Dear Sir/Mam,

It has been several weeks now and India today book club even on repeated reminders have not sent me the item for which I made an online payment using my credit card

Please can you take action against them

India Today Book Club — Non receipt of contract items

The online purchase of reebok shoes, swift LP, reebok bag and towel were contracted to be purchsed vide order no. 0GA09009153 dt. 8th February 2009 and invoide dated 10 February 2009. The contracted colour of the shoes were not delivered and reason cited was non availability of the items. The consignment was returned to the vendor as discussed with them at their new delhi office. The receipt of the returned consigment was confirmed by the staff. The new pair of shoe was to to be sent with in a fortnight of receipt of goods, Two months have elpased there is no word from the company. seek redressal.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I booked an order vide order no. OGA[protected] dated 23rd May'09 wherein a smart college kit was ordered. In the Invoice the model no of sunglasses is different(i.e., 6OCCU3696) whereas the sunglasses which was sent by you is 6OCCU3698. this is definitely a breach of contract and i feel duped. It is a settled law that if someone places an order for peas he cannot be obliged to accept beans.without opening the packet delivered to us, we could not have ascertained the dirty mischief played by you otherwise we would have rejected this delivery there n then.this is a glaring case of breach of condition under the sale of goods act entitling me to repudiate the contract and claim the refund along with damages.

I got the order after 20 days. However I ordered for 6OCCU3696 and got 6OCCU3698 sun glasses. Not sure whether they are originals also. :(

      I HAD ORDERED FOR ART D INOX DINNER SET FROM INDIA TODAY BOOK CLUB ON 23 /03/09. I HAD PAID THE ENTIRE AMOUNT(RS 5647/-) THRO MY CREDIT CARD AT THE TIME OF PLACING THE ORDER.( ORDER NO. 0GA[protected], ITBC NO[protected]

      HOWEVER WITH GREAT DIFFICULTY AND LOTS OF COMPLAINTS I GOT THE ORDER DELIVERED AFTER A PERIOD OF 2 MONTHS AT 10 AM TODAY.

      HOWEVER TO MY ASTONISHMENT ON UNPACKING THE PACKET I FOUND OUT THAT THE DINNER PLATES OF BONE CHINA AND THE RICE PLATES WERE BROKEN INTO SMALL PIECES.

      MY ATTEMPTS TO CONTACT INDIA TODAY BOOK CLUB ON THEIR CUSTOMER CARE NO. HAVE BEEN FUTILE AS THEY ARE NOT PICKING UP THE PHONE.

      THIS IS THE WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED BY ANY COMPANY!

      ON CONTACTING THE COURIER COMPANY I WAS TOLD BY THE EXECUTIVE THAT THE FAULT IS OF INDIA TODAY BOOK CLUB AS THEY MUST HAVE PACKED BROKEN GOODS.

      WHAT ACTION SHOULD I TAKE NOW THAT AFTER WAITING FOR A PERIOD OF 2 MONTHS WHEN I RECIEVED MY ORDER IT IS IN BROKEN CONDITION.

      I AM ALSO ATTACHING THE PHOTOGRAPHS OF THE BROKEN ITEMS ( I HAVE NOT EVEN REMOVED THEIR ORIGINAL PACKING) .

      I HOPE THAT APPROPRIATE ACTION IS TAKEN BY INDIA TODAY BOOK CLUB AND THE MATTER UIS RESORTED OUT EARLY. AND I HOPE THAT THEY ARE NOT GOING TO TAKE ANOTHER 6 MONTHS TO GIVE ME THE REPLACEMENTS

      Yes, not the same problem i have faced. But these people does not send my whole stuff not in single piece, they send me 31 pcs of dinner set at one time and anotger 24 pcs of cutluryat second time when i warned them to move towards consumer courts.

        I am a senior citizen. I paid Rs.2198/- on 21st.March 2009 through HDFC Debit Card to ITBC for a pair of Reebok Shoes, as I am having swelling heal, Doctor has advised me to use only this type of shoes.They were supposed to deliver within 7/10 days, but it is about 50 days, several Emails could not solve it. I am forwarding all these massages to you for your knowledge and for necessary steps

            Hi,

            In continuation to my earlier complaint dated 21 Apr 09 regarding non-receipt of "7 set of DVD's - Agatha Christie - vol.2", Instead of desired order, i had been sent 7 cd's of Music Today, I had send them back the same day by First flight courier, which has been received by one Ms. Anju on 24th April. My order no. is Telesales / 0GA[protected], ITBC membership No. - ITBC09989891. I wish to convey nothing has happened till date, infact i am trying to call both their numbers, but no resonse. Since last 4 days, i have been given assurance through emails that i will receive the desired ordered item.

