My dad is hospitalized in icu for pacemaker lead change.. The lead got changed yesterday and his external pacemaker support was supposed to be taken off today morning.. And it was clear instruction by the senior doctor for the resident senior doctors to take that off.. Bt no staff turned out till 3. And when enquire d it was found that there was no bed to shift him in general hence this delay. How can such a big hospital have no bed.
Secondly even in icu there is no proper care.. So many issues of staff not remembering to give critical medicines even after reminding more than 5 times
No hygiene maintained in icu. Urine stained pants and bed kept for more than 3 hours inspite of repeated reminders.
No companions allowed in icu.. But if they are taking such sort of care in icu they better start allowing people.. Not expected by a hospital with such big accreditation to behave this way.. Total mess of medical health care.. Poor than any nursing home.. But charges are 5 times more than any nursing home.. I hope some senior management reads this..

          Hi,

On 11th may i suffered from vomiting and bad stomach and i reached your hospital at "b-22, sector 62, noida"

I reached at around 4:20 and doctor attended me at around 4:30, doctor (Kshity anand) asked me about the food i have taken yesterday night and some other questions which is required for medication

He told me that we are not going to admit you and we will give you some medication. If you wont feel better then you have to come back again

Then they did check up ecg, bp, fever, glucose by glucometer etc etc. They told me that you have fever also 99.8 and your heart beat rate is also high, so we are going to give you injection and drip and you will be normal. By this time another female doctor also joined him

At 5:10 drip was over and i asked the attendant about the doctor, she told me that doctor kshity has left and there is a emergency case female doctor (Dont know her name) is busy in that and she will be back in 10-15 minutes

At 4:25 attendant came back and told me that doctor is saying to discharge you. Another person came and ask me that is there is anybody with you and i said no i am alone, after few minutes he came back with card swapping machine in his hand and asked me about are you registered or something with our hospital. I told him that yes i am as i have came here eariler also for some check up. He told me that after your corporate discount your bill is 4963.

I asked him can i see the bill he said "no" we can print the bill once you make the payment without this we can not print the bill.

I just want to know the following things

          - charging rs. 2620 (Er level iii charges) apart from the drugs, consumables, investgation, consultation for one and a half hour using your bed in a observation room is as per the the "fortis" policy or this is self made policy by the persons who have attended me.

          - cant a patient see his bill before paying it.

And if both the above mentioned is as per the policies & norms of "fortis" then am really sorry to say that you should relook/realign or change your policies.

Attached herewith the bill along with the medical perciption

Early response along with the some solution would be appreciated.

          Regards

            Highly unprofessionally managed hospital.

My father in law was admitted to fortis hospital for a pre scheduled angiography on 18th jan.2016 at 9:23 a. M. He was diagnosed with blockage in 3 main nerves by dr. Hasmukh rawat. He suggested for an "emergency" admission in the same hospital & suggested for "emergency" coronary artery bypass surgery (Cabg) to be performed by dr. Anvay mulay..
We immediately admiited him and the surgery was to be scheduled on 20th jan 2016 at morning around 8 a. M.

On 20th jan 2016 at around 7:45 a. M. The staff told the surgery is to be postponed as there was "emergency" last night and the doctors were too exhausted to perform a surgery.
Ok. "emergency" is understood, but since it was last night when you has an "emergency" why were we not told in morning at around 5 a. M or 6 a. M. The patient was "inpatient" in the hospital itself & he was accompanied by a family member. All the relatives who normally rush in this situation are starnded by such irresponsible answer & arrogant behavior by such a big institution.

The major surgery being rescheduled on 21st jan 2016 at 8:00 a. M was supposed to performed on time but another "emergency" was attended night before and same way at around 8 a. M. We were again told that the doctors are not in state to perform surgery.
Emergency is understood, but twice you reschedule a major surgery just because you have another emergencies. In spite of the fact that the patient was admitted under an emergency. What the hell are you saying guys.

You are hopeless, disgusting, arrogant, rude, professionals.

