Since 1 yr, I've been trying to resolve this issue with HDFC. I had requested HDFC for my CC cancellation. However, they still renewed my CC & wrongfully charged me renewal fee. Here are details
-15 Mar 2020-Last usage of my CC; I never used the CC again
-18 Mar 2020-Contacted Customer Care via phone asking to “CANCEL” my CC. The rep informed that PhoneDesk is short-staffed due to covid & can't take my cancellation request
-Between 18 & 19 Mar 2020, I spoke with 3 different reps on phone. However, they kept convincing me to keep using the CC & NOT cancel it
-23 Mar 2020-I sent email to customerservices.[protected]@hdfcbank.com & [protected]@hdfcbank.net requesting to CANCEL my credit card. No response from HDFC
-1st April 2020- I sent another email to HDFC asking for status on my CC cancellation request; No response
-24 April 2020- I sent email asking for status; No response
-13 June 2020- I rec'd email HDFC. However, the email had no response to my CC cancellation request. Instead, this was a mass email sent to all HDFC customers saying “due to prescribed COVID-19 protocols, our offices are operating with limited staff. Please use our digital channels to address your needs”
-14 June 2020- I responded to above email & informed that neither HDFC's website, nor email & phone communication have been able to help me. Please look into my CC cancellation request. No response
-21 June 2020-I sent email to the bank asking Why no action has been taken on my CC cancellation + instead of cancelling, why HDFC renewed my membership & put charge of Rs 2500+GST+Finance charges. No response
-25 June 2020- I got email from HDFC. Again, it was a mass email sent to all HDFC customers & had no mention of my pending request for CC cancellation
-28 June 2020- I sent follow up email; No response
-2 July 2020-I sent follow up email; No response.
-After above email, there was no communication for the next 6 months until Dec 2020
-4 Dec 2020- I received email from HDFC's CC team. However, there was no mention of my CC issue. Instead, HDFC offered that they will roll back GST charges but I will have to pay the card renewal fee.
-10 Dec 2020, I replied asking HDFC to pull out all my previous emails. I had requested cancellation in March through email. Still, HDFC did not cancel & rather renewed the membership forcefully without my consent.
-15 Dec 2020- I sent email asking HDFC why they're not investigating & reversing membership renewal fee, which was wrongly put by them.
-16 Dec 2020, I sent another email asking if there's someone in the CC team that I can speak with or meet at HDFC branch to settle this matter. No response from HDFC.
-Between Jan 2021 & Feb 2021, I started receiving calls from HDFC’s Collection Department asking me to pay the renewal fee + the interest fee put by the bank. I tried explaining the reps that this was actually a mistake from the bank’s end, but there was zero level o[censored]nderstanding. Within a month and a half, I received more than 160 calls from HDFC’s collections department, sometimes at 6:30 am in the morning. The Collections Department harassed me by constantly calling and not listening to what I had to say about the wrong charges put by the bank.
-Till date, there's no response from HDFC reg:
1.Why my request for CC cancellation was not acted upon?
2.Why my CC was forcefully renewed even after requesting cancellation?
3.Wrong billing of CC renewal fee+Interest+Financial Charges+GST.
4.Mental agony & continuous harassment through Collection Agents & Wrongfully impacting my CIBIL Score.
5.Wrong reporting to Credit Information Bureau which lowered my CIBIL score.
6.If the bank was short staffed in March 2020 & could NOT work on my cancellation request, why should i pay the renewal fee for the card which has been wrongly put on my account by HDFC?
I have complete Documentary Evidences in this regards. Please help me in getting a logical response from the bank and get them to correct their mistake.

The link that you have shared is of no use to me. It does NOT accept my Complaint Number. I keep trying to enter the Complaint reference Number which was provided to me by HDFC Escalations Team but the link does not recognize it. This is the Complaint Number : <AUTO> 'HBL=[protected]'
and the text that i'm trying to enter is "[protected]" but it doesn't work. Please suggest.

    Hello HDFC Team,

    First of all i did not get any mail regarding this and since last 2 weeks it is showing -1768 by MiREVENUE HOLD THROUGH GEFU.
    As this is a salaried account and while opening the account itself it was earlier mentioned to me like we can make it to 0 as it is salaried account .
    Then why this things happening now.
    Remove this type of things or else i expect a call from HDFC team on this and try to fix it asap.
    What the heck is this as no one told and now showing this type of stuffs.
    Is this a way to handle salaried customer like that.
    Resolve this issue asap please.

        I am a hdfc bank credit card holder. The bank has auto Generated Rs 1899/- in my credit card number ending with 463917XXXXXX1372.

