Sir,
I am Vinod Kumar Gupta from Delhi. I have purchased a Godrej EON Frost Free Refrigerator double door GFE 32DZ on 03/06/2010 from Nayyar Electronics, Pitampura Delhi. Only within a span of 24 hours the refrigerator has gone out of order and the Godrej technician told that there is some device is not working and change that device after 2 days refrigerator gone out again and Godrej Technician told that they replace refrigerator and after replacement now after 45 days problem is same and now Godrej Technician told that that new replace refrigerator has compressor problem and its has to be changed or replaced.
It is very strange that such a big company is making so sub standard quality refrigerator that the unit becomes faulty within a few months and then they refuse to replace it. It is not sure that they will be giving a new compressor also. They may even give an used compressor as spare. This is sheer cheating and depriving the consumer of his rights.as the customer is suffering after spending Rs.20000/- for buying this sub standard quality product. Godrej people are equally reluctant in giving proper service. They are cheating and fooling people by selling sub standard products without proper quality check. The godrej Management should be answerable for this.

This is Arindam Basak from Baranagar, Kolkata-36. I purchased a refrigerator of Godrej EON model at november, 2008. After having it, it became the great nightmare of my family. After 5-6 months, I complained for less cooling problem even having stabiliser installed by Godrej technician. The engineers changed the Bi-metal 2 times, Timer 1 time, Motor Fan 1 time...But the problem is still continuing. Yesterday, an engineer Pritam Ghosh ([protected]) came and changed the bi-metal again. After he had gone, Compressor stopped working and cooling stopped totally.
It is very strange that such a big company is making so sub standard quality refrigerator that the unit becomes faulty within a few months. This is sheer cheating and depriving the consumer of his rights as the customer is suffering after spending so much money for buying this sub standard quality product. Godrej people are equally reluctant in giving proper service. They are cheating and fooling people by selling sub standard products without proper quality check. The godrej Management should be answerable for this.
I want to Refund my Money from the company or i want to have a new refrigerator replacing this bull one...Please help your customer in this context or advice how to destroy this product of Godrej forever to protect people from such kind of harrashment.

    It is to my utmost despair and disbelief that a brand name as renowned and respected as Godrej has shown us, a customer family, such absolute disregard. In recent years, I have encountered many instances of brands, shop keepers, vendors, etc. relieve themselves of any notion of a responsibility with the customer, the moment he/she has signed on the dotted line. With companies such as Godrej, one just expects better, more - but the disillusion I have undergone has held me in good stead and strengthened me in my resolve to never to be a Godrej customer again. The Godrej washing machine which we bought less than 2 years ago has been errant in functioning and has often given us trouble. we have called the call centre and 2 before in the last 18 months have had 2 calls logged and repaired with an acceptable response time. However the problem has persisted. Withe the thris recurrence of the problem and a complaint being registered, the engineer visited our house in 3 days time. I explained the malfunction to him and he suggested that we replace one of the major parts of the machine to which I told him the other part of the problem. To which he responded saying 'You just told me some other problem'. I said 'Yes. This second is also a problem with it and both these problems have been consistently present since the last repair.' He responds (in Hindi of course) to somewhat this effect 'You can't keep changing your problem statement'. I asked him what he meant by that and that it was my duty to tell him all the issues I was facing with the machine so he could best give us a solution. To which he responds 'You are the customer. I don't have a choice but to tell you you are right. And he left with a promise to replace the part within 3 working days. I requested him to confirm with his office/superior/warehouse and he did and reconfirmed that in 3 days he would replace the part and then he would look into the other issue. This happened somtime in the month of July in the first week. We are today on the 9th of August. There has been no response from the company / from the engineer.

    We have called a local electrician / engineer who has made the machine work (though it's not in the best condition anymore as too many people have touched it.

    We have spent close to Rs. 5,000 in the last 5 repiars and I am wondering if it makes sense for us to continue using a product for which the maintenance cost is almost 45% of its original cost in less than 2 years of purchase.

    I am sadly disillusioned and angry with a brand that did not care to fulfill its promise!
    While going through the above complaint I started feeling that this complaint symbolises my sufferings for purchasing a Godrej semi-automatic washing machine model GWS-7201 from Hari Sharan & Sons Kamla Nagar, Delhi-7 vide bill no. 40889 dated 13/6/2010.We purchased the machine inspite of peoples telling us not to purchase a godrej product as they have very poor after sale service.But we stick to our view that Godrej is an international company with a good repo & must be having good after sale service.But you proved us wrong.

