I have been using Fiat Punto 1.2 Petrol. The pick up is pathetic and driving on slopes is becoming very difficult. With AC ON, the vehicle is having hard time picking up and is not able to get the thrust. Even in normal straight roads, I have to give a lot of accelerator to move the vehicle. Adding to that, the mileage is literally less than 10. Have tried to raise this issue couple of times in Fiat Service Centres (Bangalore with KHT and Vecto), however they are clueless and are giving answers like that it is expected! With same range of engine and power we have better cars in market giving better performance. I would suggest not to opt for Fiat cars until you are really sure that the Service guy actually knows what he is dealing with. Else it is just waste of money in India!!

To summarize, I would say that Punto Evo (1.2 Petrol) is totally a slow machine which consumes more fuel and provides poor performance.

    I am using fiat linea for past 2 years, but when it was around 15000 km i noticed that, when at the speed of 50 km steering starts vibrating, even after all my alignment is done on every 2000 km. Then I showed it at hyson fiat palakkad kerala showroom service adviser number :[protected] and they said you had done alignment from out side so your tyre got inside torn. And after that i had a worst driving experience due to steering vibration.

    I some how managed my tyres to reach 37000 km by rotating and all, then i changed my tyre and done the alignment from service center, then again i noticed the same side pulling is still there and given to pinnacle fiat service center kochi which is 125 km away from my home and kept my car for 4 days and after when i drive my car the side pulling was less nearly nothing, so i went back home and on next week during my regular tyre air pressure check up i noticed a big differance in air on differant sides and when i corrected the air and drived my car the side pulling was same as before. The Pinnacle Fiat had cheated on me by adjusting air on differant tyres and which is more dangerous than before since my tyres will get torn more faster than before. And after i get to know that pinnacle fiat kochi is closed.

    Then during my service at 45000 km i visited hyson fiat kochi on 28/03/2017 my side pulling issue was more than before and after the service i kept my car at showroom itself from 29/03/2017 job card no: 6288, car no: KL 09 AH 9427, and even after one month my car not corrected even after all alignment check ups and even they tried with all other brand tyres on my car. And now they had found one reason which is utter blunder for this case to get delayed that my present tryes is Centara Vanty Touring and which is not recomended by fiat so change it to Bridgestone Tyres and take the inspection reports of the tyres. Which was unethical since the tyre given by the company was apollo tyres and the service center had tried with all the other branded tyres which was there at service center and still the side pulling was not corrected.

    Now from the service centre they are saying that they had done all possible things to your car but the side pulling issue is still continue and there is no further instructions from Fiat from last 2 weeks.

    The side pulling issue is there from the starting itself and its a manufacturing mistake thats the reason its not getting corrected.

    So its better to give my car back to fiat and refund all my money with all unwanted expenses and time which caused due to Fiat car manufacturing mistake.

      I own a punto dynamic, brought on sep 2014, from Mohandas Motor, Trivandrum..But now the showroom had closed permanantly..and vehicle registration no. is kl16m7207, One year after purchase i had seen some rust and show to the showroom and committed that they rectify, need to consult with higher authorities and will get back to.. But nor received anything from showroom.Registered a compliant and almost around after 2 years i had it cleared some of the rust from Pinnacle fiat, kalamasserry, Kochi. That too taken 2months to get it done, and the painting they done is the worst i seen in my life... How i accept this for my vehicle that i even purchased just 2 years...Fed up with all your service you provide... planning move legaly.

        I have a fiat punto sports model (Regd # wb-26s 4055, bought in 2013). The odometer stopped working and we took it to garodia and austin (Authorized fiat service centers in kolkata). Both denied the extended warranty even though its valid citing the reason that the 3rd party insurance claim is a hassle. They are ok to change the part if i pay upfront.

        Then i contacted fiat on 26-mar via twitter, facebook and website complaints section. I got a call on 27-mar but they are unable to resolve till date.

        While i paid for the extended warranty, it is not being honored.

