To the concerned person,

I have purchased an IDEA AlcaTel Mobile set from bharat watch company indore on the date 12-04-13 and recently at around 15-03-13 the display of phone not working so I go to the service center of IDEA AlcaTel Mbile which is located at ;

The company returned the device at[protected] and the device was functioning with the display as well. But on the dated[protected] the display of device was again not working and similar problem raised again. I have contacted to the service center and they are now saying that the device is out of warranty now. But the fact is that they took almost a month to repair the device and was not repaired up to the quality as it got the same problem again within 4 days.

Please suggest me what legal action I can have against the Mobile company and against the Service center as well?

    i am raju, i had a idea postpaid connection for [protected].. and i hav activated callertune and paid Rs.199 for 1 year ad payig 15 Rs every month for selection... now my callertune is not working from the past 13days. since i hav a been a good customer to idea in paying bills at given time i requested the customer service to deduct the money from the bill for the callertune for 15 days i havnt use. they said that they wont refund the money.. which means i am paying the bill for which i havnt used.. is this the way to treat loyable customers???

      Hi, Recently I have changed my MNP Plan and got converted into Idea from Tata Docomo. I have taken an I-Plan of Rs. 299 with 8 pack plan. According to that 8 packs plan, i have choosen 3 packs for 3G. But today I received my first bill stating as GPRS(Volume) Usage : Rs. 313.200. I have not activated any GPRS service at my no., then how a bill of this amount can be generated for that? Also, my internet usage is not that much that it will consume my data plan.         My idea number (data card) is recycled [protected]. At the time of submitting the documents, I had given an alternate number and email address. At the time of recycling no one bothered to inform me as I was unaware of TRAI Recycling rule (as most of them are). I hope alternate numbers/emails are taken as a part of coordinating with customers and not for timepass. Company has to inform the customer at least 15 days (grace period) ahead of decactivation. According to TRAI rules shown here - rediff.com/money/report/tech-trai-guidelines-on-deactivating-unused-sims/2013011... I am totally shocked to see such behaviour. This is the first part of problem. The 2nd part is that recharged for Rs. 249 (3G internet) as I was unaware of deactivation policy. When I called the customer care, they are not able to solve my problem. I want to lodge a complaint against this company and at the same time I want my money back. Idea Cellular company is fraudster/cheater in India.

            Hi, I have been using data number form Idea in Delhi. Details for the same: Idea Connections account Number "[protected]" in Name of Pyush Khanna. As I have got Wi - Fi in my home, I got this number settled and closed and have a proper email for one of the representative (Sandeep Singh Nirwan email id: sandeep.[protected]@idea.adityabirla.com) stating the same, but still new bills are being generated and i have been getting calls to pay the same. I have informed all this people that the number was deactivated by there team months back but they don't listen. Kindly help me in getting this settled as i am not looking to pay any amount as i have already settled the outstanding against this number. If required I can forward the mails I have exchanged with them.

            Idea Cellular India — Data charges

            This letter is to give notification that I am completely disgusted with my Idea Cellular Service ... I see Idea advertisements everyday about 3G, and fast Internet access except the connectivity to my mobile phones. Currently using a Nokia C6-00 handset and my home screen content is on a offline mode. I have access to facebook which I only browse, I cant download or view any videos or get connected to any link shared by my friends.I did a recharge for Rs. 333 on 18th Nov 2011 and had recharged for Rs14/3day Internet access on 17th Nov 2011.
            On 19th morning I was out with my friend and at that time I have not used my phone nor access internet. However from Rs 289 my balance was reduced to Rs 0.06p.

            I would also like to share my experience with idea customer care, I spoke to Sandip at 8:52am to enquire about my deduction all he had to say is that you have downloaded a song or a content which was not true. maybe he was not listening to my complaint and was so eager to finish the call that he was repeating his word again and again. I did ask for a Manager after placing my call for hold for 2 mins comes back to me and says to call back in next 2 hours this was the last straw.