            I request to send me the desired item or kindly return the money with interest at the earliest. It seems recession has eaten the credibility and reliablity of the "India today group", that's why they are collecting the money through these tactics, it is the most fraud and corrupt group headed by Aroon Poorie.

            I am thinking of putting this complaint through more vibrant media, so as others should not suffer

            AGATHA CHRISTIE: 7 DVD SET — FREE GIFT

            Dear Sir,
            I purchased a 7 DVD set of Aghatha Christie in Aug 09. As per your SMS my Order No was OGA[protected]. As per Blue Dart SMS my order No was ORA[protected]M. I have not received the free gift of REEBOK SUNGLASSES worth Rs 3999 on purchase of the the said item that has been promised in the SMS. Login ID is not clear i.e. it is not legible. Login password has not been received. How can i contact anybody. No body picks-up the phone mentioned in the letter received along with the items. Shall I take a legal course, Sir?

              I was called from your rep from the no.[protected] regarding holiday resorts. The person who called me explained about the product that for an amount of Rs.5943/-, I am eligible to take your resorts at several destinations in India and abroad for a period of 7 days and 8 nights and also the holidays can be split ie 3 days at one time and 4 days some other destination etc, . While making the payment thro credit card, he handed over the call to his manager lady. She processed the order and after payment was made, she told that there is no provision for taking the holidays in parts. When I demanded that it amounts to cheating by providing wrong information, the call was disconnected. and the above no has only outgoing but no incoming facility.
              I feel cheated for this wrong information and I need this should be rectified and the action should be intiated against those responsible.

                It is a pity to state that since the past one month, we have not been receiving India Today issues despite verbal conversations with the management and numerous telephonic complaints.
                Moreover since 6 months the person in charge for delivering it to us had refrained from taking our signatures.
                Despite valid membership period and the due amount being paid, we have been completely let down by the company and its staff
                I request you to look into the matter and take requisite action.

                  I have applied for two offer throgh the Internet. I first applied through net then I cotinuoulsy got call then I puched the details through cell phone keyboard coz transaction failed due to some technical problem.
                  1. first order (cust id [protected] rs 3199)contain shoes, track suit and bag. I recieved parcel incomplete withput shoes so a contact for enquiry and got response to send back the parcel.parcel was dispatched through AFL express way but that parcel is still held at Delhi no one recieved this parcel from india today book club.
                  2. Second query([protected] rs 1498) that I applied only once for sun glassses... and other that is same through net on 18 march and puched through cell phone so deduction made two times rs 1498 as my credit card bill are showing.
                  till date I havnt received parcel of this offer.

                  Please do help to come put from this problem.

                  Its my mistake I havnt thought or searched about this book club offer about truthness.

                    I subscribed to India Today my subscription no. being ITE434460.
                    I am supposed to get a duffle bag as gift within 8 to 10 weeks.
                    It is almost five months(since 25.11.2008, subscription letter date)
                    but I am yet to receive my gift.
                    I had sent three mail messages, but only thing I received was
                    polite assurances.
                    Please do the needful.

                    I subscribed to India Today magazine and my subscription number is ITE434460.
                    I received a subscription letter dated 25.11.2008 in which it was mentioned that a gift of "Reebok Duffle Bag" shall be reaching me within the next 8-10 weeks time. It is going to be almost twenty weeks, but I have not received my gift as yet. I sent three reminders by e-mail but only thing I received was polite assurances. Please help

                      I have paid in full the amount Rs. 1099 in cash for which I was supposed to have been given 8 Music CDs produced by Music India, one Reebok T-shirt and One Bag. I received the Cds on 27th March. I tried to log on to the website intimated by India Today group www.bookstoday.in/promos.htm, but could not. I tried calling teh land line number[protected] and was told the website is out of order and till the website is restored nothing can be done about the free gifts. I have been given a number but if the claim is not made within two months the claim is automatically invalidated. What can I do?