          We decided to purchase Fiat urban cross car in the name of my mother from Shivani Automotives, Balaji Nagar, Kurnool in December 2016. So, my brother booked it on[protected]. We were assured by Mr.Ramesh Chandra (sales officer) and Mr.Ramesh.K (Head and Manager to receive the car in December 2016. After possible discounts, we finalized the price for 9, 40, 000 and finished the payment by[protected].
          Its been 4 to 5 times we visited the showroom for the delivery of car we choose but it never happened till date. During our last visit after 3 months, now Mr.Ramesh.K said either he will refund the amount(without interest) or may be deliver the car on[protected]not sure). This situation was shocking and we couldn’t imagine the resultant of long waiting. We can also proceed with consumer forum but to maintain the dignity of the brand we would like to inform you as the first step in this issue.
          If we invest such big amount in banks then we might have got nice interest for our money but we are still waiting for the car to deliver. This is the worst situation we could have ever imagined in our lives.
          We really loved this brand and dreamt of having our favorite car but this way of dealing is making us feel sad.

            I have spoken with Dealer staff and CRM head mr.mangesh.Still they are not even bothering of Customer voice.Which is not at all acceptable and need an appropriate action.

              I had met with an accident Monday, 13th Feb, night and in the accident my Fiat Avventura was badly damaged.

              I just wanted to highlight service concerns that I am facing with ABS FIAT Jaipur Workshop since last few days. On Tuesday we called up workshop to pick our vehicle and take that to workshop for repair; and to our surprise after multiple follow ups the driver called up and said that he will not come if we will not pay his transport charges to reach our home as company does not pay that to him. After this first hiccup; somehow we managed to get workshop guys to pick up our car after a delay of about 5 hours.

              After just high level inspection the guy said take the car to another dealer as we do not have parts and was not even very willing to order the parts from FIAT. After rounds of discussion he agreed to take the car to workshop and next day got the insurance survey done.

              Another surprise - a estimate quote that was given to me was almost 2 Lakhs; I have no issue with that if thats what it takes. However, since my insurance policy is not cashless, the dealer is asking this amount in complete cash. Really? Which world are we living in? 2 Lakhs cash?

              Moreover, after 4 days of my car pickup the work has not started yet stating that parts are not available and when asked if parts are ordered then I was asked 20% of cost estimate in cash in advance. I agreed for that as well; however again there was no receipt of this advance payment and dealer said just give this in good faith and we will start the work.

              I hope by these instances its clearly visible what kind of services FIAT is providing to their customers. After multiple follow ups I still do not have a estimate by when my car can be repaired and delivered back to me.

              I have given 30000 cash in advance and there is no receipt yet provided. No Insurance Survey Report was shared. Moreover, the dealer is denying to accept any other payment except CASH and threatens to take the car back as well if cash is not given for settlement !!

                Since i bought this new punto evo active model from jaika dealer, wardha since from day 1 the vehicle is lagging or braking on a constant speed of 60-70 km/hr not on a particular gear. Since day1 the dealer and all the associates of fiat are not listening to my problem and giving a new date. The workshop is 80 kms away from my hometown i want a solution from your side, or else ill move towards consumer court as per the law.

                  I have given Fiat Punto for service 8 months ago with complaints like
                  AC overflow, Insufficeint engine oil pressure error, airbag error, power window.
                  But still they couldnt resolve these issues. Everytime they used to say they will resolve this in 2 days. Their service managers Mr. Vivin or CRM managers not responding the phone calls. We need to travel around 12 kms to reach Fiat service (CAI Industries Lakshmi Mills, Coimbatore) I dont know when I can get the car back.
                  Their estimate was Rs.15000 and now they are asking Rs.140000.
                  The last update was excess smoke and Blue n Me wasnt working(which was working earlier).
                  I was fighting with Fiat service since I bought the car(2012) with same complaints. Earlier struggled with Forza Italia Madurai service center.

                    Ear sir/madam,
                    Sub: complain about the bad service on marvel fiat showroom - regd...
                    I (Ulaganambi. K) booked fiat – punto on 15.09.2016 with a token amount rs.10, 000 at your marvel motors showroom in thanjavur. While booking it they said rs.75, 000 is the offer amount and rs.31, 000 is the insurance amount for the car.
                    When i asked for bumper to bumper insurance they told me to pay extra rs.6000 separately. I paid the full amount on 22.09.16., including the extra rs.6000 amount. They said to deliver the car within 3 days and kept on delaying the delivery for every 2 days when i went and asked for it.
                    Finally they delivered it to me after a month (On 15.10.2016) saying that they finished registering the car. After 3 days they came back saying that they haven’t yet registered it and asked for the car to finish the register process on that day. And also for rs.18, 000 only they have taken insurance.
                    Even the delivered item fixing is not proper. The back seat of the car is not properly locked in its position. When i asked them to fix it they asked for rs.450 to be paid in advance. As far as i have seen, i have never had this kind of bad experience in any other showroom. I request you to solve the issue on refunding and pay back my balance amount.

