Purchased Three Burner Gas Stove of Glen on 31.08.09 from spencers, jaipur. From day one leakage has taken place, twice is was servised by person from company itself but nothing has improved. Our gas consumpyion has increased from one cylinder per month to two cylinders per month. We are scared that due to leakage accident may happen.

    I have purchased one GLEN 6054 60SS 893 Mh3/hr Hood-chimney from Sales India, Dharnidhar branch, Ahmedababd on 12/Dec/2009. Now during the first month itself we are facing the problem of Oil drops gathering on the faber filter's outside part even at a gap of 3 days of fullying cleaning the faber filter( steel).So, we lodged complain with Naresh Briother vide Job no 546 dated 9/1/10 and the Servce Staff came on 11/9 and relocated the oven position below the chimney and asked us to observe and if the problem persists, to report again.
    Despite slight location change, the problem persisted.So, we lodged compalint on 20th Jan again ..I was glad to recieve call from local Glen Service Staff of M/S Naresh Brothers on 22/01 [whose name got engraved in my memory as this chap came to install Chimney and to our utter surprise initially refuse to test the Chimney by connecting the chimney's loose electric wire to the Plug Point for the reason that he does not carry BLACK TAPES!!! Will you believe it as a 21st century joke. ] But the sad part of the story was that midnight I was on my laptop firing mail to Glen Ahmedababd support agency Naresh Brother's management and to Glen hierarchy to complain that this chap after 10 PM stopped receiving my calls on his mobile ( I rang him thirty one times and the phone was not picked up) and by 10.30 PM this man had cleverly switched off the phone to have unhindered sleep, keepinng the customer awake and with empty stomack and with a leaking chimney.We kept our meal aside till midnight waiting for this irresponsible service staff of Glen to come and finish his job.This is not a good music for a customer who has just purchased Glen Chimney.
    Then the next episode starts when I got a EMAIL from Glen Headquarter from Arun Malhotra.I will copy relevant part of it to make the review relevant and the reply self-explanatory . Quote"The oil dripping purely depends upon the usage, food habits and the capacity of the Baffle Filters. ... Baffle Filters are made up of stainless steel ... . But as the nature of steel is to get heated up fast as compare to aluminum, the oil which comes with fumes and stuck on the surface while cooking may get heated in next cooking and starts dripping . Therefore one has to keep the baffle Filters cleans before and after the cooking with wet cloth to avoid any dripping while next cooking. Secondly if the customers food habits are of non vegetarian/ oil rich or spicy then one has to advised to clean the filters every alternative day in lukewarm water to remove the dart and oil for better and hassle free performance.."Unquote.Now the Job no. 546 has been closed and Glen is waiting to lighten my purse further every 8-10 months. That's Glen . They were very sweet tongue when I was enquiring before booking and we were told by the same people down the hierarchy that for those with consumption of oily/spicy/non-veg foods should go for a suction highter than 750 and Steel make Faber filter is the best. Now they tell you to toil hard every altrnate day and pick up a quarrel with your spouse or they now tell cassette filter is the best !!!!
    Now, after receiving the mail as I contacted Mr. Gourav, the owner of the local Glen franchise, he is now cleverly quoting the same email to state that our usage is high so we have to clean every alternate day or else go for the cange of the filter as suggested in the mail. Now, of the two options, if we have to go for cleaning every alternate day, no housewife with average usage in fact would be willing buy this GLEN product ever. As we have found with FAber brand with 750 suction used by my in-laws and they never have had oil leaking complaint in tthe last 2 years and they never had any necessity for after sales service, I can now that burth my fingers with Glen reading about its good after sales service, would like to warn intending buyers "BEWARE OF GLEN ELCTRIC CHIMNEYS". So, don't get romanticised with the look, and keep away from this product

    By your artcile GLEN is absolutely ruled out from my chart. I am looking to buy a new elc chimney and had kept GLEN as an option too.But now, no more GLEn. I can understand how harsh it feels when we dont get the desired service after investing such sum. But sir, dont u leave them. try to reach more top officials and force them to do the correction. they cannot cheat on us. After reading you post i am personally feeling like killing them who cheated on you.trust me. ALSO, since you must have done much research b4 buying one can you please suggest me which compnay/modle to go for. my budget is max 15K. PLZ replay on my mail ID

    Thank you Mr Goutam for your valued report. I was just about to purchase GLEN Chimney. Obviously it would be moronic to go after them after reading your report. Moreover this forum is full of complaints against GLEN Chimneys. I will go for KAFF as they are having very less number of complaints. Thank you once again.

