I had purchased Godrej Refrigerator in Aug 08 since than I m facing the same problem that the unit stop working , we make the complaint to godrej they send the service personal but every time they asked for money for rectification , unit is still under warranty
Its and kind request to you to look into the matter and asked them to replace the unit as the unit is defective.

I HAVE PURCHASE 1 GODREJ REFRIGIRATOR FROM SPENCERS, RTC X ROADS, HYDERABAD ON AUGUST 2009. AT THE TIME OF INSTALATION THE FRIZ HAS NOT WORKED. WE HAVE GIVEN THE COMPLAINT, THEN THE SERVICE ENGINEER ATTENDED AND TOLD ME TO FILL THE GAS. AFTER THEY FILLED THE GAS. TILL LAST WEEK IT HAS WORKED. BUT NOW IT IS NOT WORKING. YOUR PEOPLES ARE NOT RESPONDING. SO I REQUEST YOU PLEASE RESPOND.

    Dear Sir,

    Reference No : complaint No 937543

    I had purchased a Godrej brand 260L frost-free Freeze (model: GF 28 SF EL) from Fairdeal Company, Nagpur on 3rd Aug 2004. This Freeze is giving continuous problems of breakdowns.

    This freeze was sent for repairs to NGDA, Nagpur in March 2007. Its PCB and sensors were changed at that time.The freeze was out of order for a week. Again the freeze broke down in November 2009 and it was out of order for 4-5 days. The sequence of breakdowns still persist. The Freeze once again broke down on 12th July 2010. Freeze has been repaired by local Service centre i.e. NGDA on 16th July 2010.

    This time they have bye-passed the electronic circuitry and virtually made it to non-EL from EL brand. I have already spent nearly 5 thousand rupees in repairs which comes out to be 40% of cost price. In addition, I have lost many days of working of the Freeze but most of all it has caused immeasurable mental agony and erosion of confidence from an esteemed consumer brand manufacturer like Godrej.

    They are charging Rs 1960/ this time for bye-passing the circuitry and making it to a most basic model of freeze. Rs 500/= has already been given as advance. May I know why I have to bear the cost of this repair for making my Freeze from EL to non EL model. It must be borne by the company itself as the product that is now I am having is not the same which I had purchased ( It is downgraded version of the earlier one).

    The common denominator in all the breakdowns so far has been the failure of the electronic circuitry involved .It seems that the product (EL Model ) was not properly proven at that point or may be the product was having the design problem . This is further substantiated by the versions of the mechanics that this model has been giving regular maintenance trouble and its PCB are not coming.

    You are requested to look into the whole affair and do justice so that the eroded credibility can be bridged and the cost of repairs should be borne by the company.

      Dear Sir/Madam,

      With reference to the above mentioned subject, I would like to inform you that my Mother-in Law has purchased one Refrigerator from Godrej on 05/10/09 vide Application No. - 1182726, Salesman Code- 5162 by cash against byeback of her old Godrej Refrigerator.

      With that purchase she has also received a BAJAJ MIXER GRINDER as GIFT.

      Surprisingly when we received the consignment , we found the MRP printed on the box was Rs.14,930.00/- where as the Invoice value was Rs. 17920.00/- for the same consignment.(i.e. a difference of Rs. 2990.00)

      After that when we contacted with the respective salesman of your company i.e. Mr.Rabi Sankar Ghosh,Code- 5162 (Totally arrogant and mis behaved person) , he first of all was not willing at all to meet us to explain the difference and then told us that the difference was due to a Combo offer given by Godrej where the Gift Item Price was also added with the Refregerator price.

      This we feel total cheating from the company as your sales man never explained us that the GIFT????? price will be included along with the Refregerator price.

