This is with reference to Order No.[protected] whereby I placed an order to purchase of 2 sarees being Beautiful Designer Saree by Alveera Sea Green (Product code[protected]. I have placed the order based on the advertisement shown on Home shop 18 channel. The advertisement showed the saree as "Sea green" colour and the blouse brown colour. Accordingly, I liked the combination and place purchase to two sarees. One for myself and the other I wanted to gift to my friend on her wedding anniversary.
However, to my utter surprise and dismay, the saree that was delivered to me was a Yellow saree with yellow blouse. Surprisingly, both the sarees were yellow coloured sarees with yellow blouses.
I had called your customer care on July 30, 2016 and again my husband called your Senior Executive, Mr. Rajesh on July 31, 2016. However, your customer care is of the view that since the product was delivered on July 25, 2016, therefore, as per the terms and conditions of the company any return is to be intimated within 48 hours i.e. by July 27, 2016.
In my case, I had requested the sarees to be delivered to my aunt's home in Bangalore, which was delivered on July 25, 2016. However, I collected the saree from here on July 30, 2016 and the when I found the discrepancy, I immediately called your complaint services.
Please note the relevant clause in your FAQ for Return Policy reads as follows:
"There is a 48 hours return policy, which means that you can request a return of the product within 48 hours of receiving the product. Plus, the product to be returned must reach our Business Partner's / Sellers' address within a maximum of 10 working days from the date of delivery to you"
The terms and conditions of 48 hours, therefore, should not be made applicable to my case since:
a) the product was not delivered to me personally, your courier had delivered the product to my aunt who had received it.
b) I collected the product from my aunt on July 30 that was when I got the first opportunity to look at the product and immediately I called your customer service informing that wrong products have been delivered. As per your Return Policy the 48 hours start from the time the customer receives the product and in this case I received the product only on July 30, 2016. Thus, the 48 hours has not yet expired. On July 31, 2016, my husband called up your customer care number and spoke to Mr. Rajesh.
c) this is not a case of damaged saree, its a case of wrong product being sent, which was not ever ordered.
d) i had placed orders for two sea green sarees with brown blouse but Interestingly both the sarees are yellow with yellow blouse;
e) the invoice and product description on the packet is also misleading since the description reads as "sea green saree" whereas the inside the product was "yellow saree with yellow blouse".
In view of the above, I would request you to take the wrong product back i.e. yellow saree with yellow blouse and deliver me the product that I had ordered i.e. sea green saree with brown blouse