            I have been a long time loyal customer with Idea and monthly i do a recharge for more than Rs 600 every month. If the quality of service cannot be significantly improved in the immediate future, I would be moving to Aircel. If the quality of service cannot be significantly improved in the immediate future.

            Idea needs to work on their customer care officers as they are not efficient enough to help the customer. I was not looking for a credit or a compensation but looking for a help from Idea how i can advoid these charges in future.

            I am very unhappy with the slowness show by IDEA in resolving the matter, the guy I named earlier Sundeep got in touch with me and asked me sometime to resolve the issue, i allowed him the time and post that he share a NOC with me asking me to pay Rs. 2627, which i have already paid and since then i have been getting calls for the amount from various call center guys of IDEA.

            if this issue is not resolved in next 10 days i will be taking IDEA to court.

            i already requested to you guys to close all the services for [protected], but still i am receiving your Email to pay Due amount, please check the attached document and send me confirmation,
            and if Sandeep Nirwan is available please take action against him, this person told me that he will close my number once i will make all the due amount.
            If still it will continue i will take legal action against you guys.

              Hi, I am a regular Idea customer(Corporate plan TCS) from last 9 years(3 Years in Pune, 6 years in Gurgaon) and I am not happy to inform you that I am switching my both numbers from Idea to Airtel. After so many complaints raised and Show room visits, still my problem has not been resolved and i am getting this issue every month. My regular number is [protected] and i took another number [protected] for CUG calls and also with Roaming free pack of 75Rs and sent that number to be used in Roaming to one of my relative for long calls. But every month the unbilled amount exceeds the limit (750 Rs only) and the outgoing/Incoming facilities to that number ([protected]) are barred saying that unbilled amount usage exceeded. But in real the Roaming pack is applied at bill generation and all the unbilled amount is discounted in the end. i dont have any issues as it shows unbilled amount around 2000rs as i know it will be discounted at the end but why i am suffering the barring of the number and due to which i am not able to call that number unless i pay some amount. I did this in first month as i Pay 800 rs in advance extra that is still not utilized and i am still 523 rs in Plus ( i have paid extra) so why should i pay more this time in order to continue receiving the calls as this is not my fault that Idea has this incorrect system of adjusting the unbilled amount at the bill generation. Customer care people are saying that please go to idea show room and they can increase the limit from 750 rs to 2000 or 3000 rs and Idea show room people are saying that they cant increase the limit unless i pay that much amount bill. THis is totally disgusting as the purpose of taking the new number is failing and i am not able to talk to my other number. If Idea can increase the limit on my number right now so as i should be able to call the number then its fine. But i dont think it will be done so i have already request port request from my number [protected] and will also raise port request from my other number [protected] when it will be started again. Its really frustating using Idea account this time. I will not recommend to use Idea to anybody and also suggest my friend to use another service provider than idea. Really frustating.                   3G speed as like as 1G speed at evening.

                  I got response from Idea cellular regarding slow internate connection. As per his response am changed my setting to Network Mode WCDMA.
                  But still getting slow connection.

                  In mobile having full 3G tower in my area. please find attachment while test my connection speed in speedtest.net

                  Here download speed : 0.26 MBPS and Upload speed 0.02 MBPS. This is tested at 10PM. It is too too slow as per comparable to daytime.
                  I think it is not any problem with my device, it is only problem in Idea Cellular Network service. They need to improve the 3G capacity ...

                  By the way Idea customer care also very very bad service, not able to connect customer care executive.

                  So much advertise 121 dial number. very very very bad service. I am tried so much time but unable to conenct to any executive regarding my issue. but not able to connect.

                  Request to i[censored] make paid service to connect customer care, its ok .. am agree to paid... but still not able to conect ... how the customer feels ...