                      India Today Book Club — Non receipt of Encyclopedia CDs and Free Gifts

                      In response to an e-mail sent by ITBC, I had ordered encyclopedia CDs on 25th June 08 (Order Id: MITBC-WEB[protected]. The payment was immediately done using credit card. However, as of 13 Sep 08, I had not received any CD or free gifts excepts offers to buy more items and get more freebies. I contacted ITBC in August and I was ensured there was some problem but now you will receive CDs within a week. When I contacted them 15 days later, I was told CDs were out-of-stock and we have sent it on 24 Aug and even given me the consignment number. Again calling on 10 sep, I was told that CDs were dispatched on 5 Sep and consignment number was same as given before.
                      If I will not get the CDs (leave aside the freebies), I am going to take legal actions against ITBC.
                      Its really a shame on such a brand name like "India Today". This is what INDIA had become TODAY.

                      Thereafter I got a phone call from ITBC offering 20 devotional CD's @Rs.2249. In return they have informed the following freebies worth Rs.14000/- would be provided alogwith the CD's :

                      Unfortunately after trying several times it is not being logged and shows error in the identification number.

                      ITBC have failed in their commitments and have failed to deliver the freebies and now are giving excuse of logging on their sites for claiming the gifts. It is misleading and people are fooled after they have made the payment.

                      On 12 Feb. 09, I received a call from India today Book club saying that my entry for India today book club is chosen as final entry to receive some prize money of 50000 Rs plus some free gift vouchers of about Rs. 14000 including some Air Travel package. ( I was sending these entries for this lucky draw type prize from India today book club for sweepstakes of Rs. 2400000 from about last six months or so )

                      And to claim the free gift I have to pay only 400 Rs. ( for what I don’t know?) and I was asked to pay it by Credit Card only. So I told my credit card no. and to enter my CVV no. I was transferred to some other automated system. After that I was given the booking ID no.[protected] and I was told that I will receive this gift within 2 or 3 weeks.

                      But that day I received a message from my credit card bank that I have made a transaction of Rs. 2598 with Living Media. ( I was told 400 Rs. By the person from india today book club )

                      When I am trying to claim my free gifts on this link it is giving me message that I have made incorrect entries.

                      When I called the customer care number on 26 Feb. 09, I was put on hold for about 8 min., but my call was not connected to any person to talk for assistance to claim the free gifts.



                      So please assist me in this matter.



                      Is it the way India Today Book Club is earning money by betraying the customers by telling them something else and sending something else that has not been ordered at all and asking for some small amount and deducting an amount much more greater than it from the credit card?

                      India Today Book Club — Non receipt of CD & Free Gift - Money already paid

                      I had ordered TWO sets of Element audio CDs on Dec 31st, 2008 vide order number OGA[protected]. The costing of each set was Rs 1499 including delivery charges. The payment against the order was made through my credit card. The total amount for TWO sets was Rs 2998 which has already been paid to the Credit Card company.

                      The order for only ONE set was processed and delivered to me on around Jan 10th vide invoice number ORA[protected]. On receipt of only ONE set, I immediately called the India Today Book Club, and they assured me to send the second set at the earliest. I made numerous calls and everytime I was assured that the second set would be sent to my address. Again, I made the call today, and I was told that the system is not working and I was asked to call again tomorrow. I

                      t is been almost 2 months that I paid India Today the full amount, and have been following up but no one has taken any complaint or feedback seriously. I know many other people in my office who are facing the same issue. Not sure if it is a racket run by India Today to resolve their liquidity problem during this recession time.

                      Apart from the non receipt of CDs, I have following other points to highlight :

                      1. The condition of CD & free gift is pathetic. I was planning to give one set to my friend who lives overseas but now looking at the condition of the CDs, I am reluctant to do so.

                      2. The quality of Customer Service staff is so bad that they don't know what they are checking and responding.

                      3. Claiming of free gift is so cumbersome that consumer might think of just leaving it.

                      I would request the authorities to look into my complaint and improve the quality of product offered & customer service. I have lot of faith on India Today (have been a regular subscriber of India Today magazine and Mail Today), and don't want to loose that trust & faith due to this transaction.

                      Two month ago i have book one order in India Today Book Club through Internet, actually i receives the mail from them as a free gift but for that i have to pay Rs 2599/ amount.

                      I have paid the money through my icici credit card, but still on date i didnt receive that order. Moreover i had called many times to customer care but as per them i have not paid the money but when i receive the call from their verification department, they told i have paid the money & very soon i will get my order.This show the communication gap/loop hole in the departments.

