IHAVE PLACED AN ORDER FOR 20 CD'S SACRRED MOEMNTS IN SEPT.08, BUT REGREAT TO INFORME YOU THAT THE SAME HAS TILL NOT RECEIVED INSPITE OF MY REPEATED REMINDERS.

PLEASE ALSO LET ME KNOW WHEN THE DRAW WILL BE OPENED OR OTHERWISE YOU ARE CHITTING TO THE MEMBERS, SINCE ALREADY 1 & HALF YEAR HAS BEEN PASSED & I HAVE ALREADY INCURED MORE THAN RS.20000/- BY PLACING VARIOUS ORDERS ON YOU.

ONE OF ORDER THAT IS 20 CD'S SACRED MOMENTS PACK IS YET NOT RECEIVED .APART FROM THIS NEARLY FOR 2/3 ORDERS I AM UNABLE TO CLAIM FREE GIFTS, DUE TO NON AVAILABILTY OF SITES GIVEN BY YOU.

    You have not provided me the holiday voucher number.

    So please provide me the holiday voucher number. So that I can do the hotel booking accordingly.

    Every time when I called customer care at [protected] at least 20 times, , I got confusing & conflicting answers. I bought the product from India today book club, because of your brand name, but it seems you are reluctant to give any good services & are not bothered about customer satisfaction and it is very very frustrating. Also earlier when I emailed my complaints, your feedback club seems to be using a standard format for reply stating that it is a technical problem and you are not interested in solving my problem.



    Once again I am begging; please give me the correct and valid holiday voucher so that I can avail my free holiday voucher of 5000 Rs.



    Also see the attached emails which I sent to you many times for making complaints and how I ran here and there for claiming my free gift and still my problem is not solved.



    You can understand my frustration level and irritation when you will go through these attached emails.

    Hopes at least with these full details you can solve my problem and provide me correct holiday voucher number and assisting me for hotel booking.

    dear sir,
    i had ordered fo a art d inox dinner set in march 2009. i recieved the set in may 2009. but the set was recieved by me in a broken condition for which the same day i sent an email with the detailed description of broken items and also photographs of the broken items.

    the items i have recieved in a broken condition are:

    6 Dinner plates
    1 rice plate.

    i was promised that the replacement would be sent within 15 days!

    but after a lot of calls and emails later, on 28/07/09 i recieved a packet from you for replacement of broken items.

    but when i opened the packet it contained

    1 Rice Plate
    1 Dinner Plate instead of 6 Dinner Plates!!!!!

    i immediately called up your customer care and was promised that the replacement would be sent in 15 days.
    IT HAS BEEN ONE FULL YEAR SINCE I PLACED THE ORDER AND DESPITE HAVING SENT MORE THAN 200 EMAILS TO ALL KNOWN EMAIL ID'S OF INDIA TODAY GROUP INCLUDING CEO'S NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE. INFACT THEY DONT EVEN BOTHER TO SEND A REPLY LEAVE ALONE TAKE ANY ACTION!!

    I HAVE MADE ATLEAST 100 PHONE CALLS AT MY OWN EXPENSE AS THEIR TOLL FREE NO IS ALWAYS OUT OF ORDER OR JUST DOES NOT CONNECT BUT NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE .



    but going by my past experience i have no faith left in your services. kindly ensure timely delivery of the remaining dinner plates.

    but i do have a few questions to ask

    1) when i have sent details about the broken items not once but atleast 50 times why was only 1 dinner plate sent instead of 6 as should have been done??

    2) who is responsible for sending these items and why was this blunder done??

    3) what action would be taken against the erring employee who is responsible for the packing and dispatch??

    4) how do you plan to compensate me for the time wasted in sending you the emails regularly and the time and money spent on making calls to your call centre???

    5) how do you plan to compensate me for the fact that i have still not been able to use the dinner set till today despite having made the payment by credit card on 23/03/09??

    6) why should i not contemplate taking legal action against you for the same reasons???

      My ITBC Membership number is ITBC09999082
      On 17th April '09, I placed 2 orders with ITBC...one online for Reebok shoes and the other one through a telesales call for United Colours of Benetton Ladies Wallet and Belt set. The order for Reebok shoes got processed fine and I recieved the same within reasonable time. The other one got botched and I recieved a Reebok T shirt in place of the UCB Wallet and Belt, on 7th of May.
      a) I rang up the customer care and spoke to one Mr. Samrat who went on to inform me that the T shirt was a gift to me and my original order was being put into process and I would soon recieve it.
      b) I again spoke to customer care on the 10th of May to enquire and i was told that it was no gift and that i would have to send it back to them through courier and after that they would process my order. I also put in my first email to their ID : [protected]@indiatodaybookclub.com requesting them to sort out this mess.
      c) I wrote to them asking for instructions in written regarding the process to be followed for return and the cost liability to be taken by ITBC for returning the wrongly delivered product.
      d) After seeking clarity on the process I couriered them the parcel (T shirt alongwith a covering letter, the invoice copy and a copy of the courier bill as instructed) on May 21st.
      e) In response to my call today 9th June, i am informed that they have recieved the returned parcel today itself !!! (Read- that they have Updated their records today --- the courier company has a ITBC stamped POD dated 25th May. 14 days to update the reciept of the parcel!!!)
      f) Some of their email responses clearly state that they have fully processed my order and therefore no cancellation or refund is possible. Some guy mentions that I should refuse the delivery of the order at my doorstep... without bothering to look into the history of correspondence or trying to understand the issue. the issue is of wrong DELIVERY, so where is the chance to refuse the courier delivery anymore.
      g) There is total anarchy in this company, their dispute redressal system is extremely poor and non-responsive in this age. The customer care is full of non-accountability to the customer himself. I have felt that I was dealing with some cheap online company and not with someone who has the name India Today attached to it.
      h) It has taken I believe 10 calls and a similar number of emails... and i still dont have my ordered product, which has been paid for in full on 17th April!!!