                    Dear Sir I write this to complain you about Idea Cellular, i am using this network for last 11 months, my personal contact number [protected] which i have took my connection from SunShine Communication of Hyderabad who is the dealer for Idea Cellular, while taking connection this people told me to pay the security deposit of 500 INR, which i have payed them, they told me from 6th month of your postpaid bill cycle this amount will be adjusted, till now nothing has been adjusted, i have asked them to do so, but they din`t and called them several times and conformed that the amount was not yet adjusted, they have conformed me orally, i wrote them a mail on this, they replied saying the entire amount was adjusted in November bill, my bill amount for November was 352 INR, but sir i have payed this amount, i am sure that nothing has been adjusted from them, they suddenly created a word that this is has been done and now they say that there is nothing to be adjusted, I here mention in my complaint that this people have cheated me with all this stuff, i would like to request you to take action on this and please do need full for me where i believe that this is the only place where i find justice, my point is if they have adjusted the amount is November then 500-352 is 148, at least they could have say this, but they say there is no more pending to be adjusted, they do this to may people, most of them leave it because they don't want to mess up i have spoke to Idea Cellular Customer support, they always say that there application is down, they talk sense less, I beg for your support on this. Hope you would do need full and take action on this. Thanks&Regards

                      Idea Cell number - +91 [protected] I have got this above mentioned number ported from airtel prepaid mobile service to idea postpaid mobile service on 28th Jan 2014, on a request dated 21st Jan 2014. After a week of regular service from Idea cellular Ltd.(i.e from[protected] to[protected], the number has been barred from all the services (incoming, outgoing & messaging services). When I called the idea cellular ltd. customer care to ask the reason, they said that my address has not been verified, hence barred from all services. Immediately when I checked my address with them, I found that my address has wrongly been entered by them in spite of submitted the Xerox copy of the address and Identity proofs at the time of port request. Further I requested them for correction of my address in their customer data, but they asked me again (second time) to submit the address and identity proofs to their customer support service centre near to me. When I went to submit the documents to ‘ESHWAR LINKS’ (where I requested for port and submitted the documents at first) a idea cellular ltd., customer support service agent located at muneshwara block main road, near PES College, Srinagar, Bangalore – 50, Karnataka. They have not accepted the documents (also didn’t respond) and again they directed me to submit the same to the head office located at Richmond road, bangalore. But due to my busy time schedule I could not able to submit the required documents to head office. Today I went to another customer support centre to submit the documents, where I found that my number has been permanently deactivated because of non usage for a period of 90 continuous days as per the telecom department rules. But from 5th February 2014 (the day the service has been barred) to 12th April 2014, it is only 65 days of continuous non usage period. Hence is request you to book a complaint against the idea cellular Limited ran by Aditya Birla Group for the following, and get me my phone number back. 1) For deactivating my number without any prior intimation to me and 2) For not providing the agreed services. And 3) For wasting my valuable time.

                        IDEA 3G net setter not working but Bill generated due to their system constrain We have taken a 3G net setter from idea with No [protected] for M/s NSPCL, Bhilai. Although it is 3G connectivity, services remain very poor so far as coverage and speed is concerned. We have not received any hard copy and soft copy of the bill so far. However, we were making payment after visiting the idea counter at Bhilai. In the month of October 2013 the net setter was taken outside Chhattisgarh and within 1 hour o[censored]se it got disconnected, since then it is not in use. Recently we are getting a call from idea office demanding us to make of payment of around Rs. 7800/- immediately to idea. On being explained they informed that reason for such astronomical bill is use it outside Chhattisgarh. But they could not explain even it is outside Chhattisgarh then how such bill can accumulate with such small use. They informed that once the bill has been made we have to pay it otherwise they will initiate action against us. We also asked them what the credit limit was. After lot of hesitation they informed it is Rs. 1200/-. Then how the bill amount can exceed that and also we informed that even though bill is wrong, we shall be paying Rs. 1200/- immediately on correction of bill. In turn they informed that bill can at best be reduced to Rs. 6200/-. They also explained that because of their system constrain, they are not able to restrict it to credit limit properly. On the one hand, they are not able to provide any service be it speed or billing with transparency, is concerned on the other hand they are harassing the customer by raising false bill without any cognizance to credit limit. Amount charged is Rs 15.0 /- for 15Days. Renewal charge is Rs [protected]@4Months as applicable. To deactivate sms STOP to 155223 it horrible that without any request u activate a vas deduct money. Stop looting and credit rs 15 Back to my balance.