    In our recent complaint numbered 187621 dated 11/06/2011 made with customer care center, the technician from your company visited the very same day and after checking the appliance(washing machine) informed that a timer has to be replaced and he will be visiting us on 13/06/2011 with the new timer and machine will be set right.

    But inspite of repeated reminders for last 10-12 days no one paid heed to our request for repair of washing machine & we continued to repent our decision to buy a product of A REPUTED INTERNATIONAL COMPANY-GODREJ.

    When we inquired from your service center Gunjan Refrigeration its incharge Mr. Arun Kumar replied that they are unable to attend to the complaint as company is not supplying them the required part . When i asked him would it not be better to close the service center if customer's complaint can't be satisfied He replied that I should give this advice to company itself .

    You are therefore requested to get the appliance repaired within next 3 days otherwise i will be forced to take this matter to the Consumer Courts.

I had brought a Godrej Refrigerator from Kohinoor Dadar.Taken loan from Bajaj Finance of Rs.7,700/= EMI @Rs.1,100/= for 7 Months Started EMI from January 10 ended in July 10,but I received sms on my Mobile no.[protected] on 5th of August 10 EMI is going to come in my Bank of Rs.1,100/= When my loan is completed than why EMI will send in my Bank.

        I purchased a Godrej refrigerator on 20th June 2009,and it has one year warranty period.for some defects i register a complain on 1st June 2010 at Godrej customer care.But they did not attend my complaint.When I gave a second complaint on 22th June 2010,they told me that my 1st complaint is closed for not finding my proper address and the second complaint will be charged as it is out of warranty period.and they attend the second complaint on 29th June 2010 and charge 900 for service.After that i received a message from Godrej that my complaint is attended and service charge is nil.so why they didn't attend my first complaint and after taking 900 from me,why the message came as service charge is nil.i want my money back.

          Godrej Smartcare sholud be renamed as GODREJ TROUBLECAE.

          My complaint for Refrigerator lodged on 19.05.2010 is still not cleared even repeated complaints to their National Service Head Ravi Bhat has fallen on deaf ears I have already started the process to file case at Consumer Courts as well as Civil Courts for damages.

              Delivered Date is: 15 Feb 2010.

              When they delivered at that time SUPERSTORE was broken. I informed delivery boy. After used of around 45 Days we found that Vegetable & other eatable were not store for long time & they affected by Fungal.

              Also when we defrosted at that time water leakage from "Chiller Tray"& that spoil all contains put below Chiller Tray.

              So I put complain into your customer care on 21st April 2010. My complain No is 584800. After that your technician came to our place & he told that there is "Cooling problem"in our fridge & we need to change gas & he did it. Because I dont want stuck.

              I call too many times to their office no.[protected] / 6796 1370. But most of the time phone is busy or they didnt pickup call.


              I have no time from my regular working hours to do follow up with their mess up communication.
              This indirectly harass me & this affected my professional work indirectly. This hamper my work also.

              I want to replace this faulty/damage piece.

                i am the bigest fool on the earth becoz i buy the GODREJ refrigerator, i buy thr fridge dated 26-3-11 but the quality of godrej is great it works only 10 day out of long span, it is pathetic performance of godrej i through my hard earn money in dusbin. THIS IS MY HUMBLE REQUEST TO ALL CITIZEN OF INDIA PLZ PLZ. NEVER BUY THE GODREJ PRODUCT.

                  Complaint against cooling to service center - Godrej service centre representative told compressor damaged and changed with new compressor worth 4000/- on 27-05-10.
                  But from 28-05-10 onwards the problem was again raised (Not cooling properly)

                  Again complained on 28-05-10 : He came and changed timer, but problem not solved..
                  Again complained on 29-05-10 : No action has taken till date[protected]

                    I have lodged a refrigerator complaint a month back with complaint # 897245.
                    complaint was in the name of Vandana mob# [protected]

                    I am having a 10 year old double door frost free refrigerator .The problem was ' NO ICEING IN DEEP FREEZER COMPARTMENT.'
                    Some technician came from UNITED HOME CARE he changed the component BIO-METAL and charged Rs. 350.00 as visit charge plus Rs. 350.00 cost of biometal. but still ICEING was not there.

