This is regarding a complaint of debit card fraud that had happened against my account number XXXXXXXXXXX at HDFC Bank, Vasundhara Enclave on March 25, 2013. It has been two years and the matter has not yet been resolved. I had lost my debit card and someone had used it fraudulently and made two purchases against the card on that day. I had registered a complaint to HDFC Bank (complaint no. 568850 for Rs. 393 and complaint no. 568847 for Rs. 21, 200). The amount of Rs. 393 was spent at Bikanerwala, Sector 18, NOIDA while a mobile phone was purchased for Rs. 21, 200 at The Mobile Store, Sector 18, NOIDA). I had registered a police complaint against the fraud on the same day, i.e. March 25, 2013. I was made to file a form called the cardholder dispute form on the same day at the Vasundhara Enclave branch of HDFC Bank. The manager Mr. Kaushik told me that the amount under question was covered under insurance and the entry would be reversed into my account. The amount of Rs. 393 was reversed into my account on May 13, 2013. HDFC Bank told me in person that the amount of Rs. 393 had been refunded by the merchant (Bikanerwala) and hence it was reversed. That gave me the confidence that the rest of the amount would be reversed. I submitted the documents regarding my identity proof, address proof, complaint letter and dispute form to HDFC Bank again, at their request, on March 22, 2014. Curiously, they had not written to me seeking these documents and instead only said this on the phone when I was chasing the issue with them. As has been the practice, there was no response received against the documents which were submitted for the second time. Over the last two years I have not received any formal explanation why the two amounts have been treated differently and one (Rs. 393) has been refunded and the other (Rs. 21, 200) has not been. Several emails written to the bank seeking an explanation has not elicited any response. The bank chooses to call me a ‘Preferred Customer’ with a dedicated relationship banker. However, none of the emails written to seek an understanding or explanation for the inaction on the part of the bank were responded to. I have recently found out that the case has been closed internally. THIS HAS BEEN HORRIBLE TO HEAR!!! I had written to the RBI ombudsman earlier but I was told that the case was disposed as “BOS requirement has not been met” and the complaint has not been represented properly. The RBI mail was sent on September 5, 2014 against my email on August 28, 2014. If the complaint had not been properly represented, please tell me the details that are missing and I will give you all the details.     I applied for a personal loan of 2 lakhs from HDFC bank for 2 years and they say they can only afford 185000 as my eligibility even though i agreed upon that a executive came and collected the cheques and got the papers signed and did not inform anything about any deductions and the loan amount disbursed was 179250 after deducting for insurance, VAT, taxes some paper charges and processing fees. How pathetic can one be did i apply for a loan or buy a car from HDFC. I do not want their money and i will cancel my credit card from them as well and i want to return the money which i got on 7/17/2015 for their fraudulent service.

      This fraud bank is deducting money from account without any notice. i had around 1500 rupees in my account. last month i saw around 800 was deducted without any notice and even after deduction they didn't bother to drop a mail or massage about that. i come to know this only after login to my bank account. Now this month when i lodged in i saw my account balance is in negative. what the suck service this bank is giving. this is my hard earned money not black money that these bank are stilling from me. And one complaint i have with RBI also, who has given them upper hand to do so. charge is you do not have average monthly balance, charge if you are using your debit card at ATM if exceeding limit. That mean, We people work hard to earn few money and RBI will implement policy in fever of these banks and they start robbing us legally. I would prefer keeping my money myself and i am going to close this HDFC account. Thanks

        I would like to inform you that I am Ketan Jaywant Ovhal.and my policy number is 16753415, I want to say that your executive totally cheat and fraud to me.

        I got a call from Ms. Anu Mishra from mobile [protected] She said that she was calling from HDFC bank regarding the personal loan, offered by the bank for the customers having good banking transactions.

        She told me that as being a bank customer having good transaction record, I was eligible for a personal loan of Rs. 3, 00, 000/- on 8.5%rate of interest and that also without any income proof .She further stated that to avail this loan offer, I need to buy an HDFC life policy of Rs. 50, 000/- as loan security(Guarantee) and later that amount will be adjusted for first five EMIs of loan and then that policy would be closed / cancelled automatically. She told me to give a cheque of Rs. 50, 000/- in favor of HDFC Life along with my PAN card Xerox to the HDFC executive/ agent . She told me not to discuss about the loan offer with the bank agent otherwise he would charge commission.

