This is to register a complaint about the lack of cleaning service in Indian Railways. Until sometime back it was seen that cleanliness and hygiene was the norm in the railways as there was regular cleaning and a proper waste disposal system in place. However my recent trip in the Sanghamitra Express 12295 showed that the service was temporary because I was informed that the company to whom the tender was issued had expired so the service was stopped. As a result there were cockroaches and rats in our compartment and the neighbouring ones too. I urge the Railways department to kindly take notice and re introduce the cleaning service as it helped the 25 million passengers that travel in it daily.

    I am from vadodara gujarat.I went to pilani for 29th international annual techfest-apogee 2011 on 25th march held at bits,pilani.so,i preferred to go chirawa from jaipur and gone there by meter guage train.When the train reached the station chirawa there was one another train on platform.I was new and no one in my coach.so,i think it may not chirawa.On this station only one side board notifying about station.so,i can not locate station.Eventually both train started at same time.suddenly,i see station chirawa.so,i try to pull chain but it was not stopped and i have to jump off train.i was injured.i inform and give complaint to station master but he did not respond me.I have given him letter to chirawa station master.My mobile nokiae63 is also damaged.so,i want back my 8000 rs for mobile.otherwise i m going to case on indian railway of murder attempt in court of law....

    Indian Railways — no proper service

    sir,

    i travelled in Tamil Nadu Express on 13/01/10 in ac 2nd class in coach A3 I was not givenapkin after request it was only given on 14/01/10 when I repeatedly asked for it. also there were a lot of cockroaches in the compartment and apart from this the glass door was not closing to full causing cold air to come inside as that day was itself cold it created a problem and there was no liquid soap in the toilets.

      Excess Fare for Sr. Citizen
      PNR [protected] from Cuttack to Howrah on May 21, 2011 by Train No. 12840.

      As per recent Railway Budget, Sr. Citizen shall be entitled to 40% discount on fares effective April 01,2011.

      The usual fare for the above ticket is Rs 709.00 and with 40% discount the fare charged should have been Rs 425.00. However, fare charged is Rs 545.00.

      Are we to understand that the budget proposals have not been implemented ?

      This is kaushal kumar. I met with my friend at Sonarpur Station and when i return back from station then ticket checker fine me Rs. 256. This is not fine for plate form ticket. They charged access fine.

      Indian Railways — Concessions to Sr.Citizens

      Senior Citizens were given some relief in the budget of 2011-12,but the Railways are still to implement them.Also the age for women passengers to be eligible as sr.citizens had been slated to be 58 years ,but the fate here also.Are the Railway implementing authorities are superior to Indian Parliament who have passed the budget? I pray them to honour the decision of Parliament.Dr.Jamanlal.(Age 66years)
      Excess fare has been charged towards booking of tickets from Bangalore-Chennai for the dates 01/7/2011 to 02/7/2011 vide PNR NO[protected]and[protected] of the train no: 12291 and 12292. Instead of offerring 40% concession to Sr.Citizens only 30% has been extended. The commercial circular No:18/2011 dt:13/05/2011 clearly indicates that the tickets booked on or after 01.6.2011 has been given 40% concession to Sr.citizens, whereas the railways not implemented the same and not issuing concession to the Sr.citizens as declared by the HMR during budget.Please anylse the lapse and do the needful to refund the excess fare collected.Early action is highly solicited.

      The Honourable Minister for Railways has announced during the Railway Budget for the year 2011-12 that Sr.Citizens will be given 40% concession in basic fare. This has also been confirmed by the Railway Authorities vide commercial circular No TC II/2161/2011/SRC/Policy dt:13.5.2011. The above concession will be effective from 01.6.2011.. I have made reservation from Bangalore-Chennai for the dates 01.7.2011 and return on 02.7.2011 vide PNR NO[protected] and[protected] for the trains no;12291 and 12292 of Yeswantpur-Chennai Express. The Railway Authority has not extended the 40% concession and considered only for 30% concession to the Sr.Citizen. They pleaded their ignorance to extend the 40% concession evenafter the said circular has been published in many news papers for the interest of travelling public. Thus the Railway Authorities have excess collected from the Sr.Citizen without adhering rules and regulations from time to time. The Sr.Citizens were kept in the dark and the announcement made by the Hon Minister for Railways is nothing but travesty of facts.The gulliable Sr.Citizens are being cheated by the Railways as seen from the above.

