i have brought a htc phone [desire 820] on 25th november, 2014.i met with an accident and the phone lcd screen was broken, i went to the htc service centre on 9th january, 2015.they checked the phone and given me the service report as only lcd is broken and it will take 25-30 days. so i took the phone back by paying rs 170 as service rentals to service centre.after one month on 11th Feb, 2015 i again deposited the phone in the service centre .they have given the service report that the expected date of delivery is on 13th march for sure. i tried to contact them on their service for several times but phone was not getting connected so, i went to service centre, they said it will take one more week so comeback after a week it will be completed. Again after one week i went they told comeback again after a week .So like this they have told me to collect the phone on the respective dates expecting the delivery i.e., on 13th, 20th, 27th. On 27th when i went to service centre, the worker their told me to contact HTC all India customer care no.I have been told by customer care that your problem i getting resolved by higher authorities, will give u status regarding delivery within 48 hours. After 3 days i contacted the customer care, they told me that on 4th april, 2015 your piece will be dispatched to Ameerpet authorised service centre and u can collect ur piece on 5th or 6th april, 2015. I went to the service centre as guided by HTC customer care, when i went the service centre said they have not received any part, you please contact customer care. I contacted customer care and they say it will take one more week. MY phone is in the service centre for the past 2 months and they have not given me any other phone to use, presently i am without phone. I got frustrated and could not handle this harassment and cheating by service centre so I went to the nearest police station, they guided me to go to consumer court. I am a student preparing for civil services exam this kind of behaviour by service centre, is not only wasting my valuable time but giving me mental torture.
HTC India customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
And also the service centre people talk mannerlessly.If the damaged part is not available I want my phone to be replaced and the compensation for waiting so long.
