Hi,

This is Suryakant Girhe. I am using Idea postpaid service for my mobile [protected]. I am using postpaid plans since last one year.
Today morning, I got messages about activation of some plans on my number. The packs worth Rs.180. These all get activated without my confirmation.
This is really frustrating. I am not going to pay this amount anyhow.
Customer care executives are not explaining properly about this.

    I have to idea connection no: [protected] which I am porting from Airtel prepaid to IDEA and using Idea from last one year. The problem started once from last 3 month in my own house. Initially the network signal problem (calls getting dropped) was faced in the evening & night time only but later it started even during morning & day time also. I didn’t mind it initially as I thought may be b’c of some other reasons. But once this started happening more frequently and also my relatives started complaining that my both the numbers are not reachable, I realized that it is b’c of poor network signal. Then I took it up with the IDEA customer care and they confirmed the same and promised for some action but nothing o[censored]se. Since then I have been continuously making my complaints for poor network signal and same was checked and acknowledged by IDEA Network Team for which the solution proposed was to install the network tower in my area. The beauty here is every time IDEA closes my complaint w’o my confirmation and during the deadline they don’t even entertain any call/query related to it and ask wait until the deadline. Once enquired after deadline, they (customer care) informed that the complaint is already closed and after further probing they registered a fresh complaint. It happened three times in the last 2 months. For last 1 years, innumerable calls (outgoing & incoming) have been dropped for which also, I have been charged. Even after follow ups for more than a year now, no action has been taken. Because of call dropping issue, even I had to struggle when some of my close were trying to contact me in emergency situations. Having been troubled for so long, the worst situation created by Idea has made me to file complaint with consumer forum. Although, the time and those situations cannot be credited back, I am expecting that this problem be resolved on priority basis or else, I should be compensated for additional charges which I have incurred because of this fault. Looking for support in resolving the issue promptly.

        I am Ratan Desurkar. My mob no-[protected]. I haven't subscribed for any LDR service. But today february 10, 2016. I got message that LDR service has been activated on my no and 35 rupees has been deducted from my balance showing that LDR service has been activated on my no. I haven't subscribed for any of these services. After that I sent a message to 155223 and deactivated it. So i request you sir/maam that please refund my balance as soon as possible

              I am an Idea corporate Post Paid customer with mobile number [protected]. I am really very disappointed because of the discrepancies in the postpaid bill received on 7th Feb 2016. There are unknown & unnecessary high SMS- MT charges with content like '55435iggame050' & '55435iggame099' amounting to Rs.199. I haven't subscribed/activated any VAS or sent any messages which would cost me Rs.50 or Rs.99 per sms. Also there is DND activated for my mobile numbers so there is no question of me opting for any services.
              Telecom companies should harassment of consumers through such fraudulent practices.

              I called up the Idea cellular customer care twice regarding the same but even their executives don't have any idea regarding those charges. One informed me that it is for internet facility used and other says for some activation. I already have 3G data pack in my monthly subscription as per bill plan & therefore there is no question of any internet charges.

              I requested them to waive off such unsolicited charges & send me the revised bill at the earliest. Already there is ticket raised for waive off of charges with their Customer care. But I still haven't got any reply from Idea cellular for it.

              Please look into this matter ASAP.

              I am available anytime from 8am to 10pm everyday. Please don't make fake excuses.
              If there are any network issues its your own network service to blame.

              I have even sent emails for same to '[protected]@idea.adityabirla.com' with Service Request numbers C1-[protected] & E1-[protected]. Its been 4 days now & you haven't even sent a reply to me.

              Can you do the needful & send me the revised bill at the earliest?
              Idea cellular has not provided me any details on the unknown SMS-MT charges & have not reverted them either.
              So I am paying the bill without considering those unknown SMS-MT charges of Rs.227 (199 + 28 service tax).

              After paying this bill I have decided to opt out of Idea cellular service & going for new telecom service provider.

              I request all readers to not bow down to such harassment by telecom companies & fall prey to their unfair & illegal ways of robbing our hard earned money.

