I had bought a new fiat punto vehicle around six month back. This vehicle has so many problems. Aadya Motors was the dealer and I request all new buyers not to buy any vehicle from them. They keep all new vehicles in open air where lots of dust goes inside th car. It also fades the colour.
While delivering the new vehicle they hain some manually painted in some areas and delivered the vehicle.

My major issue is WIND NOISE at 80 KM speed, its very irritating and gives head ache in long drives. Neither the fiat company nor Aadya id not able to solve the problem. They know its a fault but they dont want accept the technical fault in FIAT PUNTO.

I have written documents for all these issues.

    I am Fiat Lover having my third car as a second owner of a Fiat Petra 2005 model car Registration number is TN-67-M-2949. The service records show that it was serviced only at TVS, Madurai. I continued the service of my car with the TVS Madurai only. I had a bad experience with the TVS while servicing my car in the month of June, 2011 which resulted in approaching the consumer complaints. The TVS not minded about the above complaint. One of its Service Engineer approached me and requested me to continue the service of my car with them and on his assurance, I once again sent my car for the service to the TVS Madurai in the month of October, 2011. This time it was serviced better but only one defect was not able to locate or identify by the TVS. The defect is the “Battery charge is reducing while the engine is sleeping”. My Battery is six months old. The Battery company person inspected my Battery and says that it is in perfect condition. They doubt that some parts are working even after the engine is resting. Nobody is able to locate the defect.

    Kindly help me to solve the problem.

      I have taken the delivery of the car and in the invoice it is written that there would br 8 Speakers (4 main and 0.5*4 ) tweeters in the car. Now when I checked (due to poor speakers performance) tweeeters are not given in the car. When I spoke to the dealer they are not owning up the responsibility.

        My Fiat Punto Emotion has started noisy - a jerky noice from left-front below to shock-abs. I've talked with one of the Service Advisors in Corcord Motors, Ernakulam. They told me that some part needs to be replaced. I gave my car to Concord Motors on 10th November 2011, two days later they told me that the part is not available and I have to wait for 2 weeks. Don't forget that they charged me Rs. 150 for pickup service. As I needed the car for daily purposes, I took the car requesting them that to give me call when the part is available.
        Today 22rd November, 2011, when I called Concord motors about the status. Then they told me that the part is available and asked me to wait for one more week that they have no more slot left for new booking.
        But I believe they forgot that I have been waiting for 2 weeks to get these parts available at Concord Motors, Ernakulam. After 10 - 15 times of call to Concord Motors, CC executives, Manager - even the CRM Manager was hesistating to talk with me - they were not ready to fix my car. After an hour or so I called up them again and one of the executive told me that the Manager agreed to fix appointment for tomorrow 23rd November 2011 atlast!
        The noise started about 2 months before. In last service (10th) also they charged me some Rs. 2300/- Concord service replaced few parts on <date> and charged me Rs. 5000/- for the same reason. But in a couple of days it started again. And the rest of the story is above.
        I need my vehicle by this Friday evening. Kindly guide me to handle this situation. Saturday 26th November 2011 I have an engagement and I want the car on the same date. I suspect Concord motors not willing to deliver car on time because of dump situation at the service center. Nobody is taking care of customer concerns and everybody is trying to put responsibilities to each others. For tomorrows appointment, I need the pick-drop facility and I think Concord is going to charge me same again. I don't know where I could claim my time waiting for them to get the fauly part. My extented warranty ends on this December - Hope the issue would be cleared under warranty itself.
        I am a great fan of FIAT. I have a 2009 Fiat Palio 1.6 and this is my second vehicle from Fiat. For past few months, due to the bad service that I am getting at my location, I feel like I am loosing my craze on Fiat cars. I would appreciate to get better after sale service from Fiat so that your valuable customers remain customers. This kind of situation is really disappointing.

        Hi I am from Chennai. I have given my car for service. To replace the center mirror, fog light and rear wiper. However the car was delivered back to me without fixing any of the things I have mentioned to them. Stating they did not have spares available. Then again I sent back the car to the ECR Concorde service station. However even after having it for 10 days nothing was being done.
        I was one of the worst service done by the service engineer. RajaManikandan.

        On the date of delivery they said the Car wheel is punctured and they have no equipments to fix that.

