    Dear sir,
I am writing to let you know the pathetic customer service i received at your "world class" hospital. I was admitted to fortis hospital shalimar bagh on 3/5/17 for a back surgery. I applied for a claim (Claim no.[protected] through the tpa office against the bill (No. 1003/17/i/cr/0000884) raised by your hospital. Following are the horrific counts of harassment i faced while being admitted at your hospital:

    1. The claim amount which was passed was nowhere near the amount which was promised by the counsellor while making an estimate prior to patient admission. The counsellor advised us that the total bill would be around 51, 000inr of which the policy would pay about 40, 000inr, while, we would have to bear around 10, 000-11, 000inr. This was agreeable to us. However, the actual billed amount was 55, 794/- out of which the insurance company only passed a claim of 21, 885/-!! I asked repeatedly for the bifurcation of the passed amount, but no one, neither from the hospital, nor from the insurance company were able or willing to provide it. On what basis do you give the false and misleading counselling to the patient?? Why even indulge in estimation if you can not estimate any amount correctly??

    2. Out of the 21, 885/- which was passed, the hospital charged me an excess of 5, 187/- for no reason and forced me to pay up that amount. When asked about the details of these excess amount for, i was told that this is the amount which the insurance company would give to the hospital. They call it mou discount and i came to know that this is an agreement between fortis hospitals and e-meditek.
How is that my problem?? My insurance company passed a claim of 21, 885/- and writes in black and white that the complete amount (21, 885/-) is to be set-off against settling the bill. After arguing for more than 3 hours with your tpa head dr. Raza haider, and urging him repeatedly to do what is right and legally binding, i felt a total sense of helplessness over the complete lack of empathy on hospital's part. Even though the matter of your hospital's deal with e-meditek does not concern me, i was forced to pay up the amount for obtaining discharge permission.

    3. I tried reaching out to the so called "patient welfare" only to find all relevant persons on leave and the two so-called "welfare executives" just sitting there passing their time on the pc and totally unable to help a harassed patient. They tried to avoid the situation by hiding behind their powerlessness instead of helping in any sort. Moreover, they did not share any contact details to me for talking to any senior management. I was shocked by this lack of transparency, which in today's time, is not even present in govt. Hospitals, let alone a brand like fortis!!
Noting the numbers from the cash counter, i tried calling everyone from the duty manager to the medical director. No one picked up their phone inspite of me calling their mobiles at least 15 times!!! I wonder if the hospital just puts out dummy numbers.

This is an absolute rubbish of a customer service with zero regards to patient welfare. This is also a pure case of extortion and patient harassment and i would be happy to take up the issue legally.

    Warmest regards,
    Sunil kumar goel

Inhumanly Shameless Doctors who are a disgrace to mankind as a whole.

Money is all that they care for and they care a damn about the human life's or emotional trauma that they cause to the parents or the children who visit this hospital.

Spineless doctors at Fortis Noida and their administrative staff are trained to create a situation of emergency and havoc to the extent that they can emotionally blackmail attendants and demand admittance to hospital with the sole objective to make money and it has nothing to do with their Oaths which they took while becoming doctors.

My son of 10 was only supposed to get a CT Scan done as per his paediatrician who isn't even on panel at Fortis Noida because of no other reason than it being close to out residence and the doctors there in the hospital especially a couple of Paediatricians on duty at Fortis Noida left no stone unturned to traumatise my son and myself for this worst experience ever out my life.

The Paediatrician ( even after complaining to the Medical Director Mr Bedi at Fortis Noida the entire hospital staff was unwilling to give me the names of those 2 paediatricians ), in there spree to achieve their sales targets both the paediatricians ensured every little bit to emotionally blackmail me and also traumatised my 10 year old son to get him admitted into the hospital for no justifiable reason. Most surprisingly even the medical emergency staff who attended to my son said that they don't have names of both the paediatricians even though I was made to pay a fee for their visit to emergency.