        DEAR SIR/MADAM I SALMAN BASHIR had booked a ticket of train Jhelum Express on 05/01/2011 from new delhi to jammu and departure date oftrain was 07/01/2011.pnr no. was [protected] and transaction id. was [protected].I booked ticket on www.irctc.co.in by jammu and kashmir bank credit card.The train was late more than 10 hours and the passengers not travelled.so, it is the fault of railway management and they have not refund my amount into the same account and j k bank has charged me interest,late fees as well from booked date to till today.,that is totally injustice with me .the total ticket amount was deducted Rs 1205.312. in my credit card at the time of booking.the details are as :
        Basic fare Rs 1174
        irctc chages Rs 10
        1.8 % gateway charges =Rs 21.312
        total amount =Rs 1205.312.
        After that bank has charged interest,late fees on amount Rs 1205.312 from booked date to till today (nearly 70 days more) and this amount becomes Rs 1850 .the due date of amount is 30/03/2011 if i cannot deposit amount in the bank till due date ,the bank will charges INTEREST again. so, i request kindly refund for Rs 1750 into the same account as soon as possible because it is railways` fault and is totally injustice with me.please assist better.I hope u will solve my issue

          Dear Sir/Madam,
          I have done reservation from Varanasi to Delhi (BBS DLI SPL train ) and then Delhi to Bangalore (Bangalore Rajdhani train). Every thing was fine. But after 30 minutes I got SMS from a railway ticket officer that your ticket has been blocked from ndls - bangalore, Please call immediately. When I called on that number then same employee who had booked my ticket told me to come on railway station to give extra Rs. 1000 because you have given less amount otherwise your ticket will be blocked.

          I went there and met him he told me again the same story and told to give again Rs. 1000 otherwise you will loss Rs. 4600. I told him I am sure that I have given correct ammount but he was repeating the same thing then I paid extra Rs. 1000. But later I came to know this fraud thing.

          I was very upset and I losing my faith and trust from Indian Railway services where employee is doing such serious fraud thing. I still have that mobile number from which I got SMS and also that SMS.

          That mobile number is: [protected]
          and SMS is 'Ur ticket is blocked ndls - bangalore 1ac, dated 17-05, call immediately'.

          I don't know that employee name.

          Please help me to get my money back and also do the need full with that employee to learn a lesson and for us to maintain our faith and trust with Indian raiway service.

          Ticket booking date: 04-April-2011 between 9:30 to 11:30

              Khandwa Jn. (M.P.) through train number no. 12617 (Mangala Express )SLR boogie no. 05714 (first compartment) .but till date i could not received my luggage .i continuously trining
              to contact the concern authority and detail of the same is under...

              1 .) luggage un loaded at Hz. Nizzmuddin Delhi
              2.) luggage again despatched from Hz.nizzmuddin to Khandwa through two different train

              a) Goa Express (train number 12780, slr number 92704) billty number B-668887 (house hold)on dated[protected]
              b.) Swarnjanti express (train number 12782 , front slr number 007736 )billty number B-668886 on dated[protected]

              but again luggage not unloaded at khandwa
              c.) after Gatling an enquirer y from Delhi ,luggage twice d reached at Hz. Nizzmuddin & Dispatched again on dated[protected] Goa Express to Khandwa ( front slr 92749).
              but even through material not unloaded at khandwa and billty number B-668886 (motor cycle) unable to trace out where it is unloaded.

                I am staying at Villivakkam, thirunagar. There is a crossing between thirunagar & anna nagar west.
                most of times the gate is opened. We just crossed the gate, After that we realised that the train is on the way. It is difference of few seconds. there is no indication for train coming to the station. Gate is also not closed. By fortune, we got our life safe.

                It is very careless. Please realise the human value and life.

                  After 7 months i got the status as "3104-SER/4 Delay not condoned. The case is repudiated.".
                  but i didnt understand that. if the e-ticket is in the state as W/L passenger cannot travel on that, so i have the get the money refunded. as one of the passenge ticket is confirmed and the rest 2 are in W/L, i didnt recieved the amount. Could you please look into this.

                  i have booked a ticket for 4 passengers from akola station to mathura with journey date on 20 nov 2013.however my waitlisted tickets did not got confirmed and i have to cancel my journey.on 20 morning i went to station to cancel my tickets but as it was diwali season, station was too crowded.thatd why i thoughy of coming again in evening.
                  in evening also the ticket counters were too crowded so after waiting for 2 hours i finaly reached counter'there the person at counter informed me that the train was at 7 am in morning n now time was 9 pm.so i need to meet station master and file tdr.which i did.
                  the ticket amount was 6000 rs.now i wana know when and how will i receive my amount due!also with which office or authority should i follow up for the matter, can i have some email or contact number?
                  any help or guidence in the matter would be really helpful

