Dear Sir/Madam,
I am an ordinary citizen and also a HDFC bank customer for more than 5 years now. I have purchased this policy in a good faith but it seems like you have no trust in your customers. This procedure of documentation is worse than a Government run company.
Now let me put this in perspective, On 16th September 2015, My wife ( Joan Rita Obrien, ) admitted to a Non networked hospital due to high fever, she was 7 month’s pregnant then. Initial diagnosis said that it is “ Dengue” ( diagnostic report sent to you), and the treatment started accordingly under the supervision of two doctors. Later tests conducted for dengue showed negative and the doctor concluded as viral fever (please check discharge summary).
Case sheets and treatment ( in patient) already submitted to you. I am sure that you are competent enough to recognize the treatment provided which is to bring down the infection.
Now, while my wife was still in hospital my daughter Angel got high fever on 21st September 2015 and the Doctor at the hospital started medication and suggested few tests (you can see the lab tests reports attached dated 21st September). However, on 21st mid night (that is 22nd September) she was admitted and put on drips as the fever was not subsiding. This day care treatment admission was not conclusive and hence your request for final diagnosis report doesn’t hold good.
Angel was discharged on 26th September 2015, with final diagnosis of Influenza B.( report is already submitted to you) will attach again with this letter. Your request for final diagnosis report looks like a tool for harassment.
My plight at hospital did not end there as my wife who was pregnant, due to fever had to under go immediate c-section on 24th September( even before Angel’s discharge). These bills not submitted for claim as “delivery” is not covered in my plan. The baby born prematurely was in hospital with viral infection and stayed there for more than a Month. The Doctor treating the baby said, that mother might had the same infection. This also resulted in late submission of bills from my end.
Now your request for case history of bronchial asthama of my wife, dear sir/madam, asthama is a very common phenomenon, which she had from birth. She is on inhaler for more than a decade now, there is no treatment under gone separately in the near past.
Moreover, it is very much clear from the hospital records that it was diagnosed as dengue initially and then concluded as viral.
Medical insurance reimbursement should be against the bills, which are original and authentic and also within the eligible claims, then why so much fuss,
