I ordered for 3 CD britannica pack + adidas bag + holiday voucher worth Rs. 500 (plus taxes) on Aug 29, 2008. Repeated complaints on [protected]@indiatodaybookclub.com were never answered. On phone, for last 2.5 months, I am getting a new delivery date (next 10-15 days). My order number is MITBC-WEB-0697909.

My set of questions...

1) Why do you take orders when you do not have stocks to deliver?
2) Why don't you change your e-mail address from [protected]@indiatodaybookclub.com to [protected]@indiatodaybookclub.com since you never respond on it?

Warning - Either deliver it within coming 15 days or refund my money...

    Sir,

    I purchased a India today Books Buddy Invoice Number ORA[protected].
    And I ordered for Reebok Shoes Size 8 thru online using IcIcI Master Debit Card. And My bank account was debited for rs. 748. But after the payment was made there was some server error, and I have not received any confirmation or any message.

    Kindly see thru this. The payment has been done. My bank account has been debited. But there is no confirmation.
    Kindly resolve this and send me the Reebok Shoes Size 8.

    I have paid by creidt card (ICICI) for 2 years subscription over 25 days or more and
    have yet to receive the coupons for the newspaper and the reebok shoes. In
    the meantime I am continuing to pay daily for the paper. Can something be done.

    I have ordered (Order # OGA[protected] for Reebok Fitness Kit with Shoe size 8. Good thing is that I received it in 1 week but the Bad thing is that shoe size was 6. When I called the Customer Care they asked me to return the wrong size shoe and they will replace the same with size 8 within 3 days. As requested I have sent my shoe through DTDC courier (Consignment# H[protected] on 14 - Feb - 2009 to Living Media address as mentioned by Customer Care which is written on the Purchase receipt.

    I request the authorities to kindly look into this and replace my shoe ASAP.

    Two weeks before I was confirmed by you that my order (0GA[protected]Reebok Fitness Kit ) has been fully processed and there are no other extra charges will be made from my end.And also I was informed that it will reach me by next 20 working days through BLUE DART Courier.I was eagerly waiting for the despatch details of my order.

    Instead of the despatch details, I received the following heart breaking SMS to my mobile number [protected].

    "Ur order with Bookclub for Reebok Fitness Kit for Rs3199 failed on Credit card.You can pay by Cash on Delivery.Send ITBC<space>FIT to 52424.T&C apply"

    I have already made my payment of Rs 3199/- through my Deutcshe Bank Debit Card and got confirmation also from your end in the month of Feb'09.But I am not sure why I am getting these many contradictary messages.Still how many mails I need to write to get my order?.Am I being valued in ITBC as a customer (ITBC[protected] ?

    Please do not send e-mail again stating that you will receive your order within next 20 working days, because I have already received the same replies for almost 3 times from your end whenever I report the same problem.

    Please try to understand my problem and do the needful.Still expecting Best service from your end.

      I got an offer in my e-mail address about an offer of Music CD's from LIVING MEDIA INDIA LTD., B-47, INDIRA ENCLAVE, NEB SARGI, NEW DELHI-110068, TEL NO[protected]
      FAX:[protected]. The music CD's offered were of Sitar Vol 1&2, Shenai Vol 1& 2, Flute Vol 1& 2 & Santoor Vol 1&2 of various famous artists . Total 8 CD's costing of Rs 2599/- which I paid through credit card against the order no. ORA[protected]. The payment details ref no. 137034 through BOB Card. The order was confirmed in my mobile by SMS message . After that they started sending various offers along with the CD's via SMS and also through letters. On last week of November a packet was send through VPP and I was asked to pay Rs734/- additional for accepting the other promotional offers. Since I could not get them in the tel no given I send e-mails that since I have paid the entire amount I must get only the CD's andn I am not interseted in other offers. After few days I got another letter where they have again added few more offers and I was shocked to get another VPP where I was asked to pay now Rs 2599/- + Rs 130 = Rs 2729/- of which I have already paid Rs 2599/- through credit card . I tried to contact them but so far could not even the several e-mails I have send even though read not replied. I send mail finally to cancel my order and pay the money back . So far no reply has come . Same offer came to one of my friend Mr BV Ramaprsad who luckily didnot pay through credit card and now he has not accepted the VPP after listening my experience.