If i ever have to suggest anybody it can`t be this hospital.

            Warm regards,
            Confused & troubled erstwhile in-patient.

              Dear concern

I visited the emergency ward on 15 May 2016 at 11.00 am in the morning along with my father Shri. R.K. Aggarwal.

My father eye had an infection due to Honey bee bite and his eye got swelled like anything, unable to open.

But advised by the emergency doctor that at present eye specialists are not available. Though they have given medicines.
But this is highly unacceptable and unethical Such a big hospital doesn't had a eye specialists.they were referring the case to other hospitals.

Very poor diagnosis and procedure done on my mother. When we visited him in November, he had told us that the surgery can be avoided and to wait. However looking at my mothers pain, we went for surgery. He guided us to go for laser treatment and told us it is effective. Based on that, we got my mom operated in Hiranandani Hospital. Post operation, my mom was told that she could be normal and she could fly, walk and do anything she wants. However even after 1.5 months post operation, my mother's pain was unbearable. On meeting the DR, She was advised bed rest for a week. Even post that the pain was unbearable. Due to his busy schedule, Dr. Mhatre called her to Fortis hospital. There, she was made to wait for more than 2 hours post which Dr. Mhatre turned up. He directly sent her to dopler test where her tests were taken. The Dr. Testing her told her there are some perforations and marked it in her thighs and chaff muscles. Dr. Mhatre upon his arrival cut the other Dr. In the middle and says there is nothing and that she should visit a spine surgeon!! That is when my mom realized there is something fishy and his intentions were to just take money from us. MOST IMPORTANTLY - MY MOM WAS NOT GIVEN HER DOPLER REPORTS SAYING THAT IT WAS INTERNAL AND THAT SHE HAD NOT PAID FOR IT.. SHE INSISTED TO PAY DOUBLE yet the Dr. who tested it deleted her test reports.. I really want to sue Dr. Mhatre if guided well.. We took a second opinion in Vijaya Hospital Chennai.. it was found that there were various Blocks in the vein and Dr. Mhatre had not done the surgery well at all.. Now, my mom is under bed rest and in total medication and is finding relief.. I really want to sure this Dr. who puts his business beyond everything else and fools around with his patients.

I went to the hospital with my father, he was suffering from uti problem. We were having corporate insurance policy. Before admitting, i went to administrator by name ms. Varalakshmi p, to check about the approximate non medical expense per day. The figure she indicated was very difficult to digest. She said it could be rs. 6000.00 or even more per day. Which is 10 times more than any similar hospitals in bangalore.

I would like to request the concerned department to look into the issue and save patients who get admitted their with the insurance. The administrator ms. Varalakshmi p needs some training as to how to handle people, she is very very inhuman. Hospitals needs to know that you are dealing with human beings and not animals and let them teach that to their staff.

As you all know non-medical expenses are not covered under insurance. Check these things before getting admitted to fortis hospitals, wcr. You will end up paying through nose.

On 26/04/16 my mother was admitted for Urosepsis and the family physician had recommended catherization as bladder and stomach was distended. CRP was found out to be 390.

Claseibella and E coci was diagnosed. Morepenam was administered. Colistin was started after few days. CRP became 109.

Fresh bacteria Enterococcus faecum was diagnosd with CRP jumping to 250 after a week of admission

The urology Dr Sreenivas was called on 2/05 and advised lower abdomen USG. No review was recommendec and I went pillar to post for urology dr to see. He went out of station and my mother was seen by a junior dr after three days . Meanwhile my mother suffered.

I am asked to wait until Monday 9/05 for cystoscopy while he returns . Is this acceptable ??

I have taken a decision to shift my mother .

                    Complaints :

                    1. Why was the urology dept referred so late after admission

                    2. Why was a review after USG was recommended done after 72 hrs of first reference by Urologist.

                    3. Why do thr pt have to wait for Urologist Dr Sreenivas to return from out of station. Why an alternate dr was not appointed for Cystoscopy.

