Hi,

I have used Indian Gas connection for long. After my return from overseas I contacted the gas agencies asking for my connection number as I lost that. Surprising! they cannot trace my connection in their system. I have provide them my complete details along with Regulator details.
There is no proper helpdesk to report it nor there is any mechanism to escalate the issue.
Very poor processes. The service is not world-class. Pathetic is the word I would like to use.

I'll be glad if this complaint can be referred to the Indian Gas Officials and help them re-look at
their processes. Ofcourse I'll be glad if my issues can alos be looked into.

    DEAR SIR,

    I HAVE BEEN A VICTIM OF INDIAN OIL LPG DISTRIBUTOR AT FARIDABAD, M/S RAINBOW GAS AGENCY, SECTOR 28- FARDABAD.
    I HAD BOOKED THE GAS ON 3RD OF JANUARY, 2008 WTH THE LADY WHO RECEIVED THE PHONE AND WAS TOLD THAT SINCE THERE IS A SHORTAGE IN SUPPLIES, WE WLL BE RECEIVING OUR CYLENDER WITHIN A WEEK.

    AFTER ABOUT TEN DAYS i.e ON 13TH JAN, I WAS TOLD THAT THE BOOKING WAS MADE ONLY ON 11TH JAN AS PER THE ORDERS OF IOC AND IT IS FURTHER GOING TO TAKE AT LEAST ONE WEEK TO GET THE GAS DELIVERED TO US.

    LATER ON, ON SPEAKING TO THE OWNER OF THE AGENCY MR. HEM SINGH RANA, HE ASSURED ME THAT THE GAS WILL BE DELIVERED THE NEXT DAY, POSITIVELY.

    BUT AFTER WAITING TILL TODAY I TRIED TO CALL HIM AGAIN BUT HIS PHONE HAS BEEN SWITCHED OFF. AND THE STAFF ON DUTY INSIST THAT SINCE THERE IS ACUTE SHORTAGE OF GAS, THEY ARE HELPLESS AND CANNOT DELIVER THE GAS UNTILL THE SUPPLY COMES.

    BUT AT THE SAME TIME ONE CAN SEE THEM SUPPLYING FREELY TO DHABA WALAS AND THE PEOPLE WHO RUN THER VEHICLES ON LPG, AT SOME EXTRA COST.

    IF YOU DEPUTE SOME PERSON TO CHECK THE MENACE WITHOUT THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE DISTRBUTOR, YOU WILL SEE FOR YOURSELF HOW EACH DAY PEOPLE ARE FIGHTING WITH THE STAFF OF THE AGENCY. THIS HAS BECOME THE ROUTINE AT THE HANDS OF THE STAFF OF THE DISTRIBUTOR.

    I URGE YOU TO PLEASE TAKE THE APPROPRIATE ACTION AND LET THE PEOPLE NOT SUFFER ANY FURTHER AT THE HANDS OF YOUR ESTEEMED DISTRIBUTORS.

    I HOPE MY PLEA IS HEARD AND ACTION WILL BE TAKEN AT THE EARLIEST.

    Respected Sir,
    I'm an ordinary customer of indane gas from the agency named as Mata Sheetla Gas Service Sector-14, old delhi road, gurgaon. I have booked my gas no. after 22 days as per your norms and it has been 11 days since booking.
    I haven't received my gas yet.
    Please do something regarding this matter as it effect our daily activities.

      Indane Gas Service — no delivery of cylinders

      hi,
      i m harsh rajpal from agra and i want to compalis about the taj gas service of agra.whenever i want to get a cylinder booked they dont pick up the phone.after trying for about 10-15 days they pick the phone and when i ask them why they were nt picking the phone they always say that they r bored of doing this due to this we r nt able to get the delievery of our cylinders.kindly take note of this and plz do somethng regarding this.

      Indane Gas Cylinder — Bad Service

      Dear Sir,

      My Name is Devi Seenuvasan and my consumer No.21506 belongs to SUN GAS AGENCEY, Selvapuram, Coimbatore.

