Dear sir / madam, Whenever we are trying to book ticket with IRCTC, nowadays we are always facing the above said problem and we are not able to book the tickets. Also we are getting the debit message from our banker but the ticket was not booked in the IRCTC. We are getting the money back from IRCTC for the unbooked tickets, but we are facing the problem for the tickets are not booked for emergency situations. Hence you can avoid this problem for the individual ID holders who are not booking any bulk booking and block the agents ID at the time of TATKAL booking time. Also kindly request you to increase the speed of IRCTC website. Thanking you N Jayakrishnan

    Dear Sir, I made an internet ticket from irctc website on dated 21/01/2014 (for journey on date 7/02/2014, Kota Jn. To Ahmedabad, PNR No. [protected], Train name” Parasnath Exp.”) Train was supposed to arrive at Kota jn railway station at 5.50 PM on 07/02/2013, but when i reached at station, I was informed that train is late more than two hours. I waited there for approx 1 hour & again it announced that now train is late more than three hours, so I came back to home & near about 7.00 PM on same day I approached to IRCTC for cancellation of my E-ticket. On website of IRCTC, It showed that cancellation of said ticket is not permissible as the chart was already prepared, so it suggested that I have to File TDR. So as suggested I went to file my TDR on IRCTC website & selected the genuine reason which was “train was late more than three hours & passenger did not travel”. So I cancelled my plan to travel on that day due to heavy rush in each train as well as non-availability of confirm birth. That’s why I booked another ticket through Reservation counter of Kota to reach Ahmadabad. On dated 22/02/2014 I received a mail from IRCTC stated “refund is not admissible as the train was on time that day”. I got surprised & questioned to myself that, is it possible that Indian railway do not have any record of their running trains (i.e. at what time which train reaches on which station)? How they can become so irresponsible to say that train was on time. I felt they acted very unprofessionally. Actually on that day train was late more than 10 hrs. So I replied of this mail but didn’t receive any replay from concern. Again I reminded them through various mails but every time received no response. So finally i decided to approach to consumer court. And one major thing is that, due to this delay; I couldn’t attend my exam officially, which was scheduled on 08/02/2014 at Ahmadabad. So you are requested to please look in to the matter & take some strict action against IRCTC and also arrange for suitable recompense to me.       Dear Sir,

      I booked tickets with PNR no. [protected] from irctc On 2nd November 2013 from Hyderabad to Bilaspur for two passenger including my wife with 9 months old child in talkal facility, Out of which only one ticket got confirmed. Since i could not leave my wife and child i could not traveled and filed a TDR for refund for the ticket not got confirmed withing 1 hour of departure of the train. After which i am following up since last 5 months from IRCTC and got reply as per railway i traveled on the same train alone. Same day and almost on same time i had book another train with PNR no. [protected] from Hyderabad to Nagpur which got confirmed and i traveled on the same train with my family which is proof of my not traveling with earlier train. I need your help to get my refund of Rs Aprox 4500 from IRCTC of refund.

      Total cost of Ticket was Rs 4500 aprox for two and since its not confirmed i was supposed to get refund of both the ticket with minimum charges deduction. In this way i am expecting Rs 4300 aprox as refund. Now its already 5 months gone and i was regularly following up with IRCTC they asked me to contact Patne Railway Incharge who insulted me and asked not to followup with them and followup with IRCTC. This all followup cost me some where around Rs 3000 more.

      I want my refund back of ticket and compensation for the time spend on followup with my phone and internet bills.

      I was booking a TATKAL ticket from Siwan Jn(SV) to New Delhi (ndls) On 09 june 2015 in Bihar Sampark Kranti at 10:02 AM by my IRCTC Account ambuj30.
      My Transaction id is [protected].₹ 617.8 had debited from SBI Debit card but PNR not given And Status was Reservation Failed.I have contacted IRCTC inquiry no 139 they told that money will be credited back within 72 hours but till my money had not been refunded back to SBI Debit card account.