                      I have receive my icici credit card statement, in which it is reflecting that i have paid the money to India Today Book Club.

                      This process is repeating from last two month, so many times i have intimate them but vain.

                      Now i do not want that order but i want my money back, so kindly help me for the same and tell me the procedure.

                      India Today Book Club — AFTER MAKING PAYMENT OF RS.2599/-, DELIVERY OF GOODS HAS NOT BEEN MADE

                      I had given an order through website vide order No.OGA[protected] and also swap the credit card. The details of the order are given below:-

                      1. 20 pack of CD
                      2. Gift voucher of Rs.5, 000/-
                      3. Air-ticket of Rs.7, 000/-
                      4. Reebok Shoes
                      5. Surprise Gift i.e. Wallet

                      The aforesaid order was made during the month of November, 2008. But when I received the statement of credit card, I surprised to see that the card was not swaped as the payment was not mentioned in the card. I immediately contacted over telephone No.40502424 to know the status of my order. They have confirmed that the aforesaid items will be delivered to you within 15 days time and payment may be made by cash. But after repeated requests, I have not received the items. They had also given the consignment No.[protected] of T&T Transporter. When I visited the site of T&T Transpoters, it has been found that the iterms were shiped on 4th December, 2008 but the same was undelivered and returned to the orgin on 23rd December, 2008. It is not understood why the article was shown as undelivered even it was not received to my office address.

                      HOWEVER, AGAIN I CONTACTED AND THEY HAVE REQUESTED TO FIRST PAY THE AMOUNT THAN IT WILL BE DELIVERED. ACCORDINGLY, ON 9TH FEBRUARY, 2009, MY LINE WAS CONNECTED TO THE CONCERNED DEPARTMENT AND ACCORDINGLY I HAD MADE THE PAYMENT THROUGH CREDIT CARD. I WAS GIVEN THE BOOKING ID NO.[protected] AND CODE NO.OGA[protected]. BUT STILL I HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE ITEMS.

                      TODAY, WHEN I RECEIVED MY CREDIT CARD BILL, I NOTED THAT PAYMENT HAS BEEN SHOWN IN MY BILL OF RS.2599/- BUT TILL DATE I HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE ITEMS. I AGAIN CONTACTED OVER PHON NO.40502424 AND HAD TALK WITH MR ANKIT. HE CHEKED THE RECORD AND FOUND THAT THEY HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE PAYMENT. I SUPRISED TO SEE AFTER A MONTH, THE RECORD WAS NOT UPDATED EVEN I HAD MADE THE PAYMENT ON 9TH FEBRUARY, 2009. SCAN COPY OF MY CREDIT CARD BILL IS ATTACHED HEREWITH WITH A REQUEST TO EXPEDITE THE ORDER AS I MADE IN THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER AND AGAIN 9TH FEBRUARY, 2009.

                      I wanted to utilise the holiday package before April 20, 2009 which seems impossible now .Next period avalable under the scheme is during winter which may not suit me.

                            I received special offer as a customer of IRCTC for Pair of shoes, Track suit, T Shirt, Towel and cary bag at a discounted price of Rs.3, 199/- and made payment through credit card and was given one booking ID No.[protected] on 08.03.09. While collecting the payment I was told that the the consignment will be delivered by the end of March'09 but the consignment is yet to reach me at Bhubaneswar. Subsequently, I have made several calls to their customer care but every time the same reply is coming that the consignment will reach by the next week. Even, once they have given me one consignment note no. [protected] of Blue Dart Courier. But on cross checking the same consignment note no with the Blue Dart it came out to be a incorrect consignment note no. I am really doubtful about the intention and nature of the company and IRCTC should also take sufficinet precaution while forwarding offers of such foul playing companies in future.

                              I have submitted an order online in www.indiatodaybookclub.com. I have been notified during the payment process as my credit card hasn't been accepted and requested for another credit card. I have then presented another credit card and the payment was successful. I did receive the product that I have ordered but when I looked at my credit card statements I could see that both the credit cards have been debited for the same order. I have written emails and called then personally to look after this error and requested to credit back the excess amount that has been debited fromone of the credit cards. I have also presented the copies of my credit card statements. No action has been taken and I have paid twice for one order. The value of the order is Rs 3199.00.

                              Had ordered for Reebok set on 15th January and have not recieved till 26th April. Everytime we called to check the status, we were told that it would take 6 to 7 days. India today book club is completely irresponsible. The way the customer care speaks to you is ridiculous. Someone need to teach them client servicing..Not sure where to go to.

