Hello Sir,

Its my duty to draw your notice to the way your people are handling the Idea Cellular System, which is supposed to be the India's most user concerned system.

Myself Gagan Dhingra- working in Tech Mahindra. We provide support to Idea Cellular and also your guys come and sit inside our campus to get more corporate customers, BUT FAIL TO HOLD THE SATISFACTION OF EXISTING CUSTOMERS (CORPORATE CUSTOMERS).
I took a Corporate SIM from Chetan sitting in our campus in Pune- Sharda Campus
Cell# +[protected] on my name- Gagan Dhingra.

After 2 days, I got a call from Abhishek (3rd party verification person) for address verification, when I was in meeting and was not able to come out, and requested him to come after 1 hour OR the next day.

THEN WITHOUT ANY PRIOR NOTICE, MY SIM WAS MOVED TO DEACTIVATED STATE AND THERE IS NO-ONE TO SOLVE THIS QUERY !!!

There was no REPLY over than, even after writing 2 e-mail's to [protected]@idea.adityabirla.com expecting a resolution, wherein I provided 2 options: Either re-verify my address or de-activate my sim.
AFTER 7 DAYS AND a REMINDER, I GOT A REPLY THAT YOUR SIM IS BEING DE-ACTIVATED. (pls see chain mail below).

1. Do you believe in removing customers than sustaining them? If YES, how far will the business move ahead ??
2. What is customer support doing?
3. Whom should I voice-out ?
a. The guy who provided me sim ? He sounds help-less
b. Customer support ?? They are ready to close connection, than to re-verify it.
c. EXPECTING A PROMPT ACTION FROM YOUR END.

PS: Please find below chain mails providing more clarity on what exactly happened over the entire scenario.

I would like to introduce myself as a new user to IDEA cellular- a corporate SIM holder.

I took an IDEA postpaid SIM, cell#[protected] from my office out-let.

After 2 days o[censored]sage, I got a call regarding verification where-in Abhishek- verification guy, called me up for address verification, when I was in-mid of a meeting. I asked Abhishek to come after 1 hour, but there was no responce ahead.

Further, based on this 1 call my SIM WAS DE-ACTIVATED WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE.



Kindly:

1. Actiavte the SIM immediately and then you can parallely have a verification.

2. Kindly let me know how do I apply for SIM permanent dis-activation.

      MY NO. IS- [protected]
      I HAVE EXCHANGED MY SIM CARD ON FRIDAY AT YOUR LOCA IDEA OFFICE AT KATNI,
      I HAVE SUBMITTED ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS AND THEY SAID THAT THE SIM CARD WILL
      BE ACTIVATED WITHIN 2 HOURS, BUT STILL MY SIM IS NOT ACTIVATED.

      WHEN I CONTACTED THE OFFICE ABOUT MY PROBLEM, THEY SAID IT TAKE SOME MORE TIME OR THE SERVER IS DOWN, BUT IT NOW MORE THAN 2 DAYS, BUT MY SIM IS NOT ACTIVATED TILL NOW.

      MY NUMBER IS NOT USABLE TILL NOW, SO I AM FACING PROBLEMS DUE TO THIS,

      Idea Cellular Madhya Pradesh — stopping nos again and again

      Respected sir/

      Idea celluar madhya pradesh stopping my nos again and again while we submitting all the documents
      What is the problem with my nos i.e. [protected] and[protected], [protected].
      2-3 days ago you activate all nos but now all nos is on temporarily on hold.What is the checking system of office. Please do the needful at earliest as possible.Is any problems with documents please send your official representative to my addrerss to check the documents veritification.

        Hi,

        I am using Idea mobile connection No. [protected]. The company has charged me for unnecessary service "IMS Night Plan" which is not activited by me. When I complaint them, they deactivate the service but do not agree to refund the amount.

        Please note that I never request for any such service.

        Kindly look into the matter.

        Idea Cellular — unused charges

        I am using an idea mobile no. [protected] since last 7 years, alway thay are charging unused amount in my monthly bill & since last three months I am trying to change my billing address with ID & address proof i.e. Pan letter, rent agreement & gas bill etc. How ever thay are not responding me. Over all service of IDEA Cellular is very very poor , I will suggest not to take idea connection
        Idea's customer service and focus has deteriorated a lot.

          I had tried to recharge my mobile online using idea cellular website, the transaction has gone through however they said due to technical error they are not able to apply the amount to my prepaid connection, hence the amount will be
          diverted back to my credit card, the transaction was done on 13/2/2010
          Inspite of many follow ups and even sending them statement for my credit card and screenshot which i luckily stored, they are not ready to cooperate, there customer service number gives all invalid information and nobody is even ready to look at it , theey are just buying time asking me for proofs and when sent them the attachments they are asking for what is the concern for sending the mails

          Which forum i can lodge a complaint against such fraudulent people?