      If there is somebody from ITBC reading this... well what can I say, can you do something about this?
      ITBC customer care is hopeless. Throughly unprofessional.
      I had availed ITBC offer on July 9, 2009, through telesales from itbc marketing team.

      I was given an offer of receiving for a couple, two return air tickets, all taxes paid, along with 2 nights 3 days stay at a 3/5 star hotel at any of the places in India, which included all the taxes and meals. I could choose any dates according to my convinience, even on weekends, and would be given booking by the hotel on a priority basis.

      I had 3 different conversations with the tele-marketing operater who repeatedly assured me of the above offer, as it is, with no hidden terms and conditions. When i asked for a written detailed offer, an attachment was sent to me reassuring me of the same. When i enquired that it didnt mention anything about including taxes, i was told that they didnt have the said performa on mail as they worked through tele-marketing only. I was further told that as a bonus i was getting the offer of the free books also.
      I have received the said books along with the invoice having the given web no. I called itbc helpline no. and was again assured of the same offer by the tele- operator.

      But when i tried to log on to the given website with my given web no. it rejeceted any attempt saying that the iformation provided was incorrected. On calling the helpline no. i was given a new web no. with which i was able to register immediately but with a shock i found out that the initial offer was nowhere to be found, instead there was an offer for only one person with a host of terms and conditions!

      I feel very cheated in the whole episode and feel that i misplaced my trust in such a reputed(?) company.

      After this i have had several phone conversations with their customer care people and all they tell me is that, yes they have recordings of the conversations of the telesale and it was just a 'miscommunication' and they apologise for the same!

        I want to register the complain against India Today. I am receiving atleast 4 sms daily from India Today. It says about some offer. I do not want to receive any such spam message.
        I do not know how these guys got my mobile number. I have registered my email id to Do No Disturb listing of BSNL I have even send them email for not doing these nuisance. I have registered a complain with their no.. But even then they are continuing to send me unwanted SMS.

          This is an intentional fraud by India Today. Please donot buy the CK offer for 6950/-. Im advising so since i deal in air tickets. They are offering a CK watch and a swatch watch along with a return air ticket for Rs.6950/-. While placing the order I had checked 5 times from their excecutive wheter the ticket has any terms and conidtions. The excecutive on all five occasions said that there is absolutely no terms and conditions attached to it. On much pursuattion he accepted that you will be given unique code by which u can book online atleast 7 days before travel. This was reasonable enough as before 7 days you would normally pay Rs.7000-Rs.8000 for a return domestic ticket (excluding taxes) I also sent them a mail requesting for written terms and conidtions. There was no mail. The excecutive calls back that' " Sir, why do you need a mail? we are recording this conversation. Its a reputed company. You will receive all details after order but be rest assured there are no conditions" I accepted the order.

          I received a message after 15 days that you order has been dispatched. after a days time I received an email from them, enclosing a 6 page terms and conditions. It was clear that they would send this mail after a stage where the order cannot be cancelled. It is a clear fraud. Terms and conditions state that we need to fill up a form and coourier to them. They will call us after 15 days and will generate a reservation for 45 days after that day. ALl in all we need to pre plan 60-70 days in advance where is any given airline is available for a max of Rs. 500 for a return domestic economy class ticket excluding taxes which we need to pay.

          This is a clear case of cheating and is not expected from such reputed national complanies. Such reputed companies resorting to such cheap means of cheating people is a matter of shame.

              Wrote to India Today Book Club on eMail ID-> [protected]@indiatodaybookclub.com for refund of the order no M-COMMERCE/0GA[protected]. The order value is Rs. 5697.
              It’s been 2 months and this 2 months have costed me my actual amount which had been paid to you and the 36% interest on that.

              Already spoke to the supervisor, Mr Jitendra Kumar Thakur on 2nd /3rd Apr’09 to refund the amount & been expecting a call back as promised by him. He gave me a Reference no, 547 however I haven’t received any response from him nor from your team except for a standard mail again & again from so many different executives, agriti, Amit Kumar, Geeta Gautam, Sushil Kumar so on...

              Refund still pending for amount Rs.5697 to “Living Media In” Transaction Dated 19/03/2009. We dont get any response except for a standard mail again & again.

                  On 23/04/09 order was taken by your Mr. Shiv Kumar on my SBI VISA card. while I completed registering my card no. and CV no.Mr.Kumar said that due to some technical snag the payment of Rest. 2598.00 was not through hence he will call me later on.The booking I.D. for that order was[protected]. He again called me in the evening and got the registering done.This time the booking I.D was[protected].
                  While I was checking my recent payment due with SBICARD the customer service executive told me of two payments of same amount paid the India Today Book Club.
                  I got panicked and called customer service and informed Mr. Md. Farhan and requested him to cancell the subject order no[protected], which he promised to do so.
                  The follow up from my side was going on and every body including Mr.Jitender Thakur promised me to cancell the order and refund the money. On June 1, 09 I received a mail from Ms. Geeta that the order can not be cancelled as it has been fully processed.This was after more than a month.
                  This mail is to issue a credit note to my SBICARD account under advise to me.
                  The gift Regarding the package tour of two nights and three days in any 3/5 star hotel and airfare for one person valid for one year has not been provided with any document. While taking the order the package was offered by your Mr.Shiv Kumar.When I enquired Mr.Saurabh Awasthy on June 2, 09 he gave me website<www.bookstoday.in/promos.htm> which does not open. Their other sites <[protected]@offer.indiatodaybookckub.com> also does not open.
                  Request you to do the needful and get my refund of Rs.2598.00 and free gift at the earliest.