      I have ordered for CDs from India Today Book Club for Rs.2599/ on 20.09.2007. As per terms and conditions, the CDs will be despatched within 7 to 15 days alongwith a pair of Reebok shoes. But till date I have received nothing.

      Living Media India LTD.(India Today Book Club) — misguded and cheated b India Today Club

      This is to inform you that I was misguided and cheated by Indiatoday book club staff.At the time of the booking they informed me that I will get the promo code with in seven days after paying the money.But I have got the response after 27 days and even after that as per their letter I have to apply again to big city promotions for the promo code and again they took minimum 10 days after receiving the papers.No one from Indiatoday club informed me the above mentioned details.
      They totally misguided me.Now I don't want to use their services .Kindly help me to get my refund and comensation for harresment.

        I was called up by the india today book club and taught me about an offer and they debited 1050 rupees in november month and 600 rupees this december. But still i didn't received any material from them. I cant even contact them. I tried to contact in the same number that i was called up by them. But it is not reachable always.

But I haven't seen the package till date.I have ordered for the Gift .While applying it has been mentioned that 15 days are required for processing.I feel it is almost 2 month since I ordered and wonder I have to wait for quite some more time to see the Gift .I can assure you that if the gift pack and the Adidas shoe doesn't reach by this week end or atleast by 10th I shall discontinue from ur other promotional events and never patronize your club offers and shall let my friends know about my decision so that they can take their st and.Also I preferred giving a 1 yr subscription package as gift to a good /acquainted

          i have purchased a Tupperware product from One of the Agent in mumbai but there is some sticking material stuck to the Tuffin and they are not replacing it as they Say that due to loading in oven it has caused
          i am regular user of Tupperware and which month i place the Order but due to such thing tupperware have got out of my mind
          Dear Sir,

          I prefer to have a good and cordial relation with your club provided the services are good. But to my dismay I am not quite satisfied with you. I purchased a holiday voucher for 3 days and two nights and encouraged my friend as well for the same.
          We paid Rs. 3198/- each for two offers. But in return only my friend got some books. The unique number given is not working. And to the biggest disappointment of mine I had even not received anything from ITBC for the same.

          Hope you will seriously look into the matter as being a trusted and responsible company.

              I finally received my order of 20 CDs Sacred Moments today after a long wait of more than 2 and a half months and this was despite the payment being made at the time of placing the order on 4/11/2008. I had to call up the India today helpline several times and finally I sent a nasty email following which I received the packet. I have not been successful in logging to the http://offers.indiatodaybookclub.com/gifts.htm and therefore I have no access to the 'free gifts' promised with the order. In any case Iam too tired to go through the same procedure of ringing up the helpline and sending reminders . Hence I may as well forget about the free gifts and thank my fortune that I have atleast received the delivery of the 20 CDs pack.
              Iam indeed disappointed with the India Today group and their 'professionalism'!

              As a patient of mental depression I beared more expensive then and they took the
              chance to turn me into a dishonest, but they faliured and turned me a mental patient
              day to day. At Puri Taxi driver, Caretaker of Jagraganj Nibash, Owner of KAKATUA
              LODGE, PANDAS are torchered me mentally all along. I came back to KOLKATA
              by Nilachal Exp.where some business men, Pandas and Lodges nebeighoures of
              Puri were attacking me mentally on the train so that I could not say anything to the
              Police and they also threatened me. I was really afraid with my wife and children.
              One person guided me and settled a hired taxi at Howrah station where somebody
              kept some sensor and followed us all along.
              After arriving of my elders sister!s residence at Raghunathpur, KOLKATA I desided
              to inform all the above situation to Lalbazar Police, but they tapped the telephone
              and threatned me, nothing to speak. At midnight they fixed a sensor on the roof
              and feared me all along.
              Nest morning I returned to Berhampore by a hired taxi spending eight hours with
              previous problems. At Berhampore we went to Dr. K.S. Dutta!s chamber where three
              persons like anti-social were sitting. I wished to speak everything to the Doctor
              but nothing to say for their attitude and till now I was under his treatment.
              I also went to KOLKATA severily for better treatment, but all the Doctors referred
              me to BERHAMPORE again and again and turned me a mental patient day to day.
              Now I have a question, Who are they? ANTISOCIAL, POLICE, CBI OR OHERS

