Hi,

I got my Fiat Linea Emotion Pk in March End. I am facing below problem.

Problem -

1. Engine warning light glows while driving on an interval of 15-25 Kms with a jerk in the speed. Its goes off post the jerk
2. Excess Radiator temperature warning comes while driving and also sometimes when starting from idle. If it comes while driving then I get a huge jerk again.

Dealer Response -
I had dropped my car for checking and fixing this. They had retained the car for 2 days for 2 times and returned saying it is fixed however both the problems still occurs. I had called immediately to them to take the car and fix it however the response is very slow and no one is bothering to attend the problem.

Even cusomer complaint cell of Fiat (Mr Manu) is mum on this matter and nothing has moved from thei end as well.

I am requesting forum if there is some number/email where I can escalate this issue.

Hi, i agree with you. Dealers are taking it for granted. My fiat was fitted with a faulty battery and the dealer says he cannot change even in warranty because the battery number does not match his records.
No help from fiat also. only assurances
i purchae alinea befor 8 moths from hyson motors trissoor, then i face so many problems from there, now i have a things, i bring a audio system from gulf then i reach this agent and fitting in my car but they said
they are no chance to fitting becouse they are no responsibilty about ur cars warranty, then u fit it outsaid u losse u r electrical warranty, then what we do pleas check it and solve please reply soon

Hi, my car age is only two months and since from the first day I felt so tired to convey my car problem to Fiat Higher authority.The dealer along with manufacturer tried to kill my whole family by providing me a defective car. You know what happened to me the so called fiat Linea delivered a car in the first day with all lock nuts for two left side wheels in opened conditions and during driving after two KM, the car bacome so unbalanced with knocking sound that I had to returned back to the show room.Where we observed that two wheels were almost came out from their positions. God saved us that we did not made any accident during driving.after that I am very much affraid to drive my car.Now my car is in Fiatworkshop for attending several safety and design related problem.
So I also agree that Fiat has introduced a sedan car but with out safety measures.The incident what has happened to me is a crime and everybody fromm the dealers, manufacturers involved in this process shoud be punished.I am thinking to go to consumer court because of the harrusment, IF the manufacturer who does not bother about the value of a life then how will they survive in this competition market.

    Just after purchasing of FIAT PUNTO EMOTION PK TOP Model MH 12 FP 4167 AND HAVING 15,000 KM running one tyre got bubbled just after running of 50 kms and anather tyre got wire out of tyre and puncture.

    Due to using BAD QUALITY OF GOOD YEAR TYRE ,you put others life in a trouble.


    When I WENT TO WAKAD Service station they saving as Manza service cap is there we cannot take your vehicle. if tyre burst who is responsible for somebodys life.

    Using of bad tyre quality is your fault as just after running 50 kms, tyre bot bubbled.

    This is serious issue.

    I have already put my at wakad pune service station. so immediate action is needed for replacement.

        Dear Sir,

        I had bought a Fiat Punto (Registration No. TN 02 AJ 8037) in the month of August 09 from M/s Concorde Motors, Chennai. On the first day itself, the AC was not working and I took the car back to the dealer. They set the AC in order and gave it back to me. After that all the servicing till date is done by M/s TAFE Reach, Chennai. After the 1st service, the vehicle is continuously having some issue or the other. Initially, the clutch cylinder was found to be defective and was replaced. Then the clutch was found to be defective and was replaced. There was a rattling noise from the steering, which the service centre attributed to improper lubrication of the steering column. They informed that they have lubricated the steering column. The air intake hose is defective, but it is yet to be replaced inspite of repeated reminders and visits to the service station.

        In the first week of May 2010, the gear cable snapped while on the road and the vehicle had to be towed to the workshop for replacement of the cable. Now the steering noise has re-surfaced. In addition, the suspension is also defective. The ride is bumpy and the suspension is making noise. A service engineer from TAFE Reach inspected the vehicle and has acknowledged the faults in both the steering and suspension. It is very clear that the vehicle is not upto the mark and a defective car has been delivered to me. There is no response from Fiat to my complaints.