      I booked the cylinder on 12.6.2010, but till today they have not supplied the refilled cylinder. When I made a call on12th they said it will take another 13days time to supply the cylinder. Whener i make a call they will tell "we will supply today". But today i personally walked to their agency to enquire the same again the same reply, you will receive today. Since i have 2 cylinders due to their delay in supply my both cylinder is empty now.

      This is not only happened for me but also to other consumers in SUN Gas Agencies.

      Please take necessary actions at the earliest.

        I am 100% sure that action will be taken if not then I will also give you email ids of Ministry of Public Grievance and Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas officials. Please inform me through email about the result.

        But be prepare before making complain, the management of Seba Fuel will visit your house to force you to withdraw the complain. But be strict and do not withdraw the complain because they cannot do anything to you.

          Sir we are using the indane gas connection. my connection 3849.
          now the delar never supply connection on time, that is once we book for cylinder then we don't supply till 21 days and also never book before 21days after supply it means he took 42 days for 1 supply and once book we have to go for second complain after 8 days & from 8 days he counts 21 days. to our surprise none of his staff fills or sign in the hand book provided by the company nor he signs and put date.
          secondly on his computor record he shows delivery date after 6 days, which is never correct. one can cross check it.
          moreover when he can't supply in dahod city only then why he sells truck lot in jhalod. i.e 30 kms away.
          we request the company either ask him to first regularise in local city and then go in other city by such way short supply is created which is wrong.
          we request the company either appoint second delear also when one cannot fullfill the requirements due to over work.

            Hi,

            This is Balpreet Singh from Pune. My Indane gas dealer is 'RadhaKrishna Indane'. My consumer number is RK8975, SV No=372149.
            I have only one cylinder. The dealer promised us, that who have been given single connection, will get a new order in one day. Now I have booked my new order 3 days back, still not received it. Both of the family members are working, dealer is not ready to give us the cylinder before 10:00 am ant not after 6 pm. We have only sunday off. Its been 4 days now, we are sitting without home made food. Daily we have been ordering from a restaurant. we have one year old kid, who is eating restaurant idlis and milk.

            I have registered for second cylinder on 16/07/07, but not got it till yet. It was told by the dealer that I will get the second cylinder after 4 to 5 months. Its been 8 months now. Is this the kind of service you are providing?

            Indane LPG — Bad customer service

            Hello,

            I have the LPG connection from the following branch of Indane LPG service
            M/S Rashmi,
            Indane Gas distributor
            23/4, Nayandahalli, Mysore Road,
            Bangalore 560 039.

            1. The GAS booking service system is very bad. They 3 phone lines to call up and book, but always says busy.
            2. Every month i have to spend some 4-5 hours sometime whole day, to keep trying all the number and book the same.
            3. It is very pathetic, If go and check at the Distributor, i get message like " Sir call volumne is too much we cannot help"
            4. It is better the company comes out with better ways for booking GAS, to handle high volume of customers. like SMS, emailing options apart from the regular telephone booking.

            Pls look into the issue of improving the services

              Indane Gas — non availability of gas connection

              I am a resident of #50, Ward No-5, Prem Nagar, Morinda, Disst-Ropar, Punjab.I had applied for gas connection three months back but till date i have not recieved the connection.
              The agency owners are S.Hamraj Singh and Ravinder Kumar.
              Each time i go to inquire they send me back on one or other pretext, though the connections are given to many other with extra payments . Kindly look into the matter as soon as possible as its really hard to run the house on borrowed Gas.

                I am a Indane Gas Consumer and our dealer is K-2 International in Sarita Vihar. (Consumer Number 35720)
                1. They keep all the phones busy and if at all any phone rings they dont pick up
                2. They always say that there is a demand for Gas Cylinder
                3. How come there is a demand on such a level - all consumers have numbers and their approximate consumption date is also known, if cylinders are not black marketed then how come a sudden surge and demand for cylinders
                4. Further more, they always send in cylinders after removing a partial amount of LPG i believe because the cylinders get emptied very soon - that is in 19 days
                5. I would like to launch a formal complaint against this act of giving partially filled cylinders to Indane and it would be nice if Indane can make a spot visit to check - I am willing to take a day's leave for this purpose
                6. Can anyone tell me what is to be done on this issue ?