                    Note:
                    I would like to say that you should consider changing the dealer if you are planning to run your showroom in a peaceful manner. If you keep on using the same dealer then there will be no trace left to say its existence.

                      Myself nilesh wadekar, i used to work as a driver at fiat's authorised workshop lifetime mobilities, kothari compound, thane.
                      Reason behind writing, that employee of fedup with management going around them. On behalf of other employees i took forward step to stop such harresments.
                      Normal salary of driver is 10000/-
                      Advisor salary 16000/-
                      Manager salary 35000
                      But at the time of salaries we receive less salaries compared to given salaries in words.
                      I have been hired on one month observation.
                      At the times of salary i was supposed to receive 10000. They payed me 3400/- as per there punching machine. Where i have signed 26 signature on muster book. My name was feeded on punching machine, after the date joining. As per punching machine they payed me 15 days salary. Where i was suppose to get around more then 8500.
                      This how management is working on there own will.
                      Lack of decency, lack of rules, lack of responsibilities have been seen with my eyes. There are thousand things to share but won't write much. Kindly take a serious action. Else i have other option of filling case against fiat at consumer court.

But the side service center ignored to provide that service to polio car. And harassed me again and again so I am sent this complaints to you for provide immediate service with in 24 hour otherwise I will file necessary complaints against you under consumer court. Due to not provide service u/s 12 of consumer protection act 1986.

                            The Service center is awful. I will not recommend to go and service your vehicle. There are many incident which i came across.
                            1 These guys do not understand the customer value.
                            2They never follow-up with customers. We have to keep on chasing them for status. What is this? Are they doing any obligations? No transparency, always delay in service.
                            3I don't understand why they commit when they never fulfill it?
                            4Poor management and lack of skilled and intelligent technicians.
                            My Punto EVO 1.3 MJD Emotion, i went to this service to fix the dent but they fixed it even worse. The front grill was changed and is mismatching with original. And when I asked, why they have used other grill than Original, Advisor said it's not available with us. It will be available by next week. I can't tell you, they didn't ask my choice. Also the minimal grey colour is sprayed on the rear suspension and the black becomes silver. Funny is it? They are not the serious with customer value.
                            The minus starts to this. Hope they understand the frustration.

                            I was proud that I own an Italian Machine, but these guys have ruined everything.

                              I have bought a fiat punto pure from the drs motors, faridabad for commercial purpose.

                              On 8th july, 2016 i have a booking amount of rs. 1 lacs to the dealer.

                              The bank has granted a loan of rs. 334000 and they provided the do along with the dd of said amount to the dealer on 13 july.

                              The dealer received the dd of rs. 334000 and do from the icici bank of 15th august. I paid the rest amount of rs. 110000 on 15th august.

                              The said dealer delivered me the vehicle on 25th july with a temporary registration.

                              The dealer promised me that he will get the ncr registration done from gurgaon within a week. But the very next day they informed me that ncr registration is stoped from haryana. So i will have to wait.

                              I waited for almost 1 week and contacted them. Now they were saying that registration is still not being done. So, ultimately, i requested the dealer the refund my registration amount of rs. 35000 which they have taken from me.

                              It was clearly mentioned in performa invoice that they are charging rs. 35000 against registration.

                              But till today, on 16h august neither i have received my registration amount of rs. 35000 nor they have get the registration done by themselves.

                              I have tried to speak regarding the director of drs motors mr. Mohamty but he is not giving any satisfactory reply.

                              I even tried to contact fiat india and lodged a complaint with them but they have not yet responded to my complaint.

                              I have already paid my first emi on 1st of august and the 2nd emi is due for 1 september.

                              I have parked my vehicl in my garage for last one month. Even when, i have paid the entire amount to the dealer and paying emi uselessly.

                              Please help me out.

                              I am on the verge of buying the same vehicle from DRS motors faridabad..The punto pure 2016 model..They are offering it at a discount...No I think if i want to negotiate with them, I should only negotiate on the ex showroom price and insurance..Rest all I should get it done by myself else they will also cheat me in the same way
                              Also let me know if you are facing any service issues and how was your problem finally resolved?

                                I got an avventura last year october from fiat bharat motors bhubaneswar
                                It's been 9 months and i got an alignment problem car is moving automatically towards left when i leave the steering
                                I went to the service and they did something still the same problem is occurring.