        As all the parts are failing one after the other within 1 year of purchase, I have asked for a refund from Fiat and a compensation for the trauma and deficiency in service. I request your advice on the course of action to be adopted - whether I should press for a full refund or should I ask for a replacement of the car. I request you to guide me so that I get a proper solution to my woes.

          I own a FIAT Linea DI Emotion Pack.
          Purchased at tata Motors who only want to sell then they wont care the damn what the probllem is...
          But KHT Motors is supporting me to my satisfaction..
          BUT The Car Is a pain it is having an intermittent Problem.
          I completely Loose Power when very Crucial. Cant even Overtake an TVS 50 Moped at those Moments.
          The Problem surfaces Suddenly for a few moments.
          Been facing it since delivery in January 2010.
          Also Fiat is cheating the sedan segment buyer. Every other sedan class car in India has DISC Brakes on the rear too but Fiat Has Drum in Rear EVEN IN THE TOP END MODEL.

          I too purchased a Fiat Linea -Emotion pk from RD.Motors, Kolkata and found all the machines parts of my car is started malfunctioning.Actually, the Fiat sedan car is having major design problem. they have incorporated many things in the car but did't think about the preventive measures to save the gadgets incorporated.
          It is really shocked to know that such a big manufacturer's does not have sence to think in deep before introducing such defective cars in the market.
          In every sence the car is inferior quality than any other sedan car in the market.Simply, Fiat along with Tata Motors are cheating peoples.

            I bought a brand new FIAT Grande Punto loaded car last year in July

            2009 (the first car of Lucknow city, India).

            Few months back, the car was recalled by the local dealer 'Goldrush"

            for making some replacements as advised by the Fiat; and they changed

            the clutch, and other 2 parts. Just yesterday, my wife had picked me

            from the airport and driving home - the clutch failed. We were 12 kms

            away from home, I called up your Helpline number in Lucknow

            [protected], and the person told me that the Service workshop is closed

            (at 7:50 PM), and bring the vehicle tomorrow morning to the workshop.

            I told him that my car is stuck on the highway, and cant drive at all.

            So he advised me to drive the car somehow on 1st gear or 2nd, and

            bring it to the workshop (which was again 12-13 kms) and leave it with

            the security guard.



            Somehow I managed to put the gear 2nd and drove the car with lots of

            trouble and took me 1 hour to reach the workshop. I dropped the car

            there and took a taxi and came back home. This morning I called up the

            service workshop, and they told me that clutch cylinder is gone. so I

            told them that they just replaced it few months back, and my car has

            only done 11,400 kms. They told me that they have to replace it and

            the car will be ready only tomorrow (may 12, 2010).



            Now I my main question is that if the company had replaced the same

            parts few months back then why did it break down. I will appreciate

            it, if someone can answer this question from the company - as now I

            doubt the manufacturing of this car.

              i bought this fiat punto from siva sankar motors ,Visakhapatnam .vehicle no : AP31 TP T/R 8167 its just 10days old and the complaint as follows

              1) The vehicle seems to be re painted
              2) there is lot of roughness on the roof of the car
              3) on the rear glass there are small spots of the spray paint are visible
              4)color variation on the right side door and balance body

              5) paint dots on the side mirrors as well

                I have bought Fiat Punto Emotion Pack Diesel Version car which is bought in the month of Dec'09. Its been just 5 months and 6000 kms that the car has completed. The car came with a defective rear left speaker on which following up with the Customer Relation manager Mr Chetan got replaced but i had given the car for in-cabin rattlings which has still not gone the car has lots of weired noises from inside and outside. There is some rusty noise from both rear suspensions and is increasing day by day. When i launched a complaint on Fiat's Own Website i got a call on 04-May and when i told the lady who i spoke to regarding sending someone to my place to pick the car up she put me on hold to take her manager someone by the name Mr Mule from Bharti Motors whether they can send someone for pickup but to his badluck the conversation between the lady and Mr Mule could be heard in their regional language ( Marathi) which i could understand and was shocked to hear the conversation Mr Mule was shouting at the lady saying that tell the customer that we dont have any time and he should come here as if i m a Begger or some Lower class man who doesnt have any self respect.                 Fiat Motors — DEFECTIVE CAR SOLD