                I am an indane gas customer with indane gas in ATTUR, for last 8 years. recently i meet problem with delivery of cylinder.                 Our Consumer No. is 40836. and sub agent name is "Pappu". Pappu is not proper delivered the gas Cylinder Every time told that your booking number is awaited. Five days is normal situation to delivered the Cylinder. Re fling shortage is normal condition of sub agent pappu.can anyone tell me what is to be done on this situation. Kindly help me and guide to sub agent to maintain the shortage and delivered gas Cylinder.

                I am in Lucknow and have raised a similar complaint on the Indian Oil website. They are delivering cylsinders which are short of gas and have faulty weighing balances. The delivery person infact said the cylinder was delivered however it was never delivered to me :(

                  I stay in Sector 37 Faridabad and have Indane gas connection regd. with M/s Mohan & Mohan Gas Agency, Ashoka Enclave Faridabad. My consumer connection no. is 346. It is a regular feature that they don't deliver the gas cylinders timely and encourage black marketing. When we want to contact all their phones are sounding continuosly ( since they keep them off-hook). I don't know whether this complaint will reach the concerned ministry or not !! But if it reaches , they they should involve some subscriber from the locality to cross-check such irregularities. Their phone nos. are[protected], 2272112

                  Sir,
                  We, the inhabitants of suburb Mullanpur Garibdass, submit as under:-
                  1. That our village Mullanpur Garibdass, which is situated at a distance of hardly 3 kilometers from Chandigarh, inhabits the population of around 12000 people. Of late, every family is solely dependent on Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) for its cooking needs. We wish to highlight to your goodself the very genuine grievance and hardship being faced by us, that there is no LPG agency or Godown of the Indian Oil Corporation in the near vicinity of Mullanpur Garibdass.

                  2. That the only Gas Agency through which LPG cylinders are supplied in our town, viz. Deep Indane Service, Majri, District Mohali, is situated at a distance of about 12-14 kilometers. There is no door-to-door service for supplying cylinders in our town. The persons running the said agency dictate their own terms for supplying LPG cylinders to the poor inhabitants of the town and sometime charge more price than the fixed by the corporation. There are no fixed working hours of the said agency. The persons running the agency do whatever they like and they unnecessarily harass and humiliate the poor inhabitants of our town. The employees deputed for supplying the cylinders don’t have any etiquette/ manner how to communicate with the customers and they always used such a rough language to the customers. Moreover, the telephone/mobile numbers installed at the agency for gas booking are always out of order. As such, in this computer-age also, one has to waste his/her entire day, sometimes more

                  than one day or two, to get an LPG cylinder refilled from the aforesaid agency, which is very humiliating and embarrassing too.

                  When I observed the gas leakage in two cylinders, it was Sunday i.e. 23.11.2008, Monday was off in Panchkula. We put the cylinder in open balcony and till Tuesday 25.11.2008 it was empty.
                  On Tuesday, we put a complaint to Satyam Gas Agency in the morning about 10.15 a.m. on 25.11.2008. On several reminders and telephonic request, the delivery man attended at 5.30 pm and told that we checked the leakage of gas by putting water on the knob by which the rubber gest affected hence the gas leakage. We could not understand when the gas is leaking from the knob. What was the procedure to check the gas.

                  Ours one cylinder has already been emptied and the other is causing hazard due to leakage. Now again on request, the Gas agency is not heeding our problem.

                  You are therefore, requested to take immediate action against this gas agency and replace our both the cylinders, as these have been emptied due to your fault.

                      After booking of Domestic gas cylinder we are not recipient of sylinder after 30 - 45 day even too many reminder aftaer 21 days from booking.