Dr Bedi the so called medical director of this hospital seems to be a heartless and spineless creature who is running this institution not to cure patients and to save life's but only to make money. When I raised questions and my doubts they simply vanished from the place of incidence without even giving me any reasonable answer or even the names of the Doctors who attended to my son. How and why on earth would a Medical Director of a hospital want to hide the names of the doctors even though I was made to pay a fee for them. After listening to my complaint this Dr Bedi went to investigate the situation at the emergency ward and the first words he told me after coming back was that the action would be taken against the erring doctors and as soon as I asked him about the names he simply denied to give me the names and changed his stand saying he will investigate the matter and cannot tell me the names under any circumstances.

Beware people this isn't a hospital, it's a highway to hell being run by vampires.

Even after paying them for CT Scan and that was the only requirement as per the paediatrician whom we were consulting the doctors at the hospital kept insisting for an emergency admission of my son and additional tests and also MRI without any legitimate and logical reasoning post which the situation so arised that I didn't even after making them a hefty payment of more than 7000 in total I didn't even get the CT scan done at this so called hospital where doctors aren't really doctors but can easily pass off for butchers.

While going to the Mind Cafe restaurant (from Lower ground floor to first floor)via the passenger lift, this security guard named Nilanjana yelled at me very rudely in such an unacceptable mannerless way and asked me for the card when I told her that I'm going to the restaurant only, she said that I'm not allowed to pass from here instead she told me to go all the way to upper ground floor through escalaters and then use other lift. The way this security guard person was really pathetic and unacceptable, we are paying lacs of rupees not to get such treatment from security guards. This is so shameful and not at all acceptable, I need some action against her to be taken else I'll record any future communication or any other misbehaving security person and raise a legal complaint against. I've also attached the copy of restaurant bill for reference.

I hope the best suited person would address the issue asap.

        Thanks

Dr HS Mann (neurology) prescribed additional tests amounting to Rs. 62, 000 that were unnecessary to diagnose my wife's condition. We were first sceptical of the tests when, even after 2 MRIs, he instructed us to get the XRAY and Ultrasound done. While these tests were being awaited, he prescribed more blood tests amounting to Rs. 17, 000. We decided on Day2 to go elsewhere for a second opinion. The second doctor diagnosed our condition properly by looking at the MRI and was surprised that additional tests were suggested. We demand from Fortis 50% reimbursement of the unnecessary charges for the diagnosis.

Fortis...heard a lot about hospital. But once someone get treatment really suffer. As I am suffering after my delivery(c section)
You people and your services really suck.
Parking fee 50 and above and valet is for 100rs.
What's the need of charging parking fee if are are paying valet parking fee.Its completely loot.
No humanity nothing I think you should only provide or treat nri only so that you can or I should say you are making them fool easily.
Keeping a brand name you and and you I guess forgets to maintain the name of your brand.earning is good but earning by harassing people is Bs.
Stop making people fool by giving it a hospital name.
No 5 star or 7 star property does this.

My father is being diagnosed in fortis hospital ruby park, anandapur in kolkata, from past week. He is ailing with severe liver infection and jaundice. Doc from there has given some tests to be performed by the lab technicians. I don't understand today its the 6th day and the people don't understand that the patient is ill. Daily they are saying not today, come tomorrow for this test and that test.in fact they did a whole lot of wrong set of tests in a package to get the money. How ridiculous is that. He is so old 57 yrs and still in so much weakness travelling so much to hospital. Today its worst he went and they dint let him see the doctor saying one of your reports will be tested on friday evening so come tomorrow again then only see the doctor. Is the hospital faking people or irritating people in illness. Why the consumer doesn't put a seal to such ruthless medical centers?