                                  This is selva from erode. My father and me dream about to buy a car more than 30 years. Atlast dream came true on 14jan2016. On god's grace we're planned to buy a car. On that time my uncle gave advice to buy new cars like i20, polo, swift or evo. At the time, i was a choose fiat car and then i asked my relatives and other friends about punto evo. Every said that fiat car is good selection its a ferrari product, in maruthi suzuki and tata company almost diesel are build by fiat only and these company are running because of fiat company and but we couldn't get good service for fiat cars. Every one suggested go to i20 or swift or polo, becuase these cars are good car for all puposes (Sales, service, market resale value and customer satisfaction). No one suggested the punto evo because of sales and service concerns. I heard about same kind of feedback about punto for last six years but i couldn't able believe and not accord this point, since how the company is running with same kind of concerns (Sales and service) for so many years.
                                  Then my father only gave the confident “do what you love and love what you did. Because travelling is going to be fullfill most part of every one life. So we should enjoy car both sense, feeling, driving and love”. I bought this car with biggest expectation and love.

                                  Everyone said fiat is always fiat. Don’t compare fiat with anyother cars.

                                  Atlast i got lots of problem, depression, fiat love failure, over pressure and lost the confidence, because of fiat-marvel poor sales and service. I don’t know this is a marvel fiat or fiat marvel.

                                  I will descibe about my concerns and explanations detailly. My plan is to book a brand new punto evo, white color 1.3 emotion 75hp diesel. I was bargined in the showroom for good offers from january onwards at all the showrooms in tamilnadu. At last i got good offers in these two showrooms. Fiat marvel, erode and the true sai motors, salem. Then one day i got the good offer on saturday, 14th mar 2016 from the true sai motors show room, salem.

                                  The true sai motors offer : 8, 80, 000 inr
                                  Vehicle cost : 7, 53, 000
                                  Insurance : 23, 000
                                  Rto : 1, 04, 000
                                  Offered price : 7, 90, 000 inr, including mudflap, floor mat, teflon coating.
                                  Vehicle cost : 6, 98, 000
                                  Insurance : 14, 000
                                  Rto : 78, 000 (Inclusion of temporary regisration charges and permanent charges)

                                  At the same time fiat marvel called and told that we can provide good offer compared to the true sai motors, salem.

                                  Fiat marvel offer : 8, 80, 000 inr
                                  Offered price : 7, 80, 000 inr, including mudflap, floor mat, teflon coating.
                                  Vehicle cost : 7, 53, 000
                                  Insurance : 23, 000
                                  Rto : 1, 04, 000
                                  Offered price : 7, 80, 000 inr, including mudflap, floor mat, teflon coating.
                                  Vehicle cost : 6, 98, 000
                                  Insurance : 13, 000
                                  Rto : 69, 000 (Inclusion of temporary regisration charges rs 3000 only)

                                  This is deal which was agreed by fiat marvel, representaive name : shanmugha priya – [protected]. Manager sasi – [protected]. Because i got the lower price compared to salem show room.

                                  Before i pay the initial amount, the sales person reprentative priya gave the threatening (Frightening) to me like “i have recorded voice of you and what you agreed to buy the car. If you didn’t buy the car means i’ll report this to higher officials and escalate this to many levels”. Then she phone call to my relative inform about the incident and problems. Then i said please wait for 2 months, because current serial will close at after two months and also this month is not a sentimentally good. I was humbly requested for “please wait for two month”. She rude speech with me “i have the recorded voice of you, what you agreed to me” or else if you take two months later you need to pay 2.5% tax extra (18, 000 inr). She said “this will give more burden to you, please pay immediately”. At conclusion i’m also agree the same because of so many compulsion from my relative and company side.

                                  Then i initially,
                                  12th mar 2016 - 20, 000 inr neft settlement, but billed on 14th mar 2016.
                                  15th mar2016 - 6, 00, 000 inr sbi bank loan got approved.
                                  19th mar 2016 – 1, 68, 000 inr, full cash.

                                  I declared that i currently i have that much amount, while taking the delivery time or once i get the salary means i’ll pay the remaining amount.Informed that i’ll pay the remaining amount later. Fiat marvel also agreed the same.

                                  Once i paid the down payment they showed their palpable (Real) face. They said your vehicle (Showroom peace) is ready here. You can take the vehicle at any time. However the vehicle was dispalyed in the showroom its has so many dust, dirty and so many persons handled the vehicle. I don’t want this punto evo. I requested them to plesae provide new one. Fiat marvel representative updated as “we are not giving any choice to you, there is only vehicle is there. So take it your own time”. I got upset and angry, since i paid the amount for new vehicle but how they provide dirty vehicle. Then we had a coversation nicely.