                This is with reference to the purchase of a Grand Punto Emotion Diesel from Automobile Sterling, Noida(U.P) in the name of my wife Neha Maheshwari I purchased this car on the 7th January from this place and since then it has been a frustrating experience for me. I have faced numerous problems with the car and have been harassed by the staff and the management of the above showroom.
                I have in the past also filed complaints against the management and the service standard (please see mail below) and after some pressure from the side of Fiat India some actions were taken but some problems still remain.I wish to list the different problems that had been faced by me immediately after purchasing the car.
                1.The driver seats make continuous screeching noise, while driving or while making any movement.
                2. The ac panel’s bulb was fused
                3. The AC cool and hot rotor switch was not working
                4. Only the side AC vents were giving cool air and the main vents were just giving blower air.
                5. The panel covering the fuse box was broken
                6. There is a cut mark on the steering wheel
                7. There was a cut mark on the chrome on the hand brake
                8. The “I” from the emotion label was missing
                Out of the above issues most of the issues still remain, wheras new problems have come up.
                The service centre kept telling me for eight months that they have repaired the driver seat and it will not make noise but after every service it would start making the noise again. I must have given the car for this reason atleast 5 times.Finally the service centre told me that the seat has a defect and needs to be repaired and they told me that it is not available right now and will contact me once it is available. Its been more than a month and I havent heard anything back from the service centre.
                The Car AC was not working as it didnt have GAS. Now I wish to know which new car doesnt have a working AC.
                The hot and cooling rotor switch has again stopped working.
                The car makes heavy noise when it is turned or a U-Turn is taken, I was told that it has been taken care of but nothing has been done.
                Last time the Fiat office had me and an executive from Automobile sterling on conference and the Fiat office asked the executive to take care of these issues, but I heard nothing from the Automobile sterling executive.
                It has been a very very dissapointing experience for me. I my last 10th months I have continously visted the service center without getting a proper solutions. This totally endorses the belief people have about the bad after sales service of TATA/FIAT. I wanted to buy Linea, but the kind of horrible experience I have had I have decided not to make that mistake and have also persuded other people not to buy Fiat Cars.
                This is my last request to Fiat to please look into the above issues and please provide me with a solution to my problems otherwise I'm left with no option but to file a complaint with consumer court as I have been very very frustrated by the treatment given to me.

                  Dear Sir/Madam,

                  I bought my Linea Emotion Pack - Petrol in Nov 09; there have been host of issues since then. But the service center Balaji Cars in Thane have attended to them.

                  However the two issues on A/c cooling and the spring sound on the rear seat above the wheel on the right side continue to be a mystery.

                  The company Tata Motors from Pune called up but they have acknowledged that the A/c cooling has design issues and that they donot have a fix on it.

                  I want to lodge this complaint and seek the right solution and support.

                  i am also cheated by balaji cars i bookedcar on 11 may 2010 sales staff took money from me than he never bothered to call his name Samer . Subsuqently sales staff and manager fprced me to by EURO 3 car with promise to give delivery by 04.06.2010 but they gave carwith spots no service and without number than they promoised to give RTO number on 05.06.2010 by 2 PM but at 6 Pm they told number is not possible . After having clear promoise to deliver car on 03 jun 10 with registration number till date they are not bothered its very cheap service at balaji only request not to buy car from balaji else you will repent . all things duplicate parts stolen and then false promise go to other dealers but not to balaji u will gets frustated .

                    So we want change the part But door latch is not abelable in delears.

                      In ref.to complaints send by mail to you &tatacargo-fiat sg highwayAHMEDABADabout my carFIAT LINEADYNAMIC purchased on29SEPT.2009from CARGO MOTORS,S.G.HIGHWAY AHMEDABAD.On11jan;2010 Ihave complaint there by phone.I have send car there on 21jan.2010.I have put car for 15days.they hae checked itthoroughly &said that there was a dead RAT inside left rear door panel;it has cut down all wires.thats whyleft rear door was notlocking.rats have cutdown driver side seat belt;rear side seat belt&entered into bootspace by cuttingcarpet.they have done temporary tapping of wiring only.Ihave xtra money for new seatbelts.dear sir despite of this RATS are still REPEATEDLY ENTERING in &out of car.IS there any permanent solution !Iam having acar since last 15years&parked in same spacebut no such thing happened with anothercar.Temporary tapping of wire isnot asolution.there is a 100% chances of shortcircitting &firing. dea sir despite of my whole heartd efforts they are not in a mood to change whole wire pannel in warranty.neither they are closing down inlet of RATS via bonate.please do something in favour.