                    I again lodged the complaint # 898868 some technician came from same agency UNITED HOME CARE and filled the gas and charged Rs. 1000.00 bill # 590 dtd. 12/05/10 but problem was still there.

                    I again lodged the complaint # 899838 some technician came from same agency UNITED HOME CARE and re-filled the gas.

                    The problem is still persist. It is now almost over a month. I have paid in all Rs. 1700.00 but of NO use, ICEING problem is still there.

                    I have called no. of times at you call center no.[protected] spook with there TL Girish, Ankush. There Managers Mr. Batra and Mr. Naveen. but of no use. On top of it there record states that customer refuses to pay Rs.1000.00 as gas filling charges, which I have already paid.

                    On 22/05/10 SAT I gave them time to come to my house. no body came I was just kept on waiting whole day without stepping out of my house despite I had to go somewhere urgently, still no one came.

                    From the past 2 days I tried to speakk with UNITED HOME CARE ph#[protected], they are just giving false promises that someone is coming at our home for repair.

                    Plz. help me out ASAP.

                      With reference to the above contracts had recently problems on both the appliances.
                      Washing Macine: Complaint reference Nos: 592642 dated[protected]

                      601669 dated[protected]
                      All above complainsts for leakage problems.
                      Refrigerator: Complaint No: 636671 dated 12/05/2010 for low cooling
                      Both the appliances last attended by Service Engineer Mr. Rais from Mansi Enterprises.
                      Regarding Washing Machine Mr. Rais advised that we should run the machine by keeping water level on medium as the Pressure level switch of old machines 10 years is no more available. This is really a very absurd advise. Now because of this problem we are unable to run the M/C with full load.
                      Regarding Refrigerator due to door alignment problem cooling was low. Here also Mr. Rais said the refrigerator door needs replacement but it is not available as the Refrigerator is 10 years old.. In both appliances he further advised that we should dispose off both Washing M/C and Refrigerator. As Refrigerator is a must, we had to dispose if off for just a throw away price and buy another from different manufacturer. I am very unhappy by the remarks of your Service Engineer and Service provided by Godrej, who are unable to honor the Service Contract terms. We were also ready to pay for spare parts which do not fall under free replacement as per the contract terms and conditions, but because of parts are not available we are force to dispose the appliances then why the contract was signed for three years for the old appliances and waste our money by entering contract for three years? I herewith demand to please refund my Service Contract money immediately as Godrej is unable to provide me Service as per the contract. For your information we have three Godrej Appliances: 1) 240Ltrs two door Frost Free Refrigerator
                      2) 5.5 Kg Fully Auto Washing Machine
                      3) 1.6 tons window AC.
                      But now have decided not to buy any Godrej appliances because of poor service and will also advice my friends to keep away from any Godrej products.

                        I have twice complain of my fridge as not functioning properly. Half of the cooling is not functional.The thermostat is also not functioning.The Sujana enterprise took two complain and gave the complain numbers 661797 and 674671 but no result. we have a two years service contract with Sujana vide receipy no.26081 dated 27-2-10 and paid 1427-00 which is the authorised service centre for Godrej,therefore immediately direct the service centre personnel to come and do the needful.

                        I perchaged a Godrej refrigerator in feb-2008 and now there is the cooling problem in it. the seller engineer said to me it's compressor has been damaged and you should pay 1200/- for repair but i told him, ' my refrigerator is in gauranty period and it's your responsobility to repair it without charges so please guide me, 'what's my correct step now'.

                        Godrej Refrigerator — repairs

                        on 20th July we made a compliant about sudden failure in our refrigerator performance, Technician visited us and charged Rs 250 which we paid & informed us regarding repairs to be done was replacement of compressor he also offered us an attractive offer to purchase AMC for 2 years @ Rs3500 & make a complaint after 15days & get everything repaired free of cost, however we chose to get the compressor changed immediately & asked him to repair for which an verbal estimate of Rs 5120 was given which we agreed for, however we wanted the repairs to be done as soon as possible. Technician did not turn up on 21st july nor was there any response from the call centre, so we called the godrej smartcare no & they apologised ( person name Prakash) & assured for an repair or information of any spare shortage the next day, however there was no call nor any visit from technician, on 22nd we called them and inquired if they have any backend report, however they are not aware was there any visit from technician, nor they have any reply or action plan. There is no tracking system of complaints as it comes out from this case which is very clear & nor their goal is customer satisfaction.
                        We bought our Godrej refrigerator on apr10th 2009 form Jadwet Trading Company we having the warranty period also due to our mistake their is leakage of gas in the compressor.
                        We are ready for the replacement and to pay for the parts we informed to the godrej dealer in port Blair last 15days over till we not received the part.