      This is venkatata reddy, we purchased a godrej refregerator model noGFE220S/2007frostfree refregetor on 2-3-2008, but the very first day of the puirchase it does not cool . we called upto your customer care for several times but they came after six days and can did temporary repair and went away
      2. then again after three days the same problem occured and again we called up and this tim e theycame aftyer five days on giving several cvomplints and again they did the same temparary repair not telling about the actuall problem .
      3. Then after six months again the same problem occured and again we called up and this time the customer care executive gave us the service center phone no and asked to call them, and we called up there but they gave a rude reply and talk with us rediculously then also we requested them to come aand repair our refregetor but they came after six days and the techenician Mr sateesh from hyderabad said that this is compressure related problem gas has to be filled in the refregetrator so that we send a group of technicioansto rectify the problem and taking our signatures on some papers and he gone and after six days they came and did some repair .
      4. And after six months of repairy we have got same problem again and called the customer care they came and has taking Rs 1200/ from us and didinot send the technecians for several days so that we struggle very much to call the people to repair the refregerator when we aasked about the problem they told the same old story of compressure related problem even afetr we got five years of warrant on compressure thay didnot ready to replace that one, and repired the fridje on old style.
      5.after six months of repiry now we got the same cooling problem
      so how many times we have to spend lots of money to repair the refregerator we made a blunder by perchasing your company's refregerator, in futuire we never going to buy any of your company's products and we are telling to our circle about your worst after sales service lazyness and bad manners of your employies and your poor technicians and discouraging them to purchase your products and we do this untill you rectify our problem.
      6. we demand the exchange of this refregerator, if your company has a little bit of moral values, then rectify our problem immiediately and permamemtly because we dont have any faith in your companies techniciansand we thougt that this problem is not goiing to be rectified so that we demand exachange of our refregerator and the money that we paid for the service should be refundeded to us.

        It is strange that the reason I am writing here is not to complaint, but to compliment. I could not find any avenue on this website which allowed me to share my opinion if it was positive, hence I am choosing this.

        I purchased a Godrej refrigerator almost 4 months back and started to face problem wrt to cooling within first few days only. I complained to the dealer, Vijay Sales, through whom I had bought this piece and the complaint was attended, albeit not resolved permanently.

        As it was only a temporary fix, it occurred again and yet again a service personnel visited my house and attempted to resolve. However it re-occurred again and I decided not to waste my time with the dealer services any longer.

        The third time that this happened, I decided to contact the Godrej HQ.

        To my pleasant experience, one Mr. Salil Doshi who looks after all service related issues in the Mumbai city, along with a chief engineer from the plant visited my house within 1hour of the complaint and patiently heard my problem. The chief engineer performed a thorough check of the refrigerator and educated me on the root of the issue. He even reassured me that post a full check up, if indeed the problem was a manufacturing issue (which happens quite rarely), Godrej will replace the fridge.

        The fridge was rectified to operate for the next one week and true to the Godrej promise, Mr. Doshi actually got me a new replacement fridge! This is not very ordinary in the electronics industry as i know many other people who have faced similar issues with other companies but have never got a replacement.

        I also received a call post the replacement to check if indeed the fridge was working fine and I am glad to share that I have not faced any issues thereafter.

        I would like to use this site to truly thank Mr. Salil Doshi, his chief engineer Mr. Vispi and the Godrej family for helping me form a positive image of Godrej and showing my loyalty to them in future.

        I encourage the Godrej users to please contact the HQ directly and not go via any dealers should they face any problem and seek help. I am sure you will be happier that way. This is the idea behind sharing my personal experience on this site.

          In last July my godrej refrigerator got problem as it's compressor came to be damaged in power fluctuation. After lodging complaint with the shop, a mechanic came after two months and changed compressor after taking his charges. i put on v-guard also so that further contingencies won't occur because of power fluctuation. But i experienced that there is no cooling to much extent. because of it i do not get use of the refrigerator.
          There was cooling problem in my fridge. The complaint which I made to Godrej Service Centre (Toll Free No. [protected])on 2 -April -2010 and the complaint no 457747 . In spite of several phone calls nobody has turn up to rectify the fault .GODREJ MAKES FALSE PROMISES TO SEND THERE TECHNICIAN WITHIN 24 HOURS. WHICH DOESNT HAPPENED . Since then I am waiting for the Godrej technician to come. and today is 6-April-2010 .Then why you want to sell ur product if you dont have proper network service .NOR UR PRODUCT IS DURABLE OR UR SERVICE .IF YOU DONT HAVE THE PROPER SERVICE NETWORK THEN WHY YOU SALE REFRIDGERATOR I THINK I WILL BE BETTER TO STOP MANUFACTURING UR PRODUCTS . WHAT ALL UR TECHNICIANS ARE SLEEPING ???????????????
          NOW IN SUMMER FRIDGE IS ONE OF IMPORTENT THING BUT U GODREJ PEOPLE ...
          I DONT KNOW WHY YOU HAVE OPENED THAT CALL CENTER WHEN U DONT RESPOND.
          FOR EVERY 6 MONTH UR GODREJ NEED A SERVICE .VERY VERY VERY VERY POOR SERVICE.

