ITBC — No Confirmation mail.

I received an email from ITBC saying to participate into the Book Club contest by purchasing the package.

Previously they called me saying i am selected and will receive the order to my place but even after 1 month it didn't came to me.

I did so but didn't receive any confirmation mail from them.

I made a payment through card.

This is ridiculous and a fake service.

I book my 3CD pack with the gifts Lunch Box Toppower & Holiday Gift Vaucher 18/06/08. But still I could not receive the gift.

This is for those who are unsure about the India Today Book club Offer. I too got the same SMS but no email. Don't wait for the mail, if you are really interested in availing that offer, go to the website mentioned in the SMS & Activate your Phone Voucher. You might also get A Benetton watch worth Rs. 2600 FREE on top of the current Rs. 3301 discount.

In the last three to four days, I have received three SMSs from bookstoday.in informing that I have been declared winner for free gift voucher (Nos. A79896, EE69996 and E69997) worth Rs 3301/- against each gift voucher. However, I have not been able to access the website www.bookstoday.in and when it doed, it says that "Sorry, the offer is over". hence, I strongly feel that someone is playing a mischief and trying to take many like us for a ride. Take all precautions against such messages.

I am facing the same problems as have been reflected above I want to know why such type of mistakes are being made I received the pack of 20 cd for 2599.00 but the unique code no was printed .After a 30 minute long discussion on the phone I was given another number which too did not work I contacted again and my call was forwarded to another unit who did not respond it all only held the phone for one to two minutes and disconnected the line .This is not fare, The cost of Std phones will get exceed than the free offer what is the fun .I think this is a deliberate attempt.E mails send in this behalf are also not replied .please reply to me through mail to my Email ID

I had ordered 4 books under scheme Rs.999/- alongwith a reebook wallet and key chain etc and had rmitted my amount through citi bank credit ard, and after 2 week I recieved oly the 4 books but

This company is offering fake gift offers to all its customers, by using sms method or calling from untraceable location or by mailing constantly.
I am filing a complaint as they have looted me for Rs 2598/- by offering me a gift package, which i havent recvd till date.
the website says the offer is over. i humbly urge to bring this issue in broad public light, and give us our hard earned money back.

As per telephonic order i received 7 cd pack alongwith reebok wallet + key chain for Rs. 999/- vide invoice no. ORA[protected] DATED 24-01-09 AGAINST ORDER NO. I have doubt whether any such site exits or not. I would like to concern authorities to immediately stop such mal practices and save other people from such kind of cheating and furgery.

Cheating by India Today Book Club-
I have a sense of cheating by the club as they despatched two consignment of same value, one which I had ordered and other I never ordered. The item which I never ordered reached me first. I paid the amount and was surprised to find musical CD against devotional CD pack. On complaint I got very cold response from helpline.

I have made several online complaints about this matter till now and am still awaiting redressal. I had taken the offer for a holiday package + CDs of encyclopedia in September. Till now I haven't received a comfirmation for my details I had submitted to The Hotelrview people ( one Ms Poonam) even afer repeated reminders. This is appalling for a company of such repute. Also, my refund of Rs.699 is still pending with ITBC which hasen't been sent even after assurance for the same from their end. I am very sure, after this harrowing experience of repeated complaining and no redressal, that even if I am interested in an offer I am not taking it up due to this apathy on part of the Company!!

Again on 04-Feb-2009, I had received an SMS stating " Claim your savings voucher of RS. 5197. Voucher No. N49543 and asked to check my mail. But no such mail found so far and the given url is still not working.

But to my dismay I am not quite satisfied with you.During September I have purchased a books buddy for which I am supposed to get a "Tupperware".In your earlier communication it has been mentioned as "you received the parcel within in 15 workings days". I finally received my order of 20 CDs Sacred Moments today after a long wait of more than 2 and a half months and this was despite the payment being made at the time of placing the order on 4/11/2008. I had to call up the India today helpline several times and finally I sent a nasty email following which I received the packet. I have not been successful in logging to the http://offers.indiatodaybookclub.com/gifts.htm and therefore I have no access to the 'free gifts' promised with the order. In any case Iam too tired to go through the same procedure of ringing up the helpline and sending reminders . Hence I may as well forget about the free gifts and thank my fortune that I have atleast received the delivery of the 20 CDs pack.

day to day. At Puri Taxi driver, Caretaker of Jagraganj Nibash, Owner of KAKATUA
LODGE, PANDAS are torchered me mentally all along. I came back to KOLKATA
by Nilachal Exp.where some business men, Pandas and Lodges nebeighoures of
Puri were attacking me mentally on the train so that I could not say anything to the
Police and they also threatened me. I was really afraid with my wife and children.
One person guided me and settled a hired taxi at Howrah station where somebody
kept some sensor and followed us all along.
After arriving of my elders sister!s residence at Raghunathpur, KOLKATA I desided
to inform all the above situation to Lalbazar Police, but they tapped the telephone
and threatned me, nothing to speak. At midnight they fixed a sensor on the roof
and feared me all along.
Nest morning I returned to Berhampore by a hired taxi spending eight hours with
previous problems. At Berhampore we went to Dr. K.S. Dutta!s chamber where three
persons like anti-social were sitting. I wished to speak everything to the Doctor
but nothing to say for their attitude and till now I was under his treatment.
I also went to KOLKATA severily for better treatment, but all the Doctors referred
me to BERHAMPORE again and again and turned me a mental patient day to day.
Now I have a question, Who are they? ANTISOCIAL, POLICE, CBI OR OHERS

I had booked 7 DVD of Agatha Christe and I was told I will be recieving a free Reebok shoes and a hoilday package. After many try I has still not recieved any. i got the ITBC sms this evening arround 4.58pm. I don't even know what is it. It say "Dear pradeep J, your order has been processed. Your order no. is 0GA[protected] with total order value of Rs. 574.
pls cancell this order...my phone no is [protected]

I got a SMS that "Dear Baradi, your order has been processed. Your order no .is 0GA[protected] with total order value of Rs.574. you can pay on deliveryindia Today Book.

I Haven't ordered any thing from the subscriber.

I don't need that book, please cancel the order as soon as possible.

SMS OF ORDER PROCESSED WHICH WAS NOT PLACED BY ME
I am having same problem that is

1) I got a sms on 30/11/2008 about a so-called Order no. 0GA[protected] with total order value of Rs 2599 to be paid in cash on delivery.
The order is fake. I did not order it. Since it has not reached me as yet, I want the order to be cancelled IMMEDIATELY. I shall not pay for it if it arrives ar all.
2) The sms does not mention the mobile no. of the sender, i.e. ITBC). So I had to go through Google search engine to come to this site to lodge this complaint. I want this company ITBC to take note of this complaint and take URGENT action to stop sending