                    When I had received this offer from India Today Book Club, their representative had called to check if I was interested in the offer. Since I had already planned my vacation in june, I asked the representative that I would ONLY be interested if they can guarantee my hotel bookings for the said dates. I even mentioned to the representative that if i cant get a booking for these dates, i was not interested as I dont have any plans for vaccation for the next one year. The representative confirmed to me that the bookings would be done & mentioned that all i I would need to do is make the payment through my credit card instantly & within a week they would be sending across the booking details.

                    True enough, I received the packet on a week, but was quite shocked to find that it was not a confirmation of my booking at all. It only contained a booklet numbered 001933 alongwith a form with instructions to fill the same and send it to Premier Sales Promotions Pvt.Ltd., Post Box No.5042, Bangalore – 560 001. It was quite shocking for me to know that I had to send this to the above address & they would send a promo code confirmation letter within 10 days of receiving the packet.

                    I was quite apprehensive about sending it by Post, but unfortunately, I had no option but to send it ONLY by post as it only had a Post Box Number. I finally posted the same. I had hoped to receive a quick response from them and kept waiting. When I did not receive any response till 4th june, I had enquired with the India Today Book Club and they provided me with the contact No. of Premier Sales Promotions Pvt.Ltd at Bangalore. I subsequently called up Premier Sales Promotions, but they told me that they did not receive the packet.
                    As the represntative topld me i finally book my air ticket too.
                    in support of my above given statement i.e. promise made by representative i have the recording of that particuler call.

                    I seek your help to get my booking conferm immediately so that i can enjoy my vacation with my family.

                    Dear Sir,
                    In Aug.08 India today book club had sent me an offer that if I buy 4 cd's at rs.648 then I will get addidas shoes @700 + 1 Tupperware Lunch set free + Diamond Jwellery for 5000 free.
                    Out of this I sent money for Addidas shoes. After a great follow up with my own money I could get my shoes in Dec.08 but since then I have called them at least 50 times - spending my own money on std as they do not have the toll free number.The makt. executives are too arrogant and cheaters as they promised 5-7 times that I will get the free gift in 15days/7 days . I even spoke to the floor superviser who also promised to reply within 1 hr. But probably they are given that kind of training that they should not reply.
                    The worst part is that you can not reach to The Manager .
                    They should be penalised for fooling the consumers .

                    Myself Kapil Nanda. I purchase a scheme of movie vouchers from your end. I am trying to book my tickets since morning via STD call @2.50 rs per minute, on the phone number given on the booklet[protected]. All the time the phone number is busy. Now i am calling in your customer care and the guy is saying he cann't help me. I just want to know this ridiculous thing that when you were selling the scheme then you showed so mush eagerness. Now you are not even attending the bloody existing customer.
                    Tell me a single reason why i should go for your other schemes.
                    Please stop making fool of common man and fill your pockets.
                    Should i burn the movie vouchers now when i am unable to book the tickets. This should be mentioned in your scheme already that "dear customer - you need to book your tickets by calling over to banglore and that is only single number which will be provided".
                    Only one number is given on the booklet and that too all the time busy. I had sent my voucher number via sms to [protected] to activate it. Shouldn't you call me up to book my tickets.
                    What convinience you are providing me when to save just 50 rs. on ticket, i purchase your scheme and to book the tickets, i spend approx. more than 100 rs on phone on your stupid banglore STD number.

                    I had recieved a Movie Gift Voucher from BigCity Promotions/India Today by paying 588.00 INR.

                    let me know answers for below questions,

                    1) In booklet it is mentioned to send SMS of the booklet number to activiate the offer but where it is mentioned can I know .Finally when I called the customer care number[protected] phone will be received atleast after 10 min only after keeping on Hold just to increase the phone bill) .Customer care person itself not clear which booklet number has to sent and she says send SMS to[protected] with message "INDIATODAY Booklet number" I asked her first let me know where is the booklet number and she is not sure about that and said will be calling after some time but i never recived an call from your side.(Confusion is booklet number of the invoice or they are voucher number).


                    Finally just to check my luck I had sent SMS to[protected] with Book ID M1988( which was very diffiult to read taht it was "I" or "1" in M1988 with such very low quality of Invoice printing) finally it was correct.

                    I had called customer care(which will be picked only after 5-10 min kept on hold to increase the phone bill again) again to check that did they receive the message and activated my booklet.Finally they confirm activated on 27-05-09.Means only three more days left to use first voucher as per terms and conditions



                    2)I had called customer care next day to book the ticket for saturday 30-05-09, movie which I want to see is not located in there selected theaters, so finally I couldnt book the ticket through movie voucher.

                    3)Again in june when I had called up to book a movie ticket this time again new intresting point they said, everytime you book a movie you need to send an SMS of Voucher ID.Where the hell all these details are provided that you had to send everytime whenever you have to book a ticket.Any way I had sent SMS and called nextday, trouble starts again here they cant book a movie ticket for new releases because of high rush.There excuse here is ony 2-5% of movie tickets are alloted to this movie voucher so it will be booked very quickly so it is not possible if you call very lately on thursday for new relase of friday.

                    4)In June ending keeping in mind that I had to call early to book a movie ticket for new release I had called up on wednesday itself this time there excuse is new movie list is stil not updated in our database so we cant book a movie for new release.

                    5)Everytim you call they say two things in same a)sir it is not possible on weekends can you go on weekdays please b)everytime when you request to connect the call to manager same responce "Manager went for Lunch" any time you call morning, afternoon, evening same reply "Manger went for Lunch".