                        I had a problem in booking my LPG cylinder with the agent TUCS at alandur area. Actually the delivery of gas cyclinder is 30 days but when we call after a month that is 30 days later for booking they says that please call after 5 days then we try to call them after 5 days one more two days each and every month they use to say the same thing, while booking eachtime we are facing the same problem and even we are spending nearly half a day to to get their number they simply chating in the phone not responding correctly to the customer over phone and in personal. we get the experience direct when we approched them they just selling the gas in black and earning a lot., Hence we request you to kindly take steps against TUCS Alandur area whose Phone Nos.23453418. Its hard to believe that such a big company has such an irresponsible in service...

                        I Faced the same problem with TUCS alandur gas .
                        Beeing a good and big company why they irresponce.
                        I am also facing a similar problem from KK nagar branch of TUCS. Phone always gives a wrong message saying "Out of Service". Afte 2 to 3 days of trails, if you talk to some one by chance then the answer is " Load is not there". This is the kind of service for past 4 year from the KK nagar Branch. Can some one please help resolving this.

                        TUCS Personnel in Alandur is not very responsive while attending customers. I have booked a gas connection during november and still havent got any communication pertaining to the request. When I have approached directly they have asked me do the following process due to lack of stock.

                        a) I should approach local post office to get a cover along with stamp and registration card.
                        b) I have to handover the same to the TUCS inturn they will fill and ask me to post.
                        c) After getting the acknowledgement I should approach Alandur court to get the NOC agreement.
                        d) Further process will be described based on the completion of above tasks.

                        There is no any escalation board or information kept in the office.

                        No we have plan to approach some other agency to help us for the connectivity.

                        Since we are corporate personnel unable to contact the consumer court directly to resolve the issue.

                        TUCS is another insensitive institution towards complaint from customers. TUCS Tiruvanmiyur the Phone is always placed off hook so that they are not disturbed. If you ask the employees group themselves and talk on top of their voice and shout and insult. Complaint has been sent to IOC 3.5.2011 with photograph of Tel off-Hook and audio clip of the rogue employees. Hope this will help them to crack the whip. Unless punitive action is initiated against these rogues, the institution will not survive.
                        I a facing problem in booking the gas. Leave alone the delay in delivery after completing successfully booking.Always the phone is not functioning. The other number given is hooked to fax. This is the state of affair with Thiruvanmiyur Branch. Yesterday I could get somebody answering when I have dialled 23453436 some body ansered and rudely replied that all the phones are working. and asked me my consumer Number . when I said my number is 3419 he asked my name. When I told him my name is P.R.Srinivasan he replied that thiis number belongs to one Vijayalakshmi in the system I have not changed my name to Vijayalakshmi and I am getting gas for the pst ten years in the same address. Please let me know how I have to proceed further. Know if I go to Tiruvanmiyur Branch I will not get a proper reply. Few mails received at your end sent by others about the sorry state of affairs of this branch can be visualised. Please act fast to remedy the situation.

                        My registration at TUCS Kuppaih Chetty Street, West Mambalam is 6425. We are using Indane ever
                        since Aug 1970.

                        The services rendered by TUCS is very good, but the regn for a refill through IVRS has
                        become a worried one.

                        This is so because the TUCS at the above outlet has one more customer with the same Regn No. 6425.

                        At times we get a message that our requirement has been registered with a no even though we had
                        not made sent any message for refill. For instance, we got a message thus on 7th Dec 2012 "Booking for consumer no 7425 is registered and the booking ref no is 279496". And surprisingly, another message on
                        12th Dec 12 as "against your refill booking 279496 cash memo has been generated, cylinder will be delivered shortly".

                        We have not called for any refill during the week or fortnight.

                        Our new worry is how to come out of this problem when we are to book our refill for ourselves.
                        And what will be your analysis of our annual consumption since there is a cap for no of refills for a year.

                          Usha Indane gas agency at kharagpur, west bengal is supplying expired gas cylinders. The consumers are at risk of bursting of cylinders. It is found that my cousin's gas cylinder received this month has the expiry date C-08. I complained the dealer to replace the same with some long expiry date. But they did not replace and comment that the cylinders are sent as it is i.e with expiry date by the company.

