My son NIVESH GUPTA bought a HP ENVY4 - 1023tu ultrabook from HP World dealer APEX COMPUTER & SOFTWARE,
Panipat under free gift Dewali offer vide Invoice No. 12-13PNP12815/007342 on 17-oct-2012.
The requisite photo ID (copy of passport) was supplied to the authorised dealer
via e-mail as well as physically hard copy was handed over on 18-oct-2012
for registration of free gift (NIKON camera) worth Rs. 6,950 and on 27-oct-2012,
the above authorized dealer gave me the redemption code No. 5341688 for onward submission
to HP Redemption Cell,24 &30, Ground Floor, Okhla Industrial Estate, Phase - III, New Delhi - 110020
110020 which was acknowledged by them on 29-oct-2012.
On 30-oct-2012,we were shocked to receive an e-mail reply from above redemption cell for rejection
of free diwali gift claim due to delayed registration by the authorised dealer and not due to my son (consumer). it seems that
the above rejection of claim is malafide, misleading,capricious,against business ethics, and not binding upon my son as this delay
was caused by the authorized dealer in collusion with the company.
Therefore, HP and its authorized should stand trial in the proper court of law under consumer forum and MRTP, Act,1969
I was allotted redemption no. J487AIXIXU.
The date of purchase of HP LAP TOP IS 6 FEB 2009, from M/s Gigahertz, Lokhandwala Complex, Andheri West, Mumbai 400053.