                      sir i have booked one motor cycle on 8 feb 2011 from new delhi to gorakhpur station vide PRR No[protected] and Rpt No- 0082975.(luggage booking was done).on the same day i also boarded Bihar Sampark Kranti (12566) PNR No [protected].and i was assured by the New Delhi Parcel office that the bike will reach next day morning but the same didnt happen.later i approached the parcel office of gorakhpur at around 1000 hrs ON 9 FEB 2011 but i was told that the bike is still to come and again i reached the office in the evening at 1800HRS ON 10 FEB 2011but again i was denied though the bike was kept in the godown, saying that the godown is sealed at 1700hrs but to the best of my knowledge it needs to open for 24 hrs. i was told to come next day and then i was given my bike after taking a warfare charge of rs 190/- for 19 hours delay..
                      sir i have the following grievance and i need a reply from the railways on the following aspects:
                      1.sir since the parcel office is remaining open for 24 hours and the railway is incurring so much of money to run the system whole day then why certain things are not being delivered to the customer at any point of time
                      2.why my luggage was not delivered to me the same day on 9 feb 2011 at 1015 hrs though it was luggage booking, and also on 10 feb 2011 at 1800 hrs.
                      3.why the penalty charges are not being mentioned in the luggae ticket performa.
                      4.why such unreasonable charges are being charged from the customer if at all any.

                      hope for a kind and a suitable action

                        At about 5.30 pm My Indian Railway sponsored CUG Mobile No. [protected] is missing from the Chetla area, PS Chetla, Kolkata-700027. Complaints lodged with Chetla police station No 1512 dt 22.03.2011. Phone model No. Nokia 6300 and IMEI No. [protected].

                        It is requested to lock the phone and record all calls after 5.30 pm on 22.03.2011 to submit it to Joint CP Ms Damayanti Sen of Kolkata police for its tracking as it is Central Govt CUG and containing many important informations.

                          why this ticket amount of Rs 89 is not debited in my ICICI bank account??????

                          When railway authority very well known that train was cancelled from Howrah Jn on that day, it was returned from Kharagpur Jn.Please give me the justification.

                          I am book my e-Ticket from Varanasi to Khandwa in sleeper class on dated[protected] and journey dated[protected].My PNR No. [protected] Train No: 11072 Ticket Charge: Rs 351.00 IRCTC Zone: Group General Manager/Western Zone (IRCTC) Mumbai.I am not travel this ticket (Reason For TDR: Passenger Not Travelled). I am submit my TDR Filing Date: 07-Jan-2013.But Till date it shows that Refund Status: Refund under Process and Reference No: ekt[protected], TDR Zone: CR.

                          So Please refund my ticket money because i am not Travel this ticket.

                            I had booked railway e-ticket from mathura jn to kotkapura jn ( pnr [protected] ) for journey on 21.03.11. it was a WL ticket and after chart preparation it showed an RAC status through internet. Now the problems are-
                            1. Train running status is showing that it is cancelled.When train is cancelled why it was not shown in reservation status.
                            2.I went to Mathura railway station at 18.45 where i got the information that train is coming two hrs late.
                            3. I went to the inquiry staff that why the net is showing the train cancelled whereas the railway station is giving the information as train being two hrs late and not cancelled.He asked me to go to res inquiry counter and the staff at res inquiry counter asked me to go back to inquiry counter.Some other passenger told me that the train will probably terminate at New Delhi.
                            4. the station display was showing that the train is going upto firozpur and there was no information that upto which station train is going. Finally I cancelled my ticket as no proper information was available either from Mathura railway station or through railway website imdianrailway.gov.in.

                              Respected Sir,

                              It is hereby informed that I had booked one 2AC - Railway Ticket pertaining to journey from Jaipur to Ahmedabad. The details for the same are as under.

                              Joureny Date : 14/9/2008
                              Train No. : 2916
                              PNR No. :[protected]
                              Ticket No. : 05335409
                              Status : Waiting List.

                              As the ticket was not cofirmed before the journey, I had decided to cancel the said ticket and hence I reached to Jaipur Railway Station and cancelled the same on 14/9/2008. In this connection, I received one Ticket Deposit Receipt No. B001496 from Jaipur Railway Station wherein it is clearly mentioned that within 90 days I will get my money back at my given residence address but the period of more than 2 years have been lapsed and till date I haven't received refund from Railway Dept. till date. During this period, I followed up a lot but no positive reply received from Railway Dept.

                              In view of the above, I hereby request you to look into the matter personally and help to get back my refund money at the earliest.

                              Your early action in this regards will highly be appreciated.

                              Indian Railways — non refund of waitlisted ticket...