Since, then I am using the single cylinder gas connection and want to convert it into double cylinder gas connection because here after booking the cylinder the supplier delivers the cylinder after 16-20 days. During this period my family have to depend upon hotel for the food. But, every time I went to my service provider for the double cylinder connection, they tell me that now we are not giving the new cylinder come next month.                               I deal with M/s city gas agency, Guwahati, Assam, who is the distributor of my area. My consumer no. is 03614. I booked lpg cylinder for home delivery on 12.5.09 being serial No.2696. Today is 14.5.09.I am not getting my cylinder after expiry of 8 days also. Today on enquiry with the agency they have informed me that it will take another 7/10 days time to reach my cylinder. During last three months also there was inordinate delay in supply of cylinder causing serious inconvenience to my family. How long one cylinder can be used. ?. Hardly 30 days for a regular user family. Due to short supply or malpractices the situation arises. Please attend my complaint early.

                              IOC Domestic LPG Gas — More Cylinder cost and Delay for Delivery

                              I am IOC Domestic LPG gas user My consumer No. 11221, the Indane Gas Agency Name is MARIKAMBA GAS AGENCIES, MARUTHI EXTENSION, MALUR, KARNATAKA. The agency is demanding Rs. 45 per Cylinder as Transport charges to deliver the cylinder at CHIKKATIRUPATHY, MALUR TALUK, KARNATAKA. This agency is charging the total cost of Cylinder is Rs 370/-, without issuing the receipt for the cost of the cylinder. In addition to this agency is delaying the supply of cylinder minimum of 45 days for the supply of cylinder. Hence it is requested you that please provide me the necessary details that whether the consumer is to give any transport charges to the agency, if not please initiate necessary action against the agency. It is also requested you that please tell me that what is duration for the issue of the cylinder.

                              Subject: Problem in distribution of LPG cylinder refills.



                              Sir,

                              We, the cosumers of Indane LPG have to entreat you with regard to the subjected problem in the following ways:

                              1. CASH & CARRY SYSTEM: Most of the Gas agencies have their godowns far away from the agency. For example Harishchandra Gas Agency of Teliarganj, Allahabad and has it’s godown 20 Kms. away at Gohri (remote village area ) and customers have to collect their Cash & Carry cylinders from a distance of 20 Kms. Similarly, M/s Ram Krishna Gas Service Allahpur, Allahabad has it’s godown at Jhunsi, nearly 15 Kms away from the agency for cash & carry distribution system. It might have been distributed somewhere near to Agency as it was being done earlier (if not daily, alternately).

                              2. HOME DELIVERY: All the agencies at Allahabad do not have their registered venders for home delivery, neither they have vender’s registration in local police circle. Consequently their unauthorised venders delivers the refill cylinders by making 3 into 2 cylinders. Further they do not have weighing balances with them neither they have any identity card nor proper uniforms. Generally ladies have to face these unauthorised venders and they are being befooled by this vender & Gas Agency conspiracy. Home Delivery service sometimes takes even more than a fortnight inspite of repeated requests. However, hardly 10% home delivery is provided and remaining 90% is covered by Cash & Carry system.

                              3. SUB-AGENCY: In Allahabad, there are a number o[censored]nauthorised sub- agencies/refilling plants running, making 3 refills in 2 refilled cylinders and this conspiracy is going on with the help of authorised agencies by bulk supply to them.



                              Further, all the gas agencies are charging equal rate for Cash & Carry and Home Delivery both.



                              In the light of the above problems, we would like to request you to make convenient DELIVERY SERVICE NORMS very strict to facilitate the customers and ensure the applicability of the same.