                    Why all these conditions are not clearly mentioned in the movie vocuher, did I call to buy movie vocuher, you india today /big city promotions had called several times a day that sir please take pease take it it will be very useful.


                    One more point bigcity promotion uses www.bookmyshow.com website only to book the ticket.If movie/theatre is not shown in this website then tehy wil not book the movie ticket.But one one more thing here there was a situation movie to be releases on friday may showup in bookmyshow by tuesday it doesn't mean indiatoday/bigcity will book the ticket because there database will not be updated till thursday but by thursaday all the tickets will be soldout .


                    You pay 588.00 INR for movie vocuher and pay 1000 INR for Phone Bill.

                    When you ask why you keep a call on hold for long time they say we get lot of calls from all over India so it will take time, if they don't have enough infrastructure to handle the calls then why do you sell offers.

                    I had just recieved my ordered packet from bluedart courier with pod
                    as [protected] delivered by Nagi Reddy at 9:30 pm (i.e 19/08/09), To my
                    surprise this courier is having only one watch instead of two watches
                    and that Reebok which is free for Swatch Crono and the same is
                    missing, I immediately tried for call centre which is opened only

                    I too have purchased movie vouchers. Every time I call from Pune to Banglore I spend lot of money. Today(26/09/2009-SAT) around 10 am I tried to book a ticket for a movie in Pune. The telephone attendent at the other end said we are booked now till 3rd October 2009 and we cant take your bookings till 30th/9/2009 and asked me to contact only after 30th.


                    It is rediculous when we want to see movies we cannot and when the India today club is free to work they will book our tickets. They have considered us fools to have association with the club.Once we pay their dues they are not bothered and we have a pressure o[censored]sing tickets every month and when at the end of month, we ask for booking they say we are busy. I have lost too such passes and feel sorry that I fell pray of this club.

                    The process they mentioned in their booklet seems to be simple however when we try to use it we pay more on phones and we dont get bookings.

                    Can the club look into such situation and help customers and make arrangement so people can enjoy movies when they want and not at the wish and freeness of club staff..
                    All these complaints are very true. Premier Sales is giving only POBox address, therefore you have no option but to send the documents by ordinary post. Further the ph no provided is always busy.
                    I am unable to understand why the hell India Today Book Club is not dealing with the customers directly FOR GIFT VOUCHER? Why the hell Premier Sales is not giving the Address of some building or Premises?
                    Both India Today Book Club & Premier Sales are bloody CHEATERS & FRAUD. Criminal cases need to be filed against their owners.

                    India Today Book Club — false promotion

                    Dear Sir,

                    I am Rajasekaran from chennai. Let all the people be alert about a cheating company in the name of a so called reputed cheating company called India today (living media)

                    A call center employee from India today book club called me in my mobile and informed me that there is a scheme for Rs.3198/- wherein you can avail 2 niights and 3 days holiday package of our choice any where in India along with two way Airfare. Eventhough i was not willing to beleive since it was not viable proposition, due to the perrsistent calls from the ITBC call center employee i said okay i will make try and swiped my card thro IVRS for Rs. 3198. before swiping i asked the call centre employee to mail me a mail confirming me that the air fare is free which he promptly did.at the time of hanging the receiver he informed me that we will get our voucher within 7 days. To our shock we received a parcel of books and cds with a invoice for 3198/- when we called the call centre they we are not answering properly and also mention pls log in to some site to claim the free gift. But when we opened the page it said pls take printout of this voucher and send it to some X travel agency along with 800 Rs as charges. I felt so cheated and humiliated that a magazine which talks about ethics in public life is nothing but a NO 1 cheating company. People pls before and dont be gready. Never deal with this company even if they are saying they are giving gold as free.
                    There are around 2850 complaints against the ITBC why not the police close down this cheating company immediately. It can save people from investing money in such a company

                    India Today Book Club — false promises made

                    I purchased Reebok fitness kit from India Today Book club in Feb 2009. My ITBC number is ITBC09868748. When i received the packet, track suit was missing from that. I denied to accept from courier guy. Now after making almost 1000 calls and many emails to their customer care, i received Rs.1205 instead of Rs.3198. I would rather say that it is a india today fraud club. Now their customer care say that they cannot do anything on my case. According to them they have escalated my case to their higher authority and if they are telling me to go some Connaught Place address and meet Mr. Rohit. and they can do nothing to help me. Now it is more than one year and i am still awaiting my Refund. They have crossed all limits of false promises. I can name each and every person to whom i had talked in last one year. The name of customer care person's are as follows: Justin Fernandes, Rashid, Azeem Khan, Jitender. I am still cluesless if i will get my refund. I would request everyone to beware of India today book club. They are no. 1 fraud company in India. I am going to file a case in consumer court very soon. I will make them pay heavy fine for my harassment.

                    very good vijay, pls go ahead for complaint for this kind of bustards...thay also called me and offered Rs55000 as prize money to buy any of their mother's vagina product...but I enquired a lot b4 proceeding and tried calling in customer care it was found false and they had tie up for bank card pin using so it clicked my mind and I enquered with banks that they named. Banks were clueless about any such tie-up. God saved me. But go ahead for complaint.. ALL THE BEST>

First they send me a wrong item after 2 months...then i get a correct item after a wait of 6 months, and guess what the watch does not even work...the dial has lots and lots of scratches...Who to blame and who to complain...The customer care dept gives one and same reply...i apologise i am sorry...blah blah blah...Whats the point...is there anyone who can save us from these type of people...