      We received Glen mixer cum juicer model no. GL4014 as a gift. The plastic body of the mixer was damaged for which we called the service centres several times. Also, on their website - www.glenindia.com i have logged a compliant several times. It close to 6 months that I have been rigouously calling and following up. This company should be shut if being in the consumer industry it cannot provide timely after sales service.

          We have bought 3 burner glass top Gas stove made by Glen in Sep 2008. Today while we were doing normal cooking all of a sudden the glass top broken into pieces with pieces thrown around. Fortunately no one is injured in this accident. It is a risky product to buy and use. I hope Glen Appliances Pvt. ltd will take note of it and replace it with a good product and suspend selling such products in future.

          All companies are same, they just want to sell their product. no service, spares are not available. I am facing same problem from samsung products and many accessories I buy from other companies, when complain, they give no reply. registering complain in consumer forum useless, no one cares, no reply/solution from them also. I registerd many complaint in Cosumer forum, no reply
          I bought a Glen glass top 4 burner and its beenless than
          8 months and the whole toughened glass broke to pieces.
          Thank s b to God that my kids weren't near it when it broke.
          Glen should not be allowed to sell such products. Why should
          consumer pay for their faulty production.
          I was purchase 5 Burner Glen cooktop with toughend Glass on 2nd Oct 2011. Yesterday at 19 Jan 2012 Glass was cracked automatically in small piceses. When I contacted to Glen, they had informed me that glass is not cover under warranty. I requested to consumer forum to give your decision in my favour for resolving the issue.

          Govt. should be banned this type of cooktop in india.

          I bought glen stove with glass in Nov 2010. Yesterday while doing normal cooking it broken in to piece. thanks gods no kids were nearby at that point of time. Please advice how to get it repalced from company. -harish tripathi
          Our Glen 4 Burner stove "toughened" glass top just shattered with a bang while cooking with pieces of glass flying all over. Luckily no one was injured. These so called big companies sell spurious and dangerous stuff. otherwise, how can heat proof toughened glass just shatter? DANGEROUS. Will somebody from Glen answer? The attached photo will clearly bring out that nothing was dropped on the glass. It just plainly shattered on the sides. Can somebody from Glen contact me on [protected] and rectify.

          In regards to the problem i am facing since I purchased Glen Cooktop CT 1049GTAI.Invoice No :[protected] Dt:14.08.2012
          Initially wrong product was delivered, which got rectified after a months followup.Now the new problem has arrived, The ToughnedGlass is breaking repeated.After purchasing, the Glass broke within 10 days time, which was replaced by HAS ENTERPRISES on 5/11/12 JobSheetNo:2811, the same has again broken today.Therefore in just 2 months, twice the glass has broken during normal cooking process.We know that glass doesn't come under warrantly, but then why repeated glass is getting broken.I have already paid Rs 2550/- as replacement charges to ur authorised Service Center for replacing once, but can't afford to pay again n again.The cooking process was normal and we had followed the given instruction, but still the glass is breaking for the second time.
          Now I feel cheated for buying Glen product,

            I bought a Glen Gas Stove (4 burners) from Santosh Super Market, 2nd Avenue, Annanagar, Chennai. Since purchase it was giving problems. Heat is not sufficient. Now since past few months, the largest burner does not burn properly, it suddenly goes off allowing gas to leak. because of this we are afraid to keep this burner burning as something untoward might happen due to gas leak. other burners are not generating enough heat.

            against our complaint technician came last week but the position did not improve. he promised to bring nipples for other 3 burners to increase its heat delivery but did not turn up until now.

            altogether we are unhappy about unsatisfactory performance of Glen stove.