        I accepted the offer given by her and follow the process told by her.

        Ms. ANU([protected]) told me that after deduction of the amount of Rs. 50, 000 /-from your bank account, I would get policy paper(Policy No. 16753415, date of issue 27/03/2014) within 7 to 10 days at my registered Address, and then after some days I would get loan paper within 10 to15 days. I got the policy papers but I didn't get any loan paper .So I called up Ms. ANU ([protected]) and every time she told me that my loan application is in process and I would get the loan papers as soon as possible.

        Then after some time she started avoiding my calls. But I didn’t get any loan papers so I kept calling her to know the status of my loan application. After many calling attempts she received my call and told me that instead of loan paper I'll directly get loan amount in my bank account as loan paper would take time and then she again gave me many dates for loan amount.

        So again I called Ms. ANU([protected]) to get the updates but she didn’t receive my calls. Then on 27/4/14 I got call from HDFC bank loan department saying that my loan file has been rejected so I would not get loan .She didn't tell me the reason of file rejection and said she will reprocess my loan file but it would take another 90 days to process .told her that I can’t wait for so long .On that she replied that if I don’t want to reprocess the loan file, then I can cancel my loan file and after 45 days of cancellation, I would get my amount of Rs.50, 000/- along with an interest of 8.5 % which I deposited in HDFC life policy as loan security.

        Then on 10/5/14 I called Ms. ANU() and told her about the file rejection call but she told me that she would check my file status and
        call me later because she also didn’t know the reason of file rejection. On 21/5/14 Ms. Anu ([protected]) gave me a call and said that she
        could not get the reason of rejection. She also told me to cancel the loan file so I could get my money back with 8.5% rate of interest. So I cancelled my loan file.

        It’s been more than two & three months but I didn’t get my neither anyrefund nor response from HDFC bank or HDFC Life Insurance. Ms.Anu ([protected]) also not responding my call.

          This is with regard to my HDFC Salary account
          at Vijaya Bank Layout

          A depository charges JUN15 – 39633046 charge of 570 has been levied on my account
          First of all, I have not requested for Demat account and I do not use this account
          I believe this was created by default as part of Salary account claiming that this will be a free account and now HDFC has applied charges on this account.
          I request you to help immediately withdraw these charges and remove my demat account and stop this fraudulent activity of lying to customer about free services and then loot money from their account

              1-July-15: I made an excess(duplicate, first one looked like failed, so tried again, but both got processed) payment of INR 51645 to HDFC on 1-July over and above the full outstanding on the statement. 4-July-15: I call up HDFC callcenter and told what happened and the person said, she is not authorised to tell me anything so she referred the case to her manager. Then said manager was busy and call back within 24hrs. A day is past but no call. 6-July-15: I called again to check what happened and again i was told there will be call back from manager as she was busy then. I insisted, saying the last time I was told they would call back, they did not. Then after a wait, they put me thru. Finally got connected and I told the case. I told her repeatedly that it is priority.She, Sumera, said that she will get necessary approval and do the transfer. Whatever was approved, she would call me and tell me on the same day. I told her, the previous time they did not call back. She assured that she will call back. But as usual no call back. On 9-July-15, I called again to check if the transfer was processed, but to my surprise the call center manager Sumera, told me that she was waiting for my acceptance to process the transfer and not all the amount will be transferred but only 27k will be sent as DD. I asked her what action was taken till now. NOTHING. Only after that the request was taken and a reference number [protected]. The message reads like this 'Dear Card member, with reference to your query, the ref no. is [protected] and the same will be processed in 4 days.' On 15-July, I get a call saying, as per company policy the amount will not be refunded. I asked them, why they create policy just not to refund the money if it is excess. I don't know what to do with these cheaters who try eat others money. Curse be on them, let their money will also get locked like this for them to understand.

              Following is the response after 27 days of struggle. They have decided not to give the money back. It is established that there is a balance which is confirmed in the email below. Not sure why they want to see my statement. I have requested for that balance amount to be refunded, which is not going to happen as I see in below email. I have requested for the formalities to take this forward. My lawyer says, we can get the money back with interest. I have all the recordings of the interactions. I will also use this post as a proof for my complaint.