        My name is deepak devre i booked online reservation of ticket from baroda to bombay in vadodara express for 24 march time 22.30 and done online payment from my standarad chartered debit card and than i book onother online ticket from bandra to baroda in Bhuj Express but on my first transaction the aamount of ticket worth rs. 1837.47 of 3 tire AC is diducted from my account and your on line travel portal showing a error... then i done another transaction for ticket its showing sucsesfull transaction and i got the reservation bit what about my second transaction the ammount has been deducted from my account worth rs 1837.47, how can i get it back in my account please inform me ASAP...

          That day train was departed from KGP at 10:10 PM. and within hour time irctc website was not reachable due to schedule
          maintenance / whatever may be the reasons. and I am traveling by train
          some time Internet was not continuing due to network failure through my
          mobile.
          please let me know one thing that, how a person can do TDR
          whenever he/ she is traveling and your stations are not so modernized
          that you are providing cyber cafe within platform / station.You
          have no idea about your KGP station's waiting room. There is only one
          waiting room where, SL, 3A, 2A, 1A, first class passengers are awaiting
          for train. So, may noisy.
          Hence, your new rule is repudiate. if you are making some
          excuse rule where you do not have to pay passenger due to your fault and
          harassing passenger then it is not acceptable.you are requested to settle the amount per return.

            Hello, This is in reference to PNR No: [protected] (SC to MAS) for which tdr has been filed on 24 Dec 2013, the ticket has been booked for 5 passengers for which 1 has been cancelled and out of 4 passengers only for 2 passengers seat birth has been confirmed. Hence remaining 2 passengers has not travelled. The TDR has been filed against passenges whose seat birth is not confirmed. IRCTC replied me back on 7 Feb 2014 stating that "Please send the *_Original TTE Certificate/GC issued against * PNR No.[protected]. In absence of the Original Certificates, refund cannot be processed". I don't have either *_Original TTE Certificate/GC issued against_* PNR No.[protected]. When the passenger has not travelled how can they collect certificate ? So far I have not produced any certificates for TDR filing and I have not seen any rules procedure like this as mandatory to produce certificates. The TTR list shows the list of confirmed passengers travelled based on which TDR refund process is happening. If submission of certificates is the procedure this is no where mentioned in IRCTC refund rules. This request is pending for long time since 24 Dec 2013. There is no proper response for IRCTC. They are insisting invalid procedures on passengers for making false profit. I request higher officials to look into this issue and approve the tdr which is filed against this pnr and do the possible refund of amount.             ​Hi, Still there is no proper response on the complaint posted. Refund of amount against TDR filed is not done still. When passenger is not travelled how can they collect "Original TTE Certificate" . This kind of response seems to be false strategy by IRCTC in making false profit out of public money.               today morning, (at 8.05am: 03/18), I tried to book train ticket from NZM to MRJ ( in train 22868) for 17-May. During transaction, 1657.47Rs has been deducted from credit card account and session got expired before ticket book confirmation. so, ticket didn't get booked and money deducted.                 Sir/Madam, Its very painful to know that even after having paid the fare in ac Coaches, every time we r being provided bedsheets that Have been used previously...for eg on18/03/2014, train no14705...When i complaint to concerned Staff he argued and instead of accepting his fault he told to complaint on higher level..Kindly take strict action regarding it...