              DEAR SIR,

              I've purchased a Kitchen Chimney from M/s Eastern Agency, Kolkata ( The only registered Dealer of M/s GLEN in Eastern India) last year with whole life warranty. I purchased a higher end model and paid additionally for whole life warranty. Kitchen chimneys are available in the market at half price but i thought it will be an excellent one.

              However, it developed some problem after 5-6 months and I lodged complain. Initially they didn't bother to come down to my house to take care of the probs. However after making nos of calls they came and informed that the motor has developed some problem and asked for Rs. 500/- to solve the problem although the motor is covered under the warranty. Since then I made repeated calls to M/s Eastern Agency and nothing happened.

              Therefore i request you to kindly take some immediate steps to solve my problem.

              I purchased a Glen chimney a few years back from Trade Fair. I stay in Mayur Vihar-I due to which our chimney was provided by one Megha Appliances, Vikas Marg. Probbably because they was the nearest dealers in that area. I had since taken AMC from them as well. The last payment for AMC was made on 17th April, 2010 but since then neither did they rang up nor did anyone visit us for the regular cleaning. I have been calling them up for the past 2 months, but no ones responding. Kindly let me know what is to be done now. My chimney is making some unusual noise & needs to be seen. I have paid 1250/- as AMC to this Megha Appliances, how do I get it back.

                unforunately my experince is dissapionting buying a product from company like GLEN we always beleive that the quality has no compromise , and we are spending higher due to best of quality and long term responce from product.
                Unfortunetly our experience to the same is just opposite and we felt that buying a gas cook top GL1033SSHF from you company was a mistake. WE BOUGHT THIS COOK TOP from kara baazaar [electronic mid night diwali baazaar held in kanpur]exhibition in exchange offer organised by glen india.to my dissapointment the burners of the cooktop broke and the rings of the burner came out .this happened wthin year but the dealer responsible refused to help us. now i have come to know that ther is 5 year warrenty for the burner by the company .i will be obliged that company helps me out in this matter thankig you kumkummisra

                  I dont think 'Glen Gas stove 3 burner stove GL1032 GT' glass top will blast with in one & half year in normal use. But 'glass top' is blasted and broken into pieces in my house while in use. Glenindia is not bothered about customer they agree it may burst any time and says 'thats why they didnt covered this glasstop under warranty'. Glenindia not cares after seeing the broken blasted stove in their chennai glen service center. I think it will spoil Glen's international reputation for not carring the customer. The Glen management shall advice chennai glen service centre to replace the stove which was already handed over to them without receipt on 21.10.09 about 1pm.

                    DEAR SIR,
                    Im miss binal.t soni wants to inform you that im using your glen comp. four burnal gas stove from last 1 yera, but after some time it is not working properly. Many times we have complain to the deeler also bt they are not responding us. m gas stove is nt working automatly and nw its not working with lighter also nw wat to do with this i dont understand. So its m kindly request you to replace a new gas stove.

                    Sir,

                    I purchased GLEN make two burner - auto ignition gas stove before 2years, It worked well for one year without problem after that I face lot of problems in the stove. The seating diameter of removable part in gas burner was fully deteriorated due to poor quality cast iron material. The ignition system was not in operation even after changing the fresh dry cell. The vessel seating plate they had given with the stove was very thin and not strong enough to withstand the temperature and weight of the vessel. It deforms from its shape after use.

                    With great appointment I would like to inform you that there is a problem in the glass cooktop which we have purchased last year from Sony Mony and we are facing tremendous problems and it has become very risky to operate the gas as the knobs tend to open up as they have become very loose. Also, the rubber bush of the grids have broken.

                    We have lodged the compalint to the service station since 2 months and they are showing least concern about the same. It has come to the stage that we are planniong to buy another cook top of course not from Glen as we are facing problems with the exisitng one.