                                  I asked so many questions she simply said “kindly contact manager”. I was thinking about these people “what a human beings, they are”, while doing the initial payment they waiting for until 9:00 clock and talked to me clearly and politely. After the booking they are make u turn and speech is like a “who are you and i don’t care about you”.

                                  I got esclated this to fiat customer service about the fiat marvel poor service. Next day i got a call from the show room manager, he asked about the issue. After that i detailly explained about concern about her and what she had a conversation with me. Also i was got upset really because of her. Then i planned to surrender the car and to get the amount refund. Because i planning to go other company because of her worst experience. Then showroom manager asked me about her behaviour, manager sasi confirmed about hereafter this will not happen. Manager updated as if you need refund means we will follow the same. Then i’m agreed instead of fightinig better we’ll go smoothly. I’m waiting for tn 34 x nnnn serial registration completion. Show room people confirmed that underbody coating charge was 2, 500 only. I conformed that please do the underbody coating.
                                  Inbetween time i visited the showroom for many time to see the car, some people are see like me as enemy. They are look me like a some pakistan people or terrorist came to the show room.

                                  One day showroom manager called me about the new vehicle and i saw my new car and update about the new car small small scratches and wounds in the new vehicle. Then confirm that everything will rectify in the car while you take the deleivery of the vehicle. I also hoped that everything was rectified. On june 9th my brother and father took the delivery of my new vehicle called grand new fiat punto evo. On the weekend i went to home inspect about the car. Front got scratches and it was repainted but some of the scratches are still found in the front bumper. I don’t know why.

                                  On july month the registration time came because the tn 34 x nnnn is coming to end. Now i got the my lucky number and go for the registration gave all the documents. They updated as you need to pay fine, tax for 75, 300 inr

                                  On 4th july rto office people updated as

                                  I need to pay cost of 77, 300 inr for regisration, the total cost is 8, 60, 400

                                  I thinking about me. I’m a fool or mental. Because showroom people gave the offer for 1, 00, 000 inr. But now vehicle cost is nealry equal to without offer rate of 8, 80, 000 inr. There is only 23, 000 inr thousand only difference is there. I think that i am fool or somethig else.

                                  Immediately i called to showroom manager, i spoke to them regarding the extra charges. They updated as every details are correctly updated from our side. There is no pending charges from our side. I got so much frustrated, then i asked to manager “are you cheating to me”. Immediately manager got very very anger than me. Manager shouted to me as “who is cheating and do you know the meaning of this word, how dare to say this word in front of me” i replied as “it’s a good experience from you side, here after i’ll come to your showroom”.

                                  After 10 mins, i got a missed call and messages from the show room manager (Sasi), updated the mistake is happened from our showroom side. Fiat marvel is holding my excess amount 69, 280 inr. Because priya forget to update. Kindly co operate with shanmugha priya.

                                  Next day i called to shanmugha priya, she simply said call to my manager, it’s time to leave from the office. So i’m not responsible or else wait for 2 or 3 days to get approvals and updates. Then i got anger suddely she’s a cool person simply said “we’ll talk later”. Then i immediately talk to the manager, about the mail formalities, then we’ll process further. I don’t know what to do for this issue. I don’t know whether the fiat company is monitoring the fiat marvel showroon or not.

                                  On 8th july i went to the showroom and ask about the refund. I learned one thing in that show room. Nobody is ready accept there mistakes and problems. Everyone is try to shifted to other shoulders.

                                  1) rude speech with the customers
                                  2) incorrect billing amount
                                  3) agreed one thing and offering something else
                                  4) so many scratches in the new car, still not rectified
                                  5) floormat agreed was agreed but it’s still not provided
                                  6) customer need to followup for every updates, however showroom peoples are not interested provide
                                  7) 4 months completed, still i didn’t get a proper call or help from company side
                                  8) amount mismatch for every billing
                                  9) nobody ready to find the root cause analysis, everyone thought like its customer mistake
                                  10) i have the recorded voice and documents for the above mentioned complaints
                                  11) central lock and fog lamp is not working


                                  If i get a time, then i’ll plan case in consumer court against marvel fiat and fiat company.

