Worst hospital I have ever come across and it will be worst years to come. They make small minor headache case to major case like heart or brain and tel its major need to test and keep u till 6-10 days and loot money at the end. If you have insurance then they will clear every single rupee. And they have the horrible billing department who says I can't give you bill just pay and discharge the patient. They have no idea of billing and shout at patients attendee. And they loot in the name of non medical. So better go to other hospital avoid fortis shesadripuram branch. Billing department are the worst

1)My son Shamant Shetty has been made to remain on fasting and then at 10:30 on 11th May they failed to do USG just because the radiologist has been on leave for his sister's wedding.Without making any substitute arrangement next day he was sent for an outside scan center where he had to wait for 2 hours. How would you compensate for the delay anxiety and unnecessary extension of staying in hospital? 2)Because of the brand Fortis we preferred this hospital. We are shocked to see the standard maintained. At pharmacy we have to wait for hours because of lack of sufficient staff.Half of the medicine prescribed will be out of stock even in special ddelux room no TV is provided. Restroom is not being cleaned regularly. Bed sheets are not changed. 3)Even when the patient and the attendent have to go out on emergency rooms key is not being given. On the top of it from security to floor manager argues that key cannot be given. What's the fun in having a special deluxe room without even basic convenience. 4)In hospital cafeteria outside food is allowed to be eaten which maybe harmful for the patients 5) No experienced resident doctors in the wards.Even in nights B.A.M.S doctor without any experience is available Only nursing service is good and sisters are really caring. In all other aspects Fortis Hubli is A BIG LETDOWN. The Fortis at Hubli is surely going to tarnish the image and name of Fortis. the below incidences which took place with me yesterday i.e. 4th May 2015 EVENTS OCCURRED AS MENTIONED BELOW ON 4th May 2015 – DISCHARGE DAY! MORNING: 10:30 – 10:45 am – Dr Naresh C Mehta approved the discharge for the patient (self, Mrs Shubhangi Rane) 11:00 – 12:00 – Sister Nimisha (5th Floor sister station), collated all discharge papers and forwarded them to the discharge department on ground level. 12:00 – Patient informed by sister that for a cashless insurance process it takes approximately 3 to 4 hours post the discharge papers are sent down to the discharge department. 12:00 – 14:00 – Patient and attendant’s waiting in the room 14:15 – Patient herself steps down to the ground floor to visit the discharge department to check on billing status where she is informed by the lady at the counter stating that they haven’t received the documents yet from the 5th floor sister ward. Later which were then said to be misplaced by the discharge department. Patient then calls Ms Manisha (patient care dept.) and narrates the issue faced. With the intervention of Ms Manisha patient discharge papers (duplicate copy) was resent by the 5th floor sister to the discharge dept. 14:57 – 1st email sent by TPA Mulund Fortis to (mayur.[protected]@remedinet.com) DISCHARGE – FB DS – SHUBHANGI RANE – CCN – 1138909 & patient AGAIN informed to wait for another 3 to 4 hours till the time response for the medi assist towards final clearance is received. 15:00 – 18:00 – Patient and attendant’s waiting in the room 18:00 – 18:15 – Patient again herself steps down to the discharge dept, this time accompanied by a security officer from 5th floor, again on checking with the lady at the discharge desk is informed, that it will take another 15 to 20 mins for the response form the medi assist company. 15 to 20 mins was not a long time hence the patient informed the attendant to vacate the room and come down to the discharge room with all the belongings. 