                              I received a call from your office on the 15th of September 2010 telling me that I have been picked for some offers. I was told that a sum of Rs.15900/- should be paid by me after 45 days and if I am satisfied with the products that are sent to me. I was asked to provide me my credit card number, which I did. I regret to inform you that you office tells something and does something. Not only they debited my card the same day with Rs.15998/- but also another amount Rs.15798/-. I was shocked to see two debits in my account statement. I was telling them to put everything on mail, which they have not done so far and tell you some thing they spoke to me for about 20 minutes and how do you expect anyone to remember everything they said, that is the reason I asked her to put it on mail. I request you to kindly look into the matter and credit my account with the amounts debited on my credit card. I request you to respond immediately by return mail.

I was informed that goods will be espatched with in 10-15 days. But till date I have not received the goods. They assured me of the receipt of product in next few working days. But still now I have not received the same.                                 I purchased a kodak 10 MP digital camera from India today on June 24th 2009 and before that I have a confirmation from them that I can receive it by July 5th as I told them that I will be moving to Hyderabad after July 5th.But I didnt recieved it still and I called them so many times which costs me some 300 rupees for talking to india today people for this product and they are saying different kind of stories everytime like this.(on July 10th when I called and updated my new Hyderabad address and they told me that it went to bangalore address and they have to redispatch it and I can recieve it by July 20th .But when I called on July 20th they said still its not dispatched because of some technical problem in their systems and confirmed me that I can recieve it by July 27th and when I called on July 27th the same story that I can recieve it by August 7th ...like so)..and now it is August 26th things lik they sent my product to some one else and there is stock for my product.but I still didnt recieved it and Today when I called them, some guy is saying the and I am gonna file a case on these people in consumer court...

                                While placing the order I had specifically requested for a sipper (and not a cap) as I was paying by credit card and the same was assured to me.
                                I have recd the package today. But to my horror I find that the Sipper is not enclosed and not only that, the Reebok Sunglasses are also not in the package. You r aware that the sunglasses are the most expensive item in the offer, and the same have not been found enclosed.
                                All afternoon and evening I have been trying to contact your 'Customer care' no[protected], which I'm sure is a misnomer because not once was I able to get through to speak to anyone, inspite of listening to a ticker tape telling me my call was important to you!!! In resignation I turned to the ordering no on which I had placed my order only to be told to contact customer care, which in anycase was not responding. I requested the lady at the other end to lodge a complaint that customer care was not responding.

                                This is certainly not expected of a reputed company like yours. It is requested that the deficiencies in the package be made good at the earliest.

                                I keep getting promotional messages(e.g- Get 54% offon neck tie from Satya Paul) at late hours. At times I have received these messages at 1 30 am. This is like harrasment when late in the night you receive a message and you think it might be something urgent/ important when it is just a promotional message.

                                I too had ordered a reebok kit on 28/02/2009 via telephone and paid the amount Rs 3199/- by credit card. However, the size that I had ordered for shoes was 9 and for the track suit was L but I have received the wrong sizes. The shoe size I physically got was 6 and track suit is S. The complaint no. given lays unanswered. Please exchange it or give me other options as soon as possible.
                                Same nuisance, even after unsubscribing these messags from the india today promotional site this continues.

                                Also now a days i get calls sayting you are esteemed customer and give more offer in office/night hours disturbing a lot. They cut the phone call later after getting hard talks form me.

                                Even the mobile service provider is not able to help in this regard.

                                India Today is a big fraud co..Either they are not shipping the goods or shipping faque brand & have cheated thousands of consumers/customers.It seems that there is no aurhority, court of law & law enforcing agency who could initiate & take any action against this MEDIA MAFIA.                                   I do not know why we educated people get trapped by these reputed companies like India today
                                  I received a email from pay Rs 799 for 16 cds of sur and taal and also get a benetton sunglass free and also pay Rs 300 as handlng charges. I paid and received VPP. it was nicely packed Persuming that sunglass must be inside I received VPP but when I opened it sunglass was not there. I complained go Mr Iftiaq on toll free number. he asked me to pay Rs 500 more as handling charges for sunglass. I told him that it was free and it should have been despatched alognwith CDs. but he asked me to complaint through email. I sent complaint but no reply received.