                    We would request you to take up with matter on a very urgent basis so as to retain our confidence in Glen or else we will have to take some serious steps.

                    We have purchased Glen made chimney along with gas stove with three burners. It hardly six months old and the base plat made of glass broken with big bang. its crystal were flying in the kitchen all along . Also one can see the cracks on the remaining part of the base plate and it has became dangerous to use it any more. we have lodged the complaint wide complaint No. 1496 on[protected]. The dealer says the plate is not under warranty. It is not understandable without the base plate what is the use of stove. whether one can use the burner without the base plate. I think it is a manufacturing defect and company should replace it or stop the manufacturing such dangerous stoves. I hope they will take it in right spirit and replace the whole stove along with the base plate.
                    Do not buy from Glen they are just pathetic in customer service, even their manager's manager doesn't bother to entertain your complaint
                    I completely agree, Glen has the worst service in the market. Their product is sub-standard and to top it all the service is third calss. They have actually hired some people to answer the calls but don't give complaint number, and these people are always busy. NEVER NEVER NEVER Buy Glen Products. Truly third class.

I contacted your customer care service, but your technicians could'nt resolve the problem .Now a year has passed and the problems have increased .I have wasted a lot of money on phone complaining about the problems . A month ago I called the customer care and since then nobody has bothered to reply or visit my place .I think a product of a good company should give problems only after years o[censored]sage, but in my case the problem was since the time i purchased it .What can u do about this ????.

                    Dear Sir,

                    I purchased Glen four burner gas stove GL 1046 GT from local dealer on 03rd November, 2013 i.e. just 23 days back. From day 01 I am facing problem in the stove as the ignition system generates spark but gas is not burning. And when flame is on and we want to reduce the flame it extinguishes.

                    We informed local dealer / service centre and their technician visited once and told some sort of gel is required which we shall arrange and solve the problem.

                    After that we call up the service centre on regular basis but nobody from their side is turning up to repair the stove. We are really fed up with the way service is provided.

                    Please help us out in getting the problem solved.

                      Dear Friends

                      I have decided to share my bad experience with you all, I m sure this experience will help somebody.

                      i have purchased a glen chimney in the month of december 2008 it was a very bad experience for me & my family they have a pathectic service even though there head office is in faridabad

                      i even visited there head office they do noy know how to speak to the customer .so i decided to view my experience on compare india
                      we had purchased a glen chimney in the month of december the dealer assured me about the good service regarding glen chimney so we purchased the chimney at he cost of 16000/- it almost took a week for us to get the chimney to instal after regular followup even we had to visit there head office for the installation of the chimney
                      the techncian who visited our residence dint even now how to instal the chimney he dint have a proper installation kit he used to ask for the screw driver as we wanted to get the product instal we had to agree with him as he he will not instal the chimney if you do not provide me the spare what i require

                      after few month the chimney started making nosie we have keep on trying the service center no for 10 to 15times the feamle who responded our call was not so coperative she told when the technician will have time he will visit our residence that to berfore 6 pm as they do not work after 6 it means purchasing glen product we have become there slaves we have to agree what the technician says/cordinatoor says this is what about the glen service so at last we had to give the chimney to a scrap person as it stoped working so till date we have not received any call from the service center nor the techncian visited our residence.
                      this suggestion was given to me by my frd when i shared abt my experience it was the same experience with her regarding glen so i decide to share my view

                        i am reen bansal from pune i have purchased a chimney in 2007 i had a very bad experience regarding the glen chimney.so i decided to share my experience on compare india
                        i think this will atleast help me to get my problem solve