                                  This is selva from Erode. My father and me dream about to buy a car more than 30 years. Atlast dream came true on 14Jan2016. On god's grace we're planned to buy a car. On that time my uncle gave advice to buy new cars like i20, Polo, SWIFT or Evo. At the time, I was a choose FIAT car and then I asked my relatives and other friends about Punto EVO. Every said that FIAT car is good selection its a ferrari product, In Maruthi Suzuki and TATA company almost Diesel are build by FIAT only and these company are running because of FIAT company and but we couldn't get good service for FIAT cars. Every one suggested go to i20 or SWIFT or Polo, becuase these cars are good car for all puposes (Sales, Service, Market resale value and Customer Satisfaction). No one suggested the Punto Evo because of sales and service concerns. I heard about same kind of feedback about punto for last six years but I couldn't able believe and not accord this point, since how the company is running with same kind of concerns(sales and service) for so many years.
                                  Then my father only gave the confident “do what you love and love what you did. Because travelling is going to be fullfill most part of every one life. So we should enjoy car both sense, feeling, driving and love”. I bought this car with biggest expectation and love.

                                  Everyone said FIAT is always FIAT. Don’t Compare FIAT with anyother cars.

                                  Atlast I got lots of problem, depression, Fiat love failure, Over pressure and lost the confidence, because of FIAT-Marvel poor sales and service. I don’t know this is a marvel FIAT or FIAT marvel.

                                    Dear friends,

                                    If you have plans to buy fiat avventura please spare few minutes to read this document before making any decision as this could save your 'life', until 9th july’16 04:45 am like every other avventura owners i was delighted & proud to own this vehicle (since ‘3rd may’15‘) however, my perception has been changed on 9th july’16 04:45 am as i encountered a near death experience  yes you’re reading it right, usually i drive my car a bit heavier like 90km/h plus as the wording by fiat says boring is dead. adventure comes calling so i blindly trust the 4 discs on the bad boy however the wording has been merely changed to ‘adventure is dead & the real death comes calling’ without further ado let me describe my experience, like every other day my shift got over by 4:00am & i started to commute to home, just 2 miles away from my office location there is a signal since it’s early in the morning nobody follows the rules (i know there are some who doesn’t follow it anytime) i was cruising around 50km/h & there is a vehicle ahead who’s waiting to take a u, hence i slightly took a left to pass (after checking the left side mirror as well as the rear mirror) & there comes a who doesn’t have patience & as if he is driving on a track he tried to pass first hence i’ve applied the so called brake & guess what? brake failure (the brake was as hard as a stone, alike foot rest in an automatic vehicle) for a fraction of second i blamed myself that i didn’t apply the brake (as i had such faith in fabbrica italiana automobili torin the italian stallion) but still no go then i triggered the sixth sense to do the job, as i almost gonna bump into the who is steering ahead of me, i had to use the following brakeing formulae (since i play nfs i gained these tactics however fiat had given me the opportunity to experience it & apply it in the real life ) so oh! yeah, the formulae, if you are gonna buy fiat you should know this for sure, panic brakeing coupled with the hand brake & hard steering to pull the vehicle off the road, so there you go for a few minutes i was completely blank & shivering unsure of what the heck just happened!. then i had called my friends to inquire what should i do (since my soul is half way through to hell & commuting back to earth, i had to reach out to another human being who is physically as well as mentally present on this planet ). my friends have told me to start the vehicle & check the brakeing, if it still the same then contact the help desk either for emergency road assistance or least some suggestions on what can be done to mitigate this, so then i checked my phone book for number unfortunately, there is none hence looked at the service booklet & dialed the number for some reason i was unable to connect tried few times then i gave up.