                                  I India Today is a big CHEATER they are not telling any hidden cost, otherwise people would not get into their trap. I paid money only for a reputed sunglasses. I have nothing to do with CDs.

                                  I shall move to Consumer Court once I get a reply from them

                                  It is time some lawyer among you take Indiatoday to court. They are big cheaters. When they know how to get the money and send the parcels they should also automatically send the gifts. Why they should be claimed through a process only a superman can find out. Spending 2 hours on the net going though various sites I am not able to get to them.

                                  Though I have purchased so many books, most of them duplicate beacuse of their offer, I have never even once have seen their invisible free gifts.

                                  I am not surprised reading complaints for indiatoday. I am going to file a case in consumer court against them. I advise people not pay in advance for any item from any online shopping merchants. I also faced hard time with indiatoday. I made an order Reebok kit. They deducted Rs.3198 on the same day when they took order, but order was delivered after one month and to my surprise Reebok track suit was missing from the parcel. I returned that to the same courier man. On that day day itself i made a request for refund with them. They took around two months to tell me the shocking news that the order was already delivered and they could not make refund to me. I described everything but they refuse to accept anything. It made me believe that really they are making fool out of people. Now i am planning to file a case in consumer court. I will make them pay for their deeds. I request all who has been cheated by them to make forum on internet and fight cases in cases in consumer court against them.

                                  I totally agree with you. India today is a cheat! I received an offer e-mail which stated that on purchasing a 16 CD pack of 'SUR SAAZ AUR TAAL' there will be Benetton sunglasses for free worth Rs. 3999/-. I sent the relevant DD with necessary documents such as the copy of the offer e-mail etc and after a few days received the CD pack but without the sunglasses. When I contacted India today, I was told that I would need to send another DD of Rs. 499/- as courier and handling charges for the 'free' sunglasses. I agreed and sent the DD of Rs. 499/- which I thought would still be a good offer for the exclusive Benetton sunglasses.

                                  I was little more lucky than you all that I received the sunglasses, not one but two!!! But to my surprise, both of them are duplicate sunglasses and definately not original benetton sunglasses (verified at benetton stores). They are duplicate sunglasses of very poor quality and it will definately affect any persons eyesight i[censored]sed them.

                                  I have all the necessary e-mails sent and received between us as proof and I have also preserved the sunglasses along with the copy of the bill/invoice which I received along with the sunglasses. I usually dont get lured with such offers received on e-mails but I thought India today would be reputed and would not be such ! I am willing to sue them as I have proof and I dont want other people to fall in their trap.

I and my neighbour both have ordered and we received the package at the same time.The pair was cool and am wearing it ever since.The reason I'm here's that I've received another mail saying I can get the same pair of sunglasses for only Rs.599/- now... what the hell??...then why'd I pay 1500 earlier ...???...neway the sunglasses are pretty fine so no qualms...and also I can order another pair and pay by "CASH ON DELIVERY"(COD) so maybe I'll take one for my brother...should see... only thing I'm confused about is...They are cool and all but...ARE THEY REALLY BENETTON??????...

                                    i have ordered my gift on 15 feb, & made a payment by credit card of Rs. 2800. now its more than 2 months we have not received the order. After 2 weeks they have told me that i have not placed any order and they want my credit cared statement. i mailed me statement more than 3 times but even then there were no response. Then they booked my order again on 22 march and promised to deliver my order within 7 days. now its more then 15 days, everybody have a same statement that ull receive your order within this week. every time they say same line & same word. i had a word with Azim & Jitender Floor Supervisor & lots of Executive everybody have same words to say. thay have told me to mail the problem on there email-id and they told me that ill get response within 24 hrs. but now lots of 24 hrs are gone there is no response.

                                    I dont know when ill get my order, but this mail gonna help other people to save there money & time

                                      I have participated draw for spicejet customers. I have paid Rs. 780 in favor of living media in on 13 march 08. With my credit card. Till date I have not received any information when my hindi india today subscription will start. it is already more then one and a half month. as well as their is no information regarding lucky draw. If you click on Option B for Diamond jewellery, It's selecting Holiday package only. Even in that Holiday package also lots of conditions. We can't take vacation on bank holidays or Week ends. Even there are some good places like Lonavla, mahabalishwar, Ganapatiphule, Daman etc from there we can't choose any destinations. then there are some exception days. No working executive take off and come for a Holiday during week days. it's an act of pure cheating. even the Encyclopedia CD's are also not up to the mARK. IT doesn't worth for the money we have paid. it's an act of cheating and betraying the consumer faith.