I have borne a huge cost without proper treatment and I am shifting patient.

All medical advices can be produced to support above claims.

                      HI,
My uncle was admitted to Fortis Vashi for a brain tumor removal surgery. The surgeon and his assistant are very good, however, the ICU staff and the ICU doctor - physician are not. Infections happen in the ICU but there are no sterile clothes and masks or removal of shoes when one has to visit the SICU. Due to this vulnerable patients end up getting infections and it is upto to them if they want to shift the patient to the ward or not.
The nurses in the ICU do not look after the patient nor do they have any equipment that will monitor the patient especially if they have any fever or the Cather infection. They don't check the patient for any symptoms that might cause any further complications. The Dr in charge of the ICU just puts his name on the visit list and it is billed to us. We are not shown any reports and if we want to have any particular blood tests done, it is not permitted.
Basically the hospital wants to only make money by putting the patient in the ICU saying that they will be better off there which is not true as the patient gets more sick in the ICU. And to add to the inconvenience caused we are constantly reminded every second day to make payments and then too there is no response that is given to the relative about the patient. This is all very wrong, because we come to a hospital like Fortis due to its name but sadly the standards don't live up to the said name.
Constant charges are put for tests which we are only told to sign. For medicines unless we get a financial approval the patient is held as a hostage.

Is Fortis running a mafia gang or a hostage programme? I fail to understand because we trust hospitals with our lives and they play around with it making money out of the illness of a person not bothering from where is a person supposed to pay the money if he is in the hospital. This is not the only hospital ive seen a bad ICU seen it before also in another hospital in Mumbai. This is a money making racket by holding the patient hostage till the hospitals pockets are overflowing.

If you want to be a hospital then understand the meaning of hospitality and why a patient should refer your hospital to others. If this kind of a behaviour in the ICU continues it wont be far that the hospital will be in trouble and the resident doctors also will be held responsible for forgetting why they became doctors in the first place.

And the other staff members rather than being rude, teach them manners and etiquettes. If you cannot then hire someone to teach them etiquettes, personal hygiene and how to respect others if they want respect themselves.

DO NOT PLAY WITH THE LIVES OF PATIENTS BECAUSE ONLY IF A PATIENT RECOVERS WELL THEN WILL THEY REFER YOUR HOSPITAL TO OTHERS. DO NOT BLACKLIST YOUR HOSPITAL BECAUSE YOU ARE ONLY INTERESTED IN MAKING MONEY AND NOT CURING THE PATIENT ESPECIALLY THE ICU PATIENTS.
No star rating should be given to this hospital

My son admitted to hospital and doctor suggested urine test. I submitted the urine sample in 5 min(9:15 PM) to Nurse and she sent it to the lab with in 15 min(i.e. 9:30 PM). When I checked the report, it was informed to me that sample was submitted to lab after 4 hours. Even I am sure due to laziness by lab people, I always doubt that tests done in fortis escorts are not correct due to which diagnosis is not done appropriately.
Request to avoid SRL at fortis faridabad.
I speak to them, they mentioned that server was down so time entered is 4 hours later but actually it is started at time the sample received. I have no choice except to trust them.

It's been 6 months that I have deposited 10k in Hiranandani fortis Vashi, Navi Mumbai for my delivery.
Inspire of regular follow up, I have been getting false promises but my money has not been re funded back.

I am going to raise a complaint in consumer court now.

                              Sir,
I Hemant Mhaskar working in ONGC, here by complaining about poor service provided to me by your hospital, which are as follows:
                              - I had taken an appointment for regular P.M.E for my self & wife on 17.03.2016 and also had taken an appointment for skin specialist for my son for 22.03.2016 & was confirmed by your executive.
                              - After arrival at hospital it was told that an appointment of P.M.E was not registered but an appointment of skin specialist was confirmed.
-Since both appointment were taken at same time but one was confirmed & other registration was not done.
-For this all the way I went from Kalundre village, Tal: Panvel & I had left house early morning to reach for scheduled time.