                              sir,On 02.12.09 I bought a railway ticket at Mangalore Railway counter for Train No.6517 of 25.12.09 from Bangalore to Mangalore. Ticket no.93964810 PNR[protected],by paying rs.1674/=only.(dr.ksm rao&mrs.jayagowri) Later we left to Sri Lanka and arrived on 25.12.09 around 5.05pm to Bangalore. rushed to Bangalore city Railway station and after display on chart, late evening ,we realized that we were waitlisted W/L 4 & 5.stood in a long queue t cancel the same and collect refund. The person in charge said I had to collect refund at Mangalore as I had booked the ticket at mangalore.i asked the rule for the same and he was irritable as if he was the final authority of Indian railway. (we travelled by Volvo bus we have retained bus ticket) on arrival to Mangalore, i presented the ticket at the reservation counter at mangalore.they said I should have done this within 12 hrs- which is practically impossible!. They said I have to deposit the ticket with station master of Mangalore, who refused to take it as its a waitlisted ticket, returned my letter &ticket, verbally adv. me to contact ur esteemed office.scince we have not utilized the train/not even seen your train its unfair my money is with railways&my precious time isgetting wasted,plz let me know further procedure for refund-in this special case. you may plz forward this to concerned authorities to modify present rule (if any)which is not in the interest of common man….sir….DR.K S MADHAVA RAO.-MBBS,DPM,(NIMH),FIPS,MAPA(USA)--PRAJNA,GOKARNATH TEMPLE RD,KUDROLI,MANGALORE-575 003. .repeated request all concerned inc ministry -ders no reply

                                Anyone can imagine the life without water. Yes there was no water in any of the coaches of Train No. 12212 Train Name: MKI GARIB RATH .
                                Any one can imagine the horrible situation. Even in the stations like Lucknow, no water was given in the train. Passengers were crying for water in the Toilets.
                                I dont know what railway want to make us understand.
                                This is not the single time i have suffered. Even before i have the same experience in so many express and superfast trains in both ac as well as sleeper classes.
                                Railway plz do something.

                                In train number 02822 coach number S3 we passengers are without water. Anybody can imagine the life without water and cleaniness.Even in station like VSKP water was not filled in train as well as toilets are very dirty.
                                This is not the first time we passengers are suffering. So I am requesting Railways to do needful.

                                  From last one month I am facing problem with recharge of Smart card,

                                  I am not able to recharge in chennai stations, i have tried in 4 stations(i.e, taramani,thiruvanmiyur, park town & chennai central); this is regarding indian railway;

                                  In central station they are saying that try any other station;

                                  @sekar -- Try to get a new SMART CARD soon and ask them to port your balance to your new card.

                                  They will check everything on your new card and will do...

                                    From last two days I am observing www.irctc.co.in, its speed on net is going a patheticaly lowest day by day... most of time its ajax call doesn't ends and i was just watch ajax moving gif rotators only see..attached image.

                                    IRCTC, this is not a request is a suggestion dont harrash passangers with such stupid system...you are very safe because this is India where everything we people take casually but in overseas I could have been sued you...!

                                    IRCTC, if you can not serve a good system then you should stop such harrashing services.

                                      Mai aur meri sister kal 14/03/2011 ko ucchaar exp se Lalgaj se Delhi aarahe the hamari coach no- S2 mai seat no- 62, 72 tha. usi coach mai seat no- 71 GRP ka tha. hamare pass jo saman tha hamne seat ke neche rakha tha. pehle 7:30 ko GRP ke jawan aaye aur ham se tej awaz mai saman hatane ko kaha aur kah rahe the ki apna saman apni seat mai rakhe yaha hum apna saman rakhege to hamare puchne par ki hum apna saman kaha rakhe to to wo hamse ladai karne lage phir baad mai wo chale gaye. lekin wo phir 12:00 am par aaye aur mujhe saman hatane ko kahte kahte mujhe mafrne ki baat karne lage aur kah rahe the ki hum tumhe rail se niche phekh dege aur wo mujhe se aur meri sister se batmiji se baat kar rahe the. un duti GRP men ke naam tha DAYASANKER MISHRA, VINOD KUMAR tishre ne name plate nahi laga rakhi thi aur unohone apni GPR ki seat rupee lekar kuch logo ko de rakhi thi........... mai puchta hu ki GRP logo ki madad ke liye hoti hai ki unehe darne ke liye hoti hai.

                                        i want to make my complaint railway. railway is not now start a new train from somnath to porbandar. why? railway is give new coaches to veraval station. and what's the problem ? why they are not start a train. so i request and complaint to railway and bhavnagar division. plz quickly start a train from somnath to porbandar. and more trains give to somnath porbandar and somnath rajkot local or express trains. bcoz both trains are full of passenger. and everyday trains are full of passenger. in train very crowd so why not give more local trains in somnath rajkot line. so plz....
