I sent my consignments through Gati from IISc Bangalore to Kolkata on the 30th of May, 2015. The docket number is[protected]. Till date the package has not been delivered. We learnt around 5th June that Gati has misplaced one of the five packages, but cannot tell us which one. My father, Dilip Mukherjee who was supposed to receive the packages at Kolkata, called up gati's toll free number and they asked him if he wanted partial delivery. he insisted on complete delivery. Since then the online status says that it is trapped at outbound Kolkata. A lady named Swati is apparently handling our complaint (Complaint no[protected], but she is too busy to speak. Evry morning they promise to call us back by the evening to tell us about the status of the packages, but that call never comes. When we call, it is the same status, 'I don't know'. My question is, who is supposed to take responsibility and be accountable? gati doesn't even bother to inform its clients about its irresponsible action and negligence. they are apathetic to the customer's plight. Today we learnt upon calling up again that they still haven't found the fifth package, although in between it was said that the fifth package has been located and will reach Kolkata 'manually' (I don't even know what that means, must be another way of cheating people). So here we are, stuck with gati. Either we take the four packages and thank gati for being 80% efficient, or wait an eternity for the consignments to arrive, which I am sure will never arrive unless we call them up. I don't even expect any compensation from them, because they do not even think that an apology is warranted after all this hassle. My suggestion to any future customers of gati, do not be fooled by their sweet talking when accepting your order, because eventually you will go through hell. i have posted another fresh complaint with Gati online today. the reference no is CS96419. But as usual, i do not expect any redressal from this horrible excuse of a delivery service!
