I am currently using a prepaid connection. Idea then offered me a post-paid connection which I bought at 500 Rupees, and then they suspended my number. Apparently, they have to reverify the billing address thrice, but then I was not in Delhi during the third time, so couldn't get it verified. Now, I have been calling them for more than a week, and they have been telling me they'd send someone to verify my address. But no one has come till now. And today was supposed to be the last date, but again no one came.

So, they have suspended my number, and I lost 500 Rupees. When I called them twenty minutes back, they said they had extended the verification deadline to 19th, but I don;t trust them. I might even stop using my prepaid connection. It's sad that such a prominent company has to treat their subscribers in such a way, and even harass them

    Hi, some one has been calling my wife using mobile number [protected]. Earlier this person use to call using mobile number [protected]. I have lodged FIR against number [protected]m but the police told me that I need to get search warrant from court for them to find this person.

    Can you please guide on how do I get hold of this person? Do I need to get a search warrnat issued against him or is there any other way?

      Sir,

      Amount of Rs. 125/- (approx) has been deducted from my Idea prepaid connection (no. [protected]), as per the costumer care representative the money has been deducted from my account for the 95 local and National SMSs I have sent, since I didn’t get any prior information regarding the SMS topup will not be applicable on 14th February. The company is not willing to refund my money. therefore I need your help so get me the money refunded.

        i am usumg idea sim ([protected]).When i am calling back to a STD landline no.from which i got incomming call ,they were charging Rs6.40/m.MY std tarif is 50 p/m .For this compliant i called to customer care no 1234 and to 198 and gone to My idea shorum also.when i am going to 1234 they will direct me to call 198.If i call to 198 they tell me to call 1234.By doing this i got to complient no which is[protected] &[protected].they were tell inhg that " i am dialing 00 infront of std no",But i am not dialling 00 .i am just redialling the incomming no from my mobile which is staring from +91.

        I suspect this problem started from 20 th jan 2010.Uptill now more than 100 rs they diducted from me.I kindly request to investicate the matter.

          hi friends,
          Recently i bought a new idea prepaid connection, but when i tried to use that card, i found the card was deactivated.and whenever i tried to call any number, the call went to idea customer care, they told me due to pending verification the card has been deactivated, and upon telephonic verification further it will take 3-4 days to reactivate again. can anybody understand this.

          I wanted to know certain things :
          1. Can a mobile operator disconnect the number without informing you, a smiple sms can also be considered, and i have a balance of Rs. 44.00 on this card.

          2. When i tried to talk to their call center, i asked for a refund of my talktime , since i do not wish to continue with idea, they bluntly refused to refund any money.

          Do we have provisions in the indian law benefitting only the big fish
          This is a new way of earning money from the common man,

          BETTER STAY AWAY FROM IDEA

          Can i have some insight on this.

            i had got wap5 service activated on my idea mobile which did not work and the message "network busy" was shown when i tried to open the wap browser on my mobile for 2 consecutive days.i decided to deactivate it,but after calling the customer care 3 times and registering the deactivation request 3 times each time i got the message that my complaint has been registered and would be processed and also each time i got the message that my service has been deactivated but actually it was not deactivated.
            unnecessarily a balance of rs 30 got cut from my pre paid account and later on contacting the customer care i was told that i had downloaded a game which i never did.
            the customer service is not available all the time and a rude recorded message without any manners speaks that "all the customer service executives are busy at the moment taking other calls and call our self help channel for more details" as if my call is not important to them
            airtel on the other hand is better as it holds the line and the recorded message says that "your call is important to us and our customer service executive will assist you shortly"

              Dear Sir,

              It has been noticed by me, that my mobile no. which has been issued by Ideal Cellular ltd, whose services i had been using, had been disclosed, rather distributed to external agencies, other corporates by them at intervals. Not only the cell no. the residential address and all personal contact details have been regularly, SOLD OFF in the market.

              I had availed a mobile connection ONLY FOR PERSONAL USE. Only my wife had that no. And i started receiving sms's from citifinance and other similar corporates. HOW they got my no.

              I strictly oppose this and like to file a complaint against them for this ill practice.

                Idea Cellular — deactivation of service

                i somehow got the joke service activated, but i dont want the service, i have wrote to u several times but the service is still active, when i call the customer care it is always busy, so what is the use of customer care, my number is [protected], i asked to give me a nail on my id but there is no response.i want response and the service to be deactivated .