They don't mention the way to get these promos. After giving a call on the Ph no provided, they put the blame on me. And they also say that the days are expired and I wont be getting any. First of all they should give clear instructions. The wed site promos does not exists. While promoting a product they talk very sweet and helpful.                 I am having same problem that is

                1) I got a sms on 19/11/2008 about a so-called Order no. OGA[protected] with total order value of Rs 2598 to be paid in cash on delivery.
                The order is fake. I did not order it. Since it has not reached me as yet, I want the order to be cancelled IMMEDIATELY. I shall not pay for it if it arrives ar all.
                2) The sms does not mention the mobile no. of the sender, i.e. ITBC). So I had to go through Google search engine to come to this site to lodge this complaint. I want this company ITBC to take note of this complaint and take URGENT action to stop sending the unknown book(s).

                Oops i got the same message from ITBC.Despite the fact i did not order anything, its says your order with order no.. blabla bla with a value of xxxx is in the offing.Where does that come from.
                Please suggest them a better advertising strategy than the present one.It's senseless, trash.

                I havn't ordered anything & I don't even know what ITBC is.
                I am having same problem that is

                1) I got a sms on 25/11/2008 about a so-called Order no. 0GA[protected] with total order value of Rs 2599 to be paid in cash on delivery.
                The order is fake. I did not order it. Since it has not reached me as yet, I want the order to be cancelled IMMEDIATELY. I shall not pay for it if it arrives ar all.
                2) The sms does not mention the mobile no. of the sender, i.e. ITBC). So I had to go through Google search engine to come to this site to lodge this complaint. I want this company ITBC to take note of this complaint and take URGENT action to stop sending the unknown book(s).

                shocked Since it has not reached me as yet, I want to know how much time it willtake to deliver the same
                ITBC08534978: ITBC had sent some parcel, unsolicited in Nov'08. As advised by ITBC, I returned the parcel, along with the courier receipt, since ITBC promised to refund the full amount of Rs. 735/=. ITBC laso covertly availed Rs. 1200/= from my credit card. When I questioned, they asked for the bank statt, when they know well the said bank gives online statt. The online statt was also sent. Till date, they have not responded, nor, returned the due amount, nor reversed the entries with the credit card bank, namely Citi. It looks that I have lost Rs. 1935/= to ITBC, as it is also India Today Cheating Club, as it takes customers for rides & earns. IT will be better if ITBC starts begging in the New Delhi streets, instead of cheating customers. May be it can be called India Terrorists Book Club also. As a Senior retired citizen, I am at a loss seeking my amounts. But, I have acoosted the media at Chennai & shall start providing the details, so that other gullible customers can be careful. For Heaven's sake, please avoid ITBC at any cost. I am fedup writing emails to them. I had called their numbers and those persons can not even talk properly, leave alone address issues. GOD save us Indians from ITBC.