                        I booked a Fiat Linea with RF MOTORS Cochin on 22 FEB 2010 with a full amount of 8.42 lakh rs. They has told me that they will be delivering the car on 28 FEB. But they haven't delivered the car on the same day.They Delivered the car after one and a half months on 4 mar 2010.They again cheated me by not paying the road tax of about 50000 Rs.Now they are not ready to pay me back the amount.On my enquiry to other people , i came to know that this is their usual practise to take full amount of money from people and create unnecessary trouble to people.So if any one wishes to buy a fiat or tata car please avoid RF Motors (Any branch), as they are there not do the business,but to cheat people and spoil the car companies reputation.

                          Hi,
                          I am using fiet palio & it get service from Dynamic Palio noida,All major job has been done.After service during road test i have complaint regarding from engine side noise.But advisor said it is not serious all belts pulleys we have replace thats why its comes & will resolve after some time.but the noise can not stop.yesterday night i was driving with my family in Gurgaon same noise comes from engine side but very heavily i stopped my car immediately and found my engine got seized.
                          Kindly resolve my problem as soon as possible.My car no is DL4CP4017

I HAVE SPENT ALL WEEKENDS SINCE I BOUGHT THE CAR AT THE SERVICE STATION AT RAMA MOTORS AT OKHLA. THEY EVEN TRIED TO TELL ME THAT THEIR WAS A TECHNICAL DEAFULT AND THEY HAVE CORRECTED IT. I DONT UNDERSTAND HOW COULD A NEW CAR HAVE SUCH A TROUBLE AND HOW DID A CAR WITH A TROUBLE GET INTO SALES. I CAME HOME AFTER THE CHECK THE FOURTH TIME WITH TEH ASSURANCE THAT THE CAR'S AC WOULD BE FINE NOW BUT WHEN I DROVE IT IN DAY TIME ITS AC WAS AS BAD AS EARLIER. I HAVE NOT HEARD FROM ANYONE TELLING ME WHAT THE REAL TROUBLE IS AND WHY I WAS SOLD THIS CAR IN THE FIRST PLACE.

                            I WANT TO MAKE A CLAIM FOR ALL THE INCONVENIENCE CAUSED TO ME AND WANT EITHER A REPLACEMENT OF THE CAR OR A COMPLETE REFUND. I DO NOT WISH TO HAVE ANY FURTHER ASSOCIATION WITH FIAT OR THEIR SERVICE MEN WHICH I SHOULDNT HAVE BEEN LIABLE TO DO ANYWAYS.                             I am Sachin Karle. Owner of the Fiat Grande Punto no. MH05AS875 since december 31st 2009.
                            I purchased this 1.4 fire emotion pk, electric Blue, from Balaji Cars Pimpalghar, Kalyan with great expectations.
                            But I have been facing problems with the vehicle since the day I have got the delivery.
                            I am sure FIAT has all the records of the jobs done so far on my car. I can provide all the invoice numbers if required.
                            Shock-ups problem occurred in just 3rd month. Then just 2 months later wheel bearings had to be replaced.
                            And just one month after this, two days back the Clutch Cylinder seems to be jammed and needs to be replaced.
                            I don't understand, how can a brand new car give so many problems. That too in its first year itself.
                            Even though it's under 2 years warranty and I have got extended warrenty as well,
                            Should I expect some new problem to occur and get the parts replaced one by one every alternate month, Why don't you give me a new replacement instead???
                            As it has became a nuisance that the 'so called brand new FIAT Punto' is giving trouble every month.
                            I am fed up of this. And as far as the service is concerned it really sucks. It is pathetic. Balaji cars doesn't have the man power to handle the pressure.
                            They never deliver on time. Their answers keep changing whenever you ask them about what has happened to your car.
                            Other thing is availability of spares. In spite of tie up with tata FIAT seems to have failed miserably.
                            I am told by Balaji cars that, the clutch cylinder is not available and it'll take minimum 4 days to come.
                            After that the work will start. It is just not acceptable. You can not take the customer for granted.
                            You have to give the customer a good service. I have paid my hard earned money for it.
                            I am seriously fed up. Please replace my car.
                            I don't want to keep thinking what's going to be the next problem every day.
                            I am seriously planning to go to consumer forum regarding this.
                            I can't take this nonsense anymore. Awaiting your reply.