                        i had registered a complaint for the the chimney not working within the warranty period just 3 days was left for the warranty to get expired. i registered my complaint to the service center they assured me that the technician will vist at my residence the very next day so i had to take a leave that they because the technician will not visit after 6pm this what service they provide.that day the technician did not visit at my residence & i was unable to get in touch with the cordinator as the no was engaged continousaly so i had to give up the next day i again contacted the service center the cordinator told me the technciian visited at your residence & nobody was present so he could not complate the work this was the lie they i could not argue with them as i wanted to get my work done so the next day my husband was in the house for the same ting he visited a 5 pm & told that you will have to pay for the motor what is been short when my usband told the technicna that it was in warranrty he refused to thathe told him please chaek the record it was been registered in warranty period he refused to & asked for the amount of 3000/- so contacted the head office in faridabad we dint get any help from them also even they refused to saying that the call was registered out of warranty even when we send the document to them they refused the chimney cost was 10000/- so we filled a case against the geln chimney with all the necessary document as we had recorded the converstaion that i had with the coordinator as she confirmed that the comaplint will be registered within warranty period
                        so we got the compenssion & even got our work done'so when ever you are speaking to the glen service kindly record the call so you have the proof.

                          We are a old resident of Indore, and have bought a Glen Gas Table - GL 1031S Steel TR on 23/07/2005 from you authorised dealer LOTUS at Indore MP. Before buying the same we found that the price range of you Gas Table was higher compared to other local brands. Inspite of this buying a product from company like GLEN we always beleive that the quality has no compromise , and we are spending higher due to best of quality and long term responce from product.
                          Unfortunetly our experience to the same is just opposite and we felt that buying a gas table from you company was a mistake. On 11/12/2008 , some problem has come in the Gas Table and as per the suggession of your authorised service center : M/s Ambor Marketing P Ltd we have to bear the cost of change in Alluminium Gas Tube . Post approx six months again the Gas Table start troubleing , again we made a compalint with your authorised service center : M/s Ambor Marketing P Ltd and on 27/07/2009 , we have to again bear the cost of change in Knob, Burnor Alluminium . We fail to understand a GAS TABEL buy from such a reputed company has so frequent compalint and everytime the parts needs to be changed at customer cost.

                          We would like to know why such a poor quality material used in the Gas Table , and inspite of paying a higer price why consumer needs to face the problem like this. Also wish to understand do the company like Glen Appliances P Ltd has some consumer grivences policy, and if so we would like to hear somthing soon from you.

                          Unfortunetly our experience to the same is just opposite and we felt that buying a gas cook top GL1033SSHF from you company was a mistake. WE BOUGHT THIS COOK TOP from kara baazaar [electronic mid night diwali baazaar held in kanpur]exhibition in exchange offer organised by glen india.to my dissapointment the burners of the cooktop broke and the rings of the burner came out .this happened wthin year but the dealer responsible refused to help us. now i have come to know that ther is 5 year warrenty for the burner by the company .i will be obliged that company helps me out in this matter thankig you kumkummisra
                          I very much agree with you. I bought a GLEN platinum cook top no. GL 1047 TR in Kolkata from a very reputed store on 18.02 2009 and within a week its triple ring burner started giving trouble. 50% of the wholes of the burner were faulty and would not light on igniting. On making a complant the custmor care service sent their techincian on 23.02.2009. The saddest part is that the technician even after seeing the fault refused to acknowledge it, infact he justified by saying that the burner is working fine, and the solution he offered wasto light the full burner you have to blow some air with your hand ( a solution which one would not offer even to an illterate person) THIS IS THE LEVEL OF THE TECHNICIANS THAT GLEN HAS HIRED for customer service. After much persuassion we were promised by theglen office in kolkata that another technician will come to attend the fault: WHICH NEVER HAPPENED. As a result, I was forced to use the triple ring burner- the MAIN FEATURE of the cooktop the burner in the same condition till it completely became redundant.
                          Finally I made another complain as the cook top is under warranty period but they still refuse to accept that the burner is faulty.
                          I have come to a conclusion that the cooktops with triple ring burners which is the PRIDE OF THEIR APPLAINCE are DEFECTIVE AND I WOULD ADVICE BUYERS NEVER TO BUY THEM.

                          We have the same experience in Auroville, in the center for food distribution of Pour Tous. In February 2008 we purchased in Planet Excel in JN Street in Pondicherry a 5 gas stove with inbuilt oven.