                  I am also sailing in the same boat. I have purchased 20 CDs worth Rs.2000 & a books buddy pack worth Rs. 700 and odd. I received a Rs.5000 worth Surat Diamonds Jewellery voucher. I have sent a D.D. for the Diamond pendant I have chosen from their sent designs. Till now, I have not received the pendant. Then came the booksbuddy pack along with more offers, for which Invoice no. was to be quoted. But the pack did not contain any Invoice no.Now I cannot claim these offers for want of the invoice no.                   Against my order[protected], I had received a digital camera but the assured gifts are not obtainable. The suggested web site is not in operation and nobody replies on the phone. It is more than a month since I have paid for the Camera.                   18th Nov '09 is when i received my Kodak camera with the Unique # written on the Invoice. This # is suppose to help me get my free holiday package and free round trip air tickets. Some how the Unique # was not activated (Atleast this is what Mr. Singh wrote to me in reply of my email) He then got the Unique # activated after 48 hrs. by this time it was already 30th nov '09. After getting the Unique # activated I finally sat to claim my free gifts when lightning struck... Out of the 2 codes provided to me (1 for Free flight tickets and 1 for Holiday package) the holiday package code was WRONG. no body in Delhi customer sales office ever receives the phone. Rs.500/-) handling charges on dec., 2nd 2009. I have received the kodak camera only with out nairtrip not the holiday voucher as mentioned. Instead the Invoice mentions that to claim the free holiday voucher gift we have to log on to www.bookstoday.in/promos.htm within 60days of the invoice date but to my surprise the said site does not exist. When the remittance was already credited to India Today Book Club, why the airtrip&Holiday Voucher was not send alongwith the kodak camera. In this scenario, if you are not able to log on to the site, one is sure to loose the holiday voucher. This simply seems to be an eyewash. There are already thousands complaints against this company. Has the company ever thought how this in turn going to affect the reputation of the company? It's one kind of cheating.

                  I have received books accordingly i opened the site i.e.www.bookstoday.in/promos. Two days later i got site opened and by the time i wanted to give the details such as unique no, address etc. The site is not opening with a remark that "sorry, this offer is closed now". Still there are almost 50 days remaining from the date of receipt of books, invoice no, etc. Please see that this site gets opened so that i can claim my free gifts.

                  This reference to communication I had with your representative Mr Rohit on 12.12.09 regarding 60 lakhs sweep taker and was told that I am selected among the ten short listed candidate and to have this offer I have to take product offered from ITBC to proceed for next step to achieve golden booking id wherein 120% assured for gift of Rs 50, 000 TO 1 lakhs in which I selected multimedia home threatre for rupees 15, 196 and golden booking id #[protected] then after I was again offered one more product to take platinum golden booking as now 150% assured gift ranging between 1 lakhs to 5 lakhs is confirmed wherein again I have to take product offrered by ITBC to achieve that id and I selected Kodak camera worth Rs. 9498 and was given platinum golden booking id#[protected].



                  After this I was told that my file manager has reviewed my file and now it is closed and I will receive one call on 13.12.09 and will be asked for platinum booking id# as confirmation and will ask for the address and pan card# and that will be the last call. (This call was never made to me till date) and I will not receive any call from ITBC on any of the offer. A form will be dispatched to my residence which is to be filled in and sent to ITBC.



                  in first week of januray I will receive a final confirmation call on how much I have won.



                  After all this again I received a call from ITBC on 15th or 16th dec in which they again offered me a product saying that I am the only person in Gujarat selected for 60 lakhs sweep taker and if I do not take this offer I will not be participated in 60 lakhs sweep taker.



                  When I told them that I had already got the platinum golden booking id and when file is closed than why again this offer has been given to me for which I was told it was mistake of Mr Rohit and I have to take this offer to proceed further for which I refused in frustration even though I would have gone for that.



                  I am in dire straits on how such thing can happens with such a renowned group like this and this episode had disturbed me a lot.



                  It is not a question of purchasing a product from ITBC but an integrity issue wherein false information is shared.

                  Somewhere in the month of August 2009, I received a phone call from India Today Book Club regarding an offer that after buying a Kodak Camera worth Rs. 7000/- approximately, I would receive a free coupons for a holiday pack for two and and Air Ticket voucher worth Rs. 5000/- free. I purchased the camera immediately using credit card. I received the camera in next 20-25 days which is not working fine from the first day.