        I don't want to avail this type of membership, so cancel the membership and remove the auto generated amount i.e. Rs 1899/- Please take the necessary action as soon as possible. otherwise i will have to take action against this illegal fee charged without intimation.

            Hi Team,

            My Name is NagaRaju.

            I just received a message as ALERT:Rs.199.00 spent via Credit card xx3436 at AMAZON1258399 on[protected]:21:50:57 without PIN/OTP. Not you ? call [protected].

            I didn't make any transaction and without my consent I received a message.

            I was trying to reach HDFC helpdesk but no use, it looks like a scam, HDFC should look in to the issue very seriously and if you are not able to solve the i am ready to cancel the credit card.

              An amount of Rs 885 has been debited for the month of FEB 2021 and Rs 147.50 for the month of DEC 2020 from my salary account, mentioning about 'DEPOSITORY CHARGES FEB 2021' and 'DEPOSITORY CHARGES DEC 2020' - with regard to my demat account Which I have never used this account.

                      I HAVE SIGNED IN QUKER.COM, one of employee hdfc bank called an offered me for a back office work. They charged me 1500/- for registration and I PAID RS 5500/- FOR 2nd for documents verification for 5500/- to Mr. lOKENDRA ceLL NO [protected].

                      NOW I M VERY CONFUSED BECAUSE

                      one mr aman kumar verma has candidate already register complaint on 30/10/2019 for the same fraud, and when i get cross check to all with my contacts. i founded the SIGNATURE OF MR. B SAI KRISHANA IS SAME . DATE IS SAME AND THE LETTER WHICH I RECEIVED FROM THEM THIS WAS ALSO SAME.

                      It is genuine or its totally fraud on behalf of HDFC BANK

                      THEY PRESSURIZER'S ME AGAIN FOR THE NEXT PAYMET REGARDING TRAINING ON BELAF OF HDFC BANK

                          I have an HDFC Ergo Health Policy on my HDFC Bank credit card with policy number[protected], which is on auto renewal and another card protection policy that is on auto renewal and the premium amount is deducted from my HDFC bank credit card under the name Tapasi Pal.The premium amount is deducted from my credit card on a monthly basis on auto renewal.My problem is that I never opted to start the above mentioned health policy or the card protection policy and I have been paying the premium amounts annually.I have contacted HDFC customer care and requested them to close these two policies on my credit card and also a health policy (Policy No[protected])which is the only one I voluntarily opted for.However I am so displeased and harassed by the services of HDFC Bank that I wish to close the existing 3 policies on my card and apply for card closure.I do not wish to be associated with this bank.The customer care agent told me that they received my cancelation request and they are going to merge my existing 3 policies into one policy that will have a premium amount of 18, 966/-annually instead of 36, 760 total, that I am required to pay annually and once the new policy is created the previous 3 ones would automatically close and I would be refunded with Rs 13, 862, for the annual premium that I paid for my policy no[protected].However I got confirmation that the new policy with policy number ‪[protected]‬ with Maxbupa Health Insurance has started on my credit card however the previous three policies are still under operation.A premium amount of Rs 18, 966/- has been added to my credit card statement and after confirmation with HDFC Bank customer care I came to know that the previous three policies are still active on my credit cared.Hence the HDFC Bank customer care agent cheated me to start another policy on my card and made no effort to close the existing policies because of which I could not apply for card closure.My only request is to please ensure that all policies on my credit card are closed so that I can apply for card closure and successfully close my HDFC bank credit card.I do not wish to be associated with HDFC bank ever again.

                            I opened my salary account (In hdfc bank).but I am not using this account as salary account.After that i never logged in to my account through net banking and i do not use the debit card also. I logged into my account for some reason on 23rd march 2021 and i see that i have rs -861 in my account. I request you to please take action against this bank.. Thay have no right what so ever to do whatever they want without informing the customer.

                              Hey,

                              I m an existing customer of HDFC saving account & credit card. I was not able to make the payment of my HDFC credit card this month due to some financial crunch.3 days back I received a message from HDFC credit card department for my due payment stating that this is the last update for the payment. Then again today morning i received the message with same number stating " ki ghr bhej rha hu tamasha hoga jab paise dena hai"
                              I called on that number 5 times but no nobody picked.
                              Attaching the screenshot of the message herewith.

                              I want to ask from HDFC that is this the customer service which you are offering to your customer or you have hired some goons to collect the money from the customers.
                              I want a strict intervention against this guy or else this matter has to be escalated one step further.
                              This is not acceptable.