                          After seeing an Ad. on HT against Reebok Summer Kit, I have ordered the same through phone and made payment by Credit Card on 23rd March. According to them they are supposed to deliver the items within 3 weeks of payment. My order No. is IDBC 09956745. After waiting about one month, I have been making calls to them and they were telling that they have despatched but returned without accepting the same. But no body turned up with the material so far as my wife is in my home always. Moreover I have given my mobie No. as well as residence telephone nos. to them and no body called us in this regard.

                          Whenever I make calls they used to say that it will take 15 days to complete the redespatch formalities and deliver the items. This I have been hearing for the last 1.5 months.

                          Please note that if I could not get the items within 10 days from this date I will be forced to take leagal action.

                          This refers to your advertisement in Divya Bhaskar dated 27th October 2009 (Ahmedabad edition). The advertisement clearly states that against value of Reebok Kit worth Rs.10,395/- which includes Reebok Track suit, Reebok Shoes, Reebok bag, Reebok towel and Reebok Classic Watch, payment of Rs.2,999/- plus courier charges is to be made.

                          I had booked for the Reebok Kit worth Rs.10395/- against payment of Rs.2,999/- + courier charges of Rs.200.00 for a total amount of Rs.3,199/-.

                          My Order number was OGAO90072394 and the booking number was-[protected]. The payment was made by SBI Credit Card No.[protected] on 28th October 2009 of Rs.3,199/-.

                          I have received the consignment on November 04, 299. However I am surprised to find that it does not contain the watch as mentioned in the advertisement. Moreover I have also not received the socks though the payment is made credit card.

                          I request you to kindly look into the matter and see that these two items are sent to me immediately. This is not a mistake as the invoice also contains only the items other than watch and socks. In the alternative you may please refund me the entire amount of payment and collect back the items delivered as I have not used them at all.

                          I am sure you will do the needful and resolve the issue amicably as such type of ommissions are causing unnecessary exchange of correspondence and mental tension on your valued customers. Please act promptly to further the prestige of your group.

                          India Today Shopping — Non receipt of reebok kit

                          I booked for reebok kit on 12/12/09 after seeing an ad in the newspaper. I paid my money through credit card. My booking id is[protected] and it was told that I will be getting a call within a week about the dispatch details etc. But so far I have not received any such call from them nor I received my material.

                          Non receipt of Reebok Kit,
                          I bookded the Reebok kit on telephone on 25/11/2009 with reference to the ad in News Paper. I paid the money through credit card. My booking ID is[protected]. It was told that the kit will be received within 10 to 15 days after booking. Still I have not received the kit.

                            Finally, yesterday I got my packet of claiming holiday package after 10 days of payment of Rs.5943/-. To my surprise I found that its only for 2 adults and 2 kids below 12 years. But actually while booking your representative Rajendra(Mobile:[protected]) told me that the offer is for 4 adults and we will get 2 seperate rooms for 2 couple to stay. I confirmed this with him twice or thrice over the phone but he said that he is sure and also gave me his personal mobile number as a guarantee that if any problem arises I can contact him. Now his phone is not working or switched off. And its very hard to connect through your toll free or[protected]. So email is the only way to contact you. I am feeling like cheated.

                            This is a very serious complain and you must take it seriously. Let me know if I will get actually get holiday for 4 adults or its a false claim.

                              When I had received this offer from India Today Book Club, their representative had called in around the 23rd April 2009, to check if I was interested in the offer. Since I had already planned my vacation in Coorg during May 29th to 3rd June, I asked the representative that I would ONLY be interested if they can guarantee my hotel bookings for the said dates for May 29th to 3rd June. I even mentioned to the representative that if i cant get a booking for these dates, i was not interested as I dont have any plans for vaccation for the next one year. The representative confirmed to me that the bookings would be done & mentioned that all i I would need to do is make the payment through my credit card instantly & within a week they would be sending across the booking details.

                              True enough, I received the packet on 25th April 2009, but was quite shocked to find that it was not a confirmation of my booking at all. It only contained a booklet numbered 001090 alongwith a form with instructions to fill the same and send it to Premier Sales Promotions Pvt.Ltd., Post Box No.5042, Bangalore – 560 001. It was quite shocking for me to know that I had to send this to the above address & they would send a promo code confirmation letter within 10 days of receiving the packet.

                              I was quite apprehensive about sending it by Post, but unfortunately, I had no option but to send it ONLY by post as it only had a Post Box Number. I finally posted the same and sent it through Registered A.D No.A 7880 on 28th April 2009. I had hoped to receive a quick response from them and kept waiting. When I did not receive any response until 6th, I had enquired with the Toll free number of India Today Book Club and they provided me with the contact No. of Premier Sales Promotions Pvt.Ltd at Bangalore. I subsequently called up Premier Sales Promotions, but they kept giving promises that they would take it on priority I have since then been calling up both Premier Sales Promotions and India Today Book Club & the response has been the same. Finally, when I had called them on 15th, they informed me that they had received the packet only on 11th May 2009 and they would need 10 working days to process the same. I was quite Shocked – I had been calling in every day and finally this was the response that I had got. This effectively meant that i wont get my confirmation before i had started my vacation on 24th. I called up India Today book Club and complained and asked them to refund my money.

                              Thats when the representative of India Today Book Club with whom i spoke mentioned that to get a refund, i would need to send them a mail alongwith all the required documents. I had promptly sent them a mail alongwith a copy of my credit card statement (proof that i have paid the money), a copy of the Invoice & a copy of the Regd A.D Card.

                              I had vide the mail, requested to treat my Order No.OGA[protected] as Cancelled for the reasons that :
                              è I was mislead by your representative & a the product was not explained to me properly
                              è I had made this payment with the sole assurance that I would get a booking for May 29th to June 3rd at Coorg – which now is remote.

                              I seek your help to get my money back immediately & urge you to take steps to ensure that people are not fooled around by such false promises.