Now I am planning to buy a TATA SAFARI in 2011. So I traveled more than 150 kms. From Kotdwar to Roorkee for a TEST DRIVE of SAFARI at I.S.MOTORS ROORKEE at Dehradun Road.

                            I requested them for a TEST DRIVE of SAFARI in I.S.MOTORS Roorkee. But they didn’t respond me well . I had to wait there for a TEST DRIVE of SAFARI more than 3 hours. And I asked them for a TEST DRIVE more than 5 times again and again. Unfortunately ! They disappointed & ill treated me each and every time, as I requested to them for a Test Drive . At last I couldn’t make a TEST DRIVE . A great disappointment for me .

                            At last, kindly my request to you, please arrange a Test Drive of safari for me and customers like me, at my place KOTDWAR, district Pauri Garhwal.

                                we booked linea model this month
                                as your upgrade your fiat offer we participated in this offer but just in between my 8 month kid pressed the computer button accidentally and your site closed immediately...
                                on reconnecting after that it says that our booking id is registered but no results..
                                NO REPLY
                                only we have paid th ebooking amount till now
                                IS THIS HOW IS YOUR SERVICES GOING TO BE???

                                This has reference to our today's discussions regarding Fiat Linea MH02-BR-4591.

                                As discussed we at 'Rockwin Flowmeter India Pvt Ltd' have purchased this vehicle from M/s Fortune Cars, Thane, Maharashtra.

                                Vehicle delivery was taken on 11.07.2011.

                                After taking the delivery it was brought to the notice of concern persons at M/s Fortune Cars ( Mr.Deepak & Mr. Ganesh ) that the "Wheel Caps" fitted on wheel are not properly aligned over the wheel and hence it looks bad as well when vehicle is running it appears as if wheels are wobbling. This need either proper fitting or wheel cap replacement. They indicated that they will look into this during 1st servicing of the vehicle.

                                This issue was also highlighted during the feed back call received from Fiat, India as well from Fiat, Italy after getting the vehicle delivery.

                                I have given the vehicle for first servicing today and had requested to attend to above mentioned problem.

                                They have denied to attend to this and have informed that they spoke to you in this regard and it is advised by you that it will remain as it is and nothing can be done about this.

                                Statement is not only very surprising but making the matter more serious. We would like you to re-confirm your stand on this issue by return mail.

                                Expecting your immediate response and action in this regard.

                                  I had bought a FiatLiea emotion pk Diesel inOct09. reg no. MH43X9385
                                  i like the car overall but the build quality disappoints at time and this is worsened by the poor servcie centres.
                                  I had some issues with parts and I had lodged a complaint with Fiat and Fortune motors, Nerul Navi Mumbai some weeks back and then I had visited fortune motors in Nerul. The inside rubber of doors was falling off and it was impossible to close the doors. I visited twice but everytime it was not available and they were supposed to call back for the same to replace it. They havent- frustrated I have cut the rubber so that I can close the doors.
                                  Secondly, the rear AC vent grill was loose and I showed it and they said they will change it the last time but again it was not done. I have my second service due next week and I hope the necessary corrections are made this time. Being a doctor who has to visit a lot of hospitals, I cannot leave my car at the sevice centre again and again.

                                  Ratan tata want do good in car market, but the management and the staff he chose is not correct one where ever u go in Inda tata show room or service centre u will get same service, never beter than earely, even the men sitting as parts Manager dont know the latest develepment of the market, i ask one of the Manager in Chennai Amatur Branch allow wheel for Tjet he have no idea about : "Tjet".
                                  So what u expect from otheres.