                We have 13 mobile nos. (CUG connections) from your Vrindavan office. We have to face some problems with your services and whenever we try to contact your local service provider, they don't pick our call. It’s really disgusting and very sad.

                  Please note that I am having a Idea mobile connection No. [protected]. The company has charged me for some unnecessary service like "I radio and MCIA" which are not activited by me. When I complaint them, they immediately deactivate the service but do not refund the charged amount for the same.

                  Please note that I never had request them for any such service.

                    Sequential events that happened to me:
                     Idea executive make call to me requesting new connection (December 2009), I took one new post paid connection [protected] (around first week of January 2010).
                     While taking connection I told executive please call me while visiting for address verification as my house will be locked during working hours and I would be in office. He said yes executives visit after calling only.
                     I was waiting for call and verification but never received any call. My number not activated because my address verification had negative findings.
                     I mailed to idea customer care and in reply I got call it will be done and executive will call me before visiting. I gave preference for timing between 1-2 as it is lunch hour in office.
                     No call received, no executive visited.
                     I got reply mail from Idea customer care, my matter is under consideration. What is matter till date not known to me and outcome of consideration not communicated till date.
                     I got again call from customer care that executive will visit me on January 30th (Sunday). I was waiting for executive no one neither called me nor visited. I mailed again but same reply matter is under consideration.
                     I got massage from idea ([protected]) for calling on the number [protected] or [protected]. I called on 10th Feb 2010 on both number around morning 9.30 AM. First number was ringing but no one pick up the call.
                     Second number I tried to convince the executive the sequence (as above) however he was of opinion that I should find and go to idea outlet. I was not satisfied and call was transferred to senior person.
                     I requested senior person to kindly activate the number or if he feels I do not deserve connection pleas refund the money. I was told out of 500 I paid 250 will be deduced for services (I do not know what services has been provided in this incidence). Remaining 250 I can claim after 24 month.
                     I asked is it idea policy to collect money and not refund he says yes (call record between 9.30 and 10 AM on 10th Feb 2010). WHAT AN IDEA SIRJI???
                     I do not know its idea policy to make customer suffer??(seems unlikely ) or it is executives implementing policy who makes customer suffer (seems likely).
                     IF SOME CONCERN PERSON SEES AND ADDRESSES THE ISSUE WILL BE HIGHLY APPRECIATED.

                    This all despite the fact that I am existing idea post paid connection user at Delhi for last one year. The new connection is in my name only. My credential could be established through my uses and past payment records (I do not receive hard copy of bill and receive it through mail only).
                    The complaint is not about 500 Rupees. I feel cheated by Idea cellular. I have mailed to following mail id but the complaint was not addressed.

                      my name is jossy thomas.Today on the 9-th of february 2010, i purchased an idea prepaid sim card for my urgent use.When i was purchasing, the shop-owner was busy and he wanted to close the shop immediately.As i was in an emergency too, i was unable to get the bill, and i didn't notice the date.When i reached home i noticed the date.it was like the simcard should have been activated on or before january 2010.thus i realized that i was cheated by your own dealer.i gave Rs.232 for the simcard and i also had told him that it was at the most urgent.the shop which i purchased is at kaloor, kochin-682017, chammany towers, first floor.please do the needful urgently and immediately.i hope you can understand my difficulty.Thankyou.

                      Hi I am idea postpaid subscriber, Idea cellular is cheating people on festival days like Diwali and Dassera.If send any sms on fest days, you will be charge with Rs. 1 for local and 1.5 Rs for National sms, even when you have 200 N/L sms free balance in your account.

                        Hi, am a idea customer for Goa for last 7 years, i have been paying mine bills thru net banking since last 4 years, for d last 3 billing periods although i pay mine bills on time much before the due dates , amount i pay never get credited to mine account and they block mine connection saying amount not paid, then again i have to mail the payment snapshot and then they credit the amount after long time, it has been happening for last 3 months and no body is bothered inspite of so many complaints to them to either rectify the problem. when i ask them specific, if there is any problem is net banking payments ? they say no. then why dont they credit your amount paid? whey they make us run ? this company doesnt give a better customer support and make us run for nothing...friends its no worth to take services from them any more.. i have just shifted to vodafone & bsnl. much cheaper and better... mine idea nos +[protected]