                          Just a few weeks after, we realized that the oven did not work well because the door was not closed properly.

                          Several times we called for servicing, they repaired (apparently) but again was the same after one or two days.

                          The service support in Pondy is very difficult to get. They take months and months to answer to our calls.

                          Now, after two years, finally somebody came and said that the spring needs to be changed and that it has to come from Italy... without even the certitude that it is going to happen.

                          We are really so discouraged with this company and we do not understand what type of equipment is this which does not work, nobody knows how to repair and on top of it, does not have spare parts available.

                          We regret deeply the decision we took to purchase from this company Glen.

                            I bought a Glen 4-burner gas stove from Santosh Super Store, Annanagar, Chennai-40. Since the day it was delivered, the burners are not working properly. it will get 'off' suddenly resulting in gas leakage. We made many complaints. the technicians will come and say these are like that only. the largest burner does not work at all. technician says it is for making chappatti and not for anything else. we gave up.

                            i would like you to warn potential buyers of glen stove to be careful.

                              I bought a cooking range from Glen distributor Kolkata around July last year and it is under warranty.

                              Last week while cooking with the top cover in standing position (which is obvious) my Cooking range (GL 2012 PLT AI) top cover glass suddenly exploded which led to minor injuries to my mother and her sister.

                              I immediately called Glen service and they did not pay much attention and they sent their technician after 2 days after repeated calls.

                              Also their technician Mr Biswajit Das (Bapi) who came on 14th Mar has said that there is a problem with the set and he won't mention to Glen because he is an employee with Glen as in that case Glen has to fix the set or replace the set free of cost.

                              Also i tried reaching Mr. Arun Malhotra couple of times on 14th Mar & 16th Mar at their head office in Faridabad and he din't speak with me, always his secretary said that he is not available now.

                              After that i sent a mail to Glen on 16th Mar, i'm yet to recieve a reply on that also.

                                I have purchased a four burner stove from Sana Enterprises and the Company manufacturing the Cooking top was Glen, Further to the accident I have lodged a complaint on their website and also sent copy of the accident pics along with the Cooking top to their office but they never bother to respond .Infact they have exhibited negligence and lack of customer service which purely displays their sales centric nature and lack of post purchase service .

                                  As per the offer price the product cost to Rs.11990/- inclusive of all taxes, installation and all. In addition to this LIFE TIME WARRANTY will be provided after purchase. It was clearly discussed FRESH PIECE should be supplied from MEGHA.

                                  I received the CHIMNEY on date 23/06/08 at my residence without the original packing, without the operational manual, no documents were provided regarding the serial number of the equipment. There was a good sticker on the Chimney indicating the serial and all details.

                                  When we enquired about these papers the sale man tells there is no problem and you will get the original Invoice, warranty card and the manual within 5 days. As per the sales man these papers has to go to the Glen factory for verification and stamping of LIFE TIME WARRANTY, that was the reason it has been taken out from the box at office itself.

                                  We thought it is a reputed company there should no problem. But even after 21 days we didn’t get the Invoice/warranty card, etc. Than we contacted the sales man with the answer it will take another one month.
                                  When we go in detail we found that it was a DEMO piece that’s why there was no documents in side the box. We also found the specification on the packing box is also fake and is not matching with the other original boxes kept in the Megha showroom.

                                  Then we move to their head office at Vaishali, they behaved very well and apologize for the inconvenience and promised to deliver all documents within a week.


                                  After 4-5 days we received only the original invoice No.[protected] dated 23/06/08, through courier. When enquired about the manual and the life time warranty they told it will come by courier separately. After 7-10 days we received one courier from M/S Megha, containing one Manual and a form for Life time warranty form. This warranty form has to be signed by me and to be sent to Glen factory at Faridabad directly as per the instruction of the Megha staff. Both manual and the warranty form were of some other model & serial number, which has been changed manually by Megha staff, to our model and serial number. When we asked about the same, we get a reply the original one is misplaced and this will serve the purpose and you will not get any problem regarding service and all.