          Idea Cellular Prepaid — Recharge amount

          Hi,

          I have recenltly recharged my Idea prepaid number with Rs 350 via Citibank services. To my shock i got talk value of only 200. I called up the Customer care only to find out that there was no such recahrge value of 350, and they couldnt help. So, i lost 150 Rs not once but twice. I have two simple questions, a) If Idea has a tie up with citibank for recharge serices, then dosent it become duty of idea to inform what all recharges a customer can do? b) Idea website dosent even give an otion of Citibank in its banking domain options. I will not be surprised if they have cheated so many customers like myself, and until someone takes action they will just gobble up customers money without giveing any value to them, adding on to this there is no proper network coverage of idea as well.

          There is wrongly duduftion Rs. 90 from my Mob No.[protected] on 22nd March, I have made the complain to customer care. On 30th March I got the reply from your office on my cell that you send sms to 12345 stoping dialer tone.and the balance will be refunded to you. But still today we have not received my Balance back. I think 90 Rs. is not a big amount for Company like Idea. We hope that you have that sufficient balance in your account. Please do the needful at earliest.

            2006 onwards i am using idea post paid connection in my handset.At this time the provider giving many facilities with out my consent ,and they are charging a huge amount in the bill on every month.The details given below;

            Idea Cellular — Hidden chareges.

            I was told that i will get 200 free local and national sms if i recharege my account with 45 Rs.But I get only 150 national sms.I also called the customer help center but they didnt answer properly.They are not ready to give me the all the 200 sms.

              Idea Mobile Prepaid — Disconnection of prepaid mobile

              I purchased an Idea prepaid cell phone connection on 10 May 11 and I submitted the documents as per requirements told by the retailer, but on 14 May 11 my connection was disconnected with a reason that my documents submitted earlier were not as per DOT instructions. Where as I have submitted the fresh documents again on 25.05.2011, at Ali Communications at Air Force Station Chandinagar, Dikkoli, Dist-Baghpat o[censored]P. Still my connection is not activated as on today[protected]. This is causing very much inconvenience to your customers and they may leave your mobile services and more over I'm a combatant member of IAF and I hope that this should not be the respect and dealing towards a Armed Force Members those who are staying away from their near and dears.......

              Now a days people are getting fresh connections with in 5 minits, you are taking months together to activate your old customers, this is highly not execuasable.

                i would like to draw your attention towards my problem. i have recharged idea net setter. yet, till now the net connection is not provided. i have also talked for it on their customer care,but they themselves get confused over this issue. none have any knowledge on my matter.
                instead of listening to my grievances they start giving me their ideas about the problems. no one knows tries to understand the problem. i have also said to please transfer my call to their senior, but no result.
                in last they say that try such n such number that is for idea data card,"but sir the number does not exits".

                how to recharge netsetter?
                the guys from idea are incompetent and not very helpful, the prices are high and the quality low. the website is a joke, you never know when you have to recharge and you cannot recharge over internet!

                what about TATA?

FROM TWO MONTHS THEY HAVE BEEN PROMISING TO REVERSE MY CHARGES BUT YET SAME HAS NOT BEEN DONE.                   More importantly, I was curious to know if you published your cell number here. If yes kindly refrain from the doing the same in future. It may invite unnecessary troubles.                       what you do with the detail.what you did till date with any compain. however i am explain. without informing me survice provider cut my 67 rs balace however i have recharged for the gprs spacial offer. they told after against it that it would work after 4 hours. i complains but no resolution

                        I have been using idea service from past 3.5 years.(Before it was Spice Telecom)

                        I have converted my connection from post paid to prepaid long back in the month of Sep or Oct 2009.
                        It was like 5 months ago conversion was done I was using my number as usual for these months.
                        Suddenly one fine day in this month (March 2010) I get a message to submit the proof for my post paid to prepaid conversion.

                        After seeing to the message I had gone to your Idea outlet at Marathalli branch (Outer Ring Road --Bangalore) on 6th march 2010 and submitted the proof i.e my ration card with two photographs of mine.
                        Again I got a message on 9th March 2010 that we are not in receipt of any document please submit the documents, I called idea customer care for the same and placed a complete that I have
                        submitted the proof at your Marathalli branch could you please collect from Marathalli branch and asked her to write the same on the request message so that I have prrof that I have intimated them about my documnet submittion. (Request number[protected]. I too have acknowledgement of document submision.

                        I went to idea branch with the proof again on 12th march,2010. The branch lady told me that the document is been sent already and no need to submit the proof as she can see the correct address on the system mentioned.