I was admitted at fortis hospital bannergatta road, bangalore and had to go through an emergency laparoscopy surgery on 24th March, 2017. I was released on 26th March, 2017. Before the surgery, my husband applied for cashless admission but they asked for Rs 60, 000. Finally they agreed to give the admission with a deposit amount of Rs 30, 000. The medical bill that they made at the time of discharge was of Rs 1, 42, 666 and the non medical bill that they made was of Rs 11, 559. But to my surprise, all the things of the non medical bill were also included in the medical bill. Our insurance company paid the fortis hospital 1, 40, 000 for the medical bill. But the fortis hospital dedeucted Rs.11, 559 from our deposit money i.e. 30000 though the price of most of the things of the non medical bill was paid by the insurance company. But still i haven't got my remaining money i.e. Rs 18, 441 though I should get more than that. One more thing I noticed the list of the things that they used on me when I was in the hospital is so huge that I really wonder whether all theses things were really used on me for which they had extracted money from our insurance company as well as from us too. And what about the listing of the same things in both the bills and taking money twice for the same things. These hospitals are taking advantage of the plight of the patients by making nonsense bills. How can we do treatment in this way. Please help. My UHID is WHBG.[protected]. My bill no.is ICR111830.

                        Address: Mumbai City, Maharashtra, 400088

My dad walked into the hospital and was taken back home in an ambulance.

We met Dr. Hasmukh Ravat for breathlessness on exertion. Angioplasty was performed the very day after..following which breathless continued and even increased( which was totally ignored) and he had to be readmitted. .when we discovered to our utter shock and dismay that my dad's CBC count was never taken before the procedure. His HB was 7. To add to the shock, his XRay which showed ILD was never seen before the procedure.

The angioplasty worsened the situation and was not needed to be done considering his lungs condition as was confirmed by leading cardiologists in 2 south mumbai hospitals to whom i went for a second and third opinion. There has been a break in the protocol where not even an Echo cardiogram nor CBC was performed on a 83 year old man before the angioplasty.

We were charged 52000 wrongly which on alerted they said was a barcode error and reversed. A cousin of mine was charged 95000 as barcode error and reversed. Patient or his relatives in fortis mulund needs to pay more attention to the bills than anything else as they might be fleeced.

And the icing on the cake was when Dr. Sandeep from Dr. Ravats team accuses and spoke inappropriately that my father of lying when we confronted them of charging us of Dr Ravat visiting us everyday when he was delegating his services to just a medical student who was outright rude. The charges to the extent of Rs. 7700 was soon reversed. Dr Sonal from his team again walked into the ward with a loud intonation and arrogance. Doctors need to be taught humanities.

Nurses clearly overworked ..forgot to switch on oxygen for my dad for about 4 hrs till i noticed .saying they were very busy and stressed and apologised. Likewise the ICU.

Then comes the chest specialist. who was kind enough to tell my dad directly on his face that the has Advanced ILD and that hes going to feel only 10% better to a man who was extremely breathless now even on sitting as against a person who walked into the hospital. What a morale booster. . Am not sure this is as per your patient and relative rights. Dr. Sandeep even told me that my concerns on my dads terminal illness was of no importance to him. This is my first communication post the discharge. Certainly Not the last for the emotional, physical and financial distress and torture.

What a lie. The no of times i have tried to contact lavina is no joke. Let her contact me now..[protected]..i am alive. My dad is dead.
Dr. Hasmukh Ravat is arrogant and has no manners to talk to his patients or their companion. There have been plenty of complaints against him about his rude behavior.
Very money minded. If you are kind of patient who cannot offer much monetary benefit then he will ignore you or talk to you in a rude manner and throw you out of his cabin. He needs to learn some manners while talking to elderly patients. He shouts at his patients throws the patients' files like he doesn't care.
Being a surgeon does not give him the right to disrespect anyone or treat others like trash. Fortis should throw him out of the panel also legal action must be taken against him.

I have booked my appointment 15 days before for Dr. Praveen Gupta, because there is no free time slot available earlier, but when i went as per my appointment schedule again you are asking me to wait for hours. Then why the hell I took appointment so many days before and why you have given me particular time slot. If you cant abide to the timeline. why you are wasting times of others in taking pre appointments and then coming according to that.

For a simple vaccination of my child in the opd of doctor Dr shantanu Bag adopted a que process and as per his words we reached at 4 pm but he got us waited there as we were not paying him the fee for his consultation as he just took fees five days back for general check up of my baby.
The hospital staff is so slow and incompetent in working that they dont even realise the value of patient time.
The worst service is given by fortis healthcare kolkata and they are just money orieneted commerical business centres.
Let the management look at the working condition of their staff otherwise they will just loose their patients who are not satisfied by their service.

my recent experience with Fortis has been an eye opener, i have realized that Fortis is totally commercial oriented with little or no regard for Patients.