                Dear Sir,
                I intend to file the complaint against the Idea Cellular for deficiency in services and sending inflated bills against the mobile number [protected]. I would like to draw your kind attention towards the following issues:-

                1. I have been availing gsm services of idea since a very long time. But for the last 2-3 months I have witnessed deficiency in the services provided by idea and also they have been sending inflated bills to me.
                2. Recently they have sent me an inflated bill amounting Rs. 4631/- for the month of January which I don’t think I am liable to pay. I called them to know the reason for the same but they told me that I have availed those services and after requesting them repeatedly, they took my request with communication id C1-[protected] on 29th January, but action has been taken in this regard.
                3. This is to bring to your notice that Idea has been raising my credit limits with my consent or duly informing me which is against the guidelines issued by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India. Actually they should have barred by outgoing calls and other services in order to convey me that I have crossed the credit limit and the services can be restarted only after raising the credit limit. I have given them no authority in writing or orally to increase my credit limit without knowing my economic capacity to pay any increased amount.
                4. Idea has also been charging me for changing my plan from one to another which is also against the guidelines of Telecom Regulatory Authority of India which says that service providers cannot change customer for changing my plan from one to another. They (idea) also never intimated about such charges to me in any possible manner.
                5. They have also charged me inappropriately for data usage for the month of January and they never intimated me about such charges at the time of request for the services and during the time o[censored]sage and only after the receipt of bill I came to know about such charges.
                6. I would also like to bring to your notice that after the expiry of data pack, the internet used to stop working and I was able to access the internet only after getting new data pack which is clearly a deficiency in services on the part of Idea.
                7. They are trying to establish their monopoly as service provider and sending the inflated bills without the consent of their customers. It amount to unfair trade practice which cannot be accepted in a free economy. If such practices are not stopped then they will continue to charge any sum from the customers which will ultimately put undue financial burden on the customers along with mental agony.
                8. I never expected this sort of services from Idea network and never thought that they will cheat with their customers by sending those inflated bills.
                9. I would like to tell you that this has come as a shock to me as I have never used services for which I have been charged so excessively. Had I been aware of this, I would have discontinued the services of Idea.
                10. This has also caused mental agony to me as I am not having the capacity to pay inflated bills for a single month. It has also caused financial hardship to me as well.
                11. Under the facts and circumstances as above mentioned they(Idea) are requested to waive the bill of January otherwise I will be forced to take appropriate legal action /proceedings against Idea and in that event Idea shall be liable to pay us compensation for the deficiency of services suffered by me apart from legal cost incurred and pay me all the expenses and costs incurred by me on account of inflated bills raised by you.

                  Since 2008, we are using three Idea postpaid connections.
                  Many times I have found the billed amount is accessed than our use which is due to extra addition of sms and std charges.
                  Four to five times, we went and told them to migrate to prepaid as we dont want postpaid service any more but, every time, they explained and convienced my father with their marketing skills.
                  Even I had to travelled all the way from Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad, Rajkot and Porbandar but, no use.
                  Our billing date is 8th of every month.
                  So yesterday we went there, paid the bill and requested to migrate to prepaid and they said internet is not working. Come tomorrow.
                  Today my father again went. They talked with him and again said please tell your son to come to the office and we will explain the plans.
                  (In past, I went their alone and they said, please bring your father we will explain the plans to him)

                      Yesterday on 8/2/2016, I went to idea office in bharuch (name :- F F Agency ) to issue my lost idea card. my mobile no - [protected], senior ABG employee.
                      They misbehaved in below mentioned matters
                      1) They did not attend timely, asked to wait for and were doing some clerk jobs and doing the people jobs of their contacts
                      2) The attendant operator Miss Krishna was very slow and not worry about people concern
                      3) in spite of having copying machine she told that we are not permitted to take photo copy of proof document even on chargeable basis and send the customer to the market to take the copy
                      4) after that I gave 100 Rs note and she replied give the change of 50 Rs, even though she was having change which was given after lots of argument
                      5) she told we don't have change take a recharge of 50 Rs
                      6) during discussion with her, the agency owner misbehaved and told me to complain at any where and told this is private firm we will do what we like, this is not idea office.

                        free data to my number. I activated that offer. After activating this offer my paid recharge Rs.248- unlimited data collapsed (07 Feb 16) . How a paid recharge collapsed. It is not fair.but in other networks there is a facility for working 2 offers at a time.

                          Hi Idea Team,

                          i have recharged for 1999 for 3g data pack on my prepaid number on 1-2-2016.

                          This recharge is for 16GB data for 3 months VALIDITY, but i received only 1 month validity. My sole purpose for this recharge was to get LONG 3 months validity which was not fullfilled.

                          ISSUE: I received 1 month VALIDITY instead of 3 months.