                              INDIA TODAY BOOK CLUB-16 CD PACK — merry go round instructions

                              there is no place to register and claim the free gifts after having received the 16 CD pack.
                              I think the way to cheat is to test the patience of gullible people who trust india today group and loyally purchase, yet somehow never see the gifts after searching ways to claim / reply / post letters etc in vain hope.
                              If gifts are due, then please dispatch the same to the address to which the CD pack was dispatched. No need to trouble people after making a deal.
                              This way of dragging issue is no more different than the unsolicited telemarketing callers on mobiles.

                              ITBC 16 cd pack — 16 CD PACK RECEIVED

                              DEAR SIR,
                              I HAVE RECEIVED 16 CD PACK FROM ITBC. AS PER THERE SUGGESTION I HAD TRIED A LOT TO LOG ON TO THEIR SITE www.bookstoday.in/promos.htm. I COULD LOGON TO THIS SITE BUT THE DETAILS ASKED BY THEM ARE NOT AVAILABLE WITH ME. THE VERY FIRST QUESTION "
                              Fill in the Unique Promotion Number printed on your invoice" THIS WAS NOT THERE IN THE INVOICE. AS SUCH I HAD CONTACTED THERE GIVEN TEL NO.[protected] ONE MR. CHANDAN APPEARED AFTER ABOUT 5-6 MINIUTES RINGING. I PUT FORTH MY GRIVANCE BEFORE HIM. HE GAVE ME SOME OTHER LOG IN ID WHICH APPEARS TOO BE FAKE, BECAUSE EVEN AFTER THIS I COULD NOT LOGON TO THE SITE.

                              I THEN GAVE EMAIL TO [protected]@indiatodaybookclub.com. I WAS FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO GET THE REPLY STATING THAT THE COMPLAINT FORWARDED TO THE RESPECTIVE DEPT AND THEY WILL REPLY ACCORDINGLY. NOTHING CAME OUT. THIS SEEMS TO BE A DIRTY PRACTICE. TERMED AS BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES AND NEEDS TO BE WIDELY PROPOGANDED SO THAT OTHER PEOPLES SHOULD NOT FALL PREY TO THEIR ILLICIT WISHESH.

                              I NEED MY FREE GIFT AND INDIA TODAY HAVE TO GIVE IT TO ME AT ANY COST. OR ELSE I WILL KILL ANYBODYS FUTURE.

                              They have charged me INR2598 against a holiday package and instead sent me the packet of books showing the same value. This they have charged me twice with an additional offer of free flight tickets to various destinations in India. The order no. is OGA[protected]. The packages were booked in two names as follows:

                              India Today Book Club is bloody fraud. They promised that free Air ticket shall be given to the customers on purchase of certain goods. Then they asked me to send the Air ticket booking form to Premier Sales Promotions Pvt Ltd Bangalore. This Company is also bloody fraud.They gave the address of POBox No and not any Building Etc. I sent the form 4 times by ordinary post but their call center say it is not received. Both the orgnitions are frud. Their owner should be arrested under Indian Penal Code for fraud & cheating.

When I called them on 2nd December they said that they have received the form on 2nd December. And promied to send after 10 working days. When contacted today I was told that it will be posted tomorrow i.e. 16th dece. 09.

                              They are not attending the phones also propoerly - not giving their proper address. When asked the address they said that they are not supposed to give it and also mentioned that no entry to office is allowed.

                              There is something fishy in their plan of operations. Please inform all about thier experiecne and also the result from the court.

                              I have met the same fate and my holiday plans were all disturbed.Now I have no trust in these people.
                              I became a victim twice to the deceitful ITBC offers. On phone, I was told a different set of free gifts and on delivery (after payment), it was revealed to me that another holiday/ air ticket voucher was given as a free gift. I was totally disinterested in these holiday/ air ticket offers as one previous offer of early 2009 is not yet confirmed after 8-9 months. I am very sure it wont. This Premier Sales is bigger fraud. Their T&C which they dont reveal is totally misleading. For Air Ticket offer, they seek Rs.7, 000/- as processing charges. And I am dead sure, none could avail that offer. On the first place, no one is so stupid to send a DD of Rs. 7, 000/- through ordinary post to a PO Box in Bangalore. Even by luck, if it reaches, they are never going to book the tickets. The flight booking form itself is absurd, seeking three destinations and three different dates.
                              For Holiday offers, they are charging Rs.900/- as processing charges. I have once paid that amount 4 months back and yet no confirmation. They dont answer phone calls any more. You are continuously kept waiting to no avail.

                              India Today Book Club — Cheating and Unfair Trade Practice

                              I have been booking my Railway Tickets through IRCTC website. I received a Promotional Offer last year from India Today Book Club stating that on purchase of 7 Set of DVDs of Agatha Crhsitie i would be entitled to one UCB Watch (which i received) along with one Round Trip Air Ticket absolutely free. I was given a unique code number and I used the same to log in to the website www.bookstoday.in/prmos.htm wherein I was directed to access another website www.bigcity.in/indiantodaybookclub which I did and I was given a Voucher No. I was informed whenever I contacted the Bangalore Office of Bigcity Promotions that I would be sent a voucher to be returned to them duly filled in. I have not received any voucher for the past one year. I kept on calling Bangalore Number as well as Delhi India Today Book Club Number. Though they replied to my e-mail complaints that something would be done to ensure remedial action, nothing happened so far.

                              Later I placed an order for Kodak Camera through the same India Today Book Clum through phone. Here to I was assured one free holiday voucher and a round trip air ticket. I have been trying to log on to the web site www.bigcity.in/indoatodaybookclub after obtaining voucher number etc. through ITBC (India Today Book Club).