            Sir/Madam,
            This is with reference to my refrigerator purchased from M/s Rajpal Brothers, Meerut on 03.05.2005.
            Since the beginning of September 2009 I have been facing the cooling problem in fridger. I launched the first complaint at M/s Rajpal Brothers on 02.09.2009 for which they gave up their efforts and finally sent back my refrigerator in exactly the same condition.
            Then, on their advice we launched the first complaint at your toll free number [protected]/ [protected] with Reference No.868723 dt.24.09.2009.
            The technician from Unique Quality Express, Nehru Road, Meerut came in on the next day to look into the problem and took away the refrigerator to sort out the persistent problem.
            On 10.10.2009, I received a call from the Meerut Service Center confirming that the refrigerator has been repaired and can be delieverred against the payment to be made. I paid the bill of Rs.981/- vide Sale Invoice No.13/1169 and the refrigerator was delivered at my place, with lots of scratches, dumps, etc. on its body. Also the waste water trays were not fitted in properly on many requests to the service center.
            It was committed by the service center that if within one month from the date of sale invoice same problem comes up again, they will sort it out without any cost to customer.
            Just after a few days, I again found the cooling problem in my refrigerator (more severe in nature as whole of the refrigerator was working as the fridger this time) and made many requests in person to the service center to look into the same. But there was no committed response from there end.
            Atlast, with no option left, I relaunched my complaint on 22.10.2009 with Reference No.872577. Next day, the technician came in and understood the problem and went away telling that he will inform about this problem at the service center. Since that day, there is no response from the service center despite of so many reminder calls/request in person.

            I really hope that you are going to look forward into this matter with utmost importance without taking any time in delay.

            Else, I will have only one option left with me to go to the Consumer Forum to get this matter sorted.

            There is no answer whether the faulkt will be replaed or not. Almost one month has passed.

              Dear Sir / Madam,

              This is Ampita Jain daughter of Mr. Ashok Jain, a customer of Godrej since last 25yrs. We have purchased a Godrej Refrigerator Smart Care on a exchange of Godrej Refrigerator old model which we were using it from last 20yrs. The date of purchasing is 2nd Sep'2008 and the time we have taken this product we are not at all satisfied with this as it has so many problems like, leakage of water from the fridge, vegetables & fruits getting bad very soon, leakage from the fridger tray etc...Its been a year now and we have also logged a complaint against the same to the customer care of Godrej but the thing is that the executive from their side had visited our place more than 10 times but no changes in service. We have been spoken to senior level people to replace the Refrigerator but no feedback. Our Authorised Service provider is: M/S Tanama Cool Servie, 306/307, Kailash Explanade, LBS Marg, Ghatkopar (W). Ph[protected].

              Being so old customer we never thought of such experience, because we had a trust in Godrej and replaced a new product of same company. The thing is that they are not ready to solve the problem neither to replace the refrigerator. This is not the way they treat the customer.

              Please look into the matter asap and get back to us. Also, let me know the details you need from our side.

              That I Vijay lumar R/o Fzr (punjab), a customer of Godrej last 2yrs.                 I have purchased Godrej Refrigerator Model No. GFE 30 DZ, 280 litres from M/s SRINIVASA ELECTRONICS, Plot No 2, Anupuram Colony, Beside Andhra Bank, Kapra, ECIL, Hyderabad-62 for Rs 17, 000 (Bill No: 1158 date[protected].

                The new Godrej refrigirator Model No. GFE 30 DZ, 280 litres was installed in my house on 31st August 2009 around 22:30 hours. It was noticed that the humidity control knob of the refrigirator is not at its place. More importantly, to my great surprise, the new refrigirator started making unbearable whistling like sound (similar to Milk cooker) sporadically and this phenomenon has been a continuous affair even todate. Next day i.e. On[protected] over telephone, M/s Srinivasa Electronics was informed about the unusual sound from the refrigirator and about unavailability of humidity control knob. The service man from M/s Godrej visited my house on the next day morning and told the humidity control knob will be replaced and remedial measures for abnormal sound will be done. Afterwards, there was no response from the service group of M/s Godrej. After three weeks elapsed, I went personally to M/s Srinivasa Electronics and told about the matter. The shopkeeper told me that as he did not receive any feedback regarding the complaint he thought it was settled. Then I wrote the complaint in his register. Subsequently, I received a call from the Godrej customer care and after about a week, a service person from M/s Godrej namely Mr Praveen Kumar visited and checked the refrigirator and he told that the sound was abnormal and the refrigirator will be replaced with a new one. He has asked me to sign on a form where I wrote the nature of problem and requested for immediate remedial action. Fortunately, my senses prevailed rightly and I could ask him and noted his telephone number. The service persons were not giving any acknowledgement of their findings and/or the future course of action with its expected completion date.
                Again there was no response from the service group and I could not contact due to my busy schedule and twenty more days have been elapsed. On[protected], I contacted Mr Praveen Kumar on phone and enquired about status of my complaint. He told that he has communicated to the concerned and he gave me the phone number of Mr Vamsee, Manager and asked me to contact.