                            I am using the sim in the same handset & the account balance shows 501 mb data, but i am unable to use it. everytime i browse net the balance is deducted, I would emphasise that i am using same handset.

                              ported in june 2013. After one month they blocked my out going call facility while i was on roaming without any intimation. after two months, on cosistent reguest made by idea personnel i paid my all dues on 9 nov.2013. But they didn't resume my service. When i asked them to end my service they send me a confirmation mail for certificate of waiver of my services on nov. 2013. But still they charged1210 rs. Without a single incoming n out going call facility. they filed a case aginst of me for not paying their due. I[censored] want to solve my problem my alternate no. Is [protected]

Still today 11 th April, 2014, I do not have receive any waiver amount and spite of that my number is in de active mode. Its my humble request to do a right step against this.                                 I received a mail from your side but here I mention that it is not about adjustment of security deposit amount in favour of my bill amount. It is an about a wavier amount such as Rs.300, which your agent promissing me. And let me remind you my number [[protected]] hs been totally suspended and not make call from this, which I get huge loss in my business's. Will Idea Cellular company will pay my compassion charge against this hurdle which I 'd been faced for last few weeks?

                                  I opted idea post paid connection having 399Rs plan which included 1GB 3G, 1500 local/national call and 50 sms at 15th March 2014, the connection got activated at 20 March 2014, at that time one of the representative at idea center told me that my 3g Internet usage will be on pro-data base usage. But on 21st march 2014 i received a message from company in which it was written that company is providing me 1GB 3G free data up to 07/04/2014. In that message it was nowhere mentioned that this pro-database or something else. I thought company had provided me full 1GB 3G data as i am new to the company for post paid connection. So i started using the 1gb 3g data and at 8th of April my first bill is generated costing me 1023Rs/-. I was shocked when i received the bill. I went to Idea Center and met one of the representatives, and she told me that the company will always send message of providing you full 1GB 3g data, and she also told me that we the customer's have to calculate the pro-database amount of data to be used by us. This was disaster and disgusting. I mean why should and how would i know the company parameters to calculate the pro-database amount of 3g data. Moreover at the time of taking connection the representative didn't told me that you will receive a message showing full 1gb free data usage but that will be not be the case in original and you have to calculate the pro-database 3g Internet data-amount. So my point is if the representatives will not provided the complete detail then how the customer's will come to know about all these bull things. I am very unhappy with the response of customer care, idea center representatives. I don't know what to do and how to deal with these guy's... Because of these stupid people's fault or due to the fault of there bloody damn system instead of 400-500Rs they are asking me to pay 1023Rs. So i decided not to pay the bill, until I get a solution for this.

                                  Idea is a very fraud company and they called us and start automatically the services...! Cheap company and very fraud ghatiya company.
                                  'Customer care' is just for name sake. They really don't support the customers and mean while they are present to inform nicely that you have to pay full amount and no more options and this answer will be given by the guy who followed us like a dog to take a post paid connection. It our bad time to get into the post paid connection.

                                    Sir, I am idea prepaid customer mobile no. [protected]. I bought a nokia asha 502 dual sim handset in march with IMEI no. [protected], [protected] ] There was bundled offer of 500 mb data free from idea, so I requested for it & same was activated within 78 hrs. But from last 4 days my balance is being deducted for net browsing although my idea account shows 501 mb data remaining. I am browsing from the same handset for which the promotional data was activated but I am not able to use that data. I contacted ur customer care twice but the matter remains remain unresolved, they just kept on transfering my call to senior executives . I also contacted idea patel nagar showroom, they confirmed that I have 501 mb in my account but at same time balance was deducted for browsing, but failed to resolve the issue. I had done a recharge of RV 58 on 08 apr 2014 on the basis on the information recd by dialing *121*6*2*4# from my idea prepaid no. According to the the msg which I recd after dialing the above code, i was supposed to get std calls @ 35 p/min for 75 days. 3. But instead I got std calls @ 40p/min for 56 days. when I called up the idea customer care and spoke to the supervisior there, he informed me nothing can be done now. When I told him that I am still getting the same scheme msg after dialing the above mentioned code, he said that in his system this scheme is no longer valid. 4. now i have a simple query. whats my fault in all this? i acted upon the information given by a msg service provided by idea cellular for a plan.and I would like to inform you that i am still getting the same scheme by dialing *121*6*2*4# ( std calls @ 35 p/min for 75 days.) 5. You are requested to kindly look into the matter and suggest a viable solution for it.