ITBC09115485 and guided me to download certain performas from some link and send it to Big City for the redeemption of the free vouchers which I sent in next 15-20 days (Somewhere in the first week of October 2009).                   In the first week of January 2010, once again I received a phone call from India Today Book Club for some another offer. I refused for the same and complained for the previous case. The executive told me there was some problem with Big City promotions so all of the our application forms have been rejected. He was also instisting me to buy the new products for new offer which I strongly refused.

                    I had booked by phone at[protected] to Pooja Order No. [protected] (One bag, T shirt & Shoes) worth Rs.3199 and paid through my ICICI credit card on 11/2/09 and Pooja confirmed the same would be delivered within 3 weeks. I tried 2 times last week to follow up at above no. but phone continuous 30 min. gave EPABX waiting music without any one responding.



                    Can you pl. fwd this mail to the concerned department of India Today please. IT IS STILL NOT DELIVERED

                      Dear Sir/Madam,

                      This is in reference to the order placed with India today, New Delhi for 20 CD Pack of Spiritual Music. The Order was taken on call from one of the executive of India Today Book club. The amount was debited on Oct 31, 2008 with trancestion reference number "[protected] 2970 700" from CITI Bank CREDIT CARD.

                      The executive had told me that the order will be delivered in 7 Working Days, however it failed. I called there customer care @[protected] and as per there advise send an email on '[protected]@indiatodaybookclub.com' however there was action executed.

                      I updated the same to the senior official of the company via email at the following email addresses:
                      '[protected]@intoday.com', '[protected]@intoday.com', 'sunil.[protected]@intoday.com', '[protected]@intoday.com', 'malcolm.[protected]@intoday.com' However no reply regarding the same was given.

                      I then again forwarded the information to [protected]@indiatodaybookclub.com and called customer care number of times, however no satisfectory answare was given.

                      I am now helpless as they are not ready to help me anymore.

                      I talked with my bank as well regarding the same reference and now they are also showing helplessness in this regard.

                      Could you please look into this matter as I have checked lot of blogs and there are number of other members as well how are the victims of India Today Book club.

                      I Have no complaint but a question is their i.e. Today one of my relatives came to me and asked that he read in Times of India regarding some scheme in purchasing of 16 CD pack ( 8 vocal + 8 inst.= 16 )
                      classical, he tried to contact but he could not as his phone line is disturbing. and the news paper given today is the last day till 9.pm. He wants to purchase the same cd's pack willhe get scheme flashed in Times of India or not.

                      If, YES, then how to pay If COD is available please .mail me.

                      I used to be a old subscriber of I T and now I am subscriber of R D .Still I am receiving mails with offers, but now in these days I am not ina posision to avail your offers.

                            I bought CDs from India Today Book Club and got a chance to claim free gift. When I logged on the site mentioned in the letter from the India Today Book Club, the system did not accept the details. So I called the customer care number, the representative told me that they will activate the unique code number within 48 hrs. It was not activated even after 2 days, so I called again, again got the reply - give us 48 hrs, we will activate it ! Not this time too... Called them third time, still they have not activated it !! The customer care representatives seem to pass the time, instead of doing real work. They did not give my call to their senior, they out me on hold for almost 6 minutes, were very casual in giving the replies. Their attitude was very arrogant knowing that I can not do much from a long distance.
                            I hope some responsible person from India Today takes notice of my complaint.

                                Sir, I had recieved a promotional offer dated[protected] vide Invoice No. ORA[protected] from india today book club in which they had promised that on accepting the offer and on paying Rs. 699/- you would get 4 music cds and freebies like free round trip air voucher, free adidas bag and free sipper. I had accepted the offer on paying the requisite price. But when i tried to redeem those freebies i was informed continously for 30 days that there is a techinal problem due to which you cannot redeem your gift bu the customer support staff located at New Delhi.