                        On 15th March,2010 Idea cellur have barred my out going and incoming calls without even informing me.
                        My concern is why did you barred my number when I have given all my proof on time and informing to customercare about this.

                        One more question If they didn't find my document sufficient how can you let me use the number for 5 months without any correct document proof.
                        This was an serious security threat to the nation that you let the customer use the number without any valid documents.

                        I am suffering huge losses as this is my only number which is given to all my clients and I am suffering huge losses because of this.

                        Today i.e when i called customer care again they asked me submit the documents again.
                        Does this make sence to submit the same documnets again and again.
                        Do they don't check the documents before receiving.

                            I am using idea prepaid sim for last 3 years and get no major problem but just now they have deducted Rs 30 from my account without my consent for value added service on 11 march 2010 that was not activated by me. i got no call from them or made call to them to activate it. I contacted customer care and get reply that money cant be refunded. I just want my money back. Money deduction made me sleepless night when i checked my balance after one week later after activation.

                            Please stop this type of activities this only shows bad services from you. I will be very grateful to you if you could resolve my problem by refunding my money at your earliest.

                            This is sheer height o[censored]nprofessionalism and apathy that I am being unnecessary harassed and penalized for no reason. I have been a very old and loyal customer of Idea but this incident has come to me as a shock and it's very upsetting. I have been charged for GPRS usage which was never active on my cell nor I ever applied or requested for the same. I was never communicated about any such service and to be noted that my Bill never exceeded Rs 600-700/-. This time it is Rs 2142/- which is unbelievable. I know my usage and quite aware of the Tariff rates. This is simply intolerable. Even on explaining this to the Customer Reps nothing has happened so far. To aggravate problem my SIM has been deactivated which is causing huge problem in my work and not at all expected from a company like Birla which is highly reputed company known for trust.
                            My sincere request to all the top management of Idea to look into this matter and resolve it ASAP.

                              I had bought a new Idea post paid connection on a written agreement from Idea Delhi that the advance will be refunded in first 2 months billing. They agreed and mentioned and signed it on the receipt (That I still have with me). Now once I got the bill on March 13th, to my surprise, they had charged a telephony charge of Rs. 500 to my new account (WHICH WAS NEVER EVER DISCLOSED TO ME)

                              The amount is not refunded and instead of activating my sim on my requested date, they activated it 5 days before resulting me in paying extra on my this postpaid.

                              Earlier, the sales team of Idea was calling me day and night requesting me to buy Idea sim cos they hadn't sold even a single connection, but now the same people aren't picking up phone to sort my query.

                              Shame on Idea!!! Not recommending Idea to anyone!!!!

                              I, Sharda Narayan Pandey (Mo. [protected]), A/c 1.10516768 using Post paid No. last one year before one year i was using prepaid No. means i m ur two year customer. i have nokia 1110 and in this mo. no GPRS feature. actually i got a SMS ur side for GPRS service and by mistake it activate it was not my knowege and charges are added in my bill but never i use this fasility. i can not pay charges and i want to continue my mobile. Pls help sir.

                                Dear Sir,
                                My Idea no. is [protected] & its been registered in the name of Kinjal Furia.
                                Inspite of my DND service been activated from 4th June 2009, I received a call from Idea company on 18th February 2010 & they automatically activated Sms Masti Pack on my no. & a sum of Rs 10 has been deducted from my account balance for the same.
                                I even spoke to their senior manager & sent a mail to nodal officer but yet no resolution has been provided to me.
                                I request You to kindly look into the matter & solve this as soon as possible.

                                    i am using idea cellular service as my service provider . today on 16th march 2010 from morning about 9.45 am i am not able to send sms through my mumber i checked all from my side my sms center number in my mobile tried it by changing sim card in other cell but was not able to i had called customer care abt 4 times but all time i got reply that there is some techincal fault from their end and their techincans will solve it.but till night 12 am my problem is not been solved n right now also they are saying it ill be solved by 2 pm on 17th march. i would like to put a complain AGAINST THEM COZ MOBILE BEING NECESSITY in todays life how can a servic based company take so long to solve this problem. there are many things personal and business been going through n kept in touch by sms to one and other.what about the inconvience n problems caused to me due to this sms service failure.Kindly take a proper action and do as per your judgement.

                                        I am consumer of idea cellular punjab and i am user a cooperate group at name Venus Gas Agency Dhuri
                                        We asked our local dealer in dhuri for a new sim under the same group and was misguided that they cant issue a sim directly in our group. they asked us to buy a new connection which they later will transfer in the group. Later they refused to do so. Later on i came to know they just did this to sell a new sim whereas if they issued sim under group that was free of cost. Not only they charged for sim misguiding us also they have wasted our two months in the process. I am highly disaapointed as idea company is making such corrupt local dealers