                                  I completely agree with both of you. Spares and service are bogus. My car met with an accident and its almost one and half month but yet spares are not made available from FIAT company, so my car stuck at workshop. I think FIAT has to stop producing and selling cars in India till they build good factory to produce enough parts and train staff and have their own show room + work shops.

                                    Hello every one,
                                    I was use public forums because I was not able to post my complaint to Fiat. Even the “Help Desk” link on the website is NOT LETTING ME TO POST ANY SERVICE THING FOR NATURE “COMPLAINT-SERVICE”. The interface is letting me to proceed in the other two categories.
                                    Even your CEO CORNER link is also broken
                                    Even Concorde motors contact us link is not working
                                    The background:
                                    I am having a Palio Style SDX (KA 01 ME 2901). I was getting is serviced as per the directions given in the Tata Fiat service station (CONCORDE MOTORS (INDIA) LIMITED, Bharani Indus Area, ChikkaBegurGate, Hosur Road). I noticed my front tyers getting an irregular wear and tear. I approached the service station, having a presumption that there must be some issues with the baring, which was the most obvious conclusion I could have reached to looking at the tyres condition.
                                    It was promptly checked and I was told that there is no issue with the baring and suspension. I was asked to keep the tyres under observation for next 500 Km also rotate the tyres which I had already done it a 2-3 days before.
                                    For the next 500 km the tyres seemed to be fine. I drove the car for almost 4000 km and started to feel the same all over again. I went back to the service station they told alignment and all is fine. The will call the tyre company representative and I have to come over.
                                    After 2-3 days the tyre company representative came and he told that there is no issue from his side. I was told the alignment is ok. He went off.
                                    Now I was told that they will try to process the issue and find out what can be done. This was in the conversation with the manager at the service station.
                                    They came back after few days today, told that there is nothing more they can do.
                                    My issue:
                                    - I am NOT CONVINCED by the explanation given to me for the reason of this irregular wear and tear. Rather it always felt like passing the bug off to someone else. And finally told may be the alignment, which they told whenever I came to them is fine.
                                    - Now after doing all what was told to me I am at the loss of 4 tyres which no one is taking a responsibility off
                                    - Even if I get all 4 new tyres which they were asking me to buy what is the guaranty that same thing will not happen again, as what all I understand there is no fix done for the cause.
                                    - I was always told by people in the service station right from the service engineer to the top level guy to get Bridgestone tyres and I will not face this issue. If this is the case they why dose Fiat gives Goodyear
                                    I hope you understand the issue and get me some convincing answers

                                    this is an age old problem with fiat .i own a palio 1.2 2001 model. and I have gone through all this 9 yrs ago . i complained to every channel possible. even international head of fiat was personally mailed . one manager at gurgaon even threatened me with dire consequences if i donot stop troubling him.but nothing concrete has been done so far for the rectification of the problem.
                                    I have a similar problem with my Fiat Palio Stile SDX MJD. Even after adjusting the camber, replacing the tyres, replacing the front shock absorbers, the tyres are showing uneven wear. I am absolutely clueless as to what could be the issue here. No one at the dealership is interested in helping me out. I took those buggers to consumer forum but the stupid judjes on the bench passed the buck off. I just want a solution to my problem. Is there any?