                                  Any way, I signed the form and sent to M/S Glen, Faridabad, by courier details Z77910055 dated 19/08/08 by DTDC.

                                  Again I received a letter from Glen Faridabad, with a reply “ we are in receipt of the life time warranty form but the photocopy of the INVOICE is not attached. And the serial number is overlapping, so please provide the original document and your phone number so that we can make the warranty approved.”

                                  This letter I had received on (around 22/09/08). As I was traveling to Egypt these days I was not able to reply. I came back from Egypt on 15/09/08 and then I couriered all the required documents to M/S Glen on date 30/09/08 by DTDC courier no.Z78853325. Next day I received a call from Glen (Ms.Purnima) stating there is no original manual from the dealer. Then I brief all above realty to him. She told me you don’t worry this is clearly dealers fault and we will give you the life time warranty at any cost.

                                  But again I made hundreds of phone calls to M/S Megha and M/S Glen regarding this but at last M/S Glen (Me.Purnima) has raised his hands and said M/S Glen cannot do anything in this regard as it is totally dealers fault and you have to settle it with the dealer. She even did not connected me to her senior officials.

                                  At present the status is lying as it is.

                                  Please suggest me how to make a legal cheating case on M/S Glen and M/S Megha, so that can never think to cheat there customer like me. I am ready to spend any amount to punish these companies. For evidence I had kept everything safe with me like the packing box in which I received the Chimney with the specification slip, courier receipts, the news paper aid for the price and the life time warranty offer, etc, .

                                  I do agree with the victim...I knew this guy SB Singh is still making ppl fool.
                                  SB Singh who belongs to Megha Appliance has not only cheated me for more than Rs. 5000/- during sell of a 6068 glen chimney and a glen stove but also eaten up money Rs.3190/- given to him in cash against the payment of Glen Stove.

                                  I would like to urge all of you to join hand and raise the issue so that no other innocent buyer gets in trap of SB singh
                                  ppl...y r courts like lok adalat present...lodge ur complaints in these courts, u ll definitely find a solution 4 ur problem...reply if at all ur prob gets solved
                                  Rajesh Kushwaha who belongs to Megha Appliance has not only cheated me for more than Rs. 9980/- during sell of a chimney Model No.6013 but delivered a duplicate chimney and has not helped with the original invoce and when spoken to Mr. Handa in faridabab, refused to give the life time warranty, though it was confirmed to us at the time of delivery also no invocie has been given till date to us... I'm a senior citizen who has been cheated of Rs. 9980/- from pension oof which only Rs.7790 has been paid through check and balance amount of Rs. 2190 as cash.

                                  Please never never buy anything from Megha Appliances and if possible never buy any Glen product as they do not care about customers, instead they cheat them... Megha Home Kitchen Appliances in Laxmi nagar is a fraud company...

                                    Sir,I have bought Glen Electric Chimney Model NoGL6013SS Dec 2004. First couple of years it worked fine, post that it was unable to suck the smoke & grease while cooking,hence i made numerous calls to the customer service no they have provided.First they promised me they will send a technichian, but even calling them several times they sent a person, who does't have sound knowledge of the product. He came and changed the mesh and cleaned the chimney and Charged Rs1200 and also he assured us that the problem will be solved now.But to our bad luck nothing has happened.

                                    Looks to me we have wasted our money by purchasing Glen Products.I want to warn other buyer not to go for any Glen Productsm they have pathetic Service back up. How can i sue Glen to return my money.Plz suggest .