Your Hospital in view of above it seems that how poor service is being provided by you though advertise of hospital is made with high class caring service.

                                  Dear sir/ madam,
I, Rakesh mhatre, visit'd fortis hospital in vashi as a visitor. I feel very strange about the security guard and staff misbehaving with patients and visitors just like they shouting, improper language, even though they don't see whether it's small child or old age .I read ur guidelines .it's very nicely implimented BT this misbehaviour with customers not good for ur reputation.lots of people talking about only misbehaviour..which they said security guard don't afraid of complaints. I feel personally plz take this complaints granted...There must be good communication between hospital staff ..security with customers. I hope u will understand my view

I had taken my wife to Fortis Hospital, Mulund as she was feeling giddy. We met a Senior lady doctor who is a Neurologist. After hearing our case she advised tests worth approximately Rs.20000. It was not a very serious complication & hence we did not do the tests. Instead we went to a simple MBBS doctor in our area again. The doctor explained the reasons for my wife's illness in detail & gave medicines. She was alright in the next 3 to 4 days. It is surprising that highly qualified MD / MS doctors need so many tests to be done before diagnosing the disease whereas a simple MBBS doctor can diagnose it without any reports. This modus operandi of the doctors is just to fleece money from the patients by prescribing costly tests which most of the times are unnecessary. God save us from these kind of doctors.

This is with reference to the treatment given to my wife Mrs. Suman Gupta at Fortis Hospital, Noida. I am writing this letter in immense sorrow and grief as my dear wife expired due to improper treatment and unethical practice carried out by doctors at Fortis Hospital, Noida. I would request you to set up an enquiry regarding treatment given to my wife as she died due to unethical practice by unscrupulous doctors- Dr Devavrat Arya (Oncology), Dr Vikas Goswami(Oncology), Dr Ajay Bhalla (GI surgeon), Dr Deepak Hans(Conventional Radiologist), Dr Prashant(ICU), Dr Pankaj(ICU), Dr Seema Sinha (Blood Bank) who are directly responsible for my wife’s untimely death when she was on verge of good improvement from pancreatic cancer.
                                        1. My wife was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in the month of July 2015 at Fortis Hospital Noida . She was put on first line of treatment of chemotherapy with Gemcitabine and Abraxane to which she tolerated well. Because she was healthy- physically and mentally, she was doing well all through this. After completion of two cycles, her PET scan test showed improvement in liver metastasis lesions which were barely discernible. Doctors were surprised with the kind of improvement she was making and they often told my wife, me and my son this is unbelievable. But surprisingly, Dr Devavrat Arya and Dr Vikas Goswami changed her existing treatment plan to second line of treatment of Chemotherapy with high dosages of Capacitabine and Oxiplatin which ultimately led to her untimely death. As soon as the chemo drug regime was infused to my wife, she complained of severe vomiting and nausea which doctors told is a side-effect of the drugs. After a discharge, she arrived home on 25th September 2015. But the side-effects were so prominent that she had to be again admitted on 28th September 2015 in Emergency at Fortis Hospital, Noida. Later, I consulted Dr Manish Singhal, Senior Oncologist, Apollo Hospital Delhi who told me that when she was improving with the first line of treatment, why was it changed to second line and that too with such a heavy drug regime? It means either Dr Arya and Dr Goswami were experimenting on my wife or it was an intentional step?

                                        2. Dr Ajay Bhalla is an Unethical doctor at Fortis Hospital, Noida. He did not put stent properly into the Common Bile Duct and he left stenting in Duodenum which should have been done earlier itself. He kept her on hunger and thirst (when she was asking for food and water) for almost entire month during which her immunity decreased immensely and she developed septicaemia (sepsis infection) which took her life.

                                        3. My Wife was kept untreated in ward from 28th September 2015 to 7th October 2015.As-a-result, she developed Septicaemia (severe bacterial infection).Sepsis infection was not diagnosed on time which got worsened. High dose of antibiotics could not overcome sepsis infection. This was quite frustrating because infection could have been prevented if doctors have started treatment early.