                          I(Amar Singh Chauhan, 262 B Barra World Bank Kanpur)receive a phone call from Idea to get a Post paid connection I said give me one no [protected].One person collect my formality of one required set of photocopy,but when F.I. has come in my home then that person told me there r two nos r issued in name o[censored].Immediately I deny it then he make a phone call to his office & he reply me don't worry ur second no is now cancelled.Then I signed for verification in only document of [protected].After passing of one month I got two Bill one for [protected] & one for [protected].I received only bill of [protected] & paid it.I inform this problem to Idea Outlet Govind nagar kanpur but problem remains unsolved.
                          After 15 days Mr GAVRAV (Who is corporate head)is met with me at office of VIDHYA GRAMOUDUG SANSTHAN 54/8 JUHI LAL COLONY KANPUR Then I discuss my problem with him He reply me I will Solve my problem On same time I have given a written copy to him about this problem about receiving of complain he reply me i Will send u later.
                          After one month I got second bill for that false no.Then My father Mr Hukum Singh Chauhan, me & My friend Mr Vinay Tiwari went to again Idea Outlet Govind Nagar Then Mr Sanjay is met with us.& He assured that in few days ur problem will resolve.
                          After one month one recovery person has come I told him all situation to him also He returned but on 16/01/10 I got my summon from Lok Adalat.Then Immediately I call to Mr Gaurav but he doesn't reply me,then I went to Idea office Govind Nagar then they reply me don't worry ur problem will resolve but till today my problem is not solved.
                          Pls solve my problem & clear my ac from ur record.

                            I (Rajesh kumar tiwari,54/8 Juhi Lal colonyKanpur u.p.) am a custmer of Idea celluler ltd.,having corporate no.[protected],[protected].Along with these no.I was having [protected],[protected],[protected],[protected] to [protected].Due to some un avoidable problem I suspend all these no.out of these nos. I want to convert [protected] from postpaid to prepaid My friend Mr Amar singh chauhan went to Chabra tetlecom Chawla market Govind Nagar Kanpur on 06/12/09 given awritten application to Mr Ikram but he deny to take the application.He replied him don't worry after depositing dues I will convert it,come after 10/12/09.I depositted all bal amt from Amar Singh.
                            On asking about conversion He replied that right now we not have SIM pls wait come after 3 or 4 days.Amar Singh went again then same answer came out.This procedure is repeated 05/01/10.By which again bill is due for the month of Dec.09.Again he paid 250/ against bill 231.75 & on 06/01/10 He again repied that He has not SIM.Then I Suspend my no.[protected] and make again request to him but he again said don't worry ur problem will resolve max up to 15/01/10. On 16/01/10 Owner of CHHABRA TELE COM GOVIND NAGAR said to Mr Amar Singh don't worry come with ur formality after4 or 5 days, I will convert it.On 21/01 Amar Singh deposit formality then he got ans.come after 2or 3 days On25/01 before 31/01it is not possible because we r busy in closing so come after 01/02/10.on 03/02 he replied my DD is now despatch on05/02 ur problem will resolve 100%.On06/02/10 Owner that franchisee replied I will not give SIM go to Fazalganz branch Then Amar Singh replied that this is unproffessional ans. & behaviour give me in written that u r unable to provide the SIM.Then Owner denied to give in writting & make a missbvehaviour with him.
                            So I am requesting to u pls kindly take proper action against him & resolve my problem.

                              EVERY TIME IAM MAKING OR RECEIVING A CALL, IAM GETTING 1 TO 2 MESSAGES REGARDING CERTAIN SCHEMES FOR TARRIF BY THE SERVICE PROVIDER. I AM FED UP OF DELETING CLOSE TO 20 MESSAGES A DAY. THE MESSAGES COME EVEN AS I AM TAKING ON THE PHONE TO SOMEONE. I AM EXTREMELY STRESSED UP BECAUSE OF THIS AND HAD TO VISIT MY DOCTOR AT LEAST TWICE BECAUSE OF THE ADDED TENSION.