                    I (P Surya Tej CH) have booked my ticket for journey from Vijayawada to Chennai as per particulars hereunder:- Train No.15630/BZA. DT. OF JOURNEY 09 Feb 2014 S3/43 confd berth. The train was supposed to reach Vijayawada Stn. on 09 Feb.2014 at 11:55 AM. When we reached the station, we were told that the train may arrive at Vijayawada station around 4 p.m on 09 Feb.2014 and there was no information of the train departure as yet. After struggling for 1-2 hrs we came to know the train may arrive around 5pm. Finally the railway board showed the train will reach Vijayawada Station at 5.30 pm in the evening and it continued to show delayed and time kept changing. There was no proper response from the Railway Enquiry people and the train status was not shown on the TVs. I have filed my TDR the following day and now it has been informed it will not be refunded. I was supposed to catch a flight to Singapore on 10-Feb-14 12.45am. Since, the instructions said the train will be reaching at around 5.30pm, I have no choice but to catch another special train which is also supposed to depart Vijayawada by 11.50 am but ran late and reached vijayawada by 2.30pm. I have boarded this train and expected that I will reach the airport on time. The journey was a disaster too. The train ended up reaching Chennai Central at 11pm. Due to this inordinate delay, I have almost lost the chance to board the flight putting me into great inconvenience AND DUE TO YOUR UTTER NEGLIGENCE WE UNNECESSARILY SUFFERED PHYSICALLY, MENTALLY AND MONETARILY. I would like to know what is the penalty to Railways for making passengers suffer when they know the tickets are never readily available. There was no alternate arrangement. On top you are not refunding out amount which let to further loss of money instead of compensating on the extra amount spent on travel. We are not here to pay for Railways negligence so please refund the amount for this ticket at the soonest. Is this how you respond to your Valuable customers ? If our demands are not met, I need to take further appropriate escalation steps to this issue. Email reply for IRCTC says Dear Customer, With Reference to your TDR Filed against PNR No:[protected], for the refund o[censored]nused ticket, we regret to inform you that refund is not admissible as informed by Enhanced Coaching Refund System developed by Center for Railway Information Systems (IT Arm of Indian Railways) implemented in Indian Railways stating '(Train Delay:0, ActDep: 09/02/2014 11:55 )TDR TIME OUTSIDE LIMIT FOR PNR - [protected]' and the reason being : "TDR was filed beyond the prescribed time limit."                     The same problem occurred with me also.
                    I think they are here to make people fool. & every time send same text "refund is not admissible as informed by Enhanced Coaching Refund System developed by Center for Railway Information Systems (IT Arm of Indian Railways) implemented in Indian Railways stating '(Train Delay:0, Acted: 09/02/2014 11:55 )TDR TIME OUTSIDE LIMIT FOR PNR - [protected]'".

                    So please suggest what can we do further to solve this issue.

                      irctc does not inform that it is everydays story that passengers are being robbed in jnaneshwari train of kolkata.And there is nobody to listen on the contrary all responsible railway officials misguide the suffered passengers .I am senior citizen of india and want justice from indian railways as i was robbed in the running train of jnaneshwari returning from kolkata to mumbai on 10th of march .I have fulfilled all the necessary procedure of FIR, Rpf help but all is useless . There is no security of passengers in indian railways .please give us justice and take necessary action so that i can get all my belongings and necessary valuables back.

                        i travell on last year 25/3/13. from ongole to calcutta in third ac.but due to some technical problem in 3rd ac compartment all passengers are shifted to sleeper from tadepalligudem-vishakapatnam.ticket collecter said you get money to file tdr in irctc.already i file the tdr.the current status is re grated.who is responsible for this inconvinience

                        I have booked ticket on july 1st and travel date was 16th august in train number 22644 from chennai to kochi. But the train was running late for 5+ hours. I was having final sem exam the next day and fearing that the train will be more late I travelled in a different train. And I have filed TDR for the booked ticket. But still I haven't got it refunded.
                        Kindly help me out in this issue.
                        There were two 3AC tickets which I had booked and I had cancelled them on 9th September 2014. The cancelled amount has not been credited to my account but it is showing refunded in my IRCTC account.

                          Sir/Ma'am, This is to inform you that today[protected] platform number of train YPR-Patliputra Exp (22352) was changed abruptly on Katpadi (KPD) station. All the displays as well as announcements said the train is to arrive on 2nd platform. We were waiting for the train on 2nd platform at KPD station at boogie number 8th position because that is where our boogie was to arrive according to the display board. We arrived at the station around 13:20 and the train was to leave at 13:35, we heard all the announcements and they all said 22352 will arrive on 2nd platform. After a while we came to know that the train have left from 3rd platform rather than 2nd platform. This is my humble request, please provide the details of the procedure of how I can refund my Tatkal ticket's money. Above mentioned situation is not at all my fault and I don't want to pay money when I haven't travelled. Hope you will help me through this.