                              I shall be grateful, if some lawyers of eminence take this India Today Group to Court and ensure legal action again them

                              I alao paid Rs.3198.00 to get a collection of books and CDs along with the Air Tickets and stay at a 4 star resort (which was promised to me by the tele-marketing executive) after informing that I was one of 100 lucky winners of a lucky draw.

                              I just recieved a note saying that I could book my tickets through Premier Sales Pvt. Ltd. However, after reading through all this, its become quite clear that it is a big fraud that we have all been duped into.

                              i requested to you plesae take strict action against these type of company to mislead teh customer.

                              We all must take ITBC to court for their frudelent practice. Should we take help of official agency of the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Department of Consumer Affairs, Govt. of India, New Delhi.

                              If, we all put case simentenously, then ITBC may will forced to take some action & refund our money back.

                              Let us make some commen plateform, from where we can fight against this.

                              I had bought many books and CDs from India Today Book Club. I like the fact that their customer care is very helpful. For any kind of information one can usually dial their customer care number at[protected] or by sending an email at [protected]@indiatodaybookclub.com.
                              I have also been duped by the tele-executives of ITBC. The promise one thing while taking the order and some other product. I have yet to receive TheShopping vouchers, the Holiday vouchers and Round Trip Air Ticket voucher which were promised to me by the tele executive when he sold me a product in the month of February. Whenever I have mailed them I only get assurances but no result. I think the whole of ITBC is a Fraud company. The government should take action against such companies and also against Premier Sales Promotion Co.

                              India Today Book Club — non receipt of refund from last 15 months

                              I have made payment for nine vouchers on Apr 28th 2009. The same was returned also as the parcel not reached me on time. The weight of the parcel should be around 27 kg but it was only 2.5 kg only. The company person has assured me for the refund of Rs.23000/- within fifteen days. But till today i haven't received the refund and nearly thousand of mails have been forwaded but only false hopes & assurance are their in the mail. Even i have mailed them the payment details in May 2009 & also the courier returned acknowledgment in Jun 2009. But they are saying our system has not uploaded it. They themselves says that we are working with the useless systems. What should I do to get my refund. Please any one could help me out.

                              They are cheats .. and only interested in selling the products .. which are incidentally are not to the mark.
                              They are being in false selling practice and arrogant when you catch them and try to complain.
                              INDIA TODAY - Is going to pay for this practices as surely they are loosing the Brand recognition.

                              We people should really try our best to expose them where ever possible ..

                              This is Chinmaya Patro and i got a call from an agent named Hussain from india today book club on 18 september 2010 and he informed me that i was a winner of a lucky draw and I had won a holiday package for 3 days & two nights with oneway flight tickets and free gifts (reebok track suit, t- shirt.shorts and world book etc) and also informed that we will be receiving it within 15 days but till now we have not received it.and i have already made a payment of 4998 rupees for the same deal to avail the prize.But till now have not received any communication from them.apart from that another agent from India today group called me up name Shahid on 19 September 2010 and he told me that we would only be getting 7000 rupees for flight fare and it may be one ticket or two which was not informed to me inspite of repetetively seeking clarifications regarding the same.After being confirmed falsely by Hussain that the ticket would include all the members of my family, the payment was made by my wife's credit card by Hussain.So i requested Shahid to cancel the deal and he told me that he would get back to me after concerning his senior which did not happen till now.So i feel that i have been kept in dark since i have not received anything from India today's group neither any clarification for the same.So this issue may be considered in priority and the same may be clarified because me as a customer, am unsure about the whereabouts of my payment, else with the way the matter going on, I might have to file a case of customer harassment and provision of false details of the offer which had been provided to me instead of repetitive queries from me to Mr Hussain.

                              India Today Book Club — Duped into buying their products.

                              Hello Sir/Madam,

                              My name is Prashanth and I am a resident of Bangalore. I would like to lodge a complaint against India Today Book club. My complaint is as follows:

                              1. In the month of April I was contacted by a sales person from ITBC (India Today Book Club). He mentioned to me that I could enroll myself into
                              a Rs 60 Lakh sweepstake if i purchased products worth Rs 8000. Going by his word I had purchased for the amount (Rs 8000).

                              2. Quite soon I was approached by another sales person from ITBC stating that I was one of the lucky few who could win Rs 270000 and that i had to purchase
                              products worth Rs 15000 to lock my prize. I had purchased as he said so.

                              3. In a few days time It was stated that to claim my prize(Rs 270000) I had to purchase further products for Rs 15000. I had again done as the sales-person
                              has said so.

                              4. The result as they had said was to be announced ob the 15th August, but no further information has been relayed nor have they issued any date for the result
                              to be announced.


                              I have started harbouring suspicions about their intentions and about ITBC's credibility. I feel i have been duped into buying their products.

                              I would really appreciate if you look into this matter and take some stern action against ITBC for their un-professional attitude. I am willing to offer any help
                              towards your endaveour.

                              I too am having the same experience as all of you have said. But, we should be able to catch hold of these guys or ITBC who is making money by cheating us.
                              I had send my holiday request form10326 with the paymt in the month of June 10' but still there is no confirmation received. I have made it a routine to mail them everyday morning so that they atleast feel ashamed of themselves!

                                I have purchased 16 CD set of Sur Saaz aur Taal and offered free gifts within 4 weeks. Till date no gifts or any communication from the company came yet. Why these people are taking wrong paths to earn money? India will not shine if such polluting insects are allowed to roam in the net business. I hope my experience will alert the others to buy India Today Book Club products.

                                  There is no warranty/Guarantee Card or any booklet of Specification/Description. I do not know wheter it is UV protected or not? The quality is also not good.
                                  I should have bought a Fast Trak Sunglasses for this price.
                                  I regret my decision.