18:30 – patient again checks on the status, now being informed that it will still take additional time. 18:30 – 18:40 – A lady walks out of a CABIN situated within the discharge room, patient checks with the discharge counter assistant on who that lady is. The Patient is now informed stating that the lady sitting in the cabin all this while holds authority for such insurance cases. The patient then explains the entire drama to that lady, and this time AUTHORITATIVELY this lady AGAIN askes for MAXIMUM HALF HOUR for the final decision, and walks off with the final bill and papers with her. 18:30 – 19:15 – patient and attendant keep waiting in the discharge room waiting for this lady to come back. 19:15 – patient again checks on the status and ask the discharge room attendant on where that lady was? To the patients surprise, the patient is now informed that the lady had left for the day. Patient gets disturbed and asks on what is the FINAL outcome, on which the discharge desk attendant (seated on the table right next to the entry gate of the discharge room, comments and asks Mr Brijesh Dubey (here by referred as BRIJESH) another discharge room attendant to prepare an undertaking letter) HERE THE DRAMA STARTS!!! Brijesh, already engaged in some work grins over this additional responsibility given to him and shows negligence towards the patient who has now been waiting for MORE THAN 10 hours in the hospital post discharge announced by the treating doctor. Patient requests Brijesh to get the undertaking letter ready, his response QUOTE Brijesh - “udhar se utho aur photo id idhar mere pass lake do” Patient – “tu letter toh bana ID dete hain” Brijesh – “dekhta hun main aajj, tumko discharge kaun deta hai” Patient – LOOSING PATIENCE now, walks out from the discharge room stating that it has been high time we have waited for the papers to arrive! The patient and attendant walk off towards the main door of the hospital entry, where now there is a LOCK DOWN by the security as they feared the patient would run away without clearing dues. AT THE HOSPITAL POACH – One of the security guard handles the patient and the attendant empathising with their situation and pacifies them as he looks on to the patients’ health again detoriating. Post which patients attendant (relation – daughter) walks back to the discharge room with the ID card copy of the patient and walk straight to Brijesh, stating Patient Daughter - QUOTE “ if anything goes wrong with my mother, then the responsibility is yours, take this ID and get going with the formalities” Brijesh – Quote “ I am not her to take this from you, “kaun hai re … uski maaa ki… dekhta hun kaisa milta hai aaj discharge” At this very time the security who pacified the patient outside at the hospital poach, walks in with the patient and her second attendant (relation – son) in the discharge room. On hearing this above ABUSIVE language patient and her son, raise a voice against Brijesh. The patient leaning across the table calmly explains Brijesh, that abusive language he used for is towards the patient (a lady 50 year old with her son aged 20 and daughter aged 29) along with her. Brijesh now, across the table hold the patients wrists, where the IV was injected earlier and pushes the patient! The patient, tries to get rid of her hands and to do so is assisted with her daughter and son. Whereas 3 security men from FORTIS try to grab hold of Brijesh and get him out of the scuffle. Brijesh walks into a cabin within that room along with patients personal details documents and clicks pictures on his personal hand held phone AND UTTERS, “BHAAD MEING GAYA JOB, DEKHTA HUN TUM LOGON KO BAAHAR” The security pulls him out of that cabin. Now at this stage Ms Nimisha Kadam intervenes the entire scenario and pacifies the entire heated argument. Sister is called to check on the patients’ health, where the BP measured is slightly raised than normal range. Patient is now shifted to the casualty ward for rest. Ms Kadam, with the assistance of the discharge room attendants, generates an undertaking which is signed by the patients attendants. Post formalities at 20:30 the patient is released home. AS PER THE ABOVE NARRATION, I MS SHUBHANGI RANE WOULD LIKE TO LODGE A FORMAL COMPLAINT AGAINST MS BRIJESH DUBEY – DISCHARGE DEPARTMENT FOR MISHANDLING THE PATIENT AND USAGE OF ABUSIVE LANGUAGE! FURTHER TO THE SAME I HERE BY SEEK ANSWERS TO THE BELOW QUESTIONS: 1. DOES IT REALLY TAKE 10 HOURS FOR A CASH LESS CLAIM DISCHARGE PROCEDURE 2. WHY DOES A PATIENT WHO HAS ALREADY UNDERGONE A TRAUMA BEING AT THE HOSPITAL, AILING AND RECUPERATING IS BEING TAKEN THROUGH ALL OF THIS TROUBLE 3. AFTER ALL THIS WHAT HAPPENED LAST EVENING, IS THERE ANY ACTION TAKEN AGAINST THE ABUSIVE STAFF 4. WHAT SHALL BE THE NEXT SECURITY STEPS BY THE HOSPITAL TO ENSURE THAT THE PATIENT IS NOT TROUBLED BY THE ABUSIVE STAFF WHO HAS CAPTURED ALL PERSONAL DETAILS OF THE PATIENT ON HIS PERSONAL PHONE 5. AND LASTLY!!! IS THE CLAIM RESPONSE FINALLY ARRIVED AND WHEN SHALL THE FINAL BILLING BE DONE! AWAIT A NON BIASED RESPONSE TO THE ABOVE ..