                                I (Namita) booked tickets for journey from Nasik Road to New Delhi as per particulars hereunder:- Train No.04013/VSG NDLS A/C EXP. DT. OF JOURNEY 03 Feb 2014 Coach/ Seat Nos. B/4 Nos. 57 & 63 confd. berths The train was supposed to reach Nasik Road Stn. on 03 Feb.2014 at 10:50 AM, 10:55 AM. The PRS information on net was showing this train as 'Cancelled', When v reached the said platform we were told that the train scheduled to leave from Vasco at 8.40 p.m. on 02 Feb.2014 and there was no information of the train departure as yet. I called 139 and they said they cannot track this train and local station Master can only let you know the status. After struggling for 1-2 hrs we came to know the train started 12 hrs late from VSG. Finally the railway board showed the train will reach Nasik Road at 6 pm in the evening and it continued to show delayed and time kept changing. Since the Waiting room was full with all the people of this train and other trains there was no place to sit also. Finally few people approached the zonal GM and finally he got the VIP room opened at around 11 pm where in the train was again pushed to be arriving at 2 am in the morning. All through this process before i filled the TDR the PRS showed the train as cancelled and no other information was loaded. I was travelling with my Father who is 72 years old (Senior Citizen)and after waiting for so many hrs and still the waiting time was continuously pushed and due to health reason i had to take the decision to take some rest and stop waiting indefinitely. I was continuously sending emails to irctc and am attaching an email for your reference. Since this was not our home town we were sting on the railway station and asking the station master about the updates else we always rely on the online information and in this case it was misleading. I filled my TDR during midnight and now it has been informed it will not be refunded. Due to this inordinate delay we lost on to our important work putting us into great inconvenience AND also inconvenience to SENIOR CITIZEN AND DUE TO YR. UTTER NEGLIGENCE WE UNNECESSARILY SUFFERED PHYSICALLY, MENTALLY AND MONETARILY. I would like to understand what is the penality to Railways for making passengers suffer when they know the tickets are never readily available and due to this we also lost the change of booking another ticket on Tatkal. There was not alternate arrangement. On top you are not refunding out amount which let to futher loss of money instead of compensating on the extra amount spent on travel. We are not here to pay for Railways negligence so please refund the amount for this ticket at the soonest. Is this the service to passengers from your Railway? If our demands are not met v will have to take further appropriate escalation steps to this issue. Email reply for IRCTC Dear Customer, Kindly note that If the train is marked as "CANCELLED" in PRS due to breaches, floods, accidents etc. full refund is permissible in case the ticket is cancelled within 72 hours of the scheduled departure of the train. In the very same day i cancelled the ticket and in the website it showing, the refund is already made . But as of now i haven't received the refund amount.                                     Dear Sir, I planned my travel from HWH to CTC for two people for the date 05/03/2014 for Dhauli Express. While I finished filling up the necessary information and proceeded to pay, I realised that the Payment was being processed and suddenly I got a message on my phone stating that an amount of Rs.312.48 was debited through my Debit Card Numbered [protected], and suddenly I found that the session had expired. However due to the emergency I tried booking the tickets again, but the same thing happened all over again. When I tried reopening the website and check the last booking history, none of the tickets were booked. I request you to kindly give me the refund of the twice deducted money or else we would be forced to take legal actions. Hoping to get a prompt action from your end.                                       Ref: Ticket PNR: [protected], Booked On: 11-Jan-2014, Class: 3A Date Of Journey: 31/01/2014, Train No: 11078From Station: NDLS (New Delhi), To Station: MMR (Manmaad) Passengers: 4 Adults Dear Sir, I booked e-ticket, as per the above-mentioned details, on irctc.com. I had to travel with my wife (25 yrs.) and two other persons. However, after charting the status was CNF on one seat, RAC on two seat, & waiting on remaining one seat. We could not traveled due to RAC/WL status of 3 out of 4 passengers after final chart prepared. Hence, on the same day 31/01/2014 early morning around 5:00 AM, I filed TDR with reference ID:[protected]. Actual time of departure was 10.20 AM on 31.01.2014 and TDR Filed on 31.01.2014 around 5.30 AM (More than 4 hours before the actual departure of train). After 31 Days, On 3/3/2014 I recieve an email from irctc:"With Reference to your PNR No:[protected], we regret to inform you that refund is not admissible as informed by Railways through their letter no : DCR070214V63080 and the reason being : 'TKT not Surrendered/TDR not within 2/3/3 Hrs(CNF/RAC/WL) of actual departure of Train." This was a very bad experience with irctc. Therefore, it is being requested that Consumer Court may kindly look into the matter with irctc & railways for refund. Please look into this matter.
