I booked a parcel (important & valuable wedding clothes) weighing 11 kg on 21 March 2016 through Registered Parcel from shamshabad, Hyderabad. It was supposed to be delivered after 4 working days, But you know what even after 1 month (37 days to be more precise) the item has not reached its destination. Its status was not even updated after 22 march... I raised the complaint after 1 week of booking the item but no one even bothers to reply the complaint..., this is our Indian postal service. I feel shame about our Indian postal services...how miserable & irresponsible they have become, how much ignorant & careless they are. Our tax money is simply getting spoiled by these careless govt officials who don't serve the nation properly.
My heartily request to our innocent Indian people ...please don't rely on Indian post services for sending documents or ur important items. They don't care about your items, they don't understand the time limit, they even don't care about your feeling. All they know is to take home salary every month for doing nothing.

Fraud complacency is the most common thing here! we hsve been availibg sebices of recurring deposit from indian postal services andntgeir representive use to come and collevt the money and deposit the same but in between the rs lapsed becaise of the persons negligebce as he had not depositird money on time! now he is doing zero efforts to get the mapsed money from the rd the person is running by the name of babita rani ss/mba/234 look into the matter and get it resolved!! make a name for yiireself for once

The delivery system of IPS are worst. They never try to deliver things in home & update the status as delivery attempted. Several times my ATM cards or bank documents got returned to the bank. This time they denied to deliver a parcel ordered by amazon. They called me and asked me to collect the parcel from their hub only. They gave several excuses like the address is not proper, whether there is a calling bell in the ground floor of my apartment, they are not going to call me after reaching my home. If they are so reluctant about their work why they are taking the orders for delivery.

Hi there,
This is regarding my express parcel via india post from kolkata, india to brampton, canada. The parcel (Which includes cricket kit only) was initiated at kolkata gpo on april 8th 2016 and my father was informed that it will be delivered in next 7-8 days. The last update made available online on april 12th states - "kolkata (Ex calcutta) exchange office (India)-- article bagged (This is the event)".

I tried to call india post but the given number seems to be incorrect - "for international mails related queries call our toll free number[protected]".

When tried to raise a complaint online, got the following response - "complainant is requested to re lodge the complaint according to report of kolkata foreign or contact with office of booking along with copy of postal receipt & necessary document".

Not sure what does "kolkata foreign" means in layman terms. I think india post should come up with a better response for its customers instead of providing vague ones.

Would appreciate if someone can let me know what does "article bagged" event stands for?
Also, whats the actual eta for the parcel delivery to happen from kolkata, india to brampton, canada.

A registered letter bearing consignment no.Rx[protected] was returned back by the ignou delhi 110068 post office without delivering it to consigneewhile tracking through the consignment number of the post on web siteit only reflects the place of return as moulana anu at hydarabad.
Accordingly it is being impossible to find out the name and address of the last destination of delivery of the post on 28th march 2016.

The complain system at the India post web site is not user friendly for registering complaints from consignee as the details required for the registration will be only available to the consignment booking personnel and not with consignee.Hence relief to a recipient is not available unless the booker is not providing all details.In case any institution is booker of a letter may be call letter for an interview/Admission or alike and it is returned back due to physical mistake of post office/postman it is impossible for consignee to lodge a complaint with postal department in India by the consignee unless the booker provides all the details of booking, as the information required at the their web site is so detail which maybe only available to booking person.Final destination of the letter is only the name of the area of that post office instead of the name address of the person/company/.office where the returned letter is handed down .

In awas vikas rajajipuram lucknow post office there is very slow work and employee are not cooperating to customers..For waiting there is not sufficient siting arrangement. So many sinor citizen visiting to this post office and suffers on daily basis..Some agents are always caputered chairs which available on post office...Please look all these issues to make easy transation in this post office..

Last updated my parcel 4/7/2016 4:47:03 pm at "http://www.indiapost.gov.In/" at international items tracking.
The status of parcel last:

Retention reason : awaiting presentation to customs commissioner.

I have not received the Item, Delivery was not attempted by india post, but tracking details says delivery attempted. I had received orders at that address like 100 times from many courier service providers(online shopping). But never had the problem. Only with India post I am having this problem. They don't call I suppose if they are not able to find address and moreover their post office is also not picking call. I had the same problem with my Passport delivery through India Post. Most Unprofessional and Pathetic courier service ever.

The article was posted from GPO for Kazakhstan on 26th March 2016 and was promised that the package will be delivered within 15 days and till date there is no update or proper response where the packet is. We have been trying to get the details from our end but no proper response received from the officials in GPO Kolkata. The AWB no. is CW[protected]IN and was on route to Almaty Kazakhstan. Now their verdict is if we are lucky enough then the package will reach Kazakhstan in one month, but during booking the package this was not told to us. We request you to kindly look into this matter on urgent basis.

I have posted the letter on 13 april to arvind kejriwal, kanhaiya kumar & manish sisodiya( tracking id- ej[protected]in & ej[protected]in & ej[protected]in) and its not been dispatched from ranchi, and on the same date i have posted from same post office to the west bengal cm mamta banerjee and yesterday on 15th april it was delivered to her.. Its seems totally wrong, its an important letter kindly help me out..Hope indian post office is not playing the political game

I Sent a parcel via India post with tracking number ES[protected]IN but it didn't reach the destination and it stated that it was due to insufficient address and was thus returned but when it came back to me the items which were in my parcel went missing .When i consulted the post officer there they suggested to mail and register a complaint but i when i registered the complain i didn't get any response from their side .It has been 7 days since the complaint .
The parcel was an urgent one and it is a big loss to me

I mailed my important document to Taiwan for Admission purpose. It is very urgent. The last date of submission is 15th April. Everybody told me that the service of speed post by Govt. of India is very good. It will take 3 to 4 days maximum. That's why I choose speed post service. But when I track the parcel it shows the same position since Monday night & still it shows the same. Now the question is, Is it the proper service of our country??? My document is bagged at the KOLKATA INDIA Office from 12th April. Tomorrow is the last date of submission and I am feeling helpless now. If I loose the chance to apply that university who will take the responsibility??? Post Office authority or Airport delivery staff, agent, union or system?? who?? Or myself? As I choose the National Courier Service. Is it my big fault to trust our Govt. service when I had the option of private service?