                              My complait is regarding the desiplinary action, at the date of 7-07-10 the service man came with cylinder and hand over the cylinder and my mother gave the amount 500/-, at the time in my mother hand dont have change.the service man talk some irresponsible like, you have keep the amount when your are booking at the time itself, if your are thinking you have to pay aditional 10/- rupees.At the time my mother has inform, if you behave like this we will complaint to your office suddenly he answer you make a complaint they dont make action against me.after that we make acomplaint to agences on that day they we inform the person will come and supply.Again we make a complait on 08-07-10 regarding this issue, today is 09-07-10.But still we cant recived the cylinder.so pls kindly take some action regarding the issue.we are waiting for your reply.through phone or mail:[protected]@yahoo.co.in

                              I am the consumer of ioc gas since 1972. The present distributer is BABAR PUR GAS SERVICE Kabir nagar Dlhi. I booked my refill LPG cyllander on 30 June 2011 on Phone NO. [protected]the booking NO.[protected].I waited a long but i did not get my lpg refill cyllander. I contacted complaint No. [protected] which is provided by IOC. vide complaint NO. 144180 dtd 12 july 2011.

                              Inspite of long waiting and complaint, I am unable to get my refill cyllander till today ie. 16th july 2011. It is a matter to be considered deeply. I hope that a need full action may be taken.

                              i am having lpg connection no. RC-14008 under The Railway Mens Consumer Co-op Society Ltd. Katihar Bihar 854105 SAP code- 153485, Code 66180018.
                              sir i am very much aggrieved due to following-
                              1- the distributor used to take booking for lpg after 21 days of the delivery.
                              2- thereafter he delivers the refilled cylinder after 20 to 35 days.
                              they have made artificial scarcity by saling cylinder in black in high prices.

                              you are requested to look into matter and advise the concern distributor to take booking just after dilivery.

                                Dear Sir/Madam,

                                There is no Indane Gas supply to Kattigenahalli area which falls at Baglur Cross,Yelahanka Old Town,Bangalore.
                                On contacting the nearest Indane Gas Station which flls at Yelahanka Old Town, we were told that minimum 10 houses should be there so that they can start the supply.They told us that they'll come for inspection to get the head count. But either of these things have not happened yet.There are already more than 10 houses that are using Indane gas and the residents have alot of problem getting gas cylinders refilled.

                                  My Gas agency details are as below, my Consumer # is 7828.

                                  Name: Banjara Gas Agency.

                                  Address: My Home Mount View Appartments, Yousuf Guda - 500073.

                                  These people do not pick the phone, after many many attempts from our side, If they pick it up they will just disconnect in seconds without any response. Their behaviour is very rude.

                                  Can anyone Please let me know proper channel to complaint against them.

                                  V v true...I too have been facing this same problem. They just keep the receiver down and do not take any calls.Its very irritating. And me being a senior citizen cannot go to their office everytime.I wanted a technician for servicing the stove but not able to get in touch with them.Must have called up atleast 2o times to the technician on his mobile but everytime he says will come tomorrow but doesnt come. Even I desperately want to make a complaint against Banjara gas service. Extremely poor service.

                                    My consumer no is 7010 with Baghajatin Gas Service,31 Baroda Avenue,Kolkata 700084 for nearly 20 years.last month I booked on 16/01/2008,being 8212 the order number, and the cylinder was delivered on 31/01/2008.Thus we were out of gas for several days. Yesterday when we attempt to book for the next, we were told to book only after 21 days.Is it the custom?
                                    If so I shall request for a third cylinder as a cylinder ordinarily lasts for 20-22 days.Please help.

                                      my name is prabha devi,i m using gas connection no.23964,from roop gas service,A-1/23...new kondli,delhi.110096,,,i booked my gas some days before,and i got it delivered at my place after around 9-10 days on 08/02/2008...
                                      ,,and even after that the delivery person delivered A LEAKAGE CYLINDER TO ME...and since 08/02/2008,i made many calls to the agency,emergency no.s...and every of the no.s...but there is no response from their side...im calling them again and again,everytime they are saying that they are sending someone,but no body came...pls tell me what i can do...

                                        Indane gas new connection not done at Gurgaon reason

                                        I am linked with "Auraiya Sahkari Indane Gas Service" and My Costomer No. is 4517. I have booked a gas cylender (riffeling) on 29/09/2008 and my coupon no. is 82627. And till today I have not recieved the cylender.
                                        Please kindly accept my problem and take some appropriate steps to solve the problem.