                                      The SMS nuisance of India Today to harrass people is most unbecoming of a business house of repute.
                                      On 20-03-09 at 11-21 am (from their phone no.[protected]) one representing India Tdy book club called me in my mobile at Kolkata and proposed book club membership offers.He also informed that my cell no, email id etc is there in the book club database.
                                      I pointed to him that I get emails on various offers from India today through irctc. So he needn't disturb me by calling me over phone. He was also enquiring, about my credit card payment etc which is most unsolicited. I told him instead of killing time he shall send emails detailing offers of India Today.
                                      Unfortunately he resorted to sending me SMS from 04:48pm that very day from TM-India Tdy/TA-India Tdy ( Message Center [protected]/[protected]). Same message he sends several times not only wasting India Today's money and time but also annoying the receiver.
                                      Some times I purchase from them, but that unworthy rpresentative has made me to give stringent No No to any of their offer.
                                      All consumers may consider to take such action to fight SMS nusances and also let every body know this ill business campaign by publishing their grievances in various forums..

In their database they have my number listed with the name of "Sajida Sultana" and I keep getting unneccary SMSes very often. At present I have 21 messages in less than three months even after I deleted almost the same number of them. I am ready to pay a lawyer to sue them, my frustation has gone to that stage. I dont know how they got my number but if someone can tell me how to make their life miserable and file a suit against them, I am more than ready if they dont remove my number form their database. Its the most pathetic company I have seen, filled with cheap customer service reps and useless managers, looks like only the sms sending server is working in that company. Only profanity comes to my mouth when I think of that company but I am trying hard to control it to respect this complaint board. Please, Please, please help me getting this leeches off my skin.

                                      India Today — Non delivery of issues of Good House Keeping

                                      Every other month, I don't receive Good House Keeping issues in Vadodara. This has been happening over the since October 08. My written complaints have gone unanswered. Finally I called the call center, they promised strict action. Of course nothing happened. The call center employees - Rajinder, Javed and others have been taught only to lie.

                                      Finally I have decided to cancel my subscription. This is turning out to be another ordeal. As advised I have sent an email, which has been unanswered for a week.

                                      I want to register the complain against India today. I am receiving ads on daily basis from India Today. It says about some offer.                                       India Today — Number of spam SMS everyday

                                      I have been recieving these spam SMSs from TA-India Tdy (India Today) for almost an year now though I never registered for any kind of offers or promotions for them. They send me atleast 4-5 such kind of SMSs daily on my cell phone advertising their number of offers which I am not at all interested in, without giving me any option to unsubscribe. These SMSs are disturbing especially while conducting surgeries, and other medical procedures at my work place. So necessary action against the offender/s will be truely appreciated.

                                      I have talked to atleast 20 persons from India Today who have assured me that they will remove my number from their database. I keep getting unneccary SMSes very often. At present I have 60 messages in less than three months even after I deleted almost the same number of them. I am ready to pay a lawyer to sue them, my frustation has gone to that stage. I dont know how they got my number but if someone can tell me how to make their life miserable and file a suit against them, I am more than ready if they dont remove my number form their database. Its the most pathetic company I have seen, filled with cheap customer service reps and useless managers, looks like only the sms sending server is working in that company. Only profanity comes to my mouth when I think of that company but I am trying hard to control it to respect this complaint board. Please, Please, please help me getting this leeches off my skin.

                                      India Today Book Club — Unwanted Messages

                                      I do not ever remember subscribing or becoming a member of the India Today Book Club, but everyday I receive unwanted and irritating messages on my mobile from them asking me to purchase unwanted things that are really not wanted by the general public. Maybe these people really have nothing better to do but waste time with these things. I really wonder how these people got my mobile number or does service providers like Airtel and others give away the customers numbers.
                                      Pl stop this harrassment from Mr Gopal in Yr company. He has no qualms in waking up people midniight. I want this to be stopped right now. Enough is all. Who is this gentleman and what are the incentives he is getting from harrassing people? He speaks with a stutter and is not able to speak English. He sound like a south Indian.

This is very annoying, getting the same message again and again. This is nothing more than mental harassment. I would like to register a complaint against the service and extol them to stop the same.

                                      Getting too much on nerves is bad for business...At least this truth should be known to the mindless people running the show over at indiatimes.