          I am an owner of FIAT LINEA Emotion Pk (D) since Nov 2009 and it has done only 19000KM till date.
          3rd service of my car was to be done before 30 Nov 2011.Since i was moving out till dec hence i decided to get it serviced in Aug 2011 at Muscot Motors, Auth service center in Aligarh(UP).When i took my car there i was given an estimate of Rs 13500 towards the service and oil and filter change. Every thing in the 3rd service was similar to that of the 2nd service and for the 2nd service I paid onlt Rs 4500. Hence i asked the dealer for so much difference. I was told that if i had to get my car serviced in Aligarh then I have to paid that much else i can take my car back. So i took my car back and got it serviced at Agra Center where I paid only Rs 5200. I took up the case with the higher mngt of Fiat and launced several complaints. Following are few complaint no

          1-[protected] dt 5/11/11.

          Till date no action has been taken against the dealer in the meanwhile dealer has forwarded a fake certificate to the FIAT auth on my behalf stating that I had got my car serviced there only without any extra cost.

          I had reached upto the top level of FIAT India but not received any satisfactory answer from there side. They are still investing the matter.

            The case was filed by Ms. Madhubala in District Forum on 21/12/2004 regarding manufacturing defects in the FIAT Uno car purchased by her in 2002. During the case Atil Motors has appeared and Fiat India did not been appear in the Court on any date.

            The judgment passed on 23/05/2005 in favour of Ms. Madhubala stating that the car has manufacturing defect. Upon execution orders being issued, Fiat India appeared through its lawyer in the execution proceedings and got the judgment amended for refund of car instead of replacement of car saying that the company is no longer making Fiat Uno car.

            Fiat has neither given the cost of the car nor have they replied within the time period as per the judgment order. After having the order modified at their instance, they went in appeal in State Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission on 27/06/05.

            On 27/06/2005 Fiat India went into appeal.

            The case was heard in State Commission for 2 years from 27/06/2005 to 09/04/2007. Atil Motors has given statement that the orders were passed for Fiat India not to Atil Motors since the car has manufacturing defect so they were out of the case.

            The Fiat India contested the appeal on 2 grounds (1) they were not heard in District Forum (2) on merit, the car had no manufacturing defect. After hearing all the parties on merit, the State Commission passed its judgment on 09/04/2007 in favour of Ms. Madhubala again and Fiat was asked to refund the car cost with compensation to her as per the orders.


            NATIONAL CONSUMER DISPUTES REDRESSAL AT NEW DELHI

            The petition was filed by Fiat India in National Consumer Disputes Redressal at New Delhi. The case was heard in National Consumer Disputes Redressal for 2 years from 12/07/07 to 01/06/2009. Fiat India again stated that they were not heard in District Forum on merits, whereas they were not appeared in District Forum and they heard in State Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission for 2 years. The orders were issued on 01/06/2009 stating that the case will again be heard in District Forum as fresh.


            Finally I had to appeal to the Supreme court against the National Commission. The case is with the Honorable Supreme Court of India since then.
            My Submission.

            1. The case was heard at District Forum initially only when the summons were served to both the parties Atil Auto (Dealer) and FIAT (manufacturer), only one party appeared that is Atil Auto. I contested the matter on my own and argued as a Party. I was not made aware that both have to be heard at the court and that FIAT had not been served properly, the proceeding were carried out and Atil Auto said that the FIAT knows about it, as a consumer how do I know what is right and what is wrong in procedure. The case was heard and the verdict was given in my favour. Instead of paying they filed a petition at the State Commission, which also I conducted myelf. This time the case heard on merits and FIAT argued the entire matter as if there was no manufacturing defect in the car purchased by me. Still they lost and again the Judgment was in my Favor then against that judgment they went to the National Commission and there the whole case was reverted BACK TO THE SQUARE ONE by saying that the Acknowledgment Card did not had the Stamp of the Company, so they were not heard at the District Consumer Forum.