                When I contacted Mr Vamsee and asked him about the status of my complaint, his first response was he was not aware of the problem. Mr Vamsee told me that now he has come to know about the complaint and it will be attended immediately. But, again three more days have been elapsed and no service person attended so far.

                Finally, my submission is as follows.

                Since its installation, i.e for the past one and half month, I have been undergoing lot of mental agony and due to the sporadic abnormal milk cooker sound by the new refrigirator all my family members including myself have been suffering a lot and are having majority of distrubed sleep nights. This is to request you to kindly make suitable arrangements to replace the refrigirator with a new one.

                  My Fridge is not cooling though compressor is continuosly runnig. I logged with complaint with Godrej call center for the last 3 days but never got any technician coming ug up. I called back several times and then finally they gave me service center number and did not allow me to talk to their manager.

                  In the absence of technician's number I do not know what's the status as when he is coming or not however they tell the name of techy is Suresh.

                  This is what I get from Godrej, I am taking help of my friend and circle to find out how to fix this problem and going to talk about unprofessionlism of Godrej call center / service center.

                  I do not have choice of exchanging the product but I would go far in case I have.

                  I purchased Godrej refrigerator GFP 280 X Pentacool in May 2005. But that refrigerator not working after some days of purchase so I call customer care and executive came and don’t rectified the problem and advised to exchange the refrigerator from the Godrej Company, I contact customer care they conditioned me if I take AMC for 04 years on the cost of 1600/- they can change my refrigerator. I accept because no other way I found. The Pentacool refrigerator model no. GFP 280S ZOP delivered me in November 2006 with AMC of 04 years.

                  In April 2009 my refrigerator stops working I call customer care & register approximately 04 complainants ( Dt. 9/4/09 Comp. No. 127028, Dt. 13/4/09 Comp. No. 129216, Dt. 23/4/09 Comp. No. 135670 & Dt. 27/4/09 Comp. No. 137860) and got replaced some part with many difficulty and hard chasing with service center, in the above complaint I also request for Rusted door of my refrigerator, that time one executive told me your complaint of rusted door sent to Godrej Head office Mumbai and door was changed as the earliest. After 4-5 months neither change doors nor any reply from the Godrej Company / Customer care.

                  On 05.10.09 I registered a fresh complaint of Rusted doors of my double Door refrigerator and complaint No. is 245273 and the same day executive came in my house and sees the doors and said me the doors required replaced & he informed the company for urgent replacement. But after 15 days as usual no response from Godrej Customer Care, then again I call customer care 20.10.09 and requested the same thing and they assured me today customer care executive has came and solve the problem. But again they make me fool no one came at my home.

                  On 25.10.09 I received a SMS * Godrej SMS * Your Service Call 245273 is completed. Thank You for your payment of Rs. NIL to our auth. Service provider. But I don’t know who rectified my complaint and which refrigerator because I have same refrigerator with rusted doors.

                  As usual Once again on 26/10/09 I registered a complaint of Rusted doors of my double Door refrigerator and complaint No. is 255913 and they again assured me today customer care executive has came and solve the problem . Executive came see the Rusted doors of my double Door refrigerator and charged me Rs. 450/- as transportation charge of New Doors and also assured me that the Rusted doors replaced with in one week.

                  After that no one replace Rusted doors of my double Door refrigerator I contact several time Mr. Ajay, Excutive (Mob. [protected]), Mr. Dhiraj (Ph. No.[protected], Mr. Sahil Choudhary (Mob. [protected]) & last I contact Mr. Alok Area Manager (Mob. [protected]), his reply is the company stopped the manufacturing of refrigerator which is you have. As Godrej Company the warranty of Rusted doors is 10 years.