                Dear sir My credit card no.is [protected] I have received a call and they are told to me this call from credit card department and say your credit card should be blocked so that give your card details for prevent blockage so I give all details after few time amount is deducted from credit card on 18/01/15 amount is Rs. 6999 and second fake transaction on 22/04/15 and amount is Rs 8999. both conditions are same. Please check and revert me as soon as possible.

                  I gave the application for address change on 30th june 2015 in jajpur road branch, but it isn't resolved till now where as they told me that it will changed within 7 days. I am going to hdfc bank daily for this matter, but no one focous on this matter. Please do the needful action.

                    I have lost my ATM card on 5th of july 2015 .I have simultaneously called your customer care and blocked my running card . At the same time an executive who has blocked my card on that day told me that he has forwarded my request of New ATM CARD . Today I have checked my current status through NET BANKING and it was showing that my NEW CARD is Active . He also told me that new card will be dispatched on next working day and I will get on 10th of july . But still no courier from your side has been received yet . Do the needful and revert .                         I have been following up continuously with HDFC credit card division but still not getting any satisfactory answer from anyone. Following are few simple questions that I have been asking which HDFC credit card team has no answers: Why have I not received a fresh card after I blocked my old lost card? Why their sales executive asked me to apply for a new card and then denied me a new cards? If I am supposed apply for reissue of card then what is the process? What form am I need to fill up? What documents am I need to submit? Where should I submit the form? If my card is blocked even after paying the dues and I am supposed to call HDFC Pune division then why no one is answering those numbers? Most importantly without issiuing new card why am I getting montly statements and asked to pay montly charges?

                                    Hi I have applied for credit card online then agent came to me to receive my documents. I narrated him my requirements & based on that I will get Time Titanium credit card which has annual fees of Rs.500. I received Diners Club credit card which is not Master Card or Visa which I needed most of credit card to purchase online web services. I am Online marketing professional & this card does not satisfy my requirement at all. I was looking for Times titanium but received Diners Club. Please help HDFC bank.

                                      This is in reference to the transaction made into my account without intimating me by hdfc bank. An amount of 570 was deducted from my savings account on 13 July 2015 under the header of depository charges. I have never user Demat A/C. and I want my money back to my account..

                                        Hi, I am Arihant Bothra from Kolkata. I am using HDFC Diners Credit Card ending ****9014. One day I got a call from HDFC Bank sales executive whose Name is Ms. Tanisha Mukherjee and she called from HDFC Bank West Bengal. Initially she told me the following :1. Your Credit card has a lot of offers. 2. You can get discount on every purchase of online sites (e.g. Flipkart, Amazon etc.) and top stores (e.g. Reliance Super Mall, Shopper Stop etc.). 3. The above is always with your card that means you will get discount life Time on your credit card. 4. The Credit card will be life time free. There is no, one time Charge will be taken from you per year. 5. To avail this you need to take a Health Insurance and a Life Insurance from HDFC ERGO. 6. The Premium (i.e. around Rs.527.00) will be deducted per month from your credit card for two years. After hearing the above, I told her, I don’t need any Insurance as I have everything. She told me, Sir don’t worry about the above premium, it just a security deposit kind of thing. the policy will be cancelled after payment of premium of 3 months and the whole premium will be returned to your credit Card again. After much dilemma I finally agreed to take the above Insurance by thinking such discount offers etc. I also asked her please send me a written document which states that the above offer will be valid for my credit card life time. She ignore the above statement. After that I have paid premium for 5 months from my credit card. Now I am giving premium of Rs.527.33 per month. The sales executive also provide me his office Number[protected] and told me that I can reach her any time in office hour whenever I face any issues regarding any discount on my credit card. Now the Real Fact of the above things: Currently I am not getting any discount from my credit card on purchase from online sites or Big stores. And that person has given me false promises and now she is not picking the above phone number also. HDFC Bank and HDFC ERGO are cheating their customer and sale their product by giving false promises. In Short they are Fraud Company. Now I want my money back in my credit card and I don’t want any insurance from HDFC ERGO General Insurance Company Limited. Complaint Status [Apr 19, 2015] HDFC ERGO General Insurance customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