            2. I want to know what is my fault as a consumer what was happening all these years?

            3. Who was heard and Why???? At all the different levels of court????

            IF THIS IS THE OUT COME OF THE JUSTICE GIVEN TO A CONSUMER….THEN I AM SORRY…..”SO JAO GRAHAK SO JAO”….YOU ARE ONLY FALLING FROM FRY PAN TO THE FIRE……IT IS LIKE ANY OTHER CIVIL COURT…..MIGHT IS RIGHT …..CALL A DAY BY SAYING BAD LUCK…..BY THE END OF THE DAY.
            YOU WILL BE HAPPIER YOU LOST BECAUSE IT WAS A BAD DEAL…AND NOT UNDER GO FOR YEAR AFTER YEAR….TORTURE/WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY.
            I COULD ONLY CHALLIAGE THE JUDGMENT IN THE SUPREME COURT AND AFTER GOING TO THE MEDIATION CENTER FINALLY EVEN THE SUPREME COURT HAS GIVEN THE VERDICT IN MY FAVOUR BY ASKING THEM TO SUMMIT THE CHEQUE OF RS.3LACKS IN MY NAME…..SEE WHAT CAN A CONSUMER DO.

            Really it was a good fight against the company. As a Translator I have seen many of the consumer dispute cases and come to the conclusion that in many of the cases manufacturers do not appear or shirks his responsibility. Consumer has to follow up rigourously, then only he can succeed.

              I, Rameshbhai Patel owning a car Fiat Linea GJ6 DQ 3925 was completely damaged in an accident occurred on 9/05/2011. The car was sent for repairing work immediately on 10/05/2011. Since then till date, I have not received my car because of non availability of damaged parts. Company is manufacturing more than 10 cars a day and your dealer at Vadodara(Twins Wheels Pvt. Ltd.) is giving such a shameful excuse that a particular part needs to be imported and the talks are still going on for the same. Now I want either complete replacement of the car or the three years complete warranty of the car after receiving it as I am not at all aware regarding what parts are replaced or repaired in nearly six months.

                i have fiat linea emotion pack mh 02 510 . my car had been old for one year within one year my cars steering is not working and shockupser are not working i am tired of this type of harrasment i am going to kandivali west wasan motors service centre every month bt they have no sense to talk with the customer every time they just ignore this thing no they understood this thing then they are chrging me 12 to 15 kl for this thing i told them then what is the meaning of two yerar warranty again they r ignoring me i really hope u put a severe attention on my complaint pls give ans soon as poosiable then i will never take a tata car or fiat car and i will never recommand to others also

                fiat linea diesel emotion pack — not a good service from wasan motors employees r not giving ans what we ask they just simply arguing at all subject

                i mr ankit jain from mumbai borivali east want to complaint for wasan motors kandivali w for not giving a proper customer satisfaction service and answer in one year my car fiat linea is giving a lot of maintenace every tme i go it gives a 5kl to 6 kl expense in the car including free service
                i dnt understand company is giving 2 year warraanty then y i have to pay much money every time i hopefully trust that u take some sevre action

                  i wanted to inform you that i am fiat vehicle owner from 5 yrs but its parts are too costly if we take it too car service centers.the ppl in car centers are sometimes clueless about spare parts prices and even they don't have all parts available.i believe the prices of all o[censored]r spare parts should be available online so that we can check that which spare is available in store..............

                  even if you want to buy a software which can reduce ur customer woes i can build and provide it to you.........

                    THE EMOTION PACHED PUNTO PARCHASED FROM HEYSON-A TATA DEALER FROM THRISSUR IS MAKING ME MORE EMOTINAL,IN PUBLIC PLACES.LAST WEEK IT WAS IN KULATHUNGAL,A TATA SERVICE CENTRE IN THIRUVANANTHAPURAM,BUT IN VAIN TODAY THE SAME MISTAKE OF NON START,REPEATED.THOUGH I CALLED 24 HRS HELP LINE IN TVM AND KOLLAM,THEY DID'NT CARE.AFTER MORE THAN HALF HOUR IN PUBLIC ROAD,IT STARTED AND IT IS IN MY HOME.AFTER PAYING MORE THAN 7 LACKS FOR THE FULL OPTION IT IS MY DETINY TO SUFFER.I AM PLANNING TO FILE COMPLAINT IN THE CONSUMER COURT FOR THE COMPANSATION.

                        My vehicle no is BR01 AR 9212.I have submitted my complain several time to FIAT customer care but nobody is bother about it. I also given claim, regarding my vehicle to Bengal dealers(KB MOTOR) ,Bihar Dealers(Guine Motor), Jharkhand Dealer(ASL Motor) amongt three dealers to me FIAT co is not able to supply spare sparts on time.