                  Kindly suggest me what will I do for very poor response of your company.

                  Now shall I request you to expedite the matter and solve at the earliest.

                  AMC contract no. [protected] , reference location [protected] has been done with godrej on 5th july 2009 for 2 years . Problem in refrigerator has occured and complaint has been done on 13 th March ,with complaint no. 314549 It was attended by by Mr. Shhetal from Penguin enterprise on 14 th and as Mr Sheetal told us that there is a ducting problem and has suggested for air ducting replacement which was not covered under AMC and i agreed for the samem with the condition that i wont hear after spending Rs.660 that the problem is something else.Same thing happened and my problem was not solved and i again called up for complaint.This time Mr Parvez turned up and he said there was problem in fan adjustment and he has repaired it and we will get proper cooling within hours.
                  Problem is still there and after lot of calls and again complained by No. 320396 Dt 25th mar'10.Despite my repeted calls after that nobody has turned up.
                  Sorry to say that company like Godrej is offering such a poor service.I'm feeling cheated by paying for 2 years of AMC charges.

                    I am in possession of a Godrej make refrigerater model 265 ltr sl no 56568 colour grey.I went into AMC vide United Home Care Noida vide their bill no 573 dated 24 Dec 08 .After AMC my fridge developed a problem of less cooling in the comparment leading to no ice formatiom in the deep fridger and spoiling of stored goods.

                    Accordingly i had registerd complaint in thi regards for 05 times.Howeveer the status of thr problem / defects remained same .The details of the complaints are as follows:-

                    Ps get my fridge restored to its peak efficiency within a week to avoid unnecessary trouble to customer

                      Godrej Refrigerator — demanding money even before repair

                      I bought the godrej refrigirator on 10 Jun 2004. I lodged the complaint at toll free number. The representative came to house and after inspection he is demanding Rs.1250 to get it repaired. As he is saying that the amount of repair has to be paid even before the repair is done. Under which indian law the company can take the amount of repair before the product is made serviceable and satisfied by the customer.

                      Plese stop this type o[censored]seless rules and all company rules should be certified by the Govt of India stating that the set of rules is not against the Indian laws and not hazardous to consumer benefit laws.
                      Advise how the company be booked to law for its arrogant self set laws.

                      Godrej — no replacement of the refrigerator

                      i bought a freez from dealer of company godrej with trust, but unfortunately the freez facing problem from first...!
                      the service man repair it like 9 to 10 times, but repeatetly the same problem occurs, and now the warrnty periode also about to gone, but the dealer not replacing it!!!]

                      I beg to state that I purchased a refrigerator of a godrej product (model : EDGE 183 ltr.) on the date 29th of April, 2009. And within these 5 days, it started to annoyed me. Right now I am facing two problem in my refrigerator, internal bulb has been fused or may be another cause of not lighting. And cooling is not up to level. When I start my refrigerator, It’s cooling started, but after few minutes it seems to cool down.
                      I talked about my problem to both of centers (from where I purchased and the service center of my product) but did not get any satisfactory repairing.

                        We purchase Godrej refrigerator one years ago, since then we are having problems of non-cooling. Many times we made complaints and and once a guy came from godrej charged 250rs for the visit after making lot of complaint they got the compressor replaced & charged 1400 RS for the same.Just after 1 day of the replacement we have started facing the same problem but now we are making repeatedly complaints but no body is responding on the complaint. Please note my complaint and get rid from these problems. We strictly want our refrigerator piece to be replaced as soon as possible and the authorities to take note of the complaint . Please take action lest the customers stop believing any age old brand

                                Reference: Complain No. 813897, dated June 30, 2009.

                                Dear Sir,

                                On the basis of complain, one mechanique of sevice centre visited to my residense and checked the functioning of machine. According to him, the referigerator had idenitified with compressor problem, and because of that it was not cooling. The machine has been reached to the centre just on next day.

                                Till date, we are waiting for the refrigerator to be repaired. It has been taken many time followup. The service centre incharge puts the excuse that the compressor is not available.

                                I am really surpirsed of the service accounbtability of such a renouned company. Please do the needful to get the referigerator repaired at the earliest.

                                The referigerator has been purchased by me on Oct 24, 2006 from Nav Bharat Electronics, Khunti. The gurantee card along with money receipt is kept by the service incharge.