                        we facing a big problem due to this pl do the need full action regarding this matter.

                        I had purchased Godrej computer 300 Lts. in 1987, about 4 yrs back compressor changed and still working but it's rubber bedding is giving some space due to which cooling is going to leakage.

                          I bought a DD Refrigerator from Great Eastern Appliances on 23 April 2010 .The refrigerator was delivered after 2-3 days.they told a person will visit our residence to demonstrate the appliances in a day.No one came to our place and when we call the Service centre number,either it comes busy 23 hours or luckily if you are connected then they say they have forwarded the request to Service Department and they will take care of it.On 1st May i wrote a mail to Samrtcare mail id but have not received any response.on 2nd may i tried continuously on the centre tele no.                           Such a pathetic and disgusting response from a Brand is unimaginable.

                            I have purchased a Godrej 410 Ltr. Fridge in 2006 and have done a
                            service contract for 4 years from 27 Aug 2007. The contract
                            application number is 1070596.
                            For last 2 – 3 months the cooling was not sufficient. {In winter
                            months and with temp. control on MAX}.
                            On 4/3/10 we complained for ‘no cooling’ A technician visited and
                            tried some adjustments but it did not work and on 08/3/10 the
                            compressor was changed. Even then the cooling problem was not
                            rectified and the technician promised to visit after two days. In the
                            mean while we were informed through SMS that the complaint has been
                            cleared.
                            We then lodged complaint again on 10/3/10 [No. 99184] A technician
                            visited the next day and promised to visit again to change the
                            thermostat. He never came. Instead on 13/3/10 the fridge was taken to
                            service centre for rectification. The fridge was brought back on
                            15/3/10 with high compressor noise and no cooling. Again we were
                            informed through SMS that the complaint has been cleared.
                            We then lodged complaint again on 17/3/10 [No. 993785] A technician
                            visited and said that compressor needs to be changed to ‘power cool’
                            and then if needed he will change the thermostat. He will do the
                            needful. It did not happen. Again we were informed through SMS that
                            the complaint has been cleared.
                            There after we lodged complaints repeatedly. [No. 993785, No.997453]
                            And every time telephone support executive promised to send the
                            technician on the same day.
                            Complaints have been cleared without any technician visiting and doing
                            the needed and promised rectification. The problem of high compressor
                            noise, less cooling, compressor remaining ON for nearly 40 – 45
                            minutes and OFF for just 5 – 10 minutes, resulting in heavy
                            electricity consumption, fridge walls staying hot all the time,
                            continues.
                            On 30/3/10 we lodged two complaints for which we were not given
                            number. On 31/3/10 the number given is 999857 with a promise to send
                            the technician tomorrow.
                            We were advised to call the ‘super tech service’ numbers however many
                            a time the person who attended the calls could not say when the
                            technician will visit nor did she got back to us. We have managed to contact your Godrej office contact person in Pune, Ms. Chaitrali .[This
                            name and number was given by your tel. support executive] She has been promising to send the person and clear the problem but no one ever has visited in last 20 days.
                            We have now exhausted our patience with unsatisfactory support and
                            service by Godrej.

                              The same complaint I have with Godrej. They are on of the oldest brand and one of the worst service providers. They charged us the same way as mentioned by Pradeep.

                              Even I have another complaint # 898289 dated 08/05/2010 pending since last 3 weeks but they are not responding back with they status. They can not change the door gasket when we are ready to pay. where the customer should go after buying from such a company. I think they know very well that legal way is too much lengthy and they are exploiting the customers. one should start a compaign "NOT TO BUY ANY GODREJ PRODUCT"

                                I purchased a Godrej Fridge around 3 years back and have also enrolled into a service contract with Godrej in November 2009. With a bulb lighting problem in the refrigerator I registered complaint in the toll free number [protected] on 7th April'2010. I recieved a Docket No. 242426 and was told the service man will arrive within the next day.Even after repeated reminders and two more fresh complaints registered , no service man had still reached to mend the problem.Today is 17th of April'2010.
                                We are extremely dissatisfied with the kind of service provided by the Godrej people nowadays, what is more surprising the bad service continues even after enrolling for the service contract!!!