                        Pl. where I got service properly where spare sparts is available.

                          I have purchased a Fiat Punto on 13th Aug 2009 from M/s Hemant Goyal Motors Pvt. Ltd. - Patiala and since its purchase i am facing many problems on my car as under:

                          Poor Mileage
                          Hard gear shifting
                          Gear noise
                          Bending of windshield beading
                          Problem in Blue and Me
                          Problem in clutch and many other problems

                          I brought my car workshop of M/s Hemant Goyal Motors Pvt. Ltd. - Patiala for regular free services and paid service done at M/s Dada Motors - Ludhiana and also for rectification of my above problems but still many problems still not solved. I am now very frustrated by my car and services of Hemant Goyal Motors Pvt. Ltd. - Patiala. I therefore request you kindly help me to rectify problem in my car.

                            I would like to file an official complaint against the shoddy service provided to me by Wasan Motors- Kandivali/Malad Service Centre (Sai Nagar). The service centre is attempting to cheat me in terms of repairs for my car.

                            Car: Fiat Punto

                            Secound Service issue.

                            Sequence of events:
                            In the first week of July I called Wasan Motors for a service appointment and was being offered a date of 22nd/23/rd July. However, I had to travel to Delhi around that time and hence asked for an earlier date ..however I was informed that I could call back once I returned from Delhi and then take a fresh appointment.
                            On returning I called Wasan Motors again in the first week of August and this time I got an appointment date of 19th August.
                            I gave my car for servicing on the 19th of August stating only 1 major issue as being some cracking/squeaking noise from the front side of my car.
                            Deval the service advisor checked the car and told that that he would need to replace a part which would cost around Rs 3000/- but I would need to pay for it as the car was outside the 2 yr warranty period.
                            I explained to him how it was Wasan which delayed my service and in any case was giving me an appointment originally after my 2 yr warranty period..he did some research on his part and then conceded to getting the job done without cost for that part due to the circumstances.
                            I collected the car on the 23rd of August after waiting for an hour at the service centre as first Deval had gone for lunch and later he was busy and hence could not attend to me. I asked him if he had tested the vehicle and he confirmed he did.
                            As soon as I drove a couple of kilometers on my way to office after picking up the car from the service center , I noticed that the problem was not resolved and the noise was still there. I immediately called Deval and informed him abt the same to which he asked me to get the car back to the service center.
                            The next day I got a call from Fiat for feedback to which I rated the problem as not solved.
                            Deval calls me the next day tells me that I should not have given that feedback to Fiat as it would affect his incentive and salary..he also passed a veiled threat by saying" aap aisa karoge toh relationship mein problem aayega"(If you do this (ie:give bad feedback), it will affect my relationship with the service center)...indicating that I will have trouble the next time I get my car for servicing.
                            I returned the car for servicing on the 27th of August to get the fault corrected...this time Deval gave me a manual job-card.
                            When I collected the car on the 30th Deval told me that he had this time replaced a belt and the problem was solved..i did a test ride of around 100 meters and it seemed that the issue was resolved.
                            However after a week, the same noise re-surfaced all over again. However due to my busy schedule I could not immediately come back.
                            I returned to the service center on the 21st of September to Wasan Motors (This time I took a friend along with me to be my witness as I realised there was something fishy going on.
                            Deval now makes a system job card and marks Re-visit as NO and repeat issue as NO.....he claims that sine my revisit on the 27th was a manual job card, the system only acknowledges my 19th Aug visit and issue resolution and hence it will be treated as a fresh visit for a new problem....on the job card he even tries to twist this by marking the issue resolution as something related to the rear of the car.
                            By this time, I was totally frustrated and Deval's attitude towards me was rather insulting.
                            So, I escalated the issue to the Service Manager MR. Anand Tripathi who was kind enough to patiently listen through the story of my ordeal dealing with the issue and dealing with Deval.
                            At this time I realise that Deval has conveniently not entered my revisit on the 27th in my history which is being reviewed by Anand..he also tells Anand that all he did on the 27th was greasing and hence no entries reuqired (you will notice here that I was told by Deval on the 30th that he changed a belt the second time- a blatant lie with an intention to cheat)
                            Mr. Anand assures me that he will personally look into the issue and have a different engineer look into this matter.
                            Today I got a call stating that the resolution of the issue is changing a part which will cost me Rs. 20000/- and since the warranty officially expired in July , I will have to pay for this.
                            I again called Mr. Anand to understand this because this is an issue which should have been resolved in the servicing itself which in itself was a delay from Wasan Motors due to appointment date availability which happened post the expiry of the warranty..though I had called 2 weeks before the warranty for a service appointment.
                            Mr. Anand has informed me that he has escalated the issue to Fiat Motors who will need to pass the approval for the cost..since this approval process may take more than a week, I was advised to get the repairs done, make the payment and eventually once the matter is resolved with Fiat, I could get my refund.
                            Under this agreement, I have agreed for the part to be resolved and I will make the initial payment.