                                Godrej — Deliver non working refrigerator

                                I purchased a refrigerator from Vijay Sales , Lajpat Nagar, New Delhi on 29 Jan 2012.
                                CSN Number is 364 and call No. is [protected].
                                I received an SMS on 29 Jan. 2012 because payment was done on 29 Jan but product was delivered on 30 Jan 2012. There is no issue for this ,I understand the Delhi traffic and warehouse locations.
                                This refrigerator is not working from First day . Engineer check the refrigerator and found that there is issue in Gas.
                                Why did not check the refrigerator before deliver.
                                This is only harassment. Product is not working from First day because your team deliver useless Godrej Refrigerator.

                                  I have bought a double door refrigerator on 25/01/08 & after some months we discovered that its having Excess cooling problem We brought this have bought a double door refrigerator from Laxmi Traders Ambernath (E) Model No GFE220s We have been asking the support engineer to get this problem Solved as this problem is Since we brought the refrigerator Till date we are facing the same problem & calling service engineer to get it solved .As I Called service center at Kalyan they said I have to call the call center & calling their I found that the Kalyan service center is no more in to Godrej services, Now as the refrigerator is out of warranty they are asking us to pay the service charges I have some of the details of complain made at Kalyan center.

                                  It all started off, when my refrigerator was undergoing some cooling problem .I called up on [protected] on 05-Sep-2009 under ref. : 230495 and technician visited and explained that there is some part defective and that needs to be replaced and he told me that he will be coming on sat (12-Sep-2009) to fix the problem.However no person came on saturday and to my surprise, I received sms that the call has been completed.Then I made a call back on the above no., and they opened 1 new case no. 233410.Agent on the other side told that she will try to get technician visit on Sunday 13-Sep-2009 and I requested her to give me call of the tentative time, if this gets confimred.Whole day was gone and there was not even a single call from their side.Monday morning I received a call about the problem whether that still exists or not and told me they will get back again.

                                  Again, whole week was gone and there was no response from their side and when on friday, I gave a call and asked them to escalate the matter, I was told they have escaleted the matter higher up and they will try to resolve it and assured of the technician visit on saturday (19-Sep-2009) but again no tentative time was given.Once again I waited for the technician and no body turned up I gave a call bak and afford to speak to supervisor after lots of request and by this time I have lost all my patience.Again explained the whole matter to supervisor who assured me of a call back and when he called back he took the person from service center in conference and we settled for engr visit on sunday at 12:00 but as the person from service center was not ready for 12:00 noon time I gave them extra 1 hour that is 1:00 but he commited that technician will visit before 1:00 P:M only.

                                  On 20-Sep-2009, they crossed all the limits and no body turned up by 12:45. and then I received a call from technician that he will not be able to reach in time and it would take another 1 hour to reach.I immediately gave a call back on call center no.Pradeep in call center after speaking to service center commited that the technician will be at my place by 1:00 P:M . I asked Pradeep if you fail in this then can I get compensation and also asked pradeep to take care and follow up this case and check with the technician till the time he visit.He accepted this but again the same story, lack of responsibility from every side. No body turned up and again I gave call back at 2 :00 P:M and this time Dherender was there who told that the tech visit is of Monday and asing him whether he can see previous records, he said no he cannot .his attitude was so negative as if he was not ready to help a customer and repeatedly kelp on telling that he cant help on this.There was no person supervising him nor there was any person higher up there whom I can speak to. No customer would like a person like Dherender to speak to. This was sheer torture for any customer who will go thru this situation. And believe me no person from any side of Godrej has called me nor there is any technician visit uptill now.

                                  Now you tell me the way out as in this high temp when every person is totally dependent on referigerator, mine is not working from past 16 days and don’t know how long will it go and if it could be resolved or not.I would appreciate if some body from Godrej could help me out of this terrible situation and I really want some action against both call center and service centers.

                                    My self, Devender Singh, from Haryana purchased Godrej Fridge on 20th March 2009 from Jind. Since the first day the freezer door is not closing tightly and it is remaining open.

                                    I have registered compaint with Local Godrej Care Centre in Hisar, Haryana in the month of April. They just replaced the door but the problem remains the same. Then they said that my door with frame has to be changed. From last 3 months I was hearing that the door and frame is not in the stock at the company level.Yesterday they said that they have received the door and frame from the company and replaced my door as well as frame but worst part is that they changed my frame and door with old one and used fridge and most irritating is that it is doing the same problem.