                                    The less said about the Fiat Palio services rendered by the TVS or Tata Motors, the better. Worst possible feedback ever was heard from the buyers of fiat palio.
                                    The Concorde (Khairathabad, Hyderabad) people who sold me the car promised heaven n earth at the time of purchase. They even offered an official after-sales fitment of CNG/LPG kit which was to be released for their Indica etc., Hahahahahahahahahaha. That never happened.
                                    They promised servicing in Uppal (nearer to my home). Those at Uppal flatly refused to touch the palio even for replacement fuse (I bought it myself).
                                    At the time of the first service at Sanath Nagar, the floor mats and one ashtray vanished. The second time, the felt lining under the bonnet went missing. (This, I did not notice because I did not open the bonnet for about few months after free the services. I noticed it only when I saw the lining in other palios at some other workshop). Third time, the rubber skirting under the wind dam disappeared...I never gave the car again to the Concorde people.
                                    Now, the problem o[censored]neven wear of the Goodyear tyres arose. The suspension, camber, toe-in etc were examined, pronounced 'no problem'. Then they advised replacement of entire set of tires. I was thinking about it and came across this site and the problem seemed to be faced by many others also. Now I don't know whether to change the tyres or not.
                                    Coming to other spares, they are exorbitantly priced n scare away the owner of the car, if at all they are available off the shelf. The original rear view mirror assembly costs you a bomb. The main aim of these dealers seems to thoroughly discourage the owners coming back to them for after sales service. They are just pulling on and thriving by the sales talk of the sales team and the lack of wisdom on the prospective buyers (poor suckers!) and nothing else.
                                    My friend along with whom I purchased the car smelled a rat quite early and sold off the car within one year after the purchase. Lucky escape indeed.

                                      In the month of September 2009 I have purchased the top end variant of Fiat Punto Petrol version and inspite of everyone advising me against it i will admit i fell for the aesthetics and plush interiors of the car.Today i have to admit i regret that decision.In the past 4 months i have had problems with the gear shaft(got stuck and wouldnt move from 2nd to 3rd),recently the engine support bolts gave way and the car was stalled in the middle of the road.Fiat as usual was very unhelpful and the dealer arrange for a towing van that turned up after 4 hours.The fuel door refuses to open and now the shock absorbers need to be replaced.Having driven enough cars in my lifetime i can vouch that this car has the worst suspension.Try driving over speedbreakers or potholes and you can hear the base of the car touching the ground.I have been called again next week to change the shock absorbers and also check the fuel average which is a sad 8km/lt than the 15km/lt the company claims.For all the above problems everytime I have given car to the dealership they have acknowledged there is a problem and for every problem the company seems to have a modification ready which only means that they are aware of the problems but will not recall cars.They rather cause inconvenince to customers and dealers but not admit their cars have a defect.I feel cheated that the company has sold cars intially without testing it and now with the help of the feedback they receive from us they are probably trying resolve these problems in subsequent cars.It is indeed dissapointing that I have paid for the brand name but have not received the quality i would have expected from Fiat.

                                      Fiat Punto emotion — Non issuance of registration no.

                                      Took the delivery of the car on 08.10.2009 from M/S B.U.Bhandari,Pashan,Pune, but despite follow up they are not taking action for providing registration no.
                                      i have taken punto on 24 th dec n the very next day the air condition went off n i went for service in concorde automobiles in cochin there is no response very bad service for punto
                                      I completely agree on all the points as I also bought a Punto emotion and facing similar problem. Moreover the AC of my car is also not working properly, while contacted the dealer they said it’s perfectly fine. I also feel cheated by FIAT.

                                      my brother in law purchased one and the next 3 days the AC failed, on reporting back to the dealer, they informed that the pipe had gone bad and they need to replace the pipe, they kept the car for two days . after two days when we went to pick up the car they said that the spare was not available ant that they have called for it and it would take about 15 to 20 days. till that time we had to drive a new car without airconditioning... toughh. Finally the pipe arrived after 30 days and could be fitted.

                                      Actually i feel that fiat has not put up a infrastructure and is trying to just test and experiment in this market.

                                      i have a grande punto 1.4 L emotion petrol and the AC is uneffective.. maybe for italy it may do some good but for india its as good as not having one..i 'm really pissed off.This is not the way one can sell cars in india.
                                      I totally agree. Fiat India's service sucks. And there is a problem with the shockups, gear shaft and clutch drums. It may be fit for driving in Europe. But not in India. Just aesthetics are damn good, but not made for india. I am facing the same problems.

Its running is almost 15000 km & its tyres of Goodyear company almost finished, I also contact at GARYSON MOTOR PVT. LTD. They tell that come & then we forward ur complaint to FIAT. But i am staying at UNA (H.P) 150 km away From Ludhiana. So that I decide to complaint personally. it is request to change my tyres otherwise i will take an legal action.