                          I have raised complaints for Haryana circle and called at customer care numbers in haryana : [protected].

                          Below are the complaint numbers:-
                          2/3/2016 - ST 1-[protected]
                          2/4/2016 - ST 1-[protected]
                          2/5/2016 - ST 1-[protected]

                          i did not get a proper response from the customer care and still issue is not resolved.

                          Customer care person kept me on hold for 48 minutes every time i called them and gave unsatisfactory answers each time.

                          As you know that these calls are paid calls, and even after that i didnt got a proper response from them.

                          i request you to please look into this issue.

                            There s no signal in idea.if I use 3g it's very very slow better to use 2g.so many months paid bill without using anything . When I asked to disconnect they said we have to reach there store.we have to search for store .don't ever buy idea

                              10-12yrs old user, using i-plan 199, activated 1GB booster pack on 4th feb when 20-25MB data remaining. No one told about the data allotment & usage.Also, nothing about the Prorata basis billing. Kept on using data but on 5th feb when dwnlding failed on contacting customer care I was told about prorata basis & speed. Again activated 1GB booster pack for work.                               Sir as I move to roaming area for office after 7.30am & return 7pm so due to barred no. u weren't able to contact me. Contact me on [protected] or [protected] after 9am. Idea no is available after 7pm. During discussion with one o[censored]r executive i suggested to tag my alternate no. to discuss the matter with billing section but i was told by Mr. Swapnil that its not possible. I haven't been informed about the prorata basis for i- plan which in itself is very disputed one. One can't afford to pay such a huge amt just for using internet(only 1.43 GB). It doesn't make sense. Delhi circle of Idea is using the method of RERATING in such cases where the bill is adjusted using the net packs. After all consumers should not feel cheated at the end of the day. Such cases shatters confidence of Old consumers like me on Idea .

                                Dear Sir/Madam,

                                My Issue is company offered 50MB free data to my number. I activated that offer. After activating this offer my paid recharge Rs.154 - 1GB data collapsed (04 Feb 16) . How a paid recharge collapsed if we activated that free service. I don't understand the logic even simple manner any person will do the recharge of Rs.154 for 50MB promotional balance.


                                Today 08 Feb 2016 I made call to the customer care executives said " I was activated that 50MB so my 1GB data collapsed". How is it possible? Its not fare and even not ethical. I called almost 4 to 5 times to the customer care and the executives given different explanations.

                                My questions are

                                1.If company providing any free offers to the customer they are not mentioning the existing offer will be collapsed if we chosen the offer.
                                They are just saying "to activate this free offer press 1 or any other number like that".

                                2.But I recharged to my friend he got his data recharge balance as well as free balance how is it possible?

                                3. After 4o'clock even I am not able to contact the customer care?
                                What i have to think about this?

                                What happened day by day?

                                04 Feb 2016 : I recharged my mobile with 1GB 3G data with Rs.154.
                                I used around 60MB on that day and the next day my data went from 1GB to

                                04 Feb 2016 : I recharged with Rs.10 for minimum balance.

                                05 Feb 2016 :Someone recharged with Rs.799 validity 28 days to my number and it was taken back by company without information and that is not problem.

                                  My name is Mohit Soni i have been contacted by idea post paid sales person named Mr. Anil Vaishnav contact no. [protected] on 5th Feb 2016 that there is good plan in post paid and insist me to convert my prepaid into post paid, i agreed and asked about documents he told me that they required photo id, add proof, passport size photo. They provide me a mail id [protected]@gmail.com for sending all the detail and i have sent all the required detail on 7th Feb 2016 but today i got a call from that person that they required a letter had of my current employer company and when i asked about it that on the time of deal they didn't discuss or required the said document but he refused and when i asked him about the commitment he given his phone to his senior and his senior talked very rudely with me which is not as the Idea standard. Now i am quite disappointed that i have submitted all the documents on mail and might possible that any body could misuse my documents.It is a breach of trust & commitment, Now i need a clarification from idea that such thing happen with me which i can not tolerate and what kind of action would take against the culprit employee of Idea company?