                                    My complaint no is 904295. I have lodged my complaints many a times to their toll free no as well to their head branch at Delhi. But it seems that they just deal in sale not in service.

                                    Now I am just looking forward to go to Consumer forum and will share my experience later with all.

                                    i also purchased the same on Sep 2009. i am also facing the same problem with Goderej fridge. door is not closing properly. 2 times service people came and replaced the door frame, but no improvement. i would like to know what is the reason for that.

                                    B. Ice getting formatted in upper box/compartment and spoiling our store items
                                    C. Beside Fruit tray is falling down ( Which is above vegetable storage tray/box)
                                    D. Regulators / Cut-out are not working in order.

                                    Recently Mr. Harshal – Field Engineer, has offered me exchange offer at 50 % - Which is a more than a principal cost o[censored]nit. This will cost me much more for a new unit
                                    New Unit will Cost me Rs. 25, 000/- (around) Less: 50% and cost which I born on 1st Unit.

                                    Under such given circumstances – as a matter of goodwill – Company should replace the same or similar unit at free of cost.

                                    I regret to say, to all above I have written several letters and no written confirmation is made till to-day

                                    We further request you to please extend your personal efforts and interest

                                      Dear Sir,

                                      I purchased a Godrej Refrigerator in May 2008 from Refrico Lalbagh Lucknow.After 2 months it started giving problem.It's a double door refrigerator and the moisture comes on the top of the lower door and the water comes on the ON/OFF inside light switch and the switch stops working.I lodged the complaint with Refrico, they asked somebody in the Godrej service Department to deal with the complaint.Someone from the Service Department came and repaired the switched and said that due to the rainy season moisture comes and the problem occurs, this is a very commom problem which normally occurs during this weather.Again after two months the same problem was noticed and I again approached the same Dealer, who this time gave me the Godrej Customer Care No. and I lodged my complaint on !13/10/2008.The Complaint No given to me was MP 1312. To attend the complaint one Mr Shakeel from the Service Department, Lucknow came thrice and finally said to to fill the affected area with cotton.I asked him not to fill cotton as cotton has a limited absorption capacacity and after that problem will occur again and secondly that was not the permanent solution to the problem.Despite my saying that the product is in Warranty you Please replace the same, he insisted on filling the cotton and assured that he had dealt with this kind of problem this way only and the problem never occured.I had no option but to listen to him.It is also Important to note that in North India October is not a Moist season
                                      It was again in March 2009, the problem occured again.I was again lodged a complaint through the dealer and this one Mr Naushad Ali from the service centre, Lucknow came and handled the complaint.after hearing the right from the inception till the filling of cotton he came up with a solution that cotton was wrongly filled rather Grass Wool has to be filled.I insisted again that the refrigerator was in the Warranty you please replace it, but nothing was heard and he made me to speak his Service Head who assured me that Grass Wool is the best and the only solution with this kind of problem and the problem would never occur.Being unknown about the Grass Wool and its propreties, I asked him suppose if problem comes again and my Warranty lapses then?He said that firstly this is a permanent cure and moreover we are here to take care you go ahead with the Grass Wool.On his "dead sure" assurance I agreed.
                                      This is not enough, the same problem appeared again in June 2009 and I lodged a complaint again with the Customer Care DepertmentOn 1st July 2009, Service call no. is 780226.Again Mr.Naushad Ali Came to attend the complaint and very casully said that I have to change the Grass Wool again.When told him about the past instances he made me talk to the Service Head Mr.Abhishek Sharma in Lucknow.He said that you would have to sent the refrigerator to the service centre for thorough examination.I asked him what treatment would you do there, he said I will get the Grass Wool filled with more care this time so that the problem doesn't come again.I, after narrating him the whole story and making him understand that the consumer purchases the refrigerator to used for 12-15 years and if this kind of problem keeps coming every 2-3 months then what's the point in buying a refrigerato fom such a company of repute.He didn't listen to my greviances but insisted on sending the refrigerator to the service centre.I very clearly asked him to give me a writtn assurance that if the problem comes again in the future you would replace the defective refrigerator.He refused. On 07/72009 one Mr. Ravi from the serrvice centre came and insisted me to get the Grass Wool filled.I again insisted on the written assurance which he declined after talking to the service head. Then on 11/72009 one Mr.B.P.Saini from the Service Centre came and humbly requested me to enter the house and inspect the refrigerator, I allowed him to inspect.After thorough examination said that there is a problem and he would let know next day.After two days he called up and insisted me to send the refrigerator to yhe service centre.I again requested for the same assurance on which he said he is a low salaried employee I am incompetent to give any assurances on behalf of the company.I asked him to get the assurance from the competent person an which he said that he would talk to the seniors and let me know accordingly.
                                      On 17/7/2009, Mr.Ravi made me a call from [protected] and said that I had come to pick the refrigerator.I asked about the written assurance, he said he had no idea about this.I narratted him again the whole story, he said he would talk to the service head. Again on 18/7/2009 Mr.BP Saini called up from mobile no.[protected] and said that he send a trolly yesterday to fetch the refrigerator, you didn't send?I once again told him with my request to get the assurance letter and take the refrigerator.He said that some some casuality had taken place in the office today and tomorrow being sunday, he would let me know on monday i.e.20/7/2009
                                      You would also realise after going through the complaint that how the customers are harrassed by theGODREJ STAFF .Secondly, you must have noticed that how smartlyGODREJ STAFF passed away the Warranty period and put me in such a situation where I have no right to claim for a replacement
                                      I sincerely request you to kindly replace the defective refrigerator without any furter delay otherwise I would take the matter to the Consumer Forum for cheating and harassing the customer.