                              Dear Sir, 4-5 months back, i received a message from a no. in which it was stated that send this message to 10 people otherwise some bad thing will happen to u. i tried to call such no. but the voice came that such number does not exist. which shows that such number is of cellular company and such message is send from such cellular company so that we should send that message to 15 people and the company should earn money from such messages sent. at that time i was unaware of this site, so i deleted such message. so i have not such clue right now and i don't want any of the relief from such company but i want that such company should stop sending such messages to the other people. please take the initiative in helping the society

                              I get a lot of vulgar service messages which says - download pictures of notty girls, hot girls, midnite girls etc. at a given rate. I feel these should not be allowed, especially when such messages are sent on a mass scale to all types of audience

                                Hello, i bought idea net setter in Chennai,

                                i am staying in Ambattor O.T, near to 3 or 4 km from idea customer care ( present in Chennai city ) not outer area.

                                My Complaint number till not solved by them is : 871026
                                Recomplaint Number : 875202

                                Anybody want to verify, call idea customer care and asked this complaint details, it is till not get solved. so be aware..

                                It didn't work till the day of purchasing,
                                I called the showroom person and show him the problem and he assured me that a booster should be fix in my area to access the tower with in a week, until no need to pay the monthly rent.

                                The Net Setter not even opened Google page also..Total waste..

                                And also they placed the complaints to the customer care. They will not care about their complaints.

                                But after that i made a call to costumer care and told about all the problems, they asked a day time to solve the problem, Then it was not solved on that particular day, i called after so many times but till now for past 2 months there is no response from them.

                                I told them, that i am going to take a action, but they will not make a single call about the clarification till now,

                                Finally, they are not provide a suitable services for the customer. And they are not respond to the customers requirement.

                                I used it in Arumbakkam, it got full tower but speed is only 90 kbps, but they provide 256 kbps, so the speed also very low.

                                No use of purchasing..
                                No service providing..
                                No fast...
                                No reliable...
                                Don't buy this and get annoyed..

                                I USE NETSETTER OF IDEA.AT MY RESIDANCE GSECL COLONY GANDHINAGAR YOUR COVEREGE IS POWERFUL, BUT IN THE MY OFFICE AT FRIST FLOOR ALDC BUILDING.YOUR COVEREGE IS VERY POOR AND I CAN NOT USE IN MY OFFICE. SO MY PUPOSE OF MULTIPUPOSE USE IS NOT SOLVED BY YOUR COMPANY SO.SOLVED THE SAME.

                                  Respected Sir/Madam, I tried to online recharge of Idea cell phone [protected] on 4th Feb 2009 around 7.30 p.m. Even after deducting 333 Rs from my bank account, Idea has not credited the talk time to the mobile .Please make sure that the amount is credited back to my account.

                                    Hello,
                                    I am customer of Idea cellular company since last 6 to 7 years. My prepaid cell number is [protected].
                                    On 4th Feb 2010 I call on one number [protected] at 7.46PM. The call duration is 2 Min 31 sec.
                                    For this call your company charged Rs.27. With this I am surprised so called customer care on same day but they are helpless to give me information. So again I called customer care on 5th Feb 2010 and I am shocked with information which is given by customer care. She is telling that your call was international call. How is it possible if I am dialing from my contact list?
                                    Is this a way that idea want to earn money from customers?
                                    Please suggest how handle this topic.

                                      Thanks for your initiative of taking consumer one step further.

                                      My name is Manjeet Singh Rana and I am using IDEAP-PREPAID number [protected] for the past 6 years. I am very unhappy with the inferior quality customer service provided. There are countless number of words & phrases worth to mention their useless credibility, useless liability and senseless customer centric approach. Even the MTNL provides much better service in comparison.

                                      I am fond of surfing internet and mobile is my best companion. I alternatively use IDEAP WAP-5 & WAP-89 as per my convenience. Hence, I am aware of the policies & terms+conditions. Currently, for the past 4 months I have WAP-89 plan activated. I am facing a lot of trouble because of IDEA poor service and fed up with their customer representatives.