                                        I received my Feb '14 months bill of 665/-(Mobile -[protected]), which was way above my usual monthly bill. my plan was of 99/-monthly post-paid. when i inquired about the huge bill amount to the customer care, i was surprised to hear that my billing plan was changed in February and they were arguing that i had requested to change the plan to 999/- monthly.then i sent an email at care.[protected]@idea.adityabirla.com and after that i received a call on 14th from [protected] - Prashant, he directly said that as i told to change the plan nothing can be done about the situation no refund or adjustment can be made to my bill. he was not even ready to listen that i haven't requested any change in plan. he said that i got a call from outbound guys and i authorized the change of plan. i said then please provide some proof, he didn't had any answer as expected. I also told that this is a usual trick used by the Outbound sales guys to meet their sales numbers, but no one was ready to listen. on 15th i got a mail stating that my complaint has been resolved and closed to my surprise. I again reverted on the mail, and then i got this reply on30th March mentioned below... “We deeply regret the inconvenience caused to you. This is in continuation to your e-mail regarding bill plan clarification. We wish to inform you that the services of your number have been restricted with effect from 29th March 2014 due to non-payment. The MUM_Idea Unlimited 999 bill plan is active for your number with effect from 12th February 2014 as per your request. Moreover, if you want to deactivate the same kindly send us with the line of confirmation along with the bill plan which you want to activate. We request you to furnish the outstanding amount due for your number as on date to restore your services. Should you need any further assistance, please call our Customer Service help line number [protected] or email us at care.[protected]@idea.adityabirla.com” I again reverted on this mail and then got a revert on 2ndApr “Dear Customer, Greetings for the day!We deeply regret the inconvenience caused to you. This is in continuation to your e-mail regarding bill plan clarification.We wish to inform you that the bill plan MUM_Idea Unlimited 999 plan is active for your number with effect from 12th February 2014.Please be informed that an amount of Rs.500/- can be waived off as a onetime goodwill gesture against youraccount.Further, we request you to reconsider your decision for disconnection and give us a chance to serve you better at all times.Moreover, if you want to deactivate the MUM_Idea Unlimited 999 plan kindly send us with the line of confirmation along with the bill plan which you want to activate..” And then i replied on 3rd with the payment receipt of the post waiver amount attached to the email, below was my last email for which i haven’t received any reply till date. “Hello, so the baseline is you guys won't accept your mistake because your statement "TheMUM_Idea Unlimited 999 bill plan is active for your number with effect from12th February 2014 as per your request." Clearly states that i requested the change of plan and you guys are doing a favour by waiving off part of my bill amount. In that case i have paid 166/- towards the bill amount, and have attached the copy for your confirmation. AND PLEASE DEACTIVATE MY CELL NUMBER[protected] IMMEDIATELY, I AM IN NO MOOD OF CONTINUING WITH YOUR SERVICE.” Requesting you to look into this matter, and this is not the first time i’ve had an issue with IDEA. I have already ported my other 2 numbers and deactivated 1number of Idea, i also tried to port my this idea number “[protected]” which is in dispute but they declined my request without any reason. Just because i rudely told the verification guy from IDEA, that i am totally pissed off the idea’s services and hence i want to port it.This did not go well with him it seems and my request was declined.