                                      WITH FULL OF FRUSTRATIONS I AM SENDING THIS MAIL TO YOU
                                      MY NAME IS S.PARTHASARATHY, I PURCHASED YOUR GODREJ REFRIGERATION (MODEL NO 19B2 EDGE - CASH BILL NO - 4110) ON 02ND AUGUST 2009. FROM THE 3 DAY AFTER INSTALLATION THE PROBLEM STARTED. INITIAL PROBLEM IS OF GAS LEAKAGE AND YOUR SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE ATTENDED ON 08/08/09 (COMPLAINT NO - 313992) AND ACCEPTED FOR REPLACEMENT.

                                      REPLACED NEW REFRIGERATOR RECEIVED ON 17TH AUG 2009. (ORDER NO 107997 & PICKING LIST - 97817). AGAIN THE SAME PROBLEM OCCURRED (GAS LEAKAGE – FRIDGE) NOTED AND COMPLAINT RAISED ON 10/09/09. THE SAME IS ALSO ACCEPTED BY YOUR REPRESENTATIVE TO GIVE REPLACEMENT (COMPLAINT NO - 335489).

                                      IN THIS CIRCUMSTANCE, WE REQUESTED TO CHANGE THE MODEL FROM 19B2 TO 19C2. IT HAS BEEN ACCEPTED FROM YOUR END AND AS PER THE DISCUSSIONS REGARDING PRICING Rs.650 PAID (9000 INITIAL AMOUNT PAID + 650 FOR 19C2).

                                      FINALLY 19C2 EDGE REFRIGERATOR RECEIVED ON 19/09/09 (ORDER NO 108169 & PICKING LIST - 98022). AFTER ALL THE HURDLES, WE THOUGHT THAT ATLEAST THIS SHOULD HAVE WORK PROPERPLY, BUT IN THIS ALSO THERE IS A PROBLEM IN THE DOOR LOCK. YOUR REPRESENTATIVE ALSO PROMPTLY ATTENDED THE PROBLEM AND TOLD US THE DOOR NEED TO BE CHANGED AND HE EVEN MARKED IN YOUR SERIVICE COMPLAINT REPORT.

                                      WITH REFERENCE TO THAT, I AM RECEIVING THE CALLS FROM SERVICE CENTRES ON ONLY COMPRAMISING BASIS. I REALLY FED UP WITH YOUR PRODUCT.

                                      KINDLY REPLACE THE DOOR AT THE EARLIEST TO STOP US TO MOVE LEGALLY.

                                        I baught a Godrej refrejrator before 1 year, after using the refrejrator i found a problem, when we swith of the refrejrator all the drain water fall in the refrejrator, so i complain the retailor, he complain to company and after a week a person came from Godrej he do somthing in refrejrator and told us that your problem is solved, but next time we drain the refrejrator the problem was same. no change in refrejrator. so i complain the retailor again. he said he has complaind to company, but no one is come till now.. company give the warranty of ten years.. but it is making problem in only in 1 year
                                        so what should i do to take action on campany to solve my problem..