I have bad experience fortis IVF. Dr. here forece to go for donar egg evenif follicles of required size are present. Ultrasound reports are givn as per IVF specialist dr.. They dont provide film evenif they charge more than other hospitals. IVF specialist are totally commercialized. & cheating people. Playing with patient's emotions. After 60000/rs stimulation egg was growing but still dr, seema madan cancelled my cycle intentionally. Forcing radiologist to tell no growh of egg, Later i got checked from another clinic. This is may experince with three more IVF clinics.(miracle-appolo, artimis(dr. ela gupta was sarcastically laughting & telling its like empty bottle) . Bournahall(De, Sweta gupta, Dr leena, Dr. Kamini-they produce wrong blood reports & same foring for donar eggs) They force you to go for donar egg evenif sufficient follicle count & size is existing on your own. There should be some strict law on IVF medical treatment & its commercialization. Shame on such doctors especiall above lady doctors. Their medical registration should be cancelled. You can do sting operation with these IVF centres. They are not happy with money they are charging for ivf treatment with own eggs. they want more money. these lady dr should be kidnapped & their organs should be take out to sell & leave them. Then only they will come to know how they are playing with others life & emotions I will provide reports on request

+ Visited Fortis on to meet Dr AnitaSethi for cataract surgery of my mother whom I called especially fromAmritsar to get her treated from so called good institution. +Doctor was familiar to us as she had already operated my Aunt at Atrimas and she was theonly reason we opted for Fortis. +Available estimate known to her for surgery was 02 options involving a package cost of 35K and 40K. +We opted for 40K package. +As this was a insurance case we approached the TPA and there we were again asked to opt for the one package out of available packages of 35K and 40K and we opted for 40K.This is to mention here that no estimate was given to us for any of the package. +We completed the TPA formalities and this being a co pay case was approved for 70% the very same day. +Surgery was scheduled the next day on15th Apr 15. +I approached the admission counter and they could not found any intimation from the TPA and to my surprise shared that the cost available to them for this surgery was 45K. +I requested them to check and as theTPA was close at that point of time I was suggested to go in for admission and was assured that the necessary clarification will be taken afterwards. +I was asked for an additional 10Kbefore the Day Care facility was allotted. +My mother was operated without taking my consent on the surgery cost. +I then approached the TPA for F&and was told that the rates have got revised since 1st Apr and the cost is 45K. +I was shocked to hear this as there was no update to Dr as well as the TPA for this revision. +I tried my best as the contacted cost with me was 40K and I was in no mood to unnecessary wait for sending the estimate again to the TPA to settle down the differential but nobody came to my rescue. +I waited and waited and finally the bill came with another shock. The bill amount was 53K. +I asked for the details wherein I found that there was a charge of 02 Lens for the surgery. I was bit surprised and I went to the doctor to enquire how many lens are being used for cataract of 01 eye and she said Dear only 01 lens is required. My reply to her was then why yourHOTEL has charged me for 02 lens and this was surprise to her also. +I went back with lot of hurt and anger and asked for someone, s help. +There were then round of discussions among the staff TPA+Sachin+Prateek and finally Shikha Rampal Guest Relations Manager came in. +Sorry and Gyan was the only available Answer. Let me mention you guys have become so commercial that the so called Nobel profession is no more Nobel. This is pure and pure P&L which is being driven at the cost of financial and mental trauma to the family of the client (Not the Patient). Will upload this in all possible ways on social media if I am not heard and given written apologies.

Hi, my father in law got discharged from this hospital on 7th April 2015. the discharge summary reflects "false" diagnosis due to which i am unable to claim insurance. It is a big amount and i am liable to get it. But because of one shortfall from the doctor's end, i am unable to get any refund. He is under the treatment of Nephrology department and was admitted because of Hypertension and Chronic Kidney disease whereas the doctor has diagnosed "chronic alcoholism" which is wrong. No supporting tests were performed to prove this. The patient had a history of alcohol (before a year or so). Need help to sort this out.

Hi, I had visited this hospital in last week of Feb 2015, had common flu symptoms, they told me to get H1N1 test, I paid Rs.400 consulattion fee + Rs.2700 as H1N1 test fee, after 3 days they said the sample which they had collected was somehow not correctly done by the nurse. So the Test was cancelled . They are yet to refund my money . Its been almost 2 months, everytime I call them they keep on saying that 'we will refund money ASAP' . Please escalate this matter to higher authority . This is really NOT ACCEPTABLE ! Being so careless in collecting the sample from patient.