                            I have also sent a mail to Tatamotors but my I should not have to pay 20,000 in the first place for a problem which should have been rectified within the warranty period.

                              We bought the Fiat Linea last year and then we realised the mistake we have made.
                              1. AC didn't work properly in the brand new car and got replaced. Manufacturing defect.
                              2. AC didn't work again after few months. Had to be repaired. Manufacturing defect.
                              3. Services provided during these few months were pathetic
                              4. And now to top it all, due to the rains the car stopped midway in Gurgaon. Took to the service centre. As per them water went inside the engine and a quotation of Rs2.15lac given as the engine is not under warranty. Now do Fiat people want us to believe that water can go inside engine just in the rains. Do they want us to stop driving the car during rains..This is the most ridiculous thing I've heard and Fiat people are least bothered. My car is there at the service centre for more than 20 days now but still no technical person from Fiat has bothered to respond on this.
                              Pl do not buy Fiat cars..they are totally unreliable.

                                I am one of your customer for Fiat Punto (emotion) and I bought this car 20th sept 2009. I am facing some very serious problem with my car and hope u understand and provide me the customer right.

                                1. Since I bought the car the performance was decent, but around a year back I got some spots of rust on my car mainly on hidden areas and then the problem was solved by my dealer and now again I got the rust on the same place where I got the treatment and as well as on the very much visible areas like right front door handle.

                                2.Second proof of cheap quality: I replaced my diggi around 3 months back and that new part of FIAT is also affected by the rust and this problem clearly reflects the sub-standard quality of fiat

                                I really don’t want write the supremacy of your brilliant car because more I write more I gets disappointed. This kind of problem not only objecting yours quality standard but also to my faith towards a firm which provides the best diesel engine around the globe.
                                The more frustrating part is this problem of rust starts from very first six month of buying, i really have concern about the person who bought the car from my recommendation and now the things are going at par. The problem starts from rust and list is countless which includes below average performance of AC AND VERY HARD GEAR SHIFTING PROBLEM

                                Its really out of my mind why shocker mounting needs to be replaced after every 3 months?


                                I am sending some pics showing rust as well as my dealer where I get service support.

                                Rusted areas including part
                                1. All four gates
                                2. Inside bonnet
                                3. Diggi (which I was installed 3 months back)
                                4. car floor

                                I am expecting NOT EXPECTING A PAINT COMPENSATION as it really degrades the quality and don’t solve the purpose. So its my right for replacing the every affected part from your side and I hope to see the same action as soon as possible.

                                Punto — Poor Average

                                I have punto petrol active. The average of car is very very poor. It gives 7 km/litre in local without ac and 14 without ac on highway. The local average is very poor and the dealer says it is 12-14. Please telp me is this true as this is not an acceptable average. I have got my first service and the dealer said it will improve after 1st service but it is same 7km/lt. I need to know whether its the real avg of car or the problem is with my car model only.

                                  I am writing to you in regard to an extremely unpleasant experience I had as a customer of your company. I purchased a motor vehicle from your dealership Guinea Motors Pvt. Ltd. in Patna ( Fiat Linea Emotion Pack, in 2010, Registration no. – BR 01 AX 2189). Unfortunately, the vehicle has not been satisfactory because of the following problems:

                                  1. AC is not working.
                                  2. Lighter is not working.
                                  3. Wiper Water Spray Outlet has to be replaced but not yet done because of “Out of Stock” always.
                                  4. Replacement of cover of fuel & brake oil pipes.
                                  5. Replacement of Steel Stripes of left side of back bumpers.

