I had purchased a 1.5 ton split ac from Viveks, Annanagar showroom, Chennai around five years back.It is now out of warranty and requires general servicing.Viveks the store from where i had purchased the ac, also has a service center.So I decided to call them to service my ac.I had given a call on 28/07/2009 at around 2.00 pm, and the call center employee said they had some problem with their computers and that they were not able to retrieve my details for the number which i had provided.So he took down my address and said he will update the details later on his system(once the problem was fixed)and added that a technician will attend within 48 hours(but no complaint number was provided to me).48 hours were up and no one had attended.So i had called again on 30th to find out the reason for the delay.The person who spoke to me then said that no complaint was registered and that she will take the complaint now.I agreed but i had requested the Viveks' call centre employee to send a technician within a day.A week passed and still no one attended.I had called again on 7/08/2009, yet another complaint was taken and a complaint number provided, and the same line was repeated"someone will attend to your complaint within 48 hours"(i am afraid they don't even mean what they say).It was no suprise this time, 48 hours had passed and NO RESPONSE.I called again on the 9th in the morning, and had a very long conversation with an employee asking him to connect me to a person of higher designation.I finally was able to convince him to ask the supervisor to call me.He said the above will be done by evening.I waited till 5.30 pm, but no such person called.I became a little furious(its about time i did).Called again, and i was promised that someone would definitely, 100% attend by tomorrow morning.10th of august 2009 no technician has been sent yet.I spoke to the call center team head.She said she will call the supervisor, inform him the seriousness of this issue and revert to me within an hour.The call was made at around 5 pm, now its 6.15 pm by my watch.It is very unfortunate that stores like these claims to be a National Electronics Service Dealers Association, USA international member.
MAJOR DRAWBACKS
>They have terrible systems, which don't function properly.(in my case it worked every alternate time)
>I could NOT talk to a higher authority how much ever i pleaded, screamed or even gave my life for that sake.
>They charge Rs.350 for this kind of service.
>My call was not transferable, so every time i called i had to explain the problem again to a different person(which is very irritating considering the time they take)
>Even if it was the same person, he had trouble remembering(i wouldn't blame that person considering the number of calls he has to attend everyday and those poor agitated customers)
I FEEL IF BY THE ELECTRICITY REGULATION COMISSIONS ACT IN 1998, THE TAMIL NADU EC IS LIABLE TO PAY COMPENSATION (RANGING FROM Rs.100-Rs.1000) FOR NOT REGISTERING COMPLAINTS OR FOR NOT PERFORMING DUTIES, EVEN PRIVATE COMPANIES ARE(obviously not under the same act).

I have purchased two hand set, Model Haier S210 and Unit Serial No: IS[protected]. I bought this on Nov-2009. All of a sudden to my bad time my mobile stopped functioning. I gave the mobile to one of your listed service center in Chennai named TS INFOSYSTEMS, Chennai-600107. Ph: 26203985. Mob: [protected]. The date of my submission of my handset is 18-May-2010. Unfortunately I’m yet to get back any information regarding the status of the mobile from your so listed service centre.
I have enquired numerous time say more then 100 calls from my mobile and land line but the reply I get is always a vague. I m really fed up and getting frustrated by hearing unacceptable explanation that we have raised the indent to the Head office and still we have not received the materials. A very repeated recorded like message we will give a call with in half-an- hour. Only God knows when that auspicious day and that particular Half-an-hour will come and or never come again as for as my handset in concerned.
Do you think a feed back one from a neglected customer like me will boost up your product in the competitive market? Else you want me to represent to some body legally. I hope the word legal is so hurting to you and me too. Please see to that no customer should feel and get frustrated like me.
I request you to take this mail and feed back on your service vendor on high priority basis to solve the issue.
Last but not the least the money we have invested is very hard earned and the time spent to get back the repaired handset cannot be compensated on either way.