                                  Even i had bought s Sunglass, from India Today. They say its o[censored]nited Colors of Benetton and have charged Rs.598. But the glass doesnt look like original.They hav not given any tag nor the brand name is on the glass. It just says UCT-001 Frame Italy on the frame which has already faded. I strongly feel that i have been cheated. The quality is not at all good.. I greatly regret for buying it. Please can you confirm whether its original.

                                  I too bought a Glare for Rs. 495/- Model No. 60CCU4279 via a scheme from Sodexho for buying vouchers from them. The glare that i got doesnt have any guarantee or warrantee card which is surprising as a branded glare from United Colors of Bentton must have it. Also the quality of glass doesn't look too good which is again shocking. Also the Glass doesn't say whether it is UV Protected or not. Must say that the experience was not good.
                                  I TOO FEEL THAT I HAVE BEEN CHEATED AS THERE THERE IS NO SIGN OF THE GLASS BEING GENUINE MY MEMBERSHIP NO IS ITBC09125851. KINDY RESOLVE MY ISSUE ASAP.

                                    this is prof atre from pune, i had ordered for 8 books costing rs 599/- thro india today book club delhi, offer recd on internet on my gmail.com account.
                                    i recd a carton after 3weeks containing no books at all! instead there was something else which i never ordered for: some reebok key chain+wallet+leather belt.
                                    infact i made the payment successfully by verifying the cvv code on my hdfc bank credit card, the person on the other end successfully verified n confirmed receipt of the payment of 599/- on my card! my credit card has already been billed for rs 599/- but the ordered goods are not recd.this is a request to the india today book club logistics dept to verify my request of books order and redespatch the same as fast as possible.

However, later I thought that since you have committed such a silly mistake of sending a white sports shoes (Reebok) in place of black formal Bata shoes, what kind of guarantee that I got after returning the Reebok shoes to you by courier by paying a sum of about Rs.700 (that you promised to return after submission of the bill etc.) that you will not commit again the same error of sending some other shoes. That is why I think it is wise to keep whatever the thing that has been forced on me.

                                      Sir,

                                      On 23.04.2009 I have received a call in mobile from India Today Book Club executive Mr. Sachin Gupta who wanted to sale a product of 12 book having a free gift of tour package of Rs. 12000.00 in this purchase. I have denied for the tour package and he offered me many other package of rebock product which I declined.

                                      Lastly he offered me Art d’inox Fine Dining set price around 4800 much lesser than the tour package made in German with the purchase after discussion with is boss. I had also talked to his boss regarding the free gift of above dining set. He agreed and accordingly I have paid an amount of Rs. 2598.00 through my credit card vide HDFC Bank authorized code No. 081377, and transition time was 04.58 pm of 23.04.2009.

                                      After that Mr. Sachin Gupta gave me the Order No.[protected] and my member ship number was given by Ms. Geeta Gautam as ITBC091415. I requested to send the items immediately.

                                      After half an hour Mr. Sachin Gupta had called on me and declined to give the diner set with the book. Then I requested him to cancel my order and credit the amount in to my account but he disconnected the telephone.

                                      Then I have sent an e-mail on 23.04.2009 at 05.52pm requesting them to cancel the order and credit the amount to my account. But till date I have not received any reply from them regarding the cancellation.

                                      They have send the 12 books packet with out the gift of diner set to my residence.

                                      As I have paid the money had left no way except to keep the book without the gift. Also I have sent e-mail requesting for gift but all in vain. Now they kept quite.

                                      In view of the above I request your esteem concern to look in to the matter and do needful to retrieve my gift and oblige me.

                                      Hi,

                                      I have faced similar issue with India Today Book Club, I have very serious doubts whether India Today Book Club is owned by the India Today Group, considering the callous service meted out to customers (or should I call them victims of the scheming group?)

                                      I placed an order for watches and wallets and the order was assured to be delivered in 3-4 weeks. After several emails and phone calls to many people at the group, I finally managed to get the products after 14 weeks!

                                      The company was least apologetic and never compensated for my waste of time and money pursuing my order!

                                      We learn our lessons...I hope such forums make the companies also learn some lessons from others experience

                                      I also faced the same problem, they send me the books but not send my gift ( reebok shos), when i contacted them no proper answer ...
                                      I have faced the same type of issue.

                                      I have ordered the SAMSUNG camera.I have recived it, ..but which i recived was not the same which i thought.and before i called them i have cleared and got the confirmation..of refund back of my money.

                                      and i have sent back the sam eparcel to them on APRIL 2010 mid.

                                      Tooday it is JULY 27 2010..upto now, neither i have recived the refund back..nor reply from them..

                                      I fed up calling them..and mailing them..asking for refund..or valuable answer.

                                      and it has mentioned that in 40 days..they will refund my amount..nothing has happened.

                                      I bought a holiday package worth Rupees 5944/- from India today book club. Regarding which i received the voucher after 3 months. where in the process to claim it was by sending the form within the voucher to Bangalore on the following address PREMIER SALES PROMOTIONS PVT LTD, PO Box 5042, Bangalore 560001, India. With the phone no[protected] which never works. But 1 day somebody with the name Nalini picked the phone and answered me that i will recieve 1 promocode and website where i have to select the destination and date. but i didnt recieve the promocode for 1 month after which again call was made continuously and again the person with name Ms. Merry recieved the call she gave me the promocode for accesing the website.but when i used it the website showed an pop-up saying your HOLIDAY VOUCHER HAS ALREADY BEEN USED.I was/am daamn frustated by this i dont know what...But want my money back and also want to see these cheaters behind the BAR's / Jail.