                                  When I attempted to resolve the issues with the dealership, I was rudely treated by employees. Your mechanic inspected my vehicle and agreed to fix the problem under warranty, however, when I collected the vehicle and started using it again, the problem was still there.
                                  I would appreciate it if you could organise to fix my problem as soon as possible.
                                  I look forward to settling this matter amicably. If, however, the matter is not satisfactorily resolved quickly, I will consider taking further action to resolve the complaint either through Consumers Forums or through the courts.

                                    I own a Fiat Punto Car bearing registration no. UP 32 DP 4700 which i bought few months back. Further I met with an accident on 03.07.2011 and intimated claim on 04.07.2011 bearing claim no.cv127973 at SRM Motors, Lucknow. My car's left front door and lock set got damaged. Now its 02.09.2011 and the parts are still not available at the dealer point from the Fiat company. I bought a new car and suffering from last 2 months to drive it just because of the reason that Fiat is unable to deliver the necessary parts.My point is this, that if Fiat is not well equipped and efficient enough to deliver the after sales services to the customers then why they had launched themselves in the Indian Market.

                                      MY VEHICLE FIAT PUNTO HAD HAD AN ACCIDENT ON 29TH OF JULY WHICH WAS SENT TO THE FIAT DEALER ASL BASED IN ADITYAPUR, JAMSHEDPUR. THE DAMAGED PARTS WERE THE REAR DICKY, REAR GLASS, REAR WIPER ETC. ALL THE REQUIRED PAPERS WERE GIVEN TO THEM THE SAME DAY FOR INSURANCE AND FOR 10 DAYS I HAD BEEN CONTINUOUSLY CHASING THEM REGARDING THE PROGRESS BUT THEY COULD NOT EVEN GET THE PARTS. WHILE PURCHASING THE VEHICLE THEY HAD ASSURED ME THAT I WOULD NEVER HAVE ANY PROBLEMS WHATSOEVER WITH THE PARTS AND SERVICE OF THE VEHICLE, BUT THEY HAVE NEVER COMPLIED TO THEIR PROMISES. I HAD EVEN MAILED TO THE PARTS HELP - FIAT. [protected]@fiapl.com TWICE STATING THIS PROBLEM BUT NEVER GOT ANY RESPONSE FROM THEM. I AM ATTACHING THE COPY OF THE SENT MAIL. SINCE LAST WEEK I WAS NOT ABLE TO GET CONNECTED TO THE CONCERNED PERSON WHO TOOK MY VEHICLE. CALLING UP THE OFFICE WOULD GIVE ME A NUMBER WHICH WOULD ALWAYS BE BUSY OR SWITCHED OFF. SOMEONE WOULD ASK ME TO BE ON HOLD FOR AN INFINITELY LONG PERIOD AFTER WHICH THE LINE WOULD GO DEAD. SUCH DELAYS HAVE AFFECTED A LOT IN MY BUSINESS AS I USED THAT VEHICLE TO TRAVEL TO ORISSA, DURGAPUR FOR PROJECTS. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME THAT I AM HAVING A COMPLAINT FOR FIAT FOR SERVICE PROBLEMS AND I AM NOT THE ONLY PERSON FACING THIS. YESTERDAY (31.08.2011) I RECEIVED AN SMS FROM THE FIAT PEOPLE THAT THE VEHICLE IS READY. TODAY (01.09.2011) I WENT THERE TO HEAR THAT THAT WAS A FRAUD SMS SENT TO ME BECAUSE IT WAS THE END OF THE MONTH AND THEY WANTED TO CLOSE ALL OPEN CASES. WORK ON THE VEHICLE WAS YET TO BE COMPLETED. EVERYDAY I AM TRAVELLING BY TAXI COSTING ME ATLEAST RS.500 PER DAY. I AM ATTACHING THE PHOTOGRAPH OF THE SMS SENT TO ME YESTERDAY. SERVICE PROBLEMS APART, IT'S A WONDERFUL CAR TO DRIVE.

                                        Problem in shifting gears

                                        My car is still an warranty period and have already faced problem of shifting my gears and have taken it to the service center 3 times. Shifting the gear from 1 to 2 is a big problem and is very difficult. Insipit of giving it to the service center 3 times they are unable to solve the problem and now they are saying they will need permission from Fiat to open the gear box and check and this may take 10, 20 or even a month....