                                    The issue has not been resolved.
                                    1.) My sim card has not been inserted in any other phone other than my own LG handset, this was confirmed by your consumer care executive who contacted me. The internet usage was always from this particular handset.
                                    2.) My phone data usage meter shows a data usage of well under 1GB.
                                    3.) the costumer care executive kept on pressing on the fact that their system shows exceeded data usage, which I already know! But this does not prove it true due to the conflicting readings on my phone and your system. Also, the data readings on the phone cannot be tampered with (LG Nexus 5)
                                    4.) Further, this had never happened in all my life, there has always been a close agreement between the data readings on both ends.
                                    5.) Most importantly ! No message or notification of any kind was provided to me that I have exceeded my data limit. Even this was affirmed by your customer care executive. However, as per my knowledge, it is mandatory as per TRAI norms to provide 80%, 90% data warnings. The customer cannot opt out of this notification. The explanation given by the customer care executive for this was that the customer needs to activate these notifications. Which is false!! Even if it were true, how do you explain not informing me about this and the procedure for activation? Plus, a customer may need to activate the notifications but he does not need to activate warning SMS. this logic is technically flawed. This is not a value added service SMS I can choose to opt out from. Also I have done my research, a customer cannot even block this sms. There is no way on my part to intentionally not receive this message.

                                    At this point I would request you to properly understand all the above facts. Upon understanding these facts, the following is inferred:-
                                    1.) Both idea and me (the company and the customer) are equally likely to be right or wrong about the data volume consumed by me since both show conflicting readings. If you see my past history of bill payments, you'll see that I have paid all my bills promptly even when I had exceeded the data usage limits because in those times I knew that it was legitimate. I have never created a fuss about legitimate billings. Therefore, in this situation, the company (Idea cellular) is required to provide me with a Benefit of Doubt and compensate me for the extra bill amount collected by me by adjusting the differences in the subsequent billing cycles.
                                    2.) Referring to point no.5 above: this is a clear case of negligence or failure of the company's systems. The customer service executive affirmed this. And as per my knowledge, this is violation of TRAI norms.This is a very strong point in my favour which makes it legally obligatory for you to compensate for my losses. Failure to do so will be legally deciphered as ' UNLAWFULLY WITHHOLDING INFORMATION FROM A CUSTOMER IN ORDER TO MONETARILY EXPLOIT HIM'. The customer has the comfort to take it for guranteed that he will be duely notified when he is on the verge of exceeding data plan limit. I rightfully took this comfort and ended up being exploited.On your end it is to be assumed as a fact that the customer has no other means of monitoring his data volume.

                                    Given that I agreed earlier in this post that I do indeed have the means to track my data usage, but it has been established earlier in this post that there there is a conflicting data reading at both our ends. So to sum up we have :- failure to provide benefit of doubt, add to this withholding data usage information, your customer care executives testifing in support of this(mentioned above), failure of local idea office to understand the issue, harassment by barring my services for extended time, paid full bill for the month on which my services were mostly barred, causing a PHYSICALLY HANDICAPPED CUSTOMER to be made to approach the nodal office repeated number of times only to end in futility.Thus this is a case of multitudinous levels of harassment faced by a single customer simply due to the fact that my complaint, given its complex and unique nature, has not been thoroughly understood by idea cellular. Next time, I request you to only let someone educated enough to call me only if required. I however am hoping to receive a compensation mortification instead. Having to explain the whole scenario again to another new person will be considered the same as yet another episode of harassment.
                                    P.S: I am a differently abeled person, it is very difficult for me to run around to the company's regional offices or to the consumer court if need be. I would request idea to put an end to this and provide be with my rightful compensation.

                                      I have paid the my post paid connection[protected] bill vide Syndicate bank cheque No;400291 on 18.01.2016. Due date is 20.01.16. at the Office of the Dewas agent (MP) Shree Raj Hans telecom. The did not sent my cheque for collection and My telephone got barred for out going calls thrice. Further I complained to the customer care and the cheque was cashed on 06.02.16 and my phone was activated. Even after making the payment well in time I was mentally harassed and my peace of mind was spoiled so much by the Idea Indore authorities. Barring my phone and umpteen calls for making immediate payments. Where as the payment was done at the Dewas Office well in time.
                                      Please advice about the right forum to close my grievance.

                                        My name is nitish number is [protected] this was my airtel number which i turned in to idea because i heard the data services are good and in prepaid i have got good service and then i have lost my sim 3 months ago and i went to 4 idea show room none of them have even 1 single prepaid sim and i was forced to take post paid connection and here we go trouble begins after 10 days my number was activated and now i have tried to use data service it is pathetic their 3g is slower then 2g i am very much frustrated not able to convert in to prepaid even not able to switch this number if any body got this complaint please please i request you i beg please change my number in to prepaid