                                    I tried to start the vehicle again after 20 minutes & tested the effectiveness of the brake, i would say it worked 10% but hard to apply it very hard to gain that 10%, i started driving home at a speed of 20 – 30 km/h again toggling gears from between 1-3, somehow managed to reach home, i tried to contact the support again someone has answered my call & he gave the opening script with a fumbling voice and in less than a minute he hung up on me, tried couple more times the same hence again gave up trying to reach support. waited for 10am drove the car again at the same phase to the nearby service center (ramkay fiat kattupakkam), explained my situation to a guy, he immediately asked a service engineer to address my issue. the engineer checked the vehicle & said the brake booster is gone (brake valve / tube, no vacuum from the brake booster or something whatever all those are jargons & alienated words to me) he then said i had to change it immediately i said yes please go ahead, guess what no spare part available  the guy who sits at the spares is a crazy who doesn’t know how to address a customer i was standing beside the engineer, he gave a very weird look as if i have done something very wrong, no greeting no smile no empathy nothing, such a worst treatment after paying 10+lakhs & facing a tragedy. he said it cannot be done it will take 15 plus days to receive the spare & i have to pay 50%, i moved away & phoned a service center located in ambattur, they asked for vehicle number, vin number (std, code road blah blah) then the representative told me that she will check & get back to me, i was on the road thinking what next? whether to drive to ambattur / velachery! what if half way through if they say no spare! so waited for the call almost an hour & half no response nothing  hence i had to take the vehicle to a nearby third party service center hoping least i could get a temporary solution to this problem as i had a family engagement to catch which would take place 200kms from chennai (i almost forgot to call out this, it was a very important catchup which takes place in our family after many years almost a decade, but everything screwed up nicely & i was unable to join them)
                                    So coming back to where i left off, the third party engineer too said the same thing & he also added saying it will only be available with so called fiat so don’t waste time in searching for a solution from 3rd party (least he’s got some customer service skills & courtesy). then i phoned the ambattur branch again to check on the status, the same lady answered the phone & said she is still checking on it, i asked for her superior, he came on the line & said spares needs to be checked using vin number so cannot be done immediately, also i got a gist of what you’re looking for (looks like he understood from what i have described to the lady before) he also said the same thing that it would take 15 plus days & i have to pay 50% as advance money  (approximate estimation is around 5k, i paid 10lakh to take this vehicle & fiat is not believing a customer for 5k  such a sickening & ruthless response from the service centers). then i narrowed down my thinking & finally phoned the branch from where i took this vehicle, went through the same loads of questions & he said pay 50% advance it will take 15 days to receive the parts, then i asked until then? he responds we cannot do anything about this (no empathy nothing, by now you would have understand the amount of frustration that i would have gone through, decided to go back home as the time was around 12:30 pm i didn’t even had a glass of water since morning & i was awake since 8th july’16 04:00pm. after reaching home i said to myself give one last try to call the support, i dialed the number some lady answered the phone, i’ve narrated the entire story & there you go almost after 10 plus hours after the incident i hearing i’m very sorry to hear this, do you need any roadside assistance? finally felt the taste of humanity, i then asked her to help me to find a solution for the problem asap least before eod, she placed me on hold for some time & she resumes back saying sorry to say this we do not have any immediate fix for this problem, seems the service center folks had to place the order for the spare & it would take 15 days for it to reach (in today’s time & with the age of technology that has been evolved, hearing it would take half a month for a spare to reach the support center! which then triggers a question to me, have i done any time travel to 60’s or 70’s! we are getting products from us/uk & even from farther countries in just 2-3 days, saying 15 days which questions the care & service from fiat to their customers) alright sorry for deviating away from the topic, alright let’s go back to the tragedy of journey to hell i then suggested the representative that how about organizing a spare vehicle for me in the meantime, as i won’t be able to drive this car any further & if you would have heard the response of what i heard from the rep you would’ve put this vehicle for scrap & sue fiat & the lady says “we don’t have such policy in place & we won’t be able to do anything beyond this” i lost my patience & started to vent my frustration out on the call, she then placed me on hold to check further, she came back with the same story, i asked for a supervisor/manager & kept telling me that we can’t do anything about it. after me using the weapon “the word legal” she started to consider what needs to be done to get rid of this, she then conferenced me with a service center manager who’s located 40 miles away from where i’m still curious to know why on earth she conferenced me to someone who’s almost located in another state & how the heck is she expecting me to commute there!!! when my vehicle condition is switched from abs to nbs (no-braking system) the service center manager then suggested me to go back to the nearest service center again (as he would be educating the service engineer with some troubleshooting techniques! which i wonder why these guys weren’t trained in the beginning) so got some slight hope that ok least someone is trying to help me with this problem.
                                    The same manager called me again & he gave the nearest service center manager contact number with the name, i reached the service center in 15 minutes & this time the way they received me is totally upside down compared to the hospitality that i’ve received in the morning, warm greeting & service with a smile, glass of water, a place to sit with 2 fans, then the manager said that he’s going to drain brake fluid & change the dot3 to dot4 & see whether it helps to solve the problem (i know you might be asking what now? sorry i didn’t call out this part, ok this takes us almost 12 hours back, and sorry i don’t have the option to put a mosquito coil rotating in anti-clockwise ) so while i was commuting to work from home just a kilometer before my office premises a warning has been popped up @ my dash, which states me to fill the brake fluid as it was nearing empty, i didn’t had any other choice apart from pulling my vehicle along the side of the road, i then walked off 100 meters luckily there was a gasoline station & bought dot3 brake fluid, unfortunately they didn’t have dot 4 that time (my 3rd service was overdue by just 28 days also i get know about this only after reaching the service station as i didn’t get the service reminder which i’m supposed to get as per the design, so the service engineer said that the previous service was not done properly, seriously ) so let’s continue the tragedy, the manager instructed the service engineer to drain the dot 3 & add the dot 4 to check whether it helps to resolve the problem, waited patiently almost an hour plus, they have changed the brake oil & the engineer took the vehicle for a test drive (i was hoping that the problem would’ve been resolved, but the try was a failure at the end) i totally gave up & said keep the vehicle with you & do whatever you gotta do & i walked off from the service center after getting the service token receipt from the service advisor. so it has been a week now still, i don’t see any sign of work towards fixing this problem.
                                    Every time i phone the manager the response i get is we are working on it give me a day/two, blah blah blah that’s it, today he gave me an update that he will try to give the vehicle by today eod, on top he also added that i need to pay for the spare (the vehicle is still under warranty, cold hard fact of life, i then asked him why would someone pay for a spare when the vehicle is under warranty? he fumbled for a while & no clear answer for it) what i speculate from the conversation is he’s trying to take advantage of the brake fluid change from dot 4 to dot 3, but i’ve checked in numerous forums & sites many users are called out that 3 & 4 there aren’t any much differences (i’ve captured some voice of the customer here, “that leaves dot 3 and dot 4 fluids. these fluids are compatible with each other and may be interchanged or mixed with no ill effects." courtesy – bmw forum)
                                    So now my question to fiat is why on earth you would approve a so complicated & very fragile brakeing booster design? aren’t you care about your customers? or do you follow ship & fix method? after paying almost 10 lakhs now i had to commute using private cabs (my wife is carrying & if there is an emergency what i am supposed to do? call 101 for ambulance service?) i seriously didn’t understand your customer policy unsure of the maniac who designed? would he know what is customer service is all about? if not please feel free to let me know, i will for sure take a training / coaching session on what is a true customer service is all about, please learn something from your competitors (the reason being in the past i had owned a suzuki swift & there was a very tiny problem around the wheel alignment, it was actually my mistake that i had reached the service station around 7:00 pm, the service engineer said it would least take 4-5 hours for the general service as well as few minor glitches that i had complaint about, i said i don’t think i would be able to spend such time as i’m on my way to my work, you know what would be the response from him? which i didn’t even dream of, he said please leave the car here, we will provide you a spare vehicle which you can use to commute to work & we will have the vehicle ready the next day around 11am, i was astonished by his response & greatly impressed with the customer service. after i have gone through all these hell hard times, if my financial situation would’ve been right i would for sure throw this vehicle & move on with a different competitor but unfortunately, i’m not in a position to shell out anything at the moment. so i would like to hear what would be the response from fiat for this chaotic experience…