                                        4. Dr Devavrat Arya and Dr Vikas Goswami are the two most unscrupulous doctors who planned shifting of my wife into ICU. But caring at ICU was not good. Many times I observed sisters did not keep an eye on vitals on monitor. Infact, they did not keep an eye on other patients as well. Attendants of other patients expressed similar concern while discussion with me. My wife told me that in night, no sister was there when my wife asked water to drink. Condition of ICU is not good. Water flasks are untidy and have foul smell which my wife told me which I found to be correct and showed to ICU doctors who told me to replace with bisleri bottle for her. Next day, again untidy flask was there. I told this to doctors and sisters but there was no change. When my wife was put on ventilator, I frequently observed that whenever there was urine discharge out of diaper it was not attended by sisters unless I observed and communicated same. Many-a-times, Dr Devavrat Arya and Dr Vikas Goswami did not visited my wife during she was admitted in ward and ICU and asked in-experienced resident doctors to visit her while billing was in their name. Dr Devavrat Arya and Dr Vikas Goswami took leaves in between without letting us know during the undergoing treatment. As a result of which proper review of medicines and health of my wife was compromised. This was when I and my son were in regular touch with these doctors but they never bother to tell when they would take leaves.

                                        5. Dr Deepak Hans (Interventional Radiologist) is another unethical doctor at Fortis Hospital Noida who did PTBD to relieve symptoms as previous stenting failed. He left my wife in state of extreme breathlessness after the procedure. Before procedure my wife was in normal breathing state but soon after procedure she was in a state of extreme breathlessness and neither Dr Deepak Hans nor any doctor in ICU attended her until my son arrived to see her after an hour. That was literally a state of death as my son told me while describing the pathetic situation of my wife.

                                        6. Dr Prashant (ICU) and Dr Pankaj (ICU) are two culprits who put my wife on ventilator support when she was in a state of extreme breathlessness instead she could have been given dry oxygen (Bipap). This was a very incorrect step taken by them when I took opinion from doctors from other hospitals. This is un-imaginable scene at this hospital. What can one expect from these medical experts?

                                        7. Dr Seema Sinha (HOD Blood Bank) is the most unsympathetic doctor who refused blood transfusion to my wife who was critically ill in ICU on ventilator support as blood replacement was not available. For Blood plasma was they asked me to go to Fortis Hospital, Shalimar Bagh to collect. At that time, my wife was on ventilator support. It took 7 hours for my son to collect plasma from Fortis Hospital, Shalimar Bagh, Delhi and bring back the same to Fortis Hospital, Noida. Every moment to bringing plasma to my wife was crucial. They did not arrange blood plasma on their own neither they allowed me to purchase from nearest blood bank.
On 28th October at 1:45 am my wife suffered cardiac arrest and she left me and my son in great sorrow. My son was with my wife all through the treatment and he is very much distressed. I have no words to express my grief.
Overall, my wife was on drastic improvement from pancreatic cancer but because o[censored]nethical practice by doctors(changing first to second line of treatment), non-treatment in ward by doctors and shifting her to ICU which led to septicaemia, she expired untimely. Had the sepsis symptoms been detected timely and her treatment was carried properly by respective doctors, my wife would have not died. This is a life-time repent felt for my dear wife that why did . I feel utmost frustrated and angry over the negligence of doctors, one of whom accepted his mistake to me. My plan to shift my wife to another hospital was put in vain as her condition worsened because of late diagnosis and treatment of sepsis. Dr Ajay Bhalla(GI Surgeon), Dr Deepak Hans( Interventional Radiologist), Dr Devavrat Arya(Oncology), Dr Vikas Goswami(Oncology), Dr Prashant(ICU) and Dr Pankaj (ICU), Dr Seema Sinha (Blood Bank) are the culprits who are responsible for my wife’s untimely death. I will never forgive them.