                                      I have last renewed my WAP-89 on Friday, the 22-January-2010, expires on Sunday the 21st-February-2009. However, for the past 8 days, I am not able to browse because of their inefficiency and stupid reasons given by their customer agents. I rang them atleast 50 times since then. They promised and assured the timely resolution only on papers, without any physical action. On 6 occasions, when I humbly requested to let me speak to speak their supervision, I was put on hold for 15-45 minutes. I had to hang up the phone and make fresh call. None of their Customer Representative was ready to accept the mistake. In addition to this, the customer care put my number [protected] on IGNORE MODE (where IVR attended the call and kept on announcing that “EXECUTIVES ARE BUSY” and I should call after some time. Interestingly, when I tried from 6 different IDEA PREPAID (friends/colleague) numbers, it was working normally.
                                      Finally, I managed to get the NODAL OFFICER (MRS SAGAR) number [protected] from their customer care 12345. However, it didn’t worked; none of my 35-40 attempts any attention. This is what a LEADER doing, and then what else one could expect from others?
                                      I need a stern action against the defaulters in next 3 working days. Otherwise, I am not left with other alternative but to take a legal action against IDEA CELLULAR.

Few services are activated automatically on my mobile therefore balance is automatically deducting from my mobile a/c. I am calling at customer care since 5 day to stop all services but there is no response. Yesterday I had call to customer care on 198 ,12345 and sere my problem and told that stop all services and refund my money otherwise I will consume forum, but till now I am unsatisfied . Respected sir about 100 Rs. Deduced from my account so I request you take correct action and try to refund my all money.

                                      Idea Cellular — Irresponsible work and no proper action

                                      I am putting across this matter to you as i didnot received a proper response from the technical team and customer team of Idea . Since from 20th my balance is being deducted. I called upto customer care team they told please call after 24 hrs we don't have any information right now. So i have given a call the next day. They have replied saying that it has been activated radio pack of 20rs per day. I told i am an old guy of 62yrs and even i don't know how to operate the options and i never activated the radio pack. I bugged them and asked give me the exact date and time when i activated the pack. then the customer team put me on hold for ten min and told it has activated from them by mistake. How irresponsible to say that answer and even i told my balance is being deducting daily. So they have given a complaint your amount will be returned to you with in 23/03/2011 at 6:26:00pm (action would be taken). There is no action taken and again the same process amount got deducted next day.again complaint no.. In the first week of match i got a msg saying rechg with 55 get 55 full talk time.valid till march 31st 2011.So i recharged and i did not received full talk time . Again i have given a complaint saying i did not received the full talk time. The customer team replied it will credited to your account . Again the next day my balance got deducted from the recharge which i have done. So i recharged with 201 top up. Again i have given a complaint my amount got deducted. technical team guys did not responded till date. Are they making fun with the customer amount. They don't have any responsible in their work. I called yesterday evening on 26-mar 2011 fatima customer care spoken to me she told my team lead is busy he told he will call back later in 1hr. I waited 12 hours but no response.

                                      What is the use of working a team lead in the organization don't he feel responsible in attending the customer calls. He has to give a call back and should take the action. What work he done in that... and even my money got deducted today also on 27th march 2011. This is ridiculous service giving by the idea cellular.

                                      Hence i inform all the people better don't jump to any offers given by the idea and service is very bad. I am putting this mail after lot of patience taken from me from 5 days. I don't want to bare any more .

                                      This is a message to higher official idea team to managers , District heads and others. Please take the responsible team to work with us as the customer did not face this kind of problems in future .

                                      My conversations happen with customer team i am putting their names. Fatima , Sunny Joseph , Lingamurthy.

                                      My total amount till date got deducted almost 150Rs. I am going to change this blede network idea and i am very old customer since from 11yrs. Do what ever you want..

                                      whenever we call to CCS it charge and even after a long call don't pick up the call & disconnected after 3or 4 minutes. once my balance almost 34 rs. were deducted from the no [protected]

                                      Hi All,

                                      This complaint is regarding the Online recharge amount was not received by the Idea service provider. Yesterday i.e., (06/25/2012) i have received a message stating that full talktime for 75/-. Hence i have recharged by mobile immediately with 75/- through online bank service. but till date i have not received any balance for the same.

                                      I have called to the customer care executive on 06/25/2012 evening. One of the customer care executive said that balance will be credited to my account with in 6 hours because there is a server problem. But i have not received any balance of 75/- full talk time.

                                      I have called to the customer care today i.e., on 06/26/2012 afternoon, now this customer care executive saying that this offer is not there for my mobile. and he said that he can't help on this 75/- recharge, he directly said that you have to loose this 75/- amount.

                                      Why should i have to loose my money because of these guys irresponsibleness.?

                                      Question: If there is no offer for my mobile why did these guys sent me the message regarding the offer.?

                                      I kindly request you guys to take the serious action on this.