Dear sir/madam I along with my mother and family reported to the hospital with the problem of fever chillishness due to which joint pain was there. The patient is my mother in this case and the case was referred to Dr. Akshay Challani. On his visit it was apparently told to him that fever comes with cold and body ache with sweating during fever and ofcourse joint pain was there due to the same which was almost the clear symptoms of malaria, dengue or typhoid but in such a big brand hospital rather than on a prima facie they should have conducted the malarial or dengue or typhoid test they admitted my mom in to the hospital conducted unnecessary tests like ECG CBC DOPPLERS X ray, ETC kind of irrelevant tests To increase the bill, When I felt something fishy I preferred to consult some other doctors too when told the case all suggested that on prima facie they would have conducted the malaria dengue or typhoid test rather than ECG OR DOPPLER TEST. Even the doctor visited the patients during noon after such a great follow ups & calls by the hospital staff. Then we finally took the decision to get the patient discharged but I was too late because they had made q bill of simply around 25000 INR. Again the patient is covered under such diseases but they sent the report to the insurer for arthiritis joint pain etc. Due to which denial of cashless facility happened. I somehow managed to pay the sum of Rs 25k around sir/madam. Then we visited to one of ours family doctor for consultation on 21st march 2015 he conducted the requisite tests and diagnosed with the typhoid and now she is unde4 the treatment of the same and feeling better than before. But the trauma suffered by my mother and all members of the family needs to get justice. I have narrated all the incidents. Kindly consider & oblige. Shakuntala S Hiremath today staying at Room No. 205. Last two days night nursing staff did not respond to bed side buzzer. Request to shift not cared. Bed pan given by care taker. Towels not changed. Even additional care taker is required. The room shown was 334 during admission and given small room post operation where attender or caretaker do not have sleeping facility. Do you provide such a facility even you claim Fortis is a good hospital. Good or bad is peoples opinion who got bad treatment.

Worst billing experience. These guys don't know to calculate. May have done degree but forget counting. Firstly they ask to pay a huge amount. Later a bit little den again a huge amount. Wow. How good. We are not illiterate. At least we know countings. Go sell some eggs or tomatos. Better change the employees. Not worth it. Specially in d billing department. Govt hospitals are better then this !!!

My Mother was having some breathing issue from last 5-20 days, we have taken the OPD
appointment of Dr Prashant Chajjjed on 11.02.2015 at 18hrs in Fortis hospital, he & his team only checked
the oxygen level & advised us to admit my Mother, we also follow advised
& admitted my mother in hospital, on 11.02.2015 they gave oxygen to her without any check up or test & my mother got unconscious on the same night at around 3:00 am, Nurses & attending doctor also ignored what serious was the condition, then they realize patient is serious they shifted to ICU at around 5:30 AM & at around 8:30
AM on 12.02.2015 they told us her CO2 level is increased & we have to put them on ventilator.
We can’t do anything at that time we are helpless .When we asked why this happened no body is giving firm reply they are saying there lungs are week & they are not excelling CO2 & there is acute respiratory failure.
When I enquired with some doctors/sites, The main reason for respiratory failure is excess oxygen given when the lungs conditions are not good.
Hospital/Doctors tried thrice to remove the ventilator & to maintain the oxygen level & CO2 level butdidn’t succeed. Then finally we take the second opinion & shift my mother to other hospital, they also tied hard but due to ventilator there was infection/phenomena in lungs & finally my mother left for heaven on 19.02.2015 morning.
The admitting physicians were not aware/identified that the patient would having some lung diseases & what will
the impact of giving the excess oxygen.Unfortunately, a blood gas was not done at the time of admission, despite the fact that most expert guidelines recommend blood gases on all patients with having some lung Diseases.

This case raises concerns about the assessment, management, and monitoring of a patient with one of the most
common medical conditions seen in hospital emergency departments—exacerbation of lung diseases. In particular, this case highlights the challenge of appropriate oxygen delivery in the setting of a lung diseases exacerbation.

I lost my mother because of wrong treatment.

                                  Regards

COMPALINT AGAINST YOUR FACILITY FORTIS LA FEMME, CENTRE FOR WOMEN, GK NEW DELHI. Dear Sir, I am undergoing some treatment and for that purpose my doctor advised me to go for ultrasound. As your centre was a all women centre so i went there and i was told that fees o[censored]ltrasound is Rs 1000/- per sitting and i can also avail the package of 3 sittings in Rs 2000/-. In the package, i availed by first sitting on 22.12.2014, as the purpose for which the Ultrasound was done, no further sittings were taken by me. As i was under the continuous treatment of my doctor, so i knew that i will further need to go for ultra sound, so i did not avail my remaining sittings and i waited for my next cycle. But to my utter shock and surprise, when on 03.02.2015 i went to your said facility, they denied me any sitting on the ground that the same was valid only till 12.01.2015. Then I enquired where in the bill they have mentioned the validity of the package, the people at the reception started acting very badly and refused to give any sitting. when i insisted to meet the facility incharge, i was told that he is away somewhere and then i asked for his number. The person at reception did not answer anything and went outside to make a call., thereafter when i again asked for the number of the facility incharge, he informed me that he has a word with the incharge and he has also refused to give any sitting to me. when i again asked for the number, he suddenly agreed to give one sitting to me but refused to give any further sittings to be as per my package. I am surprised to see such a pathetic response from the staff of such a reputed hospital. The branch which is known for its name and standards are following such a shody process, wherein they even don't bother to give all the relevant details/information to the customers.