                                      I have bought fiat linea basic diesel on march 2015, my engine
                                      and chessey no is. mca110kdb09037948chz, till now i haven't get my excise
                                      payment refund, i have tried several time to the dealer to whom i have
                                      bought that so they are only saying you have to contact direct to the fiat
                                      customer,

                                      Its very shameful for me as well as for you that i have to do
                                      complaint regarding this.

                                      My lots of friend bought the car after me and they have already got there
                                      excise refund.

                                      this is my humble request kindly help me out, awaiting for your
                                      positive reply.

                                        My fiat punto Disel was given for body shop work and 60, 000 KM service

                                        Its been 5 days, vehicle not delivered
                                        • Delivery date : postponed three times
                                        • Estimated cost except warranty items: No reply
                                        • Informed not to do underbody coating, : He stated that it was completed before body work, Really? (body shop told service can’t be done without completing their job)
                                        • EGR cooling 2 day, really what cleaning they doing?
                                        • There was no Issue with brake or suspension, only lubrication needed. Now they say to change the suspension!
                                        They slipped the bolt for wheel fixing, now it went to lathe ! and asking to pay for their mistake..
                                        • Poor responsibility, gives feeling o[censored]ntrustworthiness !

                                        Altogether, the services was poor and vehicle not delivered yet! (not even committed a time or date)

                                        Never buy a Fiat car...!!