My wife pain in Left chest area and Doctor Sunil Mangla recommended to shift to Fortis and keep under observation. I went to emergency and believe me the patient had to walk as there was no one available to take patient, i requested multiple times but none came . My wife was kept in CCU and later shifted to a shared ward, and they did multiple tests including HIV, and other tests which as per the TPA and the Insurance policy are not needed for Heart problems, The hospital knew well that these claims are not supported by Insurance, that is why they take advance of 10000, and they tell you that they will refund this and then they do these tests and inflated my bill even above their own original bill at time of payment. i escalted to Menakshi Popli in customer Welfare, she was not even ready to listen to the issue but started saying that hospital and its staff are not aware about what tests are needed for heart patients.

Fortis Dietician recommended a non fatty diet to my wife, but she was given Cheese and mayonaise sandwich, i am sure the mortality rate of hart patients in extremely high in Shalimarbagh Fortis.

My nephew Amarnath was admitted with a head injury in Fortis Hospital Gurgaon on Jan 10 and discharged on Jan 13. He has been under treatment of neuro surgery and cosmetic surgery departments since he was admitted. The whole experience from day 1 has been terrible. No doctor or staff tell clearly what is the problem, or what is the line of treatment, or what should be done next. Doctors give appointment but do not turn up. Stitching of wound is done badly; and stiches are opened without checking if the wound is still raw.
After two weeks of treatment, we do not know what to do next, as patient is not improving. I would like to spread the word that Fortis Healthcare Gurgaon is a ABSOLUTELY TRASH HOSPITAL meanat for money making, where neither doctors nor staff care whether patient is improving or dying.

I am Poonam my uhid 667121, I am facing problem in my spine from last three months, As a meet with Dr Deepak Joshi on 3jun 17 he justed me to do MRI for lamber as per his suggestion I did it. On the same day he check the MRI images on his system and told me I have no problem with my spine and I could do everything, jogging, running and all activities as I dont have to take any precautions, On the next day 4 Jan17 when I collect my reports it mentioned that (L5-S1 disc has small central protrusion mildly indenting the thecal sac and transversing the nerve roots). As I checked and met to the Dr next day on 5jan 17 he said as I told you, you have nothing you just put down the report in the dustbin and go back to the home without any tension, , I don't understand if I have no problem why from past three months I am in pain in my back and leg too, , Dr Deepak Joshi said it's just bcoz I am talking too much tension about my health, , so I completely disagree with him

                                        Detail incident

I have been consulting Dr prathima Reddy of Fortis la femme hospital. Though my expected date of delivery was in second week of December, I got unexpected pain and went to hospital on 14th November 2016. Though I was consulting Dr prathima reddy, at that point of time only Duty doctor attended me and informed me post my routine check up that Dr prathima reddy has asked me to get admitted immediately as it is my third delivery and the cervix is already 3 cm open and can deliver any time. I took their delivery package by paying an advance of Rs 10000/- on that day. As I was alone at Bangalore with my 2 kids that time (my husband working in Delhi). I informed them that I need to go home and make arrangements including my husbands arrival to Bangalore. They said its risky however on my repeated request they allowed me to go and come back post taking declaration that the whole risk is on me.
The same day my husband came at 12midnight and the next day we went to hospital and meet Dr prathima reddy for admission. But then she informed us that I can go back home and come once I get intense pain. We requested her to induce as I was staying little away from hospital and in peak hours its difficult to reach hospital. As it was 37 weeks + and as the cervix was already opened for 3 cm and it was 3rd delivery and considering the review given by the doctors previous day we repeatedly requested her to induce but she refused saying 'you should wait for the natural process' and we returned back home.
Two days later I got pain and being peak traffic hours we approached a nearbyhospital where I was delivered. Post my delivery I approached Fortis for refund of my advance amounting to Rs 10000/- which they are refusing to do.

Please help me in getting my money back as it was not my mistake in going to another hospital..
