploy person to attend today urgently.

                              I am complaint at sf sonic customer care.that note my complaint and send the inverter battery to local dealer where battery was purches battery type FST0-ST850. And serial no:A1F7E252019 . That batteryery was replaced but sf sonic company not.delevrd to me from 3 months.and I was call the company service engineer but they are not answering on yet.

                                I have purchased a battery on FEB and now it is issue and not working, I have checked with Veni Battery Cuddalore-607001. They as well confirmed the issue.

                                Now the issue is they are asking 10day time to replace the battery, Why?
                                How can I manage without a battery 10days.

                                    My battery for A star vehicle which is registered in website . S.No - A3D8G426900 was purchased by me on 15/7/2018 & it has failed today. I made complaint in the website & called call centre @[protected] four times. No one from batmobile called me so far . My first complaint was at 9 AM. I have now given battery to r dealer Sai battery works Pune - Mr Satish Sharma, mobile [protected]. He has taken the battery after giving me standby battery. Service of Exide thru the call centre/ website is hopeless. Please replace my battery as it is less than 2 years old

                                      Please see few details for assessment of sequence for replacement of battery during warranty period.
                                      1. Date of purchase: 10.11.2018.

                                      5. Complain No. 235703
                                      6. Date of complain: 06.11.2018
                                      During service of car, it was came in my knowledge that batteries cells are not giving showing proper gravity of liquid and required output voltage also not seen at the the terminal end. Accordingly complain was made through customer care no. with ticket no. 235703 on 06.11.2020. Accordingly message was came on my mobile that Mr. Prashant Tyagi shall attend the complaint on 10.11.2020, but they turned up on 11.11.2020 after checking of battery, it was taken to check at their workshop/office for proper investigation. On 13.11.2020, they returned back and fixed the battery into car. In their opinion battery is order & there is no problem in it. But very next day, battery was checked my by me and it is found half green & half white. Car was immediately sent to mechanic to proper checking the electrical system. After thorough checking of 2 to 3 day, mechanic confirmed for low gravity of liquid on cells for reason of discharging frequently. It was also observed for last some period.
                                      Therefore it is requested to change the battery immediately for avoiding awkward positions during running of the vehicle.

                                      For last 23 days no proper response is given from the end of Exide. Vehicle is lying idle due to non replacement of battery.

                                      Kindly replace the battery within 24 hrs, otherwise there will no option to me to take appropriate action as deemed fit. Any cost towards replacement of battery from my end shall be borne by Exide.

                                      This is for kind information & further necessary action from your end to maintain healthy relation between company & customer.