                                    yes its true that if glen company cannot provide good service and products to customers then government official should cancel their licence immediately its my personal request I too bought new 1000 suction glen chimney one & half year back but not with so many reminders and calls they glen chimney service provioders have not get my complaint corrected Complaint No-is 036 dated 12/02/2009 till date its pending.
                                    I myself bought a chimney set from Glen in Noida just about a month and a half back. The chimney was installed by the company professionals after discussing all the aspects with us.
                                    The set is not serving its purpose and the kitchen as well as the house is getting filled with smoke - MUCH TO THE DISCOMFORT OF MY PARENTS WHO ARE SUFFERING FROM BREATHING PROBLEMS.
                                    On informing the service people several times, the first person
                                    (Mr.Chaudhary) turned up after 4 days of complaining, just to make fake promises before leaving.
                                    On repeated calls, the second person (Mr.Raja) turned up just to share that the chimney was effective only 30% because it had been installed incorrectly. He promised to get it corrected within a day. He never turned up after that, because " will consult Boss", "Boss not available".
                                    Its shocking and i am forwarding this note to the consumer forum also.
                                    I had also bought a glen chimney for which they had promised to give me a lifetime warranty. But even after one year the warranty card is not provided. Everytime one excuse or other is given. I had contacted Mr Rajesh benjan of Mumbai who had promised several times to do the necessary. But now he has stopped answering the phones. Their faridabad office also have stopped responding.

                                    Glen - Four Stove Burner — Ridiculous service and bad attitude towards customers

                                    I purchased a Glen Four Stove Burner for about Rs, 20000 (approx) a couple of years ago and had some problems with it, the problem is that the metal burner of the Stove is rusted and has Bent downwards probably due to heat.
                                    Now, its been a month or so after I have called the staff from Glen to send their technician to get it changed as I am not able to get the same size or the same Burner from any other shop or company.
                                    Their attitude towards the customer and the complaint is just pathetic and unexplainable, first of all they really need to be trained on how to speak with a customer on the phone, secondly after lots of phone calls and harassment they gave me a complaint number which is still with me but the complaint has not been attended by any of their technician. I have called them again and again just to request them to send a technician as we are facing problems making our daily meals, but they have not responded at all and they keep giving me false promises that the technician is on his way, he will be there tomorrow and other excuses like that. I am sick and tired of complaining henceforth I want to take a legal action against them, a harsh action if possible.

                                    I purchased Glen Chimney from Ideal stores Coimbatore, about 2 years back. It was working fine but I requested the service center in poomarket, coimbatore to clean the internal. A technician with no knowledge on this want sent, he removed the motor parts and after cleaning he fitted it. The chimney produced a huge noise that is totally troublesome, the service center could not help on fixing this problem further. so, I am unable to use the chimney.

                                    I Have never seen the pathetic service like Glen appliances had. They People have loose their commitment , that the service is free of cost but at the time of service , they demand for the payment of charges.

                                    Their is absolutely a mess between company & the dealer & Company is not ready to accept the fact.

                                    GLEN Appliances is NOT at all a customer centric Company.

                                    Glen 4 Burner Cook Top — home shop has collected cash but the product is not yet delivered even after 1 month

                                    I had ordered for Glen 4 burner cook top on 20th Oct 2010 for Rs. 3145/- . The company collected cash through Blue dart on 27 th Oct 2010. The ORDER NO is[protected] and the sub ORDER no is 31185853. I also received SMS on[protected] form Home shop 18 saying that the product will be delivered in 2-3 working days but till dated the product has not been delivered. On enquiry I only get an answer saying that they are following-up with the courier company which they say is VEGA Couriers and the docket no. they have given is 78872.
                                    kindly provide me with step by step details of cleaning an electric chimmney, along with details
                                    of chemicals and accessories required.
                                    I purchased Glen stove and chimney almost two years back. About 9 months ago the suction fan in the chimney stopped working. When I telephoned the Bangalore service center they told me that the chimney does not have the life time warranty and we will have to pay for the repair. Since then, we have been telephoning the Bangalore service center - shree sai enterprises @[protected]. They keep saying they will send the technician "tomorrow" but the tomorrow has not yet come. We don't know who else to go to. If they don't have technicians then at least they can direct us to some other center to other technicians. I searched on the web and all the paper work I have - there is only one service center listed and we are not having any luck getting someone from this service center.

                                    It was a terrible mistake buying Glen product. We should have bought this stove and chimney from another company. After this company, we are sure we will never again buy Glen products and also spread this word to family and friends.