                                India Today Book Club — unable to redeem free gifts

                                sir.
                                this co is con king and cheating people out of there hard earned money. i recvd 3 c.d's vide order no 0GA[protected] placed on 25 june on 30 aug but till date i'm unable to redeem the free gift offer even after logging on the site as per instructions of the agents of the co. i think this co. does not want to give the free gift offer and defrauding people with false promises through this medium i wud request govt. of india to take initiative and ban this co. from conducting business in future.
                                This company is totally fraud. I bookd my order on May 22, 2008 and till date I was not able to see even a single protion of that total order. Neither the CDs nor the bag and the vacation voucher. I tried may be more than 20 times on the call centre number, everytime I have been told that you will get your order in next2-3 days, or in next week. Even sometimes I have told that your gifted has already dispatched.
                                One of the executive gave me the parcel number also, which actually wasn't a real parcel number.

                                I request the consumer court and the govt of India to take some serious action against this fraud.

                                I had taken delivery of 20 CD pack parcel on 29.12.2008. [My ITBC Membership No. is ITBC 08771535. The invoice No. is ORA[protected] dated 30-Nov-2008; order No. is OGA[protected]]. I received the delivery of 20CDs by making payment of Rs. 2599/- against VPP. It was promised by ITBC that against purchase of 20 CDs, I shall be entitled to the following FREE GIFTS (1) REEBOK Shoes (2) Diamond Jewellery and (3) Holiday Voucher. When i tried to lodge my claim for offered free gifts on their given web address http:// www.bookstoday.in/promos.htm, information was available only for Holiday Voucher. When I made telephone call on[protected] in the 2nd week of January, 2009, they assured that REEBOK Shoes will be delivered to me within 2 to 3 weeks and needful will be done to activate my web page so as to enable me to claim Diamond Jewellery. After this nothing happened as per assurance given. Since then I have made telephone calls 7 (seven) times but only assurances have been given without any result. The latest telephonic conversation was held with some Mr. POSH on 10.03.2009 - who again gave the same assurance i.e. "REEBOK Shoes will be delivered to me within this week and my web page will be activated so as to enable me to claim Diamond Jewellery". It is evident from the above facts that I am being harassed and feeling cheated. I request for help for redreesal of my grievance.

                                  last month i was received one mail from The India today booksclub take 60'000 sweeptakes offer just pay 599 and buy adidas bag worth Rs.499/- and 3 cd's for book seller book, holidy package worth Rs.5000/- next you will won 60 lakhs and one car but the result will be announced after march 09 it was mentioned. i was ordered few weeks after i have received parcel i ddn't purchased becoz., that is not included bag, only cd's is present, another important matter that pack is very poor condition mainly these reason i was escaped from this cheating group.
                                  currently i didn't order but they was sent some offers for me. these time also i was ordered, god grace i was looked these web page it helped me .

                                    I am an another such victim of India Today Book club which has send mails for sweeptings and with loads of promises of delivering merchandise with highly discounted Price.

                                    I have placed an order on 29th sep based on the Mail for Reebook Shoe + Holiday package for Rs 2599/ . Deducted the money on 29th sep and promised to delivr in 2-3 weeks in writing. But after 5 weeks send a CD package for Rs 2599/. After my repeated mails/ phones, got the reebook shoe after 9 weeks with out holiday package .
                                    It looks like absolutely a cheating club. we warn the customers beware of such mails from the india Today book club.
                                    I am also another victim of the India Today Book Club. I also got the free offer of Return Air Ticket and Adidas Bag. I have called three times and Today I managed to obtain a complaint number from them. I also have taken the Customer Representative's name. Unfortunately he keeps crowing the line "Please wait for 48 hours before you claim your gifts" and says he can't transfer the call to any superior nor to any other complaints department etc. I am thinking that this should be highlighted in all the newspapers and if possible we all should form a group to fight indiatodaybookclub's unfair practices through consumer courts. Please let me know if any of you are willing to join me.

                                    I ordered a pack of 20 cd's for Rs2000/- + Rs. 249/- handling charges. The order was delivered through VPP but the cd's are faulty. Also, the above company had promised the following:

                                    Hi, My complaint has not been resolved even though India Today Book club Claims it has.

                                    It is surprising to see that all the complaints here have been resolved on02/03/2009. Myabe a special day for them.

