Hello Experts,
I had some issue with HDFC Credit Card and finally we had a settlement, upon settlement HDFC gave me a waiver amount of Rs. 29000/- in July 2009.
Now when I applied for Personal loan at Citi Bank, they rejected my application saying Bad CIBIL report.
so I applied for Cibil Report and found HDFC Credit Card Status reflecting SETTLED, so then I understood Settled means Bank was unable to recover full amount.
so I asked HDFC Debt Recovery team to let me know what is my total waiver amount that i received and the interest incured so that I can pay in Full and Final.
very Next Day I got a call from a person, he informed me he is from HDFC and informed I have to pay Rs. 23,800/- and he said, since my card is in Blocked state I cannot pay by cheque he said I need to pay cash. I got fooled here, i blindly agreed, very next day he sent a collection guy to my office address,
the guy gave me a forged HDFC settlement letter, and Cash Receipt for 23800/-
Now when I contacted HDFC, they say, they have NOT received the cash.
I went to police, police said, you expressed your desire to pay the due to HDFC Debt Recovery Represetative - and if someone comes with your Credit Card info, HDFC's Original Cash Receipt Copy and fools you.. why you have to take the pain of complaining... its HDFC's Duty to find who did this fraud.
HDFC didn't agree to help at first, then I lodged a complain at RBI's Banking Ombudsman against HDFC.
Now HDFC Risk Management had started Investigating, however I don't have faith in them.
is there anyway i can enforce HDFC to take immediate action so i can recover my money at the earliest.

Auto Loan — not received loan
Dear SirThis is regarding the attitude o[censored]r staff dealing the loan.I applied loan on 23rd May .
1- On Wednesday Bank staff told me there is some confusion on ur electricity bill it will be over be over till next day and we will inform u by 4.30evening but no one revert back we only follow up then they said mam till friday it will happen but nothing happen.
2- On saturday morning Ms Manju called me up and said that i[censored] want DO to be fax to the dealer we weill fax right now and i[censored] want ur cash to be transfer we will do it till 5.00 pm in the evening .but till 5.30 pm there is no feedback on this .i only called and ask what happen then she said mam we will revert back to u .
3 - At 5.45 pm i called her up then she said we will tranfer DO to the dealer and delaer is agree on that i said fine .then there is other executive Mr Gaurav([protected])said mam we will fax the DO to the dealer .Till 7.00 pm nothing happened when i called him he said there is lots of work and the person has to see500 files so it will take time i told himm that u should know this before .he said we have lots of customer and we will see ur matter .after faxing the DO to the dealer he didn,t informed i only called him then he said he already fax .When i asked the dealer he didn,t recibve any DO .When i try to call him he is not picking the cell.This type of of customer service is disgusting you are inprivate firm and this type of client service is not expected from ur bank.If this is agiverment bank still i undersatand .I am also working in hospitality area but we never treat our client in this manner .my important thing is there is no one for proper feedback every one says abhi batate hai but no one revert back ,we are only asking about our loan .It seems that bank people are very busy anfd if we are calling them we are disturbing them.Gaurav No-[protected].