                                I have purchased Godrej Edge GDE 19/B2 on[protected] .It has been delivered to Home by 8PM on same day.While opening the box the glass for the tray has been broken inside.Delivery boy told Godrej will replace the Glass in next two days.
                                Sunday[protected] I found problem with compressor which is making lot of noice.Whenever compressor starts it is making a sound of Half HP Motor.We thought New fridge will make noice, but noice didnt reduced. Evening called customer care([protected]) and got complaint number and complaint numbr is 967788.
                                Monday one of the service techinician came and told that compressor is having problem and it will be replaced in 2 -3 Days.
                                But I cannot undersatand why the new fridge will have compressor problem, wether the product is tested properly or not ?That techinician is so great that he asked us to weld the glass which has broken.

                                But after one week Compressor has been replaed, it is new or old dont know.But According to there manager whole unit will be replaced within 4 Days, but after 4 days got message from Godrej call has been closed.

                                Godrej is having very bad service procedure, service techinician who comes for repair not having ID card and they are not submitting any call report to customer.

                                  i bought a godrej double door 304 litre eon series refreezerator on 15oct09.vegetabe tray glass cover cracked on its own within a month.As i was busy with some domestic affairs i contacted dealer by the end of november. The dealer lodged a complaint on behalf of me by 3rd dec.after 1 day an person from gordrej came and saw the things and instead of addressing the complaint he advised me to buy a stabilizer for rs 2000.He said that this refeezerator will not work properly without the satbilizer.As i was not informed about this fact
                                  while making the puchase ,and didnot think that stabilzer needed ,so i refused to purchase the stabilizer and asked for the replacement of glass cover only.
                                  the representative said he will come back next day to solve the problem.

                                  till date no one came nor any one from godrej contacted me to know and resolve the problem.when contacted again to servise center they are telling me that i have toy for visit of representative and for the part to be replaced.
                                  I used to think higly of godrej as brand .but i found the product and service and attitude.all gravely pathetic.

                                    The Service engineer of your authorized service centre is also not good and punctual to attend complains and he is not up to the mark at his behavior with customers.

                                    I agree Godrej HAD a good reputation at one time, but we have faced the same problem with their frig recently.

                                    Gave our frig GF49 for repairs on the 25th of May 2010 complain no. 704878 and was told this has a foreign compressor and you will get a replacement since we are not competent to repair it. It was given back to us beginning of July and they had returned it without fixing it. Poonam service center told me that the company had refused to replace the compressor with a new one and they had been told to fix this and send it back.

                                    Very clear that they could not. The frig never worked and the service center finally took the frig back under complaint no. 719104. So far it has not been repaired. Think they are waiting for the guarantee to die out and then they can return it with impunity and tell me that if I need a new compressor then I should pay for it. Wonderful people to work for. This has become a joke. One thing is for sure this has taught me NOT TO BUY GODREJ PRODUCTS. THEY ARE THE MOST IRRESPONSIBLE PEOPLE TO DEAL WITH. Am really sorry to have said that because they were a company who we were so proud of. They used to be the icons of the industry. What happened?

                                      We purchase Godrej refrigerator double door five years ago, since then we are having problems of non-cooling. Many times we made complaints and and someone was coming and sometime it gone to service centre but still we are suffering from problems. Earlier it was was not freezing ice and part was becoming mild cool, service man made some changes and now it freezing ice but lower part same temperature from outside.
                                      We are having other brands of similar model, they are performing very well.
                                      We bought another refrigerator 30 years ago, and it was nice, we hardly developed problems except in the last few years so we replaced it with Godrej.
                                      Please note my complaint and get rid from these problems.