                                    I am now going to the consumer court to teach these guys a lesson. They are not going to go scot free after cheating so many people.

                                    Living Media : India today book club — Cheating on phone

                                    This is with reference to phone call from India Today at 13:52 hrs. on 17th April 2010 from phone no. [protected] informing me that I have won a prize of Rs. 30,000/- and I would receive the Demand draft in May end /June 2010.
                                    I confirmed twice that have I already won the prize or I would be entitled to entry to some lucky draw. He confirmed that I have already WON.
                                    He also informed that to be able to receive the prize, I need to make a purchase of @Rs.15000/-

                                    When I asked about the Identity of the calling person, he informed his name as Mr.Kulvirsingh (Employee ID 18304). When I asked him to send mail informing my winning the prize, he informed that it is not possible, but surely I would get the prize DD.Considering the confirmations given and that it was from organization like India Today group, I ordered one digital camera and a microwawe oven (Rs. 7598 & Rs.7798 having above mentioned booking id). He also informed me that along with this, I would be getting Reebok track suit, Rayban goggles free. He told that the items shall be delivered within 10-15 days.
                                    Above mentioned amount was debited to my HDFC bank credit card on-line.He also gave me customer care no. [protected] for further queries.

                                    To confirm the matter, I phoned the customer care on 19th April (18th April being Sunday) at 11:30 hrs. and talked to a person named Mr. Pawan.
                                    He informed me that there is no such prize given to anyone and the person claiming any such thing on phone is wrong. I immediately asked for order cancellation, to which he informed me that their server is down and I better phone in the afternoon.

                                    I again called at 16:20 hrs. and customer care executive Mr. Prashant Singhania also confirmed that the person who had informed me about prize was wrong (cheat).
                                    He cancelled the order and informed me that it will take 21-28 days for refund process.

                                    Now the amount stands debited from my Credit card account, so I need to make payment, which I will get refund from India today after 21-28 days!
                                    They are cheats and needs to be prosucuted

                                      After my complaint on yesterday, I got mail from indiatodaybookclum informing me the unique no. but when going on the site for claiming the free gift it doesnot work. My all details are as follows :

                                      but the computer doesnt accept it even after many tries.

                                      India Today book club/britannica concise 2007 cd — not finding unique no on invoice to claim free gift

                                      Dear Sir, I have purchased three cds of britannica concise 2007 cd rom, encyclopedia of britannica guide to shakespeare and quiz master vide my order No. OGA[protected] dated 28 Jul 08, Invoice No. ORA[protected] dated 29 Jul 08 my membershipno. ITBC08557711. The invoice cum delivery not received by me is not showing the unique no and I find it difficult to claim my free gift. Please send me the unique no. so that I can claim my free gift.

                                      India Today book club/britannica concise 2007 cd — site doesnot open

                                      Dear Sir,
                                      This is my fourth complaint, The indiatodaybookclub is the fraud company. In the first instance they could not give me my Unique no. on my invoice. then secondly they could not activate my Unique no. now this is the fourth time their site does not open at all. All the irresponsible and careless people are gathered for this work. My Uniq No. is[protected]A[protected], my itbc member ship no. itbc08557711, Invoice no. ORA[protected] dated 28 Jul 08, Order no. OGA[protected]. The time I have spent for claiming this free gift would have got me three time the worth of this free gift. I will have to say sorry tho this agency in future.

                                        Dear Sir,

                                        I have received the three CDs. The enclosure with the invoice asks for logon to http://offers.indiatodaybookclub.com/greatoffers.htm for claiming free gifts.This site does not open when attempt was made to open it. It says site is not available. How to claim free gifts in such circumstances. Should I proceed to Consumer Court or wait for a solution or rather whom should I approach for a proper solution to the problem?

                                        I had ordered for few encyclopedia c.d under gift scheme. The PRO of book club promised me that if i will make payment through credit card, i will recive a diomond pendant. But to my shock and surprise I did, nt received that, inspite of my making payment throgh credit card. I hope that book club will help me in getting my free diamound pendant .