                                      I have bought double door GFE 28 D Godrej refrigerator on 7.11.07.Since 2 mths there is non cooling .
                                      1.After coomplaining the technician on ist visit found compressor defective which was subsequently replaced & paid for the default
                                      2.subsequently, again the problem started 2 days later. on 2nd visit technician did something without explaining what was the default.
                                      3.Problem still persisted & on 3rd visit capacitor was found to be defective & hence we were asked to pay for new one like one.It took lot of trouble on our part to make them understand that they had failed to fix the problem & hence it was wrong to ask us for further payment without any guarantee of future success.
                                      4.Still after tall claims made by them problem started 2 days later with no cooling taking place at all even when capacitor was replaced

Thenafter, there was a problem in the toughened glass, so we were unable to put anything on the glass. It took more than 7 to 8 months for replacement.                                       Sir, I had lodged a complaint regarding non cooling in my refrigerator on dt. 23.06.2010 vide complaint no. 384699. After two days one technician came and told that there is a leakage of Gas and he will fill the gas by tomorow but after two days no one came. After giving reminder in cust. care another technician came and told that there is no problem of gas leakage but the compressor is out of order and need to be replaced and assured to visit next day with compressor (the refrigerator is under warranty). But after passing 7 days no one has visit to rectify the complaint. In this context, let me know how many days are required to over a complaint. At this summer season I am suffering alot due to non working of my refrigerator. Please reply me how many days will take more for the same. and what action is being taken by you at your end.

                                      Service provider from Kolkata not changing parts of Microwave Oven since 10 day

                                      I had give a call for servicing my woven on dtd 01/12/14 vide complaint no.391555.But till now my microwoven is not working.I have given them several reminder but fail.

                                        I have purchase a Refrigerator Model no. GFE 25 BZ SHELL WINE (2E4VSW) from Asha & Co. Civil lines Allahabad vide Doc No. CLR/2008/02876 on dated 16/11/2008. With trust.

                                        In this above reference I stated that the above said Refrigerator had not worked properly (like not proper cooling & not ice freezing etc) sinc its installation (dt 3rd april'2009). I had lodged many complaints (which details are given below) to customer care center. The servicemen/technicians repair it like 8 - 10 times but repeatedly same problem occurs. Now the I/c of godrej service center allahabad had collect said refrigerator to their service center (on dt. 16-Dec'2009). After checking & inspection they told me that this refrigerator is can not repaired because it has manufacturing defect. They send this report to I/c (Mr. Pramod) Regional Godrej Service Center lucknow for Replacement with new. In conversation on telephone m/o January'10 Mr. Pramod (I/c Of Regional Godrej Service Center lucknow) told me that they replaced it up to 15th feb'2010 but they could'nt it. After one week (22nd feb'2010) he said that he will distribute it within one week before holi festival[protected] then he repated same answer up to 15th march'2010. On 15th mar'2010 he (mr. Pramod) informed me on telephone that new refrigerator is send today by transport it will reached to you within three days. but I have not received it till today (31st march'2010). I asked him (mr. Pramod I/c Of Regional Godrej Service Center lucknow) several times on telphone but he didn't give any satisfactory answer about replacemet of my refrigerator. He give only one answer "I will do it shortely" all times.

                                        I am facing to much problem without refrigerator in this summer season. there is four months had gone but no any action is taken by Godrej Customer care center or Godrej company for deleay.

                                        Godrej — Refrigerator door under warranty not replaced

                                        Respected Sir/madam,

                                        Inspite of our repeated complaints (complaint no.634000 from 29/05/2009) regarding replacement of our 2 rusted doors of our double door refrigerator which is under warranty, no action has been taken from our side.Moreover the servicemanof the company who came to check the problem collected Rs. 350 as the transport charge for bringing the door.
                                        Now even after repeated reminder to the company after 4 months since the was complaint lodge no action was taken.

                                        Due to non replacement of door one more problem has started water is leaking from the edge of the door. Now plz tell me who is repansible for this new problem & who will pay for it.

                                        If the company cant provide proper sevice to your customer than why are they cheating the cusotomer by giving warranty & guranty.

                                        Now plz tell sir, wether now our problem will be solved or it will be idle in your mail box.

                                        I virupaksha I have purchase dibble door refrigerator in 2009, and timer has burned on 13th June, we have complied and they come replaced on 13th of June, after 15th is not working, again we have complied 16th they have rectified 24th we have got shack our refrigerator is burned, D P switch and KEB meter all burned, we have given a complied nobody come up, regularly we are calling .